Jenny Luu Hair + Makeup

provided thoughtful, practical suggestions to make sure we were ready. Coming in for my hair and makeup trial felt like catching up with a friend. I didn’t have many inspiration photos, just a general idea of the look I wanted, and Jenny had so many great suggestions, especially for someone like me who isn’t very experienced with makeup. She helped bring out the best version of me. On the day of, Jenny was so professional and calm. Many of the bridesmaids commented on how their makeup lasted all night. And for me, she made adjustments to both my hair and makeup to account for the humidity, and it still looked flawless all evening—even through the after party. It also photographed beautifully. Above all, I had a horrible tan line on my back that I was really self-conscious about. I asked Jenny to cover it, and she did an amazing job, even with our tight timeline. I’m so grateful to her for her talent, kindness, and for making me feel beautiful on such an important day.

onalism. From the moment she arrived, she brought such a calm and positive energy, which made a big difference on a busy and emotional day. Jenny did makeup and hair for myself and my bridal party, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A few of us don’t typically wear much makeup, and she took the time to listen to everyone's preferences and comfort levels. She struck the perfect balance between enhancing our natural features and making us feel glamorous without feeling overdone. The best part? Our hair and makeup lasted all night—even through unexpected rain! We were dancing, hugging, and running between tents, and everything still looked flawless in photos and in person. I felt so beautiful, and I owe so much of that to Jenny’s incredible talent.

e to do a bridal trial where she listened carefully to all of my feedback. Jenny perfectly created two distinct styles for each event, and I couldn’t have been happier with how both looks turned out. I had a request to wear my natural curls throughout the weekend, and Jenny was so adaptable to this. She used a small curling iron to enhance the texture of my hair, blending everything beautifully and leaving me with curls that looked flawless all day long. Jenny was incredibly organized, timely and efficient, and her team was equally wonderful. They made my bridesmaids feel just as stunning, and everyone was glowing with confidence. I can't recommend Jenny enough – if you're looking for a talented, professional, and truly wonderful artist to make you feel your absolute best on your big day, she is the one!

open to feedback and we truly had a great time together that day! On wedding day, she arrived per schedule at the hotel and was a joy to work with all day. Everyone's hair looked fabulous and my hair especially looked so beautiful and stayed all night through lots of dancing! Highly recommend booking Jenny!

eading up to the day so easy. She made me feel so comfortable in my trial session with open and honest dialogue throughout. Her day of energy and collaboration with the wedding planner and photographers kept me stress free. My hair and make-up lasted the entire day! Most importantly, she made me feel so beautiful and confident on my wedding day.

answers to all of my nitpicky questions hahah. Throughout the entire process, Jenny was professional, communicative, and clear about her services and what she could offer. In particular, I really enjoyed her email etiquette and it brought some more peace of mind while I was booking all of my vendors, I never felt like I had to chase her down for a response back! We were on the same page about products and skincare and she was very open to feedback throughout the whole process. My bridal party couldn’t stop talking about what a chill and relaxing atmosphere she brought and I can’t recommend her enough to future brides!

out the hair/makeup during the trial, and then finally the actual wedding day prep very easy and fun. Communication was always on point and quick. Of course, the most important thing was that she made me look and feel beautiful and was the perfect person to get ready with on the big day. From the moment she walked into my bridal suite, I knew we were going to have a great day! She is so fun and enthusiastic, but also hyper focused and no-BS. She also did hair and makeup for my mother-in-law and my mom and made both of them very happy — no small feat! Jenny stayed until she was sure that she had done everything she could do for me before I had to head off with the photographer. And she left me with a really nice touch-up/makeup removal kit to last me through the evening! All in all, I really recommend Jenny—for her artistry, professionalism, and awesome personality.

ir skill and how they made everyone feel like themselves! The process of working with Jenny was great, including working on our tight timeline day of. Jenny's trial allowed me to better understand what I was looking for on my day and I ended up feeling fabulous! Cannot recommend her and the team enough!

cation from time of booking through the trial and the day-of was amazing, and I always felt like we were on the same page. I really loved their focus on good hair and skin prep, and emphasis on making sure everyone still felt like themselves - particularly those in the party who were less comfortable with getting their makeup done. Lauren was so gentle with my husband's little sister, who was getting her hair and makeup done for the first time ever. Lauren took the time to explain everything she was doing before it happened and checked in frequently to make sure she was comfortable. My little sister in law went from very nervous to absolutely beaming by the time they were done! Can't thank them both enough for making my wedding morning very chill and comfortable experience! :)

looked stunning but also lasted all night long. Jenny's attention to detail and skill are truly impressive. I received countless compliments on my hair, and it stayed perfect from the ceremony through to the last dance. If you're looking for a talented and professional hair stylist for your big day, I highly recommend Jenny. Thank you for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!

