Who wants to deal with a rude or crazy person? There will be enough stress at a wedding or event otherwise so might as well pick someone who is helpful and nice yet extremely professional. As someone who doesn't love their picture taken, I always felt comfortable, confident and relaxed with her. That alone is a minor miracle so that should really sell you on her. Jessica knows her craft and the photos came out AMAZING. There was a perfect mix of professional, candid and artistic shots that really portrayed our wedding exactly how we wanted. She would make these small but perfect suggestions on how or what to do so we got the right shot. Jessica even scouted out the surrounding areas around the venue so we could get some unique and very cool photos that we would have never thought of otherwise. Finally, she was extremely responsive in getting back to our questions. I'm sure she has heard every question we asked a million times but we always felt like we were special and got a response in a very timely manner. And there was no limit to how many photos we could take - we had Jessica for the duration of the wedding and got as many photos as she could take (which ended up being over 800). Overall, we are immensely pleased with Jessica's work and look forward to working with her again in the future, perhaps when the time comes for a baby photo shoot!

She was extremely helpful with suggestions and with the right information at the right time. On the business and contract side, everything professional and transparent. It was clear what her expectations were for us and what we could expect from her. I cannot stress enough that *every* interaction we had with Jess was positive and hassle-free. It’s important to have a good rapport with your photographer and Jess was just so enthusiastic, easy-going, and authentic that it’s hard not to love her. It made it easy to take direction from her during posed shots. Even with the larger groups, she really brought out the best in people. On our wedding day, Jess was on time and on target at all times. She was constantly there and doing her thing without ever hovering or imposing. If someone was making a weird face or was in an unflattering pose, she would make suggestions for the next shot but never said anything that was critical or that would bring the mood down. Now the important part is, of course, the pictures. I’m not a photographer myself and I don’t know that much about lenses, lighting, shutter speed, and the rest, but I do know that our pictures turned out beautifully. Her shots were artistic without being overly artsy or self-indulgent, some classic black-and-white shots, vibrant colors, and clear shots in difficult lighting. Jess has a blog where she'll post pictures from engagement sessions and weddings along with stories about how you met and details about the big day. Although we could have dashed something off, because of the way we went about it (our choice!), the process of providing her the background for those stories was honestly kind of a pain — time-consuming and even more work at an already busy time. But, making time to tell our story to each other and to her and to relive our favorite moments from the wedding turned out to be another huge positive for us. It helped us communicate with each other, reliving memories and solidify why were doing all this wedding stuff in the first place.

During the portraits after the ceremony, she was very flexible about what we wanted if we wanted to change something. She also went out of her way to make our 6 month old niece laugh for the pictures (which she did and we have the greatest pictures with her!) Jessica had our first photo posted the day after our wedding (to which my mother literally lost her breath upon seeing) and had the blog with a beautiful video slideshow up one week later! We received all of our pictures exactly 3 WEEKS LATER and they are seriously breathtaking. We did not have a videographer, but fortunately the photos very clearly tell the story of our wedding :) Also, the website Jessica uses to post the pictures is very easy to navigate. We are SO excited to eventually see our album once we go through the difficult process of picking our most favorite ones. I'll be writing another review to let you brides know how the album comes out! Seriously, you will not regret choosing Jessica. Her and her husband are an incredible team. feel comfortabel and at ease in front of the camera. She was personally involved from the beginning and was really invested in making sure our photos captured all of the most important moments. Jess' well developed systems and routines made taking portraits a breeze and we never felt like photos were taking too long, like we'd experienced being in our friends' weddings. Jess also helped us schedule photos for the day so that we could enjoy as much of our wedding as possible. Our photos are wonderful and I look at them all the time. Jess and Eric captured all of the love and happiness we were feeling that day and I am so grateful that we have the photos to look at for the rest of our lives. We just got our album over the weekend and I've already looked at it about 10 times. I just love it! My husband and I would recommend Jessica to any couple who is looking for someone to who is passionate about what they do, listens to their clients and captures all of the best moments of the big day!

snuck up on us! A few months before we were schedualled to go to the states, we kinda thought 'why don't we get married over there??' and so we started looking into how we would do it, while keeping it all a fairly secret! I was wondering how on earth I would find the right photographer to capture my special day..its such a big deal! These photos were what we would have as memories forever..!Being so far away, I was nervous.The day that we was to arrive in NYC was only a few short days from when the wedding was to be, so I wouldnt even have a chance to meet the photographer in person first! I emailed a bunch of people,which I mostly found on Craigslist. I got lots of replies, but Jess's really stood out for me. Her reply was friendly, warm, and still professional. I then went and took a closer look at her website, which definately sealed the deal for me. I was so well thought-out, very informative,and you could really see how genuine she was. You could really see how commited she is to making each couples days as special and memorable as she could. Not to mention, her portfolio of pictures were outstanding!! Have you guys checked them all out yet?! After a few emails back and forth about various things, it was like chatting to a friend overseas - it was great to have a connection with someone and put my mind at ease! The big day was a very chilly NYC kinda day, and were to meet Jess outside the venue - City Hall! From the get-go, Jess definately didn't dissapoint! She got to City Hall early,and it was so great to finally meet her! My brother and his girlfriend were along for the trip so they were our witness's, and Jess really includeded them in the days events. I told Jess I wanted an 'old hollywood/glamour' type theme for my photos, and so she had organised a list of some some cool locations to get the look- such as Grand Central Station, Times Square, 5th Ave and finished with a sunset over Central Park. We also stopped at little places on the way,just spur of the moment,which made for some great shots. She planned the whole shoot perfectly, and we didn't have to worry about a thing! By the end, we were all chatting away and liked her so much, that we invited Jess to have a hot chocolate with us at a nearby resturant! So despite the chill, it was a warm and wonderful day. When we came got back to Australia, our photo's were ready, and they were fantastic! Jess had captured so many little moments that were so sweet, and beautiful shots that were candid,yet classic. We have so many of them up on our walls now at home, it's insane! It was too hard to choose! Aaron and I would definately reccomend Jess's services to anyone in the market for a professional photographer. Thanks again Jess!

I got engaged--she was one of the first phone calls I made--to ensure she would be available! The way she uses light and focus--is what I like most. I really like those artsy ones! She is experienced in the way that she knows exactly what you're going to want to see after your special day. She was organized and made sure that my wedding photos would be the way I wanted them. Also--her assistant/husband Eric is really great--It was so fun having him on the guy's side and her on the girl's! He even helped put up the chuppah! She thought of everything and I really am so glad to have had her take my wedding photos!
