Jill's photography speaks for itself. We admired Jill’s work for awhile before we started planning our wedding – there is something about it that really captures the feeling behind the images. We were so excited that she was available for our wedding and booked her without hesitation. What you can’t necessarily see in the photos is how great Jill is to work with. She made us feel very comfortable being photographed and has a very calming energy. You can just feel that she knows what she’s doing. She’s comfortable and authoritative directing people (family members, friends) to ensure portraits go smoothly – we were so glad the process of post-ceremony large photos went quickly so we could all get got cocktail hour. The preview photos we received soon after the event were so beautiful and already allowed us to relive parts of the best day of our lives. We’re so grateful that she shared her talents with us and helped capture so many lifelong memories.

I had the benefit of meeting Jill through my MOH, who is also a wedding photographer, but even if I hadn't had a personal connection to her I still would have hired her for my wedding. She is such a wonderful person, and her photos are incredible. She shot both our engagement and wedding photos, and does such an amazing job capturing people as they are - not stylized, not fake - real. She captures the little moments that actually matter, the ones you will cherish forever because they show how you really looked on that day, what you actually did, and how you actually felt. Just amazing. I could go on and on, HIRE JILL YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!

When beginning to plan our wedding, one of the most important things for us was finding the right photographer. We thought, forget portraits we want one who is good at getting candids. After a long somewhat ‘stalkeresque’ search, we found Jill. We instantly fell in love. So when what once was supposed to be a big banger of a party turned into a small family only celebration, there was no question about keeping Jill on board, and man are we grateful. She took a day that had some bittersweet history and found the joy, laughter, silliness and heartfelt moments. She froze them in time for us, and did so with grace and ease. I look back at all of her photos and feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the people in them, the memories made, and the woman who captured them all. Jill is simply the best.

We highly, HIGHLY recommend Jill DeVries for any engagement, wedding or otherwise. Especially during these difficult times, Jill was exactly what we needed. She was incredibly flexible and understanding as almost every aspect of our wedding had to change. One of the few pieces in our planning that remained constant was Jill, along with her support, her encouragement, and her unending kindness as we figured out all the new details. Jill is not only the epitome of professional, but she is also so down-to-earth that she made us and our family feel instantly comfortable. Her extensive experience was apparent as she politely directed and helped navigate all the different photos with our immediate families. Everyone was commenting on how awesome and easy it was to work with her. And all this was before we even saw the preview pictures! Wow. They are already beyond what we could have imagined. Jill captured so much joy, love, and beautiful little moments. We can’t stop looking at them. We would be happy with the preview pictures alone and can’t wait to see the rest!

I cannot stress enough how incredible and how talented Jill is! Jill was our first-round-pick photographer, and having her be the one to capture our wedding was one of the best, if not THE best, decision we made. Jill is SO wonderfully talented in a million different ways. She is incredibly professional and so top of her stuff. I never had to worry about our schedule, getting the shots we needed, or family photos taking too long because she was so on top of everything and kept us on pace while still allowing us to be spontaneous and enjoy ourselves. Jill is always looking out for your best interest- literally stopping mid-photos to reapply my lipstick! Her exact words were, “You’ll be happier having a fresh coat” – and THANK GOODNESS, because she was right! Jill is the exact type of person you want photographing your wedding- a seasoned professional who knows her stuff, while also feeling like she is your best friend who keeps you calm and focused on what’s really important. Having her around some of the most intimate moments of my life felt so easy and natural. But the best part of Jill is her ability to spot and capture organic moments as they happen. She truly captures the raw and real moments in time- your grandpa holding your grandma’s hand, the look on you and your groom’s faces the moment exit the wedding ceremony and you’re officially husband and wife, laughter during the best man’s speech- photos that, upon looking at them, bring you RIGHT BACK to those moments in time. Everyone always says, ‘I wish I could relive that day- it goes by so fast’ – with Jill as your photographer, you CAN relive the day through her photos. She is so talented at capturing you exactly how you are- while also bringing out the very best in you. The way she frames her shots, plays with light, and captures detail is just stunning- she truly is an artist and a master of her craft! I am so unbelievably grateful to Jill for everything - she gave us photos that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. I would pick her again and again and again if I could.

I cannot recommend Jill Devries enough for a wedding photographer for our wedding - we have received so many compliments from family and friends, telling us that they cannot believe how perfectly she was able to capture candid moments throughout the wedding. We had received a list of recommended vendors for photographers, and had spent hours looking through everyone's portfolio's. However, Jill's work stood out to us because she's able to make her way around the ceremony and reception to photograph moments and make you feel like you're still there. The colors are rich, and I am not sure how she manages to create beautiful compositions for all of the hundreds of photographs she takes throughout the wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Jill. If you are looking for a thoughtful, punctual, professional, INCREDIBLE photographer - Jill should be your choice.

