With so many locations for shoots in Chicago, Jill helped us talk through options, and provided examples and ideas that really helped us game plan for our big days. She made sure she was informed on our preferences, and that expectations are clear for all parties. During the shots themselves, Jill took the lead and helped instruct throughout, which was extremely helpful for two non-photogenic individuals. I loved seeing Jill’s creativity shine through when after grabbing some initial photos, she’d jump in with an idea or a new angle or shot she wanted to try…those were some of the most unique! On our wedding day, it was well over 100 degrees and Jill never complained once or deviated from making sure we were comfortable with the game plan, throwing in other options for locations and timing in case we felt we could no longer take the heat, and even made an on the fly suggestion for an alternative location when our planned one was unexpectedly closed that day—because she knew the look/scenery we were going for, we ended up with amazing shots that are now some of our favorite. Jill’s style (photo-journalistic/romantic/candid/timeless), coupled with her technical photography skills, are reasons we decided on Jill and her team, and we could not be happier with the results. We of course captured some of the formal family shots as expected, but our favorite pictures are the ones capturing the raw emotions of the day…each time we look through them, we laugh and cry all over again because you really can look at them remembering and feeling the exact moments…and to us, that is the BEST AND MOST MEANINGFUL thing you can hope for in photographs (I wish I could put that last sentence in BOLD). As if all prior traits weren’t painting an amazing enough picture, throw in the fact that Jill is very people oriented, always dressed with a huge smile on her face…you can’t help but want to be in her presence! Jill for almost a full year on Engagement, Boudoir and Wedding photography. Each step of the way was better than the last. Her style is photo-journalistic, timeless & romantic, which she completely nails. I expressed to her that I LOVE candid shots, and while portraits and fam photos are important (and honestly some of my favorite of the day), what I was really looking forward to are candid shots of my husband and I, our friends, and our families - and BOY did she deliver. o our wedding. Prior to the day, Jill helped a ton in giving suggestions on wedding timeline, wedding photo venues and answered all ad hoc questions we had. On the day, Jill and team were amazing and made us feel very comfortable and guide us through the nervousness. Jill made sure that we had a very special first look and was able to capture the moment perfectly so we can enjoy it forever through her photography. After the first look, we took photos in front of the board of trade and at the planetarium...Jill knew all of the spots for the best photos! ult in a wedding is only half the battle. The process of finding vendors and working with them can sometimes me daunting. Jill was nothing short of amazing -- professional, organized and tons of fun. She was the perfect balance of structured and 'go with the flow'. My parents and I cried when we saw all the special moments she captured (many of which we didn't know about until we received the proofs). As soon as I met Jill I knew she'd be a great addition to our wedding party, and that's honestly how I felt about her. She clicked with my bridesmaids, calmed nerves, and joined in on the dance party! Even the groomsmen commented that they had FUN taking pictures. Jill was assertive when she needed to be (there were over 25 people in the bridal party!) but always with a smile on her face. If you had asked me on my wedding night to rate Jill, I would have said a 5 out of 5. After receiving my FULL gallery (think 800+ photos) less than two weeks after my wedding, I'd give her a 10 of 5. In addition to great portraits, Jill captured the essence of our wedding- the laughing, the tears, and all the little details. She surpassed my wildest expectations and I continue to admire the photos (daily!). As the ultimate testament, after working with Jill and then seeing my photos, a bridesmaid contacted her the day my photos were released to book Jill for her upcoming wedding! I HIGHLY recommend Jill to any couple that wants photos to admire for a lifetime!

nt person at her wedding…and that proved undeniably true! The photos we have from 7/17 are truly - breathtaking. Jill captured every moment, every detail, and every aspect of Molly & Brian’s wedding better than we could have ever hoped. Early in the day I watched as she relieved stresses and actually relaxed us. She adeptly managed the large wedding party, chose stunning backdrops, and navigated the reception to catch every special moment (no small task - large reception and at Salvage One, a tricky space!). She anticipates good photos and commands ONLY that camera…taking care to keep her subjects completely at ease. She never interrupted “the moment” for a photo…she either documented it as it unfolded or helped create it for us. She surprised us all with the speedy delivery of the sneak peeks, followed within the week by the rest of her shots. I happened to be in class at the Apple store when her email came and I couldn’t help but click the link. The first photo had me spontaneously in tears and it only got worse! In the end, thanks to my “teacher,” a crowd had gathered to see “what was up with this lady” (!) and even complete strangers agreed that every single photo was a work of art. Jill has a keen eye, a wonderful demeanor, and photographic intuition – a truly invaluable combination – and she is just who you want to document your special moments. She has given us the gift of priceless mementos and I struggle to find the words to say adequate thanks to her...so I want to share how TOTALLY THRILLED we are!!!
