Jenny's Bakery

I have always loved their cakes and was so happy to have them do our wedding cake. There is nothing like their almond buttercream cake with almond buttercream frosting! My absolute favorite cake! They are beautiful cakes that taste amazing!

I have always loved Jenny's and having them make my wedding cake was no exception. It tasted delicious as always and I'm excited for my husband and I to enjoy our cake topper on our 1-year anniversary.

I decided not to go with this bakery specifically for the reason that I feel I wasn't given the time of day when I made an appointment days in advance. When I arrived, there seemed to be a lot going on, so I waited for the guy at the front to help everyone. Then he asks me what I was here for and I told him I had an appt. He told me to sit down at this table and "begin looking at the pictures to decide what you want". then he goes to the back and a lady comes up. she asks what kind of cake I like and I asked her what kinds she had (this was my first tasting appt and I didn't really know what to expect). she responds with "we have all kinds". then after an awkward pause she hesitantly begins to list them (none of this is written anywhere, mind you) and I named a few flavors that I wanted to try. she nods and goes to the back and comes back with 2 upside down cupcakes (chocolate and vanilla, none of which i said I'd like to try) on a paper plate with icing thrown on top and she says, "ok, I'll be in the back when you're ready to order". I was so confused by the whole thing that I decided I wanted to go elsewhere but couldn't even find someone to tell because they were all in some back room talking (there were about 5 or 6 people doing something other than helping me). in my exploration of the back to find someone, I noticed it was very messy (not sure if they had just had a big order or what) but the bathroom had old tickets from past orders just laying around for anyone to see! I was so shocked I just left. I was much happier with Cakes by Jula who was much more professional and took the time to ask me what I wanted instead of pointing to books and leaving. Jula even sent me home with 6 different cakes and 7 different icing flavors so my fiance could try it too (he had to work the day of my appt). That is what I call good customer service.

The cakes were delicious. The grooms cake didn't turn out exactly as we had planned it, but over all the flavor was wonderful.
