“Absolutely would never recommend this planner or service. My fiancé and I were so excited to have our wedding in Vegas and signed up for the “full service” package with Jennifer in 2020.
Obviously major issues with Vegas, traveling, etc over ...those two years, including the sale of our venue, the Palms, to a new owner who didn’t give us any info until Jan 2022—when they told us the wedding date we already pushed wasn’t possible since they would not be open. Afterwards we were told we were her “top priority” for finding a new location but when we dropped everything to go to Vegas to look for a new venue (3 months before the date!), she said she wasn’t available and sent her nice but completely novice assistant who had no understanding of our needs or concerns.
On top of it all, she kept the 2/3 of the contract payment we had already paid--only 1/3 is considered non-refundable-- even though there was no wedding, rehearsal dinner or the majority of things outlined in the contract. The options that were presented to us were not ideal in many ways, with very little information being able to be gained from her assistant at the time. We ended up going to sites on our own and setting up our own meetings to find actual options—turns out this is very easy to do if you just ask locations yourselves.
A massive waste for such a poor experience. Not even a phone call to say how awful it was that we had to cancel our wedding, just a business email confirming cancellation…not the “personable” service we were reassured of signing on to. In our opinion, most of what occurred was not professional, courteous, or even decent and seemed haphazard/rushed.
My husband and I were really upset about our wedding not going as planned but having time to look back and reflect, we are most upset about hiring this service to be our "eyes on the ground" in Vegas. At the end of it all, we had an absolutely wonderful event put together on our own (with the help of on-site teams) with zero input from Jennifer Mary Events. 0/5 stars.