Jill DeVries is so incredibly talented. In addition to her mesmerizing work, she is also the exact person you want taking your wedding pictures! She is supportive, calm, encouraging, and has the perfect eye to capture each moment of the day. I love Jill's work so much that my husband and I picked our wedding date based on her availability. Jill is amazing!! From the early planning process to the day of the wedding we felt so comfortable with her, as if we had known for her for years. She not only captured all of the emotions of the day in such a beautiful way (and I’ve only seen the sneak peek), she gave us so much more than that. She laughed with us, was a calming presence when things didn’t go quite to plan (like rain all day), and was an essential part to making our day run smoothly. We would recommend Jill to anyone. We LOVED working with her and can’t wait to see the rest of the pictures!!

She was super professional throughout the entire process and extremely reliable. Patient, creative, totally captured all the moments, and I can’t wait to see the final products. The sneak peaks are amazing.

Jill is absolutely wonderful. She was so great to work with and her photos of our wedding are stunning. If you have seen any of her pictures you know it - she is so talented. She captured the whole day so thoroughly and caught details that tell the complete story of the day. She also was so helpful at suggesting places for group photos and keeping the wedding party organized. I loved that she kept posting previews of the pictures on social media prior to having our entire day done so that we could have little reminders of that day was we waited. She was very punctual with having the edited photos done (I was so surprised at how fast we got them!) and has been so professional through the whole process.

When we met Jill and looked at her work, it became clear to us that she was the best woman for the job of photographing our wedding. Jill has a knack for capturing intimate, special moments in a an ineffable way; the way she plays with light, how she notices the smallest detail that you thought only you did, a look you share with your spouse that you didn't realize she was there for. She is also accommodating while offering helpful suggestions if you want them, and her presence will encourage you to be your best, most natural selves on your wedding day. Our friends regularly comment on how lovely our photos are, and we couldn't agree more. We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to work with Jill, not only for her artistic talent, but also because she is a beautiful, generous, and incredible woman we still call our friend. Hiring Jill is a decision you will never regret. When it's all said and done, the thing you will most treasure after the wedding will be your photos; our's are absolutely breathtaking.

Jill has an amazing gift and talent for capturing the most precious memories. The prideful look your brother gives you as he's walking you down the isle, the goofy look on your new husband's face during the funny part of the toasts, the timeless love between bride and groom, a loving encounter of the groom laughing with his grandma before the ceremony. Moments that you didn't even realize where happening... but that Jill had the talent and vision to capture so you can cherish it the rest of your life. Words cannot describe how grateful I am that she was one of the recommended photographers from our venue and that we found her. I love her photography style and the candid photos that look amazing. She had so many great recommendations and was very responses to all of our questions along the way (many of which in the couple weeks before the wedding). I can't say enough good things about Jill. She is obviously incredibly talented, cool, thoughtful, and nice. But what you can't see on her Instagram is that Jill is the anchor and calm force on the busiest, most wonderful, and hectic day of your life. Jill is never far away, she keeps your videographers in check, she helps you through confusing moments, and she indulged all of your silly photos. Jill is the best. Words cannot express how happy and grateful my partner and I were to have Jill and her assistant Drew with us on our special day. First of all, they are just wonderful people. From the very beginning their genuine demeanor and kindness made us both feel at ease. My partner, Pete, is not thrilled about getting his picture taken but when it came time to do the first look, it was so easy and comfortable! Even fun! They added to our day in countless ways, I could go on and on!! Then we received the previews of our photos.....WOW!! The images they both captured were incredible! If you want to be surrounded by beautiful, fun energy on your wedding day and then have amazing photos to look back on for years and years, HIRE JILL! Best decision we made!

Jill is INCREDIBLE! She is an all-around wonderful photographer, artist, and human! She took the most beautiful engagement and wedding photos of us a few years ago that people are still commenting on today. We also asked her to do a family photo shoot recently, and that session yielded some of our favorite photos of our son to date. Jill also recently shot the wedding of one of my friends and her work was brilliant! Jill brings out the best in you while remaining true to her amazing style. Her aesthetic is fresh, vibrant, and modern! Do yourself a favor and HIRE HER!

Hire Jill! She is amazing. We hired her for our engagement photos and wedding photos. We loved how natural our engagement session felt- we both commented that it just felt like we were hanging out and not even getting our pictures taken. On our wedding day, we didn't see Jill too much outside of our first look session and family photos, but our guests would not stop talking about how awesome she was. We wanted her to capture everything candidly- so it was great that we weren't asked to pose for everything. Everyone told us how nice she was, and how she was all over capturing the best moments. We can't wait to see our pics from our day!

Jill was absolutely incredible. Her pictures were gorgeous and perfectly captured the essence of our day. Looking at the pictures, we feel like we are there again. We didn't do a first look, so we needed to do all of the formal pictures during cocktail hour. She made the process relaxed and quick so we could enjoy the day.
