Jim Francek - Ceremonies Without Boundaries

This past Summer I had the honor of being married by an exceptional person, Rev. Jim Francek. Rev. Francek took the time to capture the essence and meaning of our love and infuse it into our ceremony. The experience was spiritually moving and thought evoking. He truly has many gifts among which is his beautiful voice in word and song, his connection to the earth, his care for the virtues of marriage, and his process by which he becomes your friend. On a day which represented our future, when all our loved ones witnessed our commitment it was nothing short of MAGIC because of Rev. Jim Francek.

Jim Francek is who you want in your corner when you're taking that walk down the isle. He really takes the time to get to know you as a couple. He listens and respects your options and concerns. He is committed to making the ceremony about the two people joining their lives, regardless how different they seem to be- opposites often times attract!! Our ceremony, which was in a beautiful reception hall and not a church, still felt very spiritual. He brought together traditions from my catholic upbringing and some protestant and some old celtic traditions that really appealed to my groom. It was a perfect blend of us and our families expectations. We were not in a place of worship, but it was obvious that God was present- it was commented on by many of our guests from different faiths. Everyone enjoyed the ceremony and felt comfortable sharing it with us. In the months leading up to the wedding, we met with Jim via Skype because we lived in different states. We laughed, we learned, my groom and I discovered things we had no idea we didn't know about each other! Jim was there to walk us through the process. On our wedding day, at the end of the ceremony we FELT married. :) Thank you Jim for helping us join our lives together. It's been 12 months so far, and we're going strong! A million more to go!!

Jim Francek is a man of honesty. He has a genuine attitude to the commitment he makes to you as a couple, as you make one of the biggest steps in your life. If you are looking for a guy to just show up day of and speak from a book, Jim is NOT your man. Jim helped us from day one in our first of many meetings to learn who the each of us were, to explain why we loved each other, so he could start the building blocks of creating meaningful ceremony and it gave Corey and I a sense of, "Wow, this guy actually cares about who we are and what we are about!" It's refreshing to know a guy like Jim exists. Then Jim invited us to an eye-opening experience that we will take with us and use for the entire length of marriage. We took a day with him and other couples and reflected on who we really are and how we act and react to each other. This time with Jim was priceless and Corey and I lean red many new things about each other which has helped us in our engagement and marraige. He is a man who really understands why two people make this commitment and takes pride and joy in delivering a service that relays the true message of a wedding, the unity of two people and professing that love publicly in front of loving friends and family. The reception is great, but when it follows of service like Jim's, it looks like a mere bonus. Your family and friends will be floored. All in all, a ceremony with Jim is like he says, without boundaries, and he let us dictate how we wanted our ceremony to be and he added his wonderful and powerful words that had most people in tears. Thanks Jim! We look forward to working with you again on any future retreat!

I don't normally write reviews so this will be short and sweet but Jim was a fantastic officiant. He was patient, kind, knowledgable, and professional. We didnt write our own vows but he had a great selection of writings and readings to choose from. He was the perfect amount of spiritual and serious without the ceremony being too boring. I highly recommend him!!!!
