Hire them. The best decision we made for our wedding was using Jenny Smith & Co. as our photographers. Mel was an absolute gem to work with. From our first meeting she was patient and understanding. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and it felt like we were hanging out with a friend. Every photo we got turned out so well, and we are glowing from ear to ear. The entire team is also so fast and responsive with every question and concern I had. Do yourself a favor and hire this team. You will be as thrilled with the outcome as we are!!

My husband and I hired Jenny Smith & co for our engagement pictures and wedding. They were incredibly easy to work with, and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous! Jenny Smith and Co did such a wonderful job photographing our wedding. They really knew how to expertly pose us for our couples photos, which is quite the feat considering how awkward I am about having my picture taken. I got married on May 29, 2022 at Saddlerock Ranch. I truly truly cannot say enough good things about the JSCO team. After receiving several referrals, I naturally I reached out to Jenny and scheduled a zoom meeting with Mel who we quickly decided we wanted to hire to photograph our day. What I loved about that first zoom meeting was just the natural flow between Mel and us- the conversation was quirky, real, and soothing, especially after talking to so many vendors who did not appreciate the same level of rapport that I do. Mel led our engagement shoot and the photos were STUNNING. After getting those back, I knew we made the right decision for our wedding day. Leading up to our wedding, we would get regular emails from Jenny helping us plan our big day. Mel worked seamlessly with our planner and other vendors to figure out a flow with so many moving pieces of our big Jewish wedding. When the day finally arrived, Mel and team were beyond extraordinary. They captured so many special moments and made us and our families feel so comfortable in front of the cameras. We had a wedding party of 28 people, plus my husbands huge family, and we got through all of the formals seamlessly. We got our sneak peek in less than a week and the full gallery in about 6 weeks. What I appreciate most, is that even after the wedding and after they’ve done a bulk of their job, Jenny and her team are still helping me navigate some post-wedding anxieties, even if this means going back into raw shots to find moments and photos that I didn’t originally see. I was a total stress ball through the entire planning process and they were so patient and kind to me. Their care and attention to every couple is not comparable. Book them - I promise you will have no regrets!

I’ve never felt more qualified to write a review than I do for Jenny Smith & Co.! My husband and I got engaged in Fall 2019, and quickly began planning our wedding for Spring 2021. Obviously the pandemic threw a wrench into our plans, but the silver lining was that we got to work with Jenny and her amazing team on three separate occasions: for our engagement shoot, 2021 elopement, and our formal ceremony & reception in 2022. Not only are all of our pictures absolutely stunning, but Jenny and her team are incredible people who bring amazing energy to every occasion. Their entire team is reliable, down-to-earth, and just so much fun. Our pictures are the perfect blend of posed and candid, which is exactly what we wanted and why we booked with JS & Co. Their style is photojournalistic, and every single time we look back at our pictures it feels like we’re reliving the day all over again. The level of detail is impeccable. We couldn’t be happier with our experience, and would recommend them to anyone looking to have their day captured in the most authentic, beautiful way.

Jenna was our assigned photographer and I can't describe how amazing of an artist she is - so I will let our sneak peek wedding photos speak for themselves! Jenna and her team pay close attention to the kind of person you are and translate that into photos. She sees the world in such a beautiful, positive, and inspiring way which is translated through her work. She was also SO FAST with the photos, it felt like we didn't waste any time living through the magic of the day to stop and take pictures, which is exactly what we wanted! We are so happy that we chose Jenny, Jenna, and her team to photograph our wedding day! Jenny was extremely warm and flexible navigating the rescheduling of our wedding because of COVID. From the time we met her in person for planning over coffee to her clear and quick email communication to the day of our wedding, Jenny and her team made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. We barely felt the presence of photography at the wedding, as it all felt very natural. Jenny crafted that experience and we’re so grateful! Our pictures are stunning if I do say so myself ;) But it’s all credited to Jenny & team! We received the photos on a well-organized online link that was easy to share with family and friends. I love the mix of more formal family photos, romantic couple photos, candid wedding party memories, and fun reception photos that capture the joyous feelings of dancing with guests. I would highly recommend Jenny & team to any close friend or family member.

