Jessica Draper Calligraphy

Jessica is a fantastic calligrapher with flexibility, patience, and a creative vision – she is worth hiring! I had always wanted a gorgeous mirror seating chart, and Jessica created an exceptional design for ours, as seen in the photos. She has a great selection of rentable items that she will personalize for your own design. I first talked with her about a year before the wedding, when she sent over a clear contract with fair pricing. She then was organized and reached out to me at just the right time to set up a video call to talk through the final layout and design. We emailed back and forth, and she was exceptionally patient as I was changing little details. She completed the mirror early, which made it so much easier on us that week! She understood how busy we were and coordinated an easy pickup and return. A part of me wishes we would’ve worked with Jessica on more than just the seating chart, she has other beautiful designs and projects. Jessica does not disappoint, and I highly recommend her!

This review is well overdue! My wife and I are so lucky that we found Jessica! She was highly recommended through our venue The Haight, and after working with her we can absolutely understand why. Her knowledge of her craft, and calligraphy talent went well above our expectations! We had her create multiple pieces for us to include our welcome sign (beautifully done on a mirror), ceremony schedule (gorgeous rustic window pane), and our seating chart (stunning rustic door). Jessica was so patient with us whenever we had to rearrange our seating chart due to guests availability changing. Jessica was very communicative which was helpful given that my wife and I planned our wedding entirely apart overseas, and she was so flexible with navigating the time difference. Honestly, if you’re looking for someone to do anything related to calligraphy we highly recommend her! Thanks so much again!

I loved that Jessica sent a preview to confirm the style / it met my expectations. The drop off and pick up was quick and easy. She was prompt with responses on the timeline, estimates, and in updating the invoice when quantity changes were required (covid…). I wish I could upload photos because everyone raved about the personal coasters that were used as the escort cards that Jessica did for us. The table numbers were equally as great!

Jessica's work is absolutely stunning and she's so amazing to work with so it made it an incredible experience. She did our seating chart on a vintage 2 pane mirror and it was just gorgeous. Everyone kept commenting on it and she even changed the design to match our wedding invitations. Seriously if you're debating on having any sort of calligraphy, i cannot recommend her more!

We loved the welcome sign Jessica created for my daughter's wedding and they are going to frame it for their home. While the wedding plans changed, we still had the beautiful sign to welcome guests both in person and via Zoom!

Jessica did calligraphy on mirrors for our seating chart, signature cocktail, and welcome sign. She did an AMAZING job!! I got so many compliments from the guests!!! She was also super communicative and included me in all the decisions ex. what mirrors she was using, if the format was okay, what color to do the writing in. She was also super flexible with me making changes to the seating chart, etc. I would highly recommend her for all your calligraphy needs!!

Jessica was super awesome and helpful through out the entire process. I was a very undecided bride but she helped me understand what would work best for both my wedding vision (we did a dungeons and dragons themed wedding) and my budget. She helped me make 2 family crest banners, 2 dragon banners, and the majority of the signs and it turned out like a dream!

Jessica is VERY good at what she does. I really enjoyed working with her. She helped me with signage toward the end of my wedding planning, but what she really does was pull together the whole aesthetic of my greenery themed wedding. I will forever keep the signs she made for the card/gift table, signature drinks, and favors. She also made signs for the menu, schedule of wedding day, and seating chart. She has a lot of great equipment available to rent for a reasonable price, which was very helpful and help minimize additional costs. My favorite detail she did was print individual place cards for seating assignments on eucalyptus leaves... absolutely loved this. Thank you Jessica for being so detail oriented, creative, and professional!

Jessica addressed my wedding envelopes and I can’t tell you how much I loved them! She used navy blue ink because my invitations were navy and gold. The envelopes I got for my invitations were ivory and shimmery and we weren’t sure how the ink would turn out.... it was possible it could have smudged, but she took the time to test out the ink and sure enough they came out perfect! She was fast yet the quality was exactly what I wanted! I’d highly recommend you using her for any of your wedding needs!
