Hawai‘i has been woven into my story for nearly two decades — long before I ever photographed a wedding here. My husband and I were married on O‘ahu while he was stationed at Marine Corps Base Kāneʻohe Bay (K-Bay), and the islands have shaped our life ever since. A few years later, the Army brought us back to Schofield Barracks, where we fell in love with the North Shore in a whole new season of life. Our youngest was even born here — so Hawai‘i isn’t just a destination to me, it’s part of our family’s foundation. For over a decade, I’ve had the honor of photographing hundreds of weddings — the kind filled with teary-eyed loved ones, full dance floors, quiet first touches, and all the beautifully imperfect in-between moments that make a wedding day feel real. I split my time between Hawai‘i and Missouri, serving couples in both places — and wherever their story leads — as my children finish school and our ʻohana prepares to call the islands home once again.