To start with the most important bit: we love our wedding photos! One of our primary goals was to get photos that looked natural and candid, and that's exactly what Jenny and her team delivered. The cameras were constantly snapping, capturing the different moments throughout the day, and we're very happy with the final set of edited photos that we got. Prior to the wedding day, Jenny made sure to clear up some logistics with formal photos of family and friends, but besides that all of the magic happened on the day of. Her team came early and even stayed a little past their contracted time just to make sure to capture some of those moments as everyone was dancing into the night, hanging out, and just generally having a good time during the reception. We would definitely choose to work with Jenny and her team if we had to do it all again, and we would also recommend them to family and friends!

Where do we even begin with Jenny + her team...they are truly phenomenal! My (now) husband and I first met Jenny and Melanie at our engagement shoot at Griffith Observatory. After being in lockdown for so long, we were so excited to meet them + finally shoot our engagement photos. We instantly clicked. Both Jenny and Mel are incredible at what they do. They are beyond creative in their shots, they make you feel comfortable, but most of all they keep it so fun + lighthearted. After the few hours we spent with them on that day both Samir and I were so ecstatic for our wedding week to arrive! Our wedding week with Jenny + her team is filled with so many incredible memories. Jenny + her entire team spent the entire week with us shooting our week long Hindu wedding events. It was so so fun to see how each individual on their team has a unique vision. The moments where we would get pulled for a few couple shots with their team were probably some of the best moments for us. Within this time, they always made us feel like we could just take a breather from being around so many people. They continuously made us feel at peace, comfortable, god the amount of laughter when we were all together I can't even put to words!! Not posing us too much but just letting us be in the moment and going with the natural movements. This truly made us feel so happy because these moments are some that we will remember forever, just moments to ourselves but at the same time they were being captured in the most beautiful way. I remember emailing Jenny to see if she could recreate some photos for me on my wedding morning. I sent her photos of my mom from her wedding back in India and my grandmother's photos of her wedding as well. My grandmother had passed a few months before my wedding so when Jenny jumped at the opportunity to recreate these moments for me, it truly made me so happy. To sum it up -- the Jenny Smith + Co Team is truly the most talented photography team I have ever met. Some of our wedding event and engagement photos seem like they are straight out of Vogue! They are the kindest, most fun, and insanely talented team - if you're not hiring them for your wedding you are truly missing out!!!! Even our families fell in love with them! WOW is all I have to say about Jenny. When we had to cancel our original plans and have a micro wedding during covid, Jenny was so accommodating. We had a zoom meeting where we discussed what we were looking for before the big day. Jenny exceeded all our expectations. Our photos are beautiful, loving, moving, exciting, and capture our day flawlessly. Cannot recommend her enough. If only we had enough walls in our house to print every picture she took - there was not one bad or wasted shot. She was a joy to have during the day and is clearly a pro - she never got 'in the way' yet somehow was able to capture the best moments.

We asked for a vaccinated photographer and Jenny let us know that we would need to pay for the most expensive package despite the fact that one of the less expensive packages met our needs. There are a ton of excellent vaxed photographers, if this is important to you I suggest you hire someone else.

The Jenny Smith team was great. The team is organized and professional, which made everything easy and fun on our wedding day. Mel did our engagement photos and wedding photos, and did a great job making us feel comfortable and capturing the beauty of the setting and the joy of our wedding party. Having the same photographer for both the engagement session and wedding day made everything easier, because we already got to know Mel going into our wedding day. We got a sneak peek quickly and love the photos we’ve seen so far.

