Jinny was especially good at explaining the rituals to my son-in-law's family privately before the ceremony and then to the entire gathering, which included many non-Jews, at the wedding. Jinny made sure that my son-in-law's family understood what was going on and felt included in the ceremony. Everyone raved about her afterward.

ern Virginia, and were looking for someone to lead us in relationship-building exercises in the run-up to the wedding--and who would also allow us some flexibility and personal touches while still having a Jewish wedding ceremony. Jin was the perfect fit and did a beautiful job not only planning and officiating the ceremony, but also helping us to reflect on and discuss our relationship before the wedding day, even though we live out of town and had our discussions over FaceTime. These chats were very useful to us as a couple and also helped us build a relationship with Jin before the wedding day, which really showed during the ceremony. She's officiated a lot of weddings before and provided us with a great structure and perspective on what the ceremony should include, and how it should flow, while also letting us make some tweaks to personalize. Jin has a fun and engaging style that made the ceremony feel special and unique to us and feel comfortable being ourselves on the day of (and in our relationship discussions, too, that helped us get the most of our experience with her). She is incredibly warm, easy to talk to and work with, and did such a lovely job! Would highly recommend her to other couples.

Cantor Jin was very willing to customize our ceremony to make it special and intended for us as a couple; we were able to include traditions we favored and leave out ones that weren't as important to us. She also incorporated things we told her about our families and parents into the ceremony, which made it very special. In the end, Cantor Jin performed a beautiful ceremony that was relatively quick (our request!), meaningful, lighthearted, and full of love. We were so happy to be married by her, and our families and guests truly enjoyed the ceremony as well!

The rabbis wanted to do a Jewish wedding or required premarital counseling, the non-Jewish ones either didn't know the traditions well or, in one case, had never even been to a Jewish wedding. As soon as my husband found Jinny, we knew she was the right one for the job. She gave us a ton of ceremony options but didn't push anything on us. The only thing I would have done differently was have her at the rehearsal, since we weren't ready for a few technical aspects. But somehow that made the ceremony even better and set exactly the right lighthearted tone we wanted for the wedding. Basically, we couldn't have found a better officiant.
