We snatched her up more than a year in advance and hiring her was the easiest and best decision we made. Honestly Jess is worth more than her rate for her quality of service, the length of time (she was 30 minutes early?!), the attention to detail, the gorgeous framing of shots we didn't know we needed, the superb editing that is somehow both timeless AND modern. I will be hiring her for all of my professional photo needs for the rest of time. And she's so cool.

ding day. I love that you can almost feel the emotions through her pictures. Like many people, my husband and I are extremely awkward in front of a camera and in front of people we don’t really know, but she met with us before booking to make sure our personalities matched. She made it about the fit and genuinely wanted to get to know us. She made sure she could make our photos everything we wanted and more! She really cares about the couple and making the experience personal and capturing all their candid moments of love and joy. After talking and booking, we did an engagement shoot. (I would also HIGHLY recommend an engagement shoot- not just because the pictures are amazing- but also because it helped us get to know Jess more and visa versa before the wedding!) For our engagement shoot, Jess literally hiked through the woods with us to find our perfect photo spot and let our insane puppy come so that we could include her in the moment. Those are still some of my favorite pictures! Throughout the engagement shoot and the wedding, she made the situation so comfortable, natural, easy, and fun. She has such an amazing, warm personality, it felt like hanging out with a good friend! Leading up to the wedding, she made sure to communicate with us every step of the way leading up to the wedding. LOL she definitely knew my vision and timeline for the day better than anyone else there. She never got annoyed by a text/email about random idea, new first look location, or a question I had regarding the wedding, even when it wasn’t directly photo-related. She made sure to get every single picture we wanted while keeping us on time so that we could really enjoy ourselves and the party! The day honestly would not have been the same without her there! She really made everything so seamless and stress-free, which is a HUGE blessing on a wedding day. She definitely went above and beyond her job description! If you want a photographer who genuinely cares about you and your relationship AND who takes amazing pictures. I would highly recommend Jessica Spoll Photography!

passionate. Someone I genuinely looked forward to getting to spend my wedding day alongside. As a professional, she is the best in the game. She truly captures the emotions behind each moment. As two people who are usually awkward in front of the camera, she instantly made us feel at ease and blended in so well we often forgot she was even there. The amazing range of sneak peeks she so speedily sent over were absolutely incredible and truly told the story of our day even better than we could’ve ever dreamed. She expertly captured our shot list but, arguably even more importantly, she was able to capture the beautiful unspoken moments of candid joy and love in between. The quality of the pictures is incredible and her editing/positioning is so perfect. She truly has such a gift and is the consummate professional. As a wedding impacted by COVID, coordinating logistics and planning (and re-planning!) was often complex and stressful, but Jess was so accommodating and made the whole process as smooth and easy as possible. Not only did Jess do an amazing job of coordinating leading up to the wedding and capturing all the amazing moments, but she took time to connect with our family members and got to know them, too. Everyone loved Jess throughout the day and were in awe of the sneak peeks she turned around. I cannot recommend Jess more enthusiastically or strongly and am forever grateful that she was there to document our day. Choosing Jess should be the easiest decision of your wedding planning and I promise it’ll also be the best one.

From our engagement shoot to our actual wedding, we were blown away by the quality of the pictures that Jess takes and the emotion we still feel 1 year after the engagement pics and 3 weeks after the wedding. We are so happy we chose Jess and will cherish these pictures of us (and the amazing pics she got of our pup) forever. I wish we could get married again just so Jess could be the photographer! Cannot recommend her enough.

on DC as our engagement photographer. My now husband had hired her to secretly capture the moment he got down on one knee on our vacation! She perfectly captured that day and our shoot and we hired her as our wedding photographer. The week of our wedding in March the entire world shut down due to COVID so we moved to October. Unfortunately Jess could not accommodate that new date. However, Jess didn’t just simply refund us and move on, she helped us find a second photographer to stand in for her and then another one to be a second shooter!!! The agreement was that she would make the final edits! The photographer we helped her pick in Jenna Raad from the Orlando area was so cute and fun and had previously done our fall photos so well. Michael that Jess had found from the Jax area did such a great job at making the day fun and capturing our beautiful moments as well. Now as Jess has all the photos and gets us our sneak peaks I am BLOWN AWAY! Between the two amazing photographers, Jenna and Michael, capturing the day Jess makes it seem as if she was there in the moment with us from afar with her warm and rustic edits! Jess has been nothing but supportive and loving through this entire unique process that had happened to us. She manages to capture our moments even from miles and miles away. I don’t recommend having her afar, I do recommend however that you make sure she can attend your event because you will be so full of joy and satisfaction! Your day will be complete with Jess Spoll and whoever she carefully chooses to assist her. Many more memories to come with Jess!! Love love love her!

ts. You’ll look back on your pictures and have a snapshot of your niece hugging her grandma, a short lived laugh with your dad, a random hug with your best friend/maid of honor. All these small moments of your wedding that are so meaningful and raw captured in a single image. These are things other photographers miss but when you hire Jess, you are lucky enough to have them captured forever! Don’t even get us started on the couple portraits, we have no idea how she made us look so good! If you’re awkward like my fiancé and I, not to worry she’ll give you prompts and somehow make you look amazing. Lastly she is just a cool person. Our whole family commented on how cool she was at our wedding! Hire Jess!! We can’t say enough good things about her!