ing! She is extremely professional, organized, and a master at her craft. There were 9 of us getting our hair and makeup done on my wedding day, and we were a little nervous not knowing much about her other artists on her team. We were pleasantly blown away with their talents as well. It was such a calm and enjoyable morning with these sweet talented women. I could not have been happier with both my hair and makeup. It was honestly exactly what I dreamed of and more! It was a soft glam look that made me feel extremely beautiful without looking overdone. I was glowing!! My hair was complete perfection with my soft romantic curls, exactly how I described. Every bride should feel this thrilled with her HMU on her big day. My bridesmaids and MOB/MOG were equally ecstatic. Jenny and her team traveled to CT and everything worked so efficiently, and Jenny was extremely detailed and responsive throughout the entire process. And, best part, our hair and makeup looked perfect throughout the entire day (15 hours and beyond). It was incredible! Jenny is an absolute dream, I cannot say enough about her and my flawless and gorgeous HMU on my wedding day!

keup was so natural and lasted all night into the next morning- I would recommend her to anyone!

s now using products she recommended. I can't speak highly enough of my experience. Not a single hair fell out of place all night.

best on your wedding day. She recommended a number of skincare products for my oily skin that I started using a couple months before the wedding, and WOW did they make a difference. I'm still on them now and will never go back to my old products. Jenny was so attentive, honest, and collaborative throughout the entire process. Unsurprisingly given how much she cares about her clients, I felt like an absolute princess on my wedding day. She truly listened to what I wanted and the results were stunning. She also has a great team of hair and makeup artists who were so attentive and patient with my family and bridesmaids. I can't thank Jenny enough!!!

ke-up and she did a perfect natural look for me. She also gave me a personalized skin routine at my trial that made all the difference and I still use till this day. She really knows her stuff! Not to mention, she's a pro at navigating timelines and working with your planner & photographer (and any other vendors). If you want a seamless & stress free getting ready experience AND beautiful make-up & hair, look no further!

s, she kept me laughing with her wonderful sense of humor, creating such a fun and relaxed atmosphere. On the big day, she worked her magic and transformed me into the most beautiful and confident version of myself. I was in awe of her talent and attention to detail. Every brushstroke felt like an artful masterpiece, tailored to enhance my features and match my vision perfectly. Her expertise and passion for her craft shone through, and I couldn't have been happier with the end result. Not only did she make me look stunning, but she also made me feel like the most special bride in the world. I am forever grateful for her skills and the positive energy she brought to my wedding day. Without a doubt, I would give her a glowing 5-star review and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a makeup artist who is not only exceptionally talented but also a joy to be around. Thank you for making my wedding day even more memorable and beautiful!

care advice, she is truly an expert of her craft. My bridal party and I felt the most beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her amazing talent. Jenny has my highest recommendation and most gracious thanks.

ng attention to detail and used her expertise to make recommendations during our trial on what would work best for my facial features, skin tone, and hair type. During the trial, she also gave helpful tips and product recommendations so I could ensure my hair and skin were in top shape by the wedding day. On our wedding day, Jenny and her team did hair and makeup for myself, our two moms, and my four bridesmaids. Jenny kept everyone on schedule while still creating a calm, relaxed, and fun energy as we got ready in the morning. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful and all of our hair and makeup lasted throughout the night. Highly recommend working with Jenny - she’s the best of the best!

tiful skin and makeup for my wedding day. She is very warm, kind, and easy to work with and helped me create the perfect “soft glam” makeup look.

ed when it comes to hair and makeup which makes you feel so taken care of! Also- very clear about what she needs from you to help her do her best which I definitely appreciated during a very hectic time!

ience getting it done for a wedding I was in last year. Jenny made all of those concerns disappear and I felt beautiful for my wedding! I usually wear very little makeup and Jenny was able to make me still look like myself, but elevated which is exactly what I wanted!

t/natural it looked, which is exactly what I was going for. Jenny was so patient with me as I tried to figure out what I wanted in my trial, and I appreciated that. I had an idea of what I wanted for makeup, but I do not have a vast knowledge of makeup so she was able to help me translate the vision in my head into a reality despite my difficulty expressing it. All of my bridesmaids also looked great and felt incredible. I also appreciated Jenny’s organization and processes. She is clear on what you can expect from her and follows through with that with a high level of professionalism. Jenny is at the top of her game and I couldn’t recommend her more!

