Jesse Speelman Photography

more. Professional and fun demeanor with SO much skill.

you’re feeling, without being posed. All of my friends have used him on my recommendation, because they love him and his work so much. He was amazing to work with throughout the postponement of our wedding, and helped make the day perfect when in finally came. You won’t find a better photographer for your big day than Jesse!

ound Jesse through a close friend and I was instantly obsessed with his work for her wedding. I could go on and on about how wonderful he truly is, but I think it's important to point out some of his best qualities. Aside from his AMAZING work, Jesse is prompt in responding, organized, flexible, and super friendly. He helped in making our day flow effortlessly and captured everything I asked for AND more. My family and friends also loved him and his work and will be using him in the future to help capture their special moments. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Jesse. His photos have us in awe and we are forever grateful that we have these memories to look back on!

and never left us waiting for a reply. My family hardly ever takes photos, but Jesse was able to guide us through different poses and made everyone feel comfortable and genuinely enjoy the time spent. I chose to book Jesse because of his ability to capture sincere emotion in his photography, and part of that talent is him creating those moments for people! I am so glad that I was able to hire Jesse because he not only took our photos, but he created an experience for us that was fun and full of love. I spent most of my planning looking for the perfect photographer, and I feel certain that Jesse is the absolute best choice!

the entire thing and very positive when I reached out again to tell him the newest updated plans. He made taking photos feel very natural and all of our wedding photographs came out beautifully. My husband and I would recommend him highly!

husband and I knew within minutes of meeting with Jesse that he was the only person we'd trust to capture the moments from our day. He is genuinely kind, laid back, and really funny. Originally, my husband was anxious about being in front of a camera, but our engagement session really helped. Jesse is incredibly talented at capturing moments that look very natural--not stiff and forced, and his affable nature makes it very easy to relax in his presence. We worked with Jesse and his second photographer, Nick, on our wedding day. Our families and entire bridal party continue to rave about how great they were--highlighting how Jesse and Nick felt like old friends within minutes. When I reflect on our wedding day, I don't feel like I spent hours posing for photos. Instead, I feel like I had the opportunity to spend quality time with my loved ones--laughing, talking, and crying together--and I received beautiful photos capturing those memories. We received over 750 photos from our wedding. When my husband and I sat down to look through them together, I was speechless. The raw emotion captured in Jesse and Nick's photos are beautiful--exactly the moments that we want to hang on our walls for the rest of our lives. Finally, I'll note that our wedding plans changed significantly because of the pandemic this year. We ultimately had to change the location of our reception so it could be held outdoors. Although the venue change came with a much longer commute for Jesse, he was so flexible and told us not to worry about it. I can't begin to articulate how much his empathy and flexibility meant to us as plans changed due to circumstances outside of our control. I will forever recommend Jesse Speelman Photography to anyone looking for the best wedding photographer in Michigan. His photos are a work of art and love that you will cherish for a lifetime.

ur day and all the emotions that went along with the day perfectly. He gave us just the right amount of pictures to not make us feel overwhelmed but plenty to help us relive every aspect of the day. The editing. The natural feel. The way Jesse and nick were able to just blend in and take away the stress of the day was great. We can’t say enough good things. Our guests also commented on their relaxed manner. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

during parts of the wedding that I don't even remember them being at! Jesse's style is classic, simple, and reflective of YOUR personality. He takes breathtaking photos that will hang on your wall forever. I couldn't recommend him more!

ly a fun and enjoyable person to have around. If you are anything like me and my husband, being in front of a camera is intimidating and uncomfortable. Jesse made all of those anxious feelings go away and by the end of both our engagement session and our wedding day, it felt so natural to have Jesse snapping photos of us. Not only was Jesse an awesome contribution to the vibe of our wedding, but he got our photos back to us in ONE WEEK! That is unheard of! The photos were absolutely stunning and we will cherish them for a very long time. It felt like Jesse was seeing the wedding through my own eyes, his photos were exactly what I had hoped for! I honestly would recommend Jesse to anyone looking for a photographer and hope to have the opportunity to work with him again in the future. Thanks Jesse, you seriously rock!

cluded of our venue. His pictures captured our day perfectly and my family fell in love with him by the end of the night!

and and I and our friends and family feel at ease. He was very prepared and had great ideas and suggestions. He was honestly the best to work with and I could not be happier with the way the photos turned out. I will cherish them forever and we are so glad we chose him to capture those memories. Thanks, Jesse!