We unfortunately were one of the couples who had to make changes to our wedding day because of COVID, but working with Jess through everything made us feel at ease and that she was in our corner. Not only did she help capture our smaller wedding and go with some of the last minutes changes but she is also joining us next year when we can celebrate with all our guests. Jess is kind and so friendly, she made us feel like we were working with an old friend. For two people who feel awkward in front of the camera, Jess was able to help us feel at ease and we now look at our photos thinking "Wow, we look really GOOD!" She has this way of telling a story through her images in a way that communicates a sense of ease, sincerity, and above all else, warmth. She snapped moments that we didn’t even think would be moments worth capturing, and yet managed to make those particular pictures some of our favorites from our wedding day. We want to take her with us everywhere we go and have her document our lives-. Jess was extremely easy to work with. I am usually a pretty shy person in front of the camera, so for her to get me to naturally come out of my shell was nothing short of amazing. Working with Jess literally made us want to get more pictures done despite having already gotten married. A few weeks before the big day she sent a sample schedule and a questionnaire for us to fill out so she had an idea of special photos we wanted, family portrait groupings, best point of contact for the day, and other wedding details. We talked on the phone a week before the wedding to finalize everything. It put my mind at ease that she was so easy to get in touch with, so organized, professional, and personable. On the big day, she showed up right on time with her second shooter and got right to work capturing all the little details. Our wedding had some last minute changes due to extreme heat, but that didn’t seem to phase her one bit. She sweated it out with us to take some gorgeous outdoor photos and made sure we didn’t look sweaty or get overheated. Most of the day was a blur of activities and excitement, but she captured it all perfectly. I got really emotional seeing our wedding gallery for the first time. She added a slideshow/video set to our first dance song, and the tears just started rolling as I watched it. I don’t know how she does it, but she absolutely captures the FEELING of the moment, and I relived it all looking at our gallery. The joy, excitement, nerves, laughter—it’s all there, and that is SO precious to us! I could not give Jess any higher praise, you should definitely book her!

It was our goal to find a photographer that would be able to capture the moments of the day in an authentic way and also guide us and instruct us on what to do to make sure we would love our photos afterward. Jess did all of this and more. When we first met her, we had breakfast and immediately clicked. If someone at the restaurant had seen us, they would have thought we had all been friends for years. She has a way of immediately putting you at ease and helping to organize photos for the day without pushing you in any direction you might not be comfortable with. On the actual day, her photo ideas were brilliant and she brought out the absolute best in not just my fiancé and I but our families and wild bridal party members as well. We laughed and had so much fun the entire day which made the actual photo process so much easier and relaxed. She sent us a sneak peek just a few days after the wedding and every single shot is GORGEOUS. Her and Mo, her second shooter, were fantastic and so easy to work with. They were everywhere but never got in the way. I had guests coming up to me all night telling me how awesome Jess was at doing her job without being intrusive. She stayed in touch after the wedding and fed me all sorts of fun sneak peak photos. She was also awesome at giving me a few more when my mom and I wanted to see a few specific shots early. We got all our photos 5 weeks after the wedding (way faster than I thought we would). I can't say enough amazing things about Jess and the work she did. She is easily worth double her price if not more. I'm so glad she agreed to come up to Philly and shoot my wedding even though it isn't an area she usually covers.

also managed my absolutely crazy family by figuring out who should be in what photo EVEN THOUGH she had never met them before. And she did amazingly beautiful getting ready photos. I don't know what to tell you except that I'm in awe of her artistic talent and what a complete steal she is. For someone who already had really high expectations to live up to from the engagement shoot, Jess hit every single expectation we had and more! We chose a crazy artistic venue with a courtyard, garage, townhome, and gallery - but Jess managed to find all the best lighting while also managing to keep us away from guests during our first-look photos. She has just such an eye for style it's CRAZY! And she captured all the small details perfectly. There's really no choice here - if you want someone who captures the real moments and gives you photos that let you remember what your wedding FELT LIKE - not what it looks like on a postcard, but the real gosh-darn emotion, then you need to book Jess. You 100% will be so happy you did - because the person behind the lens is also a gem. <3
