She did confirm that everything was good and then I received an email on 7/12, apologizing for never responding to one of my emails from March and telling me she had to cancel on me for a family event and refunded my deposit. She also said she would send over recommendations for other artists I could contact. I replied an hour later asking for the recommendations, since I now have to scramble and find someone 4 months before my wedding. I still have not heard back from her. I can’t really comment on her ability with makeup but I would recommend maybe having a backup in mind if you choose to book with her, and make sure you stay on top of communication.

r multiple voicemails and sent her numerous emails. The lack of communication was absurd, and not what a bride needs only a couple months before her day. When I finally did get in contact with her, she didn't apologize, only said that her schedule is busy with her being in school, which is understandable, but you can at least send a simple email response saying you will get back to someone in a few days. I ended up going with a different makeup artist at the last minute as I did not trust Jillian to show up the morning of my wedding. I did not get my deposit back.

Jillian did my wedding day makeup, as well as the rest of my wedding party, and was extremely efficient while doing an A+ job on everybody. On one occasion it took so long that I had to reach out a second time to finally receive a response back, and by that point it was already passed the date I had suggested in the first place. Ultimately, we ended up doing my makeup trial on a date that worked best for her, a Tuesday night at 5pm. It was a huge bummer considering I didn't get the chance to see how the makeup would hold up throughout the day. Don't get me wrong, Jillian was very sweet during my makeup trial. She even told me that if there was anything I would like to change for the big day to just shoot her a message. I ended up messaging her regarding my changes: my eyeshadow and false eyelashes. The eyeshadow inspiration I showed her happened to be a screenshot of a bride she worked on in the past. It was a translucent gold and shimmery look. My eyeshadow turned out orange and was paired with a plum lip. Not exactly what I had in mind for the big day. Of course, she never responded to my message for weeks. At that point I was beyond frustrated with the communication and took it upon my self to find a new artist last minute before the wedding. As soon as I booked a new artist I reached out to her to let her know. No response to this day.

actly what I was hoping for. I’m bad at communicating what style/look I’m going for, but Jillian was able to figure out exactly what I was looking for and made me feel so beautiful!! On the morning of the wedding, she and her assistant arrived right on time and were all set up by the time we even got to the bridal suite. My bridesmaids and mom all looked gorgeous and loved their makeup too. Seriously can’t say enough great things about her, I’m so happy with how everything turned out!!

the wedding. Given our large bridal party size, Jillian brought an assistant at no additional charge, which was very convenient and much appreciated. I originally contacted Jillian via email because I was very impressed with her work and her affordable rates. I truly could not have gotten better quality, and her rates are highly affordable compared to all other makeup artists I found. Jillian quickly replied to my inquiry and I booked her eight months before the wedding. The only downside I experienced with Jillian was a lack of communication for a period of time after I booked her for the wedding. She rescheduled my trial twice with me (once because she had booked a wedding on my trial date and had not informed me, and once because of weather, which was completely understandable). I contacted her about my concerns over the communication, and she responded very kindly. She is a true professional and I did not have the communication issues again. The week of the wedding, she emailed me a detailed timeline for the makeup applications for the day of, and asked if it fit my schedule. She also gave me my final balance and the breakdown of that balance between her and her assistant. The day of the wedding went very smoothly! Jillian and Pa Da showed up early to set up. They were extremely accommodating to our makeup requests and Jillian did check with me to ask if I had makeup restrictions for the bridesmaids, which I didn't. My bridal attendant ended up asking for the exact same makeup as one of my bridesmaids, and Pa Da was able to deliver the perfect look for her. Jillian did my makeup, and it was impeccable. The airbrush did not flake or cake on my dry skin, and my mascara and eyeliner stayed put all throughout the evening! She also gave me a little sample lipstick of my color so I could re-apply throughout the evening, which I did right before the ceremony. I am so thankful for Jillian and could not be more impressed! I would recommend her to anybody.

The day of the wedding she was ready to go before we even got there and was flexible when some of the wedding party showed up late. We were still able to finish on time. Everyone's makeup lasted through the day and night, including a pretty enthusiastic dance floor. Even my dark lipstick remained stuck through dinner. Nevertheless, Jillian was kind enough to give me some extra lipstick in case any smudged. I know Jillian could create the wedding look of anyone's dream and would 100% recommend her.

p by step to make sure I liked everything. I had a done a trial with another makeup artist before I met Jillian, and had bad experiences with airbrush and false eyelashes. Jillian executed them perfectly though! She is super talented and also really fun to have around! I would use her again in a heartbeat!
