Based in Charlottesville, VA, Jessica Lapp Photography is a wedding portraiture service. Lead photographer Jessica has a bright, romantic style, evident in her detailed portfolio of portraits. She can help you to capture the authentic joy of your wedding day, down to the last personalized detail. Jessica began her pursuit of a career in photography over 9 years ago. In that time, she has captured a multitude of special events, varying in style and size. One thing remains the same throughout all of them, and that’s her commitment to her clients. She strives to make a personal connection with each couple she works with, allowing her to accurately record the joy of their big day. Jessica Lapp Photography offers a number of services as part of her wedding package. This includes an initial consultation where she can learn more about your upcoming nuptials. Jessica will also be joined by a secondary photographer for the duration of her service. Her basic package includes up to 10 hours of event coverage, with additional hours available to be added. Your images will be hosted digitally on an online gallery for you to peruse, as well as on a hard copy mailed to you after the event. You can also request prints and photo albums directly from Jessica.

If you have the opportunity to book Jess for your photos, it would be an absolute mistake not to! We hired Jess for our wedding in October 2023 and she was an absolute dream to work with. Her artistry is second to none and it was exactly what we were looking for. She managed to get amazing photos in an efficient amount of time, while also being so sooo enjoyable to have around during our special day! It didn't feel like we were taking photos all day because she knew exactly how to make the time worthwhile. Jess has such a special personality as well. While our wedding was the first day we ever met Jess in person, it felt like we were old friends and she made my husband and me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She went incredibly far above and beyond what we had hoped and expected and there were so many little special touches she brought to our day and our gallery. Looking through her photos brought back so many wonderful memories from our special day! I will caution you though, she makes it nearly impossible to narrow down which images to have printed and hung on the wall. If you book Jess, be warned that there will be too many beautiful photos to choose from! Needless to say, we love and appreciate Jess so much and will cherish these images forever <3

Jess was absolutely incredible! She did our engagement photos as well as our wedding photos and not only is her work stunning but she is so much fun to work with! She is so easy to get along with and quickly became our friend as much as our photographer. She got our photos back to us before we even got back from our honeymoon and we couldn't have asked for her to capture our day any more beautifully than she did. Will 1000% be recommending her to anyone and everyone and she will be the first person I call next time I need a photographer:)

I'm not biased when I say that Jess is the BEST wedding photographer you could choose. Her care and intentionality for her clients goes above and beyond just your wedding day! As a fellow wedding photographer, I was very particular about the type of personality I felt comfortable working with on my own wedding day and Jess could not have been the more PERFECT choice. Jess is easygoing and will immediately set you at ease whether it's on the phone, at your engagement session, or the day of your wedding. She has the most calming and steady presence about her and is insanely gifted at working quickly while maintaining an awareness of the emotions that are happening around her and being ready to capture it all. I was able to trust her implicitly when capturing the authentic emotion and feeling of our day. This is no small feet when there is the extra pressure of working for a fellow photographer and she knocked it out of the park! Jess truly made our entire experience so unique and effortless. It's been 3 months and my husband and I still talk about how wonderful Jess and her assistant were throughout our entire day. All of our other vendors agreed as well! Whatever you do, don't let the opportunity of booking with her pass you by! We love you Jess!! <3

We hired Jess for our wedding, and not only did the photos come out perfectly, but the entire experience of working with her was a breeze. She truly goes above and beyond with all the little details before, during, and after the wedding. The shots of us as a couple came out perfectly, and Jess also elevated the other photos that most people don’t focus on as much. For example, she was a pro at navigating a very long list of family photos, and the stills she shot of our wedding details really brought to life the magic of the day. Not to mention - she was so sweet and a true joy to be around all day! After the wedding, Jess turned around our gallery in record time, far exceeding my expectations. I highly recommend booking Jess for timeless, magical photos and an exceptional experience.

BOOK JESSICA!! We cannot say it enough. She has such a genuine personality, and treats you with a warm professionalism that makes you feel like you’ve just hired a wise friend to guide you on your wedding journey! She knows exactly when to take charge, and when to sit back and let the magic happen. Also she is fast!! I was amazed at the number of shots she accomplished in what seemed like just a few clicks. (My husband, who hates having photos taken, even went as far as to say he’d do more photoshoots if Jess was taking them!!) Additionally, she includes so many “bonuses” (welcome packets, suggested to-do lists and reminders, as well as an easy to access online portal AND usb copies of your photos!). We are just so impressed with her work. You will not be disappointed.

Jess is absolutely AMAZING to work with. She makes taking photos so easy and there’s zero stress when you are with her. Also, her photos are gorgeous. We could not have been more excited or honored to have Jess as our Photographer. Everyone needs some photos taken by her.

Working with Jess was AWESOME! She took our engagement and wedding photos and we have received raving reviews on all of them. She is so fun, very, very good at what she does, and really gets to know her couples. Even when our wedding day was rushed due to external factors, Jess helped keep us calm and did literally everything in her power to make sure we were happy and delivered phenomenal photos. We will definitely be going to Jess for all future sessions!
