Jim Falbo is an accomplished and eclectic Twin Cities based guitarist with over 20 years of experience in his craft and played in hundreds of weddings. Jim's music has been featured on 99.5 Classical MPR and 88.5 FM. Jim is the winner of the 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and 2015 Weddingwire.com Couples' Choice Awards for ceremony musician, as well as the 2018, and 2017 Best of Bash.com (formerly Gigmasters) awards . He enjoys playing in ceremonies, cocktail hours, corporate events, and reception dinners throughout the Twin Cities as well as various concert halls among other venues. Jim's repertoire is eclectic, mixing popular classical/romantic pieces with contemporary, and pop classics on solo classical and acoustic fingerstyle guitar

We listened and considered many guitarists for our reception. It was for cocktail reception and dinner ..small wedding. We selected Jim after listening to his playlist and noted that he includes many Spanish and latin songs which was important to us. Jim is very professional and easy to work with. He was the perfect choice for our event and added to much to the entire ambiance. Many guests commented on how they enjoyed his music. Highly recommend Jim Falbo for your event.

We are so happy that we had Jim play at our wedding! He came as a recommendation from our officiant (Tom Armstrong) who has performed other weddings with him and we are so thankful for it! Jim was very professional, kind, and responsive to emails. With his array of music choices we could pick songs to fit exactly what we had envisioned for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Everything went so smoothly and he handled the timing of the processional songs beautifully. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

We could not have asked for a better musician for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour than Jim! Not only is he incredibly talented, but he's overall a genuinely kind and professional person. Jim was also very flexible while we navigated postponing our wedding due throughout COVID. Don't hesitate to book him!

Jim did a wonderful job and all of our guests were raving about him and how well he did playing for our ceremony. He was also very accommodating and kind! I decided super last minute that I really wanted live music at our wedding, and he was willing take it on last minute even with his weekend already booked. Highly recommend booking him for your wedding!

Jim is the best! He recently played for our daughter's backyard wedding, and we loved his performance. He had played a couple years ago at our other daughter's wedding, and we chose him again. He has all his guitar songs memorized, so he is able to play outside without worrying about the wind blowing sheet music. He excels at communicating with his prompt and thorough emails. And he comes early to the wedding to discuss when to begin playing and how the processional will go. We highly recommend Jim as a wedding guitarist!

Jim played beautiful music before, during and after our ceremony. the music was lovely and just what we were hoping for. Jim was very friendly and very nice to work with. I definitely recommend!

Jim was a great addition to our special day. He learned a song for us (he will learn one free of charge for any couple!) and made it sound beautiful. All of his timing was perfect, and all of our guests loved that we used him for the ceremony.

I am a retired clergy who had the joy of officiating at my son's wedding. Jim provided the music and was pitch perfect with the music he shared, but also his in tuneness with the liturgy and flow of the service. When the weather became a bit sketchy, he stayed flexible and we pulled off an outdoor wedding with a good five minutes to spare before the rain came. I highly recommend Jim for your wedding.

Jim was great! Super easy to work with. Willing to personalize the music but also easy if you want him to just recommend songs. Doesn't require a ton of prep time which is helpful when wedding planning. Music sounded beautiful! Also willing to bring a microphone for the officiant for free.

It was wonderful working with Jim. His style of working is casual and easy, and at our wedding, he was professional and organized. He is a very talented musician whose style was a perfect compliment to our ceremony and cocktail hour!

Jim's music was absolutely perfect for our cocktail hour. It completely set the mood. He played a wide variety of music and played flawlessly. I heard rave reviews from my guests as well. We had originally planned on having our event outdoors but rain forced us inside. I was a bit worried that the music might be a bit overpowering indoors, but it was exactly the right loudness and filled the space beautifully. I highly recommend Jim!

We hired Jim to play for our outdoor summer wedding in St Paul. He was wonderful to work with - very professional, timely with all of his correspondence, and very helpful with suggestions. He was also very accommodating with our own requests for music not on his repertoire list. His music at our ceremony was also lovely- it was a very memorable experience, and we are still getting complements on his music from our friends and family. If we had to do this over, we would choose him again.

Jim was absolutely incredible to work with during the entire process of getting our wedding music prepared. He met with us on a few occasions to make recommendations and he provided us with samples to help us select the best music for our ceremony. We also selected the option to have Jim play one selection not usually in his repertoire. We selected music written by a friend of ours who would not be attending the wedding. Jim did an amazing job with the song. Our guests raved about how great the music was and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding musician.