tar! She also took the time to educate me on my skin which was much appreciated. I highly recommend her!

hedule my August 2020 wedding to September 2021, I'd forgotten to schedule a trial (though not necessary, but recommended!) until about 2 weeks before my wedding but she was able to fit me in (but don't me like me and try to schedule your trials sooner!!) Jenny is meticulous and she cares immensely for the work she does for you. Even in the trial she paid so much attention to detail to make sure everything was perfect and this care and attention to details definitely carried into the wedding day! From skincare tips to day-of makeup, Jenny's simply the best. Her team is also fantastic and my gals all loved their looks so much! She made me look so stunning on my wedding day! I would 1000% hire her again and recommend her for anyone needing a hair and makeup artist!

about makeup or skincare, but overall, I'm happy with how we all looked.

yone loved their makeup and hair, even the ones who rarely would wear a full face of makeup. I, as one of those people, had expressed a desire for a softer makeup look and Jenny absolutely nailed it -- I looked like myself but I had never felt more beautiful and confident in my skin. I can't say enough good things -- book her now!

ed my expectations. Having had more than a year between my initial trial and my postponed wedding date, it was like no time had passed and Jenny transformed me. Her and her team created the perfect looks for my bridesmaids and moms- everyone was so impressed and looked absolutely stunning. Throughout the entire process, she was incredibly organized, so professional and just an overall pleasure to work with. I'm so glad I got the opportunity to work with her and her team! I just wish she could make me look that every day! Thanks so much Jenny!!!!!!!!

and asked a lot of questions during the trial to make sure I looked and felt exactly how I wanted. On my wedding day, she was on time and made sure my bridesmaids, mom, and mother in law were all ready by the scheduled time. One of the things I greatly appreciated about Jenny was her honesty! She was very open about expectations with my bridesmaids chosen hairstyles/makeup. I would highly recommend her for any upcoming events!

Both Jenny and Tam were so easy to work with throughout the whole process and I am so grateful for that! I can’t recommend Jenny enough!

She did hair and makeup for both my wife and I (two brides), and we were so happy with how we looked - she perfectly captured the vision we described. Not only is she incredibly skilled in her work, but she's very personable and made both of us feel relaxed and comfortable. We highly recommend her!

arious types of skintones. I'm Indian and have had too many bad incidents with artists who didn't know what they were doing-- Not Jenny! She made sure to ask several questions ahead of our trial to ensure she knew my exact my vision. The final look was flawless, not cakey, not too much shine, just perfect. On my wedding day, she ended up staying well after our agreed upon time to help with my veil and head jewelry. I cannot recommend her enough.

swer your questions thoughtfully. She is so confident in her skills that it makes you feel very comfortable, especially if you are indecisive like myself. I showed Jenny some photos and while it wasn’t exactly like the photo, it still looked amazing, if not better! I trusted that she would know what to do and let her take the wheel, which I am glad I did. My makeup looked amazing without being too heavy and I looked like the best version of myself. My updo withstood 40+ MPH winds on the Longfellow Bridge and lasted far into the night until I took it out at 11pm. My mom looked AMAZING and I am glad Jenny talked her into doing an updo even though she was hesitant at first. Jenny is professional, loves her job, and is great at doing it. Don’t delay putting your deposit down before someone else beats you to it!!

yone comfortable around her. I would absolutely recommend Jenny for any wedding, photoshoot, or event!

ety protocols, but Jenny canceled on me 4 days before the photo shoot by emailing me to say that there was a conflict with using her studio and she was not providing services in a private home due to COVID. I was then put in a position where I had to search for a hair and makeup appointment only 4 days in advance. Again, I understood why she was not providing in-home services but I think she really should have made sure that the studio was available for my appointment months prior when we signed the contract. Luckily this was "just" an engagement shoot but I cannot imagine the stress that this would create had she canceled on me 4 days before my wedding. Luckily Kristina at Flawless Makeup and Beauty in Wakefield saved the day. Jenny was completely unapologetic when she canceled on me until I voiced my disappointment. I certainly would caution brides to think twice before booking with her.

