hough I was not, Jill absolutely was. I forgot so many things for the detail shots, but she either came prepared or worked magic to make up for it. She was so helpful, and so many of my family members that helped decorate came to me to say they loved her. She also had the timing down perfectly. I never felt rushed and never felt like things were taking too long; she worked very well with my wedding day coordinator. Not only was she great to work with, she did some amazing work. The cherry trees were not in full bloom for my outdoor wedding, but you wouldn't have known that based on her pictures. They looked beautiful and full. She did a great job of capturing my ring bearer and flower girl who were uncooperative 4 and 3 year olds. She perfectly captured the light and romantic feel of my morning wedding! There were a lot of things I didn’t realize I would want though, that Jill delivered on: funny and helpful coaching on how to pose for the classic bride and groom portraits everyone loves, a willingness to offer suggestions on everything from makeup artist to first dance timing, and a picture-packed blog post we got to see less than a week after our wedding day. Jill navigated every moment of my wedding day flawlessly even though we had an unusual timeline due to our church’s ceremony schedule. She got all the pictures we asked for after the ceremony (and then some), including every single family member in attendance. My bridesmaids, parents, husband, and I were all thrilled with how gorgeous the pictures turned out, and that they looked exactly how we remembered the day rather than being over-photoshopped. The best part? We got 1200 edited pictures less than two weeks after our wedding. We loved working with Jill and will definitely look for opportunities to work with her again!

We asked her to travel to the mountains for our engagement pictures, and she did not complain once. She took (all) the hiking and moving around in stride and loved on our wild, energetic dog. ning an Atlanta wedding. One of my friends had used Jill for her wedding and I knew I loved her photos - and, after a quick skype date with Jill - we were on board with JDP! Hiring Jill was certainly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. She not only produces great photographs, she is able to develop a relationship with her clients that carries beyond just the wedding day. Jill's personality and style makes even the most camera shy couple feel comfortable! While we didn't officially meet Jill in person until our engagement shoot , she was always incredibly responsive through email, phone, etc. When I asked her if we could do smoke bombs for the engagement shoot - she didn't even blink twice! We loved how focused she was on doing what we wanted! As luck would have it, we ended up having to reschedule our entire wedding just one week before the original wedding date after I had an unexpected medical emergency. Not only was Jill incredibly flexible and understanding of the situation - she truly cared about how we were doing, even sending the most incredible care package to us in Chicago! Jill has always felt more like a friend than a vendor, and this was just another example of that! Flash forward to our wedding day and Jill was fantastic! She captured every imagine I wanted from all different angles. I have been in weddings before where the photos have taken way too long - and I loved how Jill knew exactly what we wanted and was able to pull it all off in an efficient and organized way! We absolutely LOVE our photos and look forward to having them for years and years to come. If you are looking for somewhere to start with the wedding planning process - start with JDP! t she had only 1 weekend available in Oct'17 so I planned my whole wedding around her availability. She did our engagement session in New York and we LOVED it. On the wedding day, Jill puts on various different hats. She was a pro furniture mover when it came to setting up the room for that perfect shot. She also helped me with my makeup and veil and helped my mom put the corsage on. She felt like part of the family. Jill makes you feel instantly comfortable and tells you exactly what to do when she is taking portraits which helps immensely. Our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without Jill. I look forward to her capturing more future important moments of our lives.

Jill traveled across the country to California to do our engagement shoot, after only talking on the phone and emailing with me. It was a leap of faith for both of us, but I’m so glad we did it! Our pictures turned out beautiful and Jill was completely willing to explore to find the locations for the best shots. We found our way into a private yacht club and then climbed on rocks on the beach…all with our two dogs too!! The experience could not have gone better. Our engagement and wedding pictures are gorgeous and Jill puts in the extra effort to ensure they are. Throughout the wedding process you work with many different vendors and some, you don’t even meet until the wedding day. I personally was very nervous about a few of my vendors because their response time was slow and they never fully answered all my questions. I *never* felt this way about Jill. It was such a relief knowing I was in great hands. For me, my photos were one of the most important pieces of the wedding, and I it was great knowing I did not have to stress about it. We did an engagement photo shoot with her at Piedmont Park (with our dog, of course!) and on Jackson Street bridge. She was VERY accommodating to rush over to the bridge and go a little over our time limit. She made pretty detailed edits (i.e., switching a face from one photo onto another so BOTH my husband and I looked good in the photo we sent out for our Save the Date!) and a couple of revisions. My husband is proficient in photoshop and is an artist, so he knows when he sees good work, and Jill came through! On the day of the wedding, Jill and her assistant were focused and professional! As always, the photos were gorgeous. And she must have worked some kind of magic, because I looked FABULOUS in every photo! Happy Bride right here!! She even coordinated with my friend to get my dog there for a few minutes for pictures. Happy fur-mom :-) Jill caught all of the special moments and details of our day. We also gave them a specific list for family and friend photos and they hit every single one (and more)! We received a link for the photos that were placed in our photo gallery within THREE WEEKS!! They were beautiful! There was one or two things missing that I would have liked (e.g.,"I DO" jeweled stick-ons on the bottom of the shoes) and when I asked if she got a picture of those, she immediately apologized for missing them and offered to come meet me to take the photos again! I didn't take her up on the offer, but I thought that was so professional that she offered. All in all, we loved working with Jill and her assistant. They kept us smiling (naturally!) and laughing the whole time. We'd happily recommend Jill to everyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Jill exhibits an elusive combination of professional, creative, personable, and meticulous. I have never met a person so perfectly suited for her profession. Our portraits are elegant, our details look exquisite, and our candids captured the fun and love-filled event seemingly without missing a thing. And it never once felt intrusive or staged. If you can't tell by this and the hundreds of other reviews, you need to hire Jill. She is the best! P.S. - I got all 1,159 skillfully edited photos less than 2 weeks after the big day!