We just received our wedding photos and let me just say we, as the couple, are BLOWN AWAY!!!! Our photos are amazing. The quality on these photos are astonishing. The way how they took photos of the wedding details are awesome. I didn't have to mention any of these things and I was a little worried, but they got all the shots that I was looking for. Jenny is so easy going as a photographer. She was so easy to get along with. My husband and I had our engagement shoot in Joshua Tree with Jenny as the main photographer and Melanie as the second photographer. They both made it so easy to take photos and they take candid photos that come out great. They put into thought about everything in their surroundings when it comes to the picture. We had fun at our engagement session. Our wedding day is here and it was very easy to get things rolling as they knew exactly what to do and what to take pictures of. They already have asked us a list about what photos we would want and I thought this meant for family photos only so I just gave them a list of what photos we want with family members which they had on hand so when it was time to do photos it was easy to gather people. My tip to other brides is remember if you want pictures of you and your spouse in the detail shots remember to put those in as well. I got some but not all as I did not think about this before hand. Even with that said, I am still VERY VERY HAPPY with our photos from the engagement and wedding sessions. I couldn't have asked for better photographers because this was my hardest vendor to pick when it came to photography. This is the one vendor that will last from your wedding as this is what you want to spend your money in to cherish these moments, but also not break your bank account. They are affordable and I was referred to them by my wedding planner and it was the best referral ever! When it comes to choosing a photographer, I am no expert and what style I want. I see a picture and if I think its nice, it's nice. I had to ask my friend who is a photographer (not for weddings) but know what she is doing and talking about. Out of the 10-15 photographers I sent her, she said Jenny was the best out of all of them. Now mind you this ranged from affordable pricing to extravagant pricing. My friend knows how to edit as well and she said Jenny's was the best. I trusted my friends opinion as we have been friends since junior high school and she was at the wedding! Everyone that I have shown our pictures to has said that our photos are astonishing! I am so happy to have chosen you Jenny and Melanie! Thank you for all your hard work, efficiency, responsiveness, and keeping with the timeline. Chris and I are truly blessed to have these photos forever!

I can’t say enough about JS&Co. From my first facetime conversation with Jenny to talk about details/style/etc, I was certain this was who we wanted at our wedding. Beyond their clearly exceptional work seen on their site, this team really knows weddings, and I so appreciated all of the tips and advice Jenny gave me before the big day- it made me much less nervous leading up to it. The level of comfortability and familiarity that Jenny and Faith provided surpassed my already high expectations, and was talked about extremely positively by many in the wedding party. Best of all, she got our GORGEOUS sneak peek pictures to us 3 days after the wedding. We can’t wait to see the rest!! 11/10 would recommend again.

Everyone fears rain on their wedding day but it happened to me and Jenny made it romantic and stress-free. Jenny and assistant were AMAZING at turning pictures into a fun experience even though we got a little wet. Jenny Smith & Co provides a booklet with many tips that came in handy on wedding day such as purchase of clear golf umbrellas. Jenny and assistant were everywhere, constantly moving to capture the moment at different angles. I was worried that we may have to reshoot pictures on a sunny day which Jenny offered free of charge however, after seeing the sneak peak the lighting and misting could not have made for more ROMANTIC photos. It was truly a pleasure having Jenny as our photographer. I cannot wait to see all our pictures and order our wedding book.

I hired JS&CO Photobooth for my wedding and they were SO easy to work with! I love how their contract & payment are all online. They showed up on time, and the photo booth was a total hit with all of our guests! . We loved how guests could email them selves the photos or GIFs to their emails. We loved how their props are different from your typical photo booth and so did our guests! They had all of our photos posted to their Facebook within just a few days after the wedding, so it was great being able to have some photos back so quickly! Their photo booth attendants are fun and we will definitely be keeping them in mind for future events!

My wedding was on August 18th, 2018! I want to thank Jenny Smith and her team for capturing the emotions in our special moment on the best day of our life. These images capture more then just the day but, the spirit that all those who were in attendance felt. That feeling was very precious to me and Jenny and her team were able to capture it's essence for us! My husband is very picky with photos, we wanted someone to take risks and have fun. We wanted a photographer to capture our moments as they occur, naturally, not a series of staged photos that are unnatural and look awkward when viewing them. Photography! The first vendor I booked for my wedding. It was the number one most important thing to me when planning my wedding. I'm so big about having pictures as the best memories. I looked at Jenny Smith and CO's website and immediately knew I needed to contact them. I went for a consultation and they gave me the low down on everything! I met a few members of the team, and they were so great! In the beginning, I was blindly starting wedding planning, and they helped me with other vendor referrals to get me started. I used every one of their recommendations for other vendors because I trusted them right away. My pictures came out better than I could have imagined!! Melanie and Jenna are amazing!! Not only were they FUN when shooting with them, but they have an eye for amazing shots. They caught some very raw emotion in my pictures which are PRICELESS!!!! They also take pictures of all the little details you may have missed in the busy night such as the guest book, what the flowers looked like, and so so much more! Jenny and her team were our favorite vendors for our wedding. They were responsive, professional, and offered so much value. Turnaround time was quick, photos were beyond beautiful, and we have a ton of photos to keep. They also use an online photo gallery which makes viewing, downloading, sharing, and printing our photos a seamless process. We’ve recommended Jenny and her team to all our friends and family. They were flawless!