pher. He was already a good friend, but from day 1 he was so professional and really made the two of us feel so comfortable in taking this next step with each other. With neither of us being married before, we were a little intimidated in choosing a photographer for such an important occasion but Jesse was so helpful in providing detailed information and comfort in helping us discover what we wanted. We sat down with Jesse in the beginning to plan the perfect wedding package that we desired and we could not be happier. Every single photo we have seen from our special day was absolutely amazing and we are so blessed to have these photos for the rest of our lives.

that who you book will capture those moments so perfect and beautifully that you'll be able to relive that day each time you look at your photos. Jesse did just this! I found Jesse on Instagram and fell in love with all of his photos. The emotion and life he captures in his photos is just brilliant and beautiful. It was less staged photos and more fun and engaging photos. He was so much fun to work with and builds great rapport with his couples. He was a great fit for us. His passion and talent truly shows in all of his photos. He quickly posted a sneak peak of our wedding and also got all of our photos back quickly as well! We love looking through them all. It was so hard to pick which ones we want to display in our home! We would highly recommend booking Jesse for your big day as well!

at we never expected and he did an amazing job working with us. My grandmother was in an American House and was not healthy enough to come to the wedding, but he was so flexible in meeting us there before the wedding to take family pictures with her. We hadn't seen her that happy in over a year, and Jesse managed to capture all of those moments and make the unconventional backdrops beautiful and warm. We appreciated everything he did and would recommend him to anyone.

nd captured our day beautifully. He was really unobtrusive which was important to my husband and I. To top it off, I threw him a curveball and had poison ivy all up and down my arms the day of my wedding, and you can’t even tell the photos - he did a great job touching them up. He got everything to me on time which was greatly appreciated. We were so glad to have him with us!

orce poses or ask us to be anything but who we are. Our portraits were amazing, and he caught so many sweet candid moments. Jesse was very responsive to questions, and got our photos back to us in record time. He was comfortable suggesting locations for our engagement photos and was very familiar with our wedding site! Overall we had an incredible experience with Jesse, and have suggested him to our friends and family! You won’t be disappointed!

him as their photographer, my wife and I agreed that he was our first priority in regards to vendors. He is very helpful with laying out a detailed game plan for an already busy day. We got many compliments from our guests how attentive he was in helping our family while trying to arrange for our specified pictures. When the day came that we got our album from him, it was so much fun viewing them together to relive our day over again. The variety of shots that were given to us gave us a chance to really stop and appreciate some of the smaller moments we got to enjoy without being worried about a thing. I refer him to every friend and stranger looking for a photographer with full confidence in his quality and service. Thank you Jesse!

d extremely accommodating. In addition to being great photographers, they both were also just really great guys! They made our day very special!

call Jesse answered all of our questions honestly and professionally. Upon hiring Jesse he never left any of our questions unanswered and was always prompt to respond to our emails. He has an extremely calming presence and is one of those people who can make you feel as if you have known each other your whole life even after one meeting. On the day of our wedding he was there early and began capturing us getting ready right away. He was able to capture so many beautiful and natural photos and none of them look over-posed at all. We had way too much fun with him all day and he honestly is just so chill while also being extremely professional. He was willing to capture any photo that we wanted but he really came up with most of the ideas for our photos. I had multiple people approach me at the wedding to compliment on his personality and our wedding party and family absolutely adored him. His second shooter is also a great guy and my Husband and his groomsmen loved working with him as well. They both work great together and not one moment of our day was missed. I truly loved having them both so we could get multiple views of our ceremony and other events throughout the night. I could go on and on about how amazing Jesse Speelman photography is but I will leave you with this. Look not further for your photographer. PLEASE hire Jesse for your big day, you will not regret it one bit.

for my own wedding. Not only are his pictures amazing but he makes sure to capture every aspect of the day and makes you feel at ease and worry free. He took my engagement photos at an apple orchard my fiancé and I suggested. He made the hour long drive and we had such a fun time. He also met with us prior to that to go over his packages and prices. He made us feel Comfortable with our decision and we knew that we would be getting the best photographer possible. The day comes and Jesse plus his other photographer were punctual and ready to start. I think the one thing that makes Jesse better than the rest is his ability to capture candid photographs. I love all my photos but there is something so natural and effortless about the pictures when they weren’t posed. We picked out a lot of pictures to frame but my 2 favorites were candid and I truly think this is why Jesse is so amazing. I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else and these pictures will let me relive the magic of the day whenever I want! If you are trying to choose a photographer for your wedding or special event, you won’t find anyone better!

