How do you write a review for someone who is literally the best of the best in the industry? I'm not even talking about the best in Austin, I'm talking about the best...period. And if you expect this to be a short review, you've come to the wrong place, because there is just way too much (that is wonderful!) to say about Jenny. AND sadly I actually had to continue to cut so many things out of this because I exceeded the character limit for posting on here…! It's obvious that Jenny’s photos are just absolutely beautiful and speak for themselves, so I'd much rather use my energy with this review to talk about Jenny and her services as a photographer. We used Jenny for my sister's wedding in 2014 and soon after I got engaged my mom said, "email her as soon as possible so we can find dates that work for her!" Yes...you read that right. We wanted our wedding date (and venue) to work with Jenny's schedule. Thank god it did. As silly as it may sound, Jenny truly helped make my wedding day what it was. It's so easy to get caught up in the anxiety and stress of everything, but she had such a calming presence from the moment she arrived that afternoon to the moment she left late that night. You want a photographer who makes you feel at ease and as comfortable as possible; someone who doesn't make you nervous with big cameras in your face (on top of the already anticipated nerves of getting married!). We met with her before the wedding a few times to set expectations about what we wanted the day to look like, create a schedule (and my goodness did she stick to it!) of portraits and group shots, write out a list of everything that should be photographed (all the details, florals, invitation, jewelry, getting ready, etc.) - she didn't miss a beat and it's obvious she's an expert. She captured every single moment and detail that my husband and I probably would've never had the chance to see and now we're able to enjoy these beautiful pictures of them for the rest of our lives. She knew the venue and other vendors (which you don't realize at the time, but it's such a huge benefit) and has experience working with so many people all over the city. This is something that really helps everything run so seamlessly behind the scenes. One of my other favorite things was meeting with her after the wedding at her office (complete with delicious snacks and champagne!) for a few hours to look at our thousands of photos for the first time and begin to plan our album. She knew it was going to be a memorable time for us viewing those gorgeous pictures (and trying to choose our favorites somehow?) and knew exactly how to mark the occasion. She continued to work with us in the following weeks/months over email to make sure the album layout and elements were exactly what we wanted. Receiving it in the mail a few months later was truly a masterpiece of art- and it's all thanks to Jenny and her incredibly talented work. I always joke that one of the only reasons I wish I could have another wedding is so I could have the opportunity to work with Jenny again. She was SO much more than just a vendor and person walking around with a camera on our special day. Without a doubt, one of Jenny's biggest strengths is working with couples and making sure they have fun, genuinely smile, feel as amazing, calm, and comfortable as possible from your time with her from start to finish. My husband and I will be forever grateful to her for providing us with that wonderful experience.