Jenny + Mel were absolutely wonderful partners. We haven't received our wedding rehearsal and ceremony/reception photos yet, but I feel confident writing my review now because I know they will be amazing (we just got married on 5/19 and they were great at letting us know exact timelines as to when we could expect them - which is perfect!). From when we first met with Mel and did our Engagement shoot with her, we knew we were amongst friends - Mel literally shared a sweat towel with us because it was so freakin hot in LA when we had our shoot. Jenny Smith & Co was a recommended vendor from our venue :) After browsing her work, we both knew that we wanted her to capture our wedding! My husband and I loved her style. Jenny and her team perfectly captures gorgeous timeless moments. Out of all the vendors, we wanted THE BEST photographer to convey our wedding. My husband was definitely wary about choosing a photographer due to how camera shy I am. We also booked an engagement session and after meeting Jenny, we felt like she was a friend looking after us! We had an incredible experience working with Jenny Smith and Co, particularly Melanie as our photographer. We LOVE our engagement photos and the wedding preview photos that we have seen so far. We have gotten so many compliments. We did an engagement shoot with Melanie 8 months before the wedding to get to know her and feel comfortable in front of the camera. Due to inclement weather we actually had to reschedule the engagement shoot and Melanie and Jenny were great about working with us to find a new date and venue. We highly recommend doing an engagement shoot! Melanie always made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and she got great shots of us and our wedding party. LOVE LOVE LOVE Jenny Smith & Co! I knew immediately after seeing pictures posted from a coworker who hired Jenny for her wedding day, that I would want to hire her too. The style of the photos and moments they capture are STUNNING. After an intro phone call, Jenny shared a few more photos with us to give us a better idea of what to expect, and from there we didn't need to think twice--we booked her right away! Working with Jenny the day of the wedding was amazing. She was so easy to work with and you could tell she's had a lot of experience working at weddings (especially getting all the family members in the right place at the right time!). Also, I am an individual that can feel awkward and tense up when I know people are taking pictures of me. Jenny was GREAT with giving direction and having us change poses. She knows all the cute angles and makes you look like you know what you're doing! We couldn't be happier with the final product and would definitely recommend Jenny anyone who asks.

My fiancé and I chose Jenny to shoot our engagement pictures and then our wedding. I had seen Jenny "in action" at my friend's wedding last year and thought she was so fun! Then when she got her pictures back, I thought WOW!! They were absolutely flawless. I knew I had to have her at my own wedding. When it came time for our engagement shoot, she drove out to Ojai to scope out the area and she even helped me with outfit choices and gave me some suggestions. The engagement photos are so beautiful and her talent for photography really shined in them. Fast forward to our wedding. She brought Melanie who was just as fun and sweet and easy to work with as Jenny. I felt so comfortable in front of the camera with her. She doesn't stage you, rather guides you so it still feels natural. My fiancé and I are solo excited to see the rest of our wedding pictures in a few weeks. Jenny was great to work with. From our first conversation, to the engagement photo shoot, to our special day, Jenny made us feel super comfortable and made sure that we looked great in our photos. Jenny was the first vendor we picked when we started planning our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made during the entire planning process. When we met her the first time it was obvious that she understood what we were looking for in a photographer. We were so comfortable working with her that we also asked for other vendor recommendations and we ended up picking a half dozen other vendors and they were all great as well. We worked with Jenny on our engagement photo, day of photos, and photo booth. My wife and I know we're not models, but she made us feel like Tom & Gisele during all the shoots. Melanie was also there during our wedding day and she's an All-star. The photo booth was also a huge hit and Amsi was awesome. The package we chose was everything we wanted and worth every penny. Make the easy choice and just go with Jenny!