o overwhelmed by how expensive photography can be! Jesse was highly recommended by a couple people and he was phenomenal. Anytime we needed to communicate with him in the months leading up to the wedding he always patiently and immediately got back to us. On the day of the wedding we were impressed by how friendly, personal, and professional he was. I didn't realize until the wedding how much time you actually spend with your photographer-someone you don't even know! Jesse's kind personality made us feel much more at ease and made our day that much more enjoyable. We received numerous compliments from our wedding party, parents, and guests on positive interactions they had with him. We only got back some teaser photos so far, but they were incredible and I can't wait to see the rest! I was also impressed that he already sent us a sneak peek of photos the day after the wedding! 10/10 recommendation.

of been happier he did! Jesse made the whole process so easy and smooth from the time we booked him to our wedding day. He had all of our photos ready for us to see within a month. We have had so many people reach out to us after our wedding to ask who our photographer was because they loved his photos. His style was so unique and beautiful. Jesse has great photo ideas for our wedding but most importantly he wanted to make sure that we just enjoyed our day. He captured amazing candid photos and helped us to not feel posed or staged. I would highly recommend him!

otos. Jesse made everything easy, and made us laugh throughout our special day. We just got all of our wedding photos back and it's so hard to choose a favorite one because they are all SO beautiful. He came up with shots that I would've never thought of, and he truly has an eye for photography. I highly recommend him!!!

er nice guy and his work is beautiful!

ire day perfectly. We love all the candid shots he was able to get, without ever being a hassle or getting in the way. Jesse truly has a skill for classic wedding photography. We are so happy we chose to work with him!

our now favorite photos on his IG day of our wedding! He was professional, accommodating, and completely fit in with our group. It was so much fun having him apart of our big day! We couldn't be happier. I highly recommend him. Thank you, Jesse, for everything!

ids. His attention to detail and eye for what makes the perfect photo is second to none. He thinks of everything - there were so many little things I wouldn't have thought to capture or plan, but Jesse was always 20 steps ahead of us. He made the entire experience incredibly smooth, relaxed and fun. And most of all, his photos are absolutely gorgeous. If you are debating on who to book as your photographer, you do not need to look any further than Jesse. Thank you so much Jesse!

d him to anyone looking for a photographer!

ding and then all nearly 700 photos about 5 weeks after out wedding. They turned out wonderfully! They even took the time to do any photos our guests asked for (various family photos) while we were busy. Many of our favorite photos were action shots that are priceless. Overall Jesse and his assistant were phenomenal and we highly recommend him!

ously we get complimented most on our photos and photographer. 2. He managed to take these amazing photos without disrupting the flow of the day once. At other weddings I've attended I've noticed the photographer pausing the couple to pose for photos. We weren't asked to stop and force a pose once and I'm so glad about it. We were able to really live in the moment on our day. 3. He is super nice and very professional. I felt like he really cared about me and my husband and our families. There were a few moments taking photos that were difficult, and he handled everything with such professionalism. I can't recommend him enough.

challenges as well as making everyone feel at ease. I had so many friends and family members tell me how amazing and friendly he was. My husband was very apprehensive about all the picture taking, and even he felt at ease and extremely comfortable with Jesse. I was looking for a very candid type of photography and Jesse captured everything perfectly. We already ordered prints and received our album and they turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone loved all the photos and we have been recommending him to everyone. In the midst of the chaos of the day, Jesse was truly a calming presence. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed having him as our photographer!

nected with our entire bridal party! He is so so talented and amazing at what he does! It would not have been a perfect day without him!

nd. So when it was my turn to get married I knew I had to meet Jesse. He answered any questions I had and made things very easy. I’ve only seen a few pictures of the wedding and I’m super excited to see the rest but Jesse is the best!!

