My name is Jess, or Jess Slater Photography, and I am a wedding photographer based out of Missoula, Montana. My passion is capturing the most important moments in your life and giving you photos, you will cherish year after year.
Preparing for a wedding can be a lot of work, but I can help. With my wedding knowledge and scheduling expertise, I really invest so much in each of my couples. Through all of this, my hope is to build a friendship and have fun with you! Your wedding day is filled with so many precious moments that you will cherish for the rest of your life. That is why I want to get to know you so that I can beautifully document your love story with film and digital images.
All my packages include one complimentary engagement session, a one-hour consultation to work through the details, a personalized timeline of your wedding day, unlimited high-resolution edited images, a sharable online gallery, and printing rights for personal use.

Jess is AMAZING! Can I get married again so I can have her shoot my wedding?!? She is so personal, loves what she does and take beautiful images. She also helped make our day stress free, fun and on schedule. 10/10 recommend.

Jess was our photographer for our engagement photos and wedding photos. Overall, Jess is incredibly organized, kind, and responsive. She went above and beyond by visiting our venue ahead of time to scope out the best spots for pictures and having us fill out a questionnaire prior to our big day. Jess responded to emails very quickly and showed up early on our wedding day. Not only was she great to work with, our engagement and wedding photos are stunning, she captured every detail well, and we received them less than a week later! You will not regret having Jess as your photographer! Thank you, Jess, for capturing our big day so well!

Jess is absolutely amazing! She captured our wedding day beautifully, and the pictures turned out stunning. Jess delivered our entire wedding gallery in less than a week, allowing us to relive those special moments so soon after the wedding. She was so sweet and made us feel incredibly comfortable posing in front of the camera. To any future bride, my advice would be to book Jess as your photographer—you won't regret it!

Jess is an amazing photographer! We could not have asked for better wedding and engagement photos. Her style is exactly what we wanted, and she did not disappoint. On top of that she is great just to be around. Very friendly and personable. I know photographers need to try to make you feel comfortable around them to get good photos, but she was naturally easy to be around and get along with. My bridesmaids kept telling me how awesome she was and are still telling me how amazing the wedding photos are. She was friendly and professional throughout the entire day, and she was even a really big help up until the wedding. We booked her about a year and a half before our wedding, and she stayed in contact that entire time helping whenever I had questions. She even helped me with a timeline for the wedding day because I had no idea what I was doing. If you are thinking about booking her, absolutely do it. You won't be disappointed. She goes above and beyond and that definitely shows in her pictures.

Jess went above and beyond for us! She really is the full package when it comes to an all encompassing wedding photographer. Not to mention her photos deserve to be in a magazine. They are so editorial, magical and breathtaking. She helped us with our timeline, made us feel so comfortable while taking photos and is really the sweetest human. I would recommend her to all my family and friends. If you are wanting a relaxed, stress free wedding day with stunning photos, look no further.

I highly recommend Jessica. She was incredible and easy to work with from start to finish. I appreciated meeting with her when we first got started to discuss vision, as well as, all of her communication and suggestions throughout the process. I appreciated how professional, organized, and prepared she is, and she made it easy to plan out what I wanted and needed for photos. Jessica knows weddings! We had family traveling in from around the world, and she helped make sure we captured special family pictures. Both my new husband and I were impressed with the excellent quality of the photos. The day of the wedding goes by so fast and I'm so grateful for Jessica's photos. They take me right back to the day and I can't stop smiling.

Jessica was absolutely amazing to work with!! She captured every single detail of our wedding in Hamilton, MT. She totally exceeded any expectation we had! Every single photo was stunning and that's saying a lot because we got over 850 photos! She was so efficient & creative & made every one of us feel so comfortable. I even forgot to bring one of my long veils for a photo we had talked about doing but she had brought a back up just in case. She's so professional! I can't wait to do our winter photos with her for our Christmas cards this year!! Book her before she's all booked up!!

From our engagement shoot to our wedding, Jessica was the most personable, attentive, and easy and fun to work with photographer. Both our engagement shoot album and wedding album blew us away with the quality and the quantity. Jessica knows how to capture all those little glimpses and moments that are not easily portrayed. She also helped me greatly with my day of timeline since I was my own wedding planner. She has amazing insight and listened to our wants and needs for the big day. Truly grateful to have had Jessica as our wedding photographer!

Best. Experience. Ever.
I am so thankful for Jess and so happy she captured our day. Her attention to detail, organized personality and friendly demeanor made our day stress free. She showed up early to our venue and very quickly orchestrated our first look. She took away so much stress and was able to manage the groomsman, bridesmaids and family flawlessly. Her professionalism and artistry never faltered. She captured the most gorgeous candid pictures of our ceremony and reception, and even helped us look natural while guiding us through different poses.
We will have these photos for the rest of our life and couldn’t be more happier with them.

We met Jess when she did our family photos back in 2022 that alone had us sold on her skills and personality. We were originally already booked with another photographer and when plans fell through and Jess was available ON SHORT NOTICE. We couldn’t of been more happy. Jess did our engagement photos with our bundle and she was helpful in guiding for poses. She really has a way of making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She does such a wonderful job capturing true smiles and laughter. She helped create our entire itinerary. Kept our day going smoothly. We had a large bridal party and it didn’t slow her down a bit. She was direct to keep the bridal party on track when need be. Her professionalism and down to earth personality made us feel comfortable with her. She really did make our day that much better and smoother. We couldn’t say thank you enough for such a good job she did! We would recommend her to anyone. Not to mention the suspense of waiting for your photos is not long at all her turn around for photos returned was so quick

We are so lucky to have hired Jessica for our wedding and engagement photos in summer 2023. Aside from capturing dreamy photographs that we will treasure forever, Jessica was a key-player in helping us plan and adhere to our timeline for a fun and stress-free wedding day!! I could go on and on about this wedding photographer. Jessica is so gifted. All of my friends and family keep saying how our photos look like they came out of a magazine. She was also very devoted to making sure we had the best day. I found it very helpful when planning my wedding to have her build a day of timeline. It took a lot of the stress off of me knowing I was in good hands. Not sure if I'm suppose to say this, but she also edited our pictures within the week. I've never heard of that before. SO GREAT!!!

Jessica did my elopement recently and did an incredible job. Not only did she work crazy fast, the photos she captures turned out stunning. She was so personable. She made us feel so comfortable and stress free on our day. The timeline she created was so helpful. I have worked with other photographers before, but never have I worked with someone so down to earth and genuine as Jessica. You will not regret booking her. She is amazing!