Jenny and Melanie are not only fantastic photographers and professional yet down to earth people, they're so open to hearing suggestions for specific shots and then making them work in the context of the moment. So that your wedding photos are what you hoped and more! Melanie and one other photographer did our wedding photos, as Jenny had another wedding the evening of ours, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The ladies were so warm and comfortable to have around, and the photos look incredible! The colors, the framing, and the fact that that they captured so many of our guests and so many moments we weren't able to catch in person. Now the trouble is deciding which of the many great photos to frame :) We're so beyond pleased at the quality and the absolutely pleasure of having this team as our photographers! We also got their new photo booth, which was a HUGE hit with our guests and made for some seriously fun Facebook photo sharing at and after our wedding!

Wow! I don’t even know where to start. Jenny is a stellar photographer, but was also an incredible source of support during our big day. She and her team were a calming presence in what could have been a very stressful and overwhelming day. Jenny and Jordan made getting ready fun; we even had a good time during the obligatory family photos. Jenny made sure that our couples shots never felt stagey or forced. She truly understood that if we were comfortable and in-the-moment, our photos would turn out beautifully. Can't say enough great things about the Alders Photography team. I was EXTREMELY particular about choosing a photographer as not only is it something that I'll have to live with forever, I was also tired of seeing all the stereotypical photos and the bride and groom popping up on Pinterest, Facebook etc. I loved Melanie's creativeness with photos, they were never cheesy and she always made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera (which is an odd feeling initially). She was personable, funny and very calm the day of my wedding. She and her assistant Ali (perhaps I spelled that wrong, sorry!) were really sweet and kind and definitely helped take my mind off some of my anxiousness. They were really sly around the ceremony and reception and caught a lot of shots I was surprised to see. They captured nearly everything I needed and were all very professional in all correspondences. I appreciate Jenny and Melanie's attentiveness to emails and their suggestions for venues (for the wedding itself as well as the engagement shoot) Part of my photo package was a guest book and it is so beautiful. It has a leather cover (you can chose from other materials and many colors) and has our name and wedding date etched into it. It's really beautifully done. I really, really recommend Alders Photography. They are a well established, professional and all around great vendor who perfectly captured my wedding day.

We were referred to Alders by my sister-in-law and couldn't have been more pleased. We booked Melanie for our engagement session and wedding. We were SO nervous to have our pictures taken, having never been photographed professionally before. She made us feel comfortable and talked us through the entire thing. When we got our pictures back (sneak peak within a week of the shoot, the rest just a few weeks after that!!) we were amazed! We couldn't believe it was really us in the photos. The way she uses natural light just made for stunning pictures. We are having such a hard time picking out which ones to put up in the house! Planning the wedding photography with Jenny and Melanie was very easy. We met with Jenny the week before the wedding to hammer out the final details. As always, she was on top of everything which gave us great peace of mind throughout the lead up to the wedding. Not to mention that Jenny’s feedback about the day-of timeline and photos were incredibly helpful and definitely made the day run smoother. Melanie and her assistant photographer were fantastic on the day of the wedding. They worked their butts off and got the mix of details, bride and groom, family, and friend pictures we were looking for. They also did a great job of capturing but not interfering with the wedding, it was amazing to look back at the photos and think “I didn’t even know they were there when that happened!” By the end of the night, we felt like we were friends with Melanie and were so happy to have her at our wedding. Most importantly, the photos were gorgeous and went up quickly. Their online site makes it the pictures easy to share and download for FREE which was truly appreciated by our guests. Jenny was such a wonderful photographer for our wedding. From our very first meeting with Jenny, we knew we didn't want to even meet with anyone else. We felt so comfortable around her, and she is so incredibly knowledgable about her craft. You can tell that she takes great pride in her work. We are so incredibly happy with our photos - both engagement and wedding. On top of everything, she was incredibly prompt, friendly, and helped me with any questions I had about the wedding planning process.