ll flat) and absolutely nailed the makeup the first time around! I’m usually really particular about makeup and when I have it done, often request changes. But when I saw myself in the mirror I was in awe that I still looked like myself, but just an enhanced version. Exactly what I was hoping for. Not only did I love the final hair/makeup result, but she was so fun during the whole process. I felt like we were old friends and really enjoyed talking and laughing with her. I am also very thankful because I felt very safe and clean through the entire appointment, which is really important during Covid times. I absolutely would recommend Jenny to anyone looking for hair or makeup services, and would book her again in the future if the need arose. Thank you, Jenny! You’re a true master of your craft.

feeling like me. I received so many wonderful makeup and hair compliments on my wedding day. Jenny helped me feel so special on my wedding day. Thank you, Jenny!!!

pliments on the makeup you could see on even just the top half of my face! On my wedding day, I felt like an absolute fairytale princess. Jenny knew how to take my vague idea of what I wanted and made it come to life even better than I could've imagined! Thank you Jenny!!!! <3

ry honest with what would be best for my features/hair type and how to achieve the look I wanted. She is spunky and kind and so extremely knowledgeable. Every single one of my bridesmaids loved her (and of course, we all looked BOMB) Additionally, she microbladed my mother's eyebrows (pre-wedding) and did a phenomenal job, helping my mom with a feature she's had issues with for quite some time. Just do yourself a favor and book Jenny now!!

essly translate what’s in your head to reality. She’s quick to respond to any inquiries and her process takes the stress out of knowing you will look like on your wedding day. My makeup and hair lasted all night and it was one less thing to worry about - no touch up needed, even on a super hot and humid day. I’m someone who has stick straight hair that almost never holds a tight curl and she was able to wrangle it into perfectly curled submission without feeling crunchy at all. I was so impressed at how beautiful the makeup looked both in person and in my photographs. I had a few last minute changes to my wedding timeline and she was super accommodating. My bridal party, mother, and I had an easy and relaxing morning with her. I was so impressed how she was able to quickly adapt to everyone’s different tastes and styles. Thank you Jenny for everything!!!

ng about me, my style and my vision for my wedding. I don’t wear a lot of make-up and I’m not very knowledgeable in the skin care / makeup space. Leading up to the wedding, I used Jenny’s skin care recommendations and I’m so happy I did – my skin looked great. I still use the products now. She listened to everything I said and made me look and feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. In addition to make-up, she is a very talented hair stylist and did hair for me, my bridesmaids and my mom. Jenny also had a very talented make-up artist who did the bridesmaid, mother of bride and mother of groom make-up on the wedding day. Jenny is so sweet, knowledgeable, organized, fun to work with and a true professional. She takes her job very seriously and made my wedding planning and wedding day so enjoyable. Thanks for everything Jenny!

4 bridesmaids. She's so professional, knowledgable, passionate about her work, calming, and just a joy to be around. Even though none of us truly knew how to articulate what we wanted except for looking like an elevated version of ourselves, she took that direction and created perfection. Also, my bridesmaids had a such a good experience with Lauren who is truly a master of all different hair types and lengths. I couldn't be happier with how we all looked. To make matters even more challenging for Jenny actually, I had pneumonia (talk about bad timing!) but looking at the photos, you can't tell at all because Jenny made my tired eyes look so bright and full of life. I truly felt beautiful on my wedding day. You cannot ask for anyone better than Jenny Luu and Lauren (and I'm sure anyone that's on Jenny's team). Thank you for making our day so special! I would recommend you to anyone in a heartbeat!

lso extremely indecisive. Working with Jenny was so seamless and easy and I said if I could have her do my make up every day I would! The whole experience from the trial and onward was simply amazing. During my trial, she made me feel so comfortable and I felt like such a princess all day- I couldn't stop looking in the mirror every time I passed one! On the day of the wedding, Jenny showed up early to set up and was just such a calming presence. She did the makeup for my mom, my mother in law, my three bridesmaids, my maid of honor and myself. I'm so thankful that she kept everyone on schedule and everything turned out so well! Jenny made me look and feel absolutely beautiful. My make up looked so natural and she was able to give me a dewy glow while emphasize my eyes. The make up for me lasted all day (and through some tears!) I loved it so much I didn't want to take it off. Thank you for making sure everyone felt comfortable and at ease- it was such a fun, wonderful and relaxing experience for me! I would highly recommend Jenny!

me she was meticulous and precise and blew me away with the results. I had a general idea of the look I wanted, and she made me feel comfortable in my decision while providing additional guidance. Her team also did amazing work on my wedding day, handling the hair and makeup for my large and diverse bridal party of 8 bridesmaids, plus six additional family members. No matter the question or request, they were able to respond with a professional recommendation. Thank you Jenny (and team!) I loved getting to know you and working with you on several occasions!