ork and we could not be more pleased with the results. Jesse is an unbelievably genuine guy with a passion for wedding photography. He listened to all our crazy ideas, kept us on schedule, and executed the day flawlessly. One thing we LOVED about Jesse Speelman Photography is the fact that he brings along a second shooter with him for a portion of the day! We especially loved having two photographers during our "first look" - there was so much emotion and you got to see it all from different perspectives. All of the images we received were so crisp and bright, and we really enjoyed how natural every image looked. Another great thing about our experience was that he uploaded about 40 images to Facebook less than 2 days after our wedding! It was incredible to relive parts of the wedding day while we were on our honeymoon! Then we received the full gallery and WOW! We have so many images that we LOVE, which we are so thankful for and hope to enjoy for a lifetime. I would 100% recommend Jesse as the best wedding photographer!

received compliments all night long about how he did such a good job and the proof is in the photos! He did such an amazing job capturing the love and joy or our night. He helped guide our day and made sure we had ample time to get photos in spots that we wanted. He made what could have been very overwhelming a very easy process. We also ordered our thank you cards from him which turned our beautifully. Thanks so much Jesse!

00% reccomend. You will not regret it. Through his photos you can relive your day over and over again

zed my husband and I. He was recommended to us by a friend, and at our initial consultation, we were blown away by his offerings and samples of work. I think we booked him within 7 days of meeting him! Jesse made a what could have been an overwhelming process very straight forward and simple. He provides packets of information to help you keep a handle on your wedding timeline and to ensure there are no surprises day of. On the day of our wedding, Jesse made everyone feel at ease and also professionally directed everyone so that we stayed on target with time restrictions. He kept every promise he made, and we received hundreds of high-quality photos within a month of our wedding date. One of my favorite parts of working with Jesse was his preview that he posted to Facebook and Instagram the next day. Additionally, working with the second photographer, Nick, was just as enjoyable of an experience. Both Nick and Jesse’s photos authentically captured our wedding day, and we couldn’t be happier. I will recommend Jesse to everyone I know!

to do other than marry Aaron was I had to book Jesse, and FAST! I had met him numerous times at weddings I worked as a makeup artist at, and knew he was the only photographer that could capture our special day. He was incredibly helpful from day one, answered any question I had and was another person I was elated to have with me as I married my best friend. If you have seen his beautiful photos then you know he is talented. Once you meet him you will know he is one of the kindest people you will ever meet! He works hard, and will do everything in his power (standing in the rain included) to capture your day in the most beautiful way. Jesse thank you for our beautiful photos and thank you for bringing you’re wonderful personality to our day!

ality of my closest family and friends. The photos all have a "life" to them, that brings a smile to my face when I look back at them. I also cannot thank Jesse enough for the flexibility, knowledge and professionalism that he brought to our day. I was very nervous, given the subzero temperatures and foot of snow on the ground, that we were not going to be able to get a lot of pictures, but Jesse made it work! Thanks to Jesse, I now have beautiful, snow-filled, sunset photographs that I will treasure forever. Jesse is so creative and thoughtful about the photos that he takes- no one would ever know that ours were taken in the church parking lot- it looks like a wooded winter wonderland! Since I do not have social media, I wanted to take the time to thank Jesse on the Knot for all that he did for my husband and I on our special day. If any other brides are looking for an amazing (and stress-free) photography experience, I highly recommend using Jesse!

r him but he still managed to make everything perfect for us and I give him high kudos for it. Very highly recommended.

day in July of 2017. Jesse captured every public and intimate moment of our wedding, and was the person who I spent the most time with on that day. He coordinated our first look and was my advocate, when I wanted to take a moment alone with my husband. Jesse ensured that all of the important people in my life were photographed with me, even graciously hunting down my dad when I realized I had been too rushed that morning for a picture. My husband and I were so euphoric on that day that when we look back at our wedding, we remember how we were too happy to eat. My family loves to look back at our pictures as well, commenting that, "Jesse captured our spirit." Jesse was not only our photographer but our friend; his work will forever be part of the magical first day of our lives together.

anyone looking for an amazing photographer. His work is beautiful and classic and will be something we keep forever. Thank you, Jesse for being such a big part of our day!

se, please please book him!

tographer. When we met with Jesse, we left that initial meeting knowing that we would go with him. Even better, his prices were very reasonable and the samples of his work he showed us spoke for themselves. When we did our engagement shoot, he made us feel comfortable and we had way more fun than we expected. Both our engagement and wedding pictures came back quickly and GORGEOUS. We could not be more happy with our choice and continue to order prints from his site. You will not be disappointed!!!
