Jennifer Kochenour, owner and lead makeup artist of JKo Beauty, is a published and licensed cosmetologist who has worked with 1000+ brides since 1996. She is known for creating long-lasting, flawless and natural-looking complexions and enhancing every bride's natural beauty and unique personal style. Whether you prefer a fresh, natural look or a dramatic, sultry look...you will look and feel like yourself.
Jennifer has an extensive background as a professional makeup artist 30 years of experience. Some of her work includes several seasons of New York Fashion Week for well-known designers, commercials, pageants, tv, print and more. Working with clients of different ages, races and style preferences has well prepared her for working with brides and their bridal parties. In addition to being a licensed cosmetologist, she also graduated from the prestigious Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts in Los Angeles, CA in 2002. On-going education is very important to Jennifer and each year she continues to expand and hone her skills to offer the very best to her brides and clients. One of her favorite tools is airbrush makeup. Not only does it provide a flawless and long-wearing look, but she also uses it for body makeup and tattoo coverage.
Each bride works personally with Jennifer from the initial inquiry through the wedding day. For larger bridal parties, she will book a trusted second artist to complete your makeup services in a shorter amount of time. As a wedding industry expert, she works with her brides throughout the engagement period to best prepare them for their beauty-related concerns and much more.

I mostly showed pictures of my everyday makeup and described what I liked/did not like from makeup in the past and she listened to every detail and curated the perfect bridal makeup look! I was so happy with my trial that I did not change anything for my wedding day. It was a very warm day and my makeup stayed in place the whole day! My bridesmaids and moms were beyond happy with their makeup -- it was truly my favorite makeup I've seen on a bridal party! Truth be told, she was one of the first people I reached out to about their availability. Jennifer is so insanely talented. I felt beautiful and confident because of her amazing work! She was so fun to work with too and got to know me during my trial so that we’d have a good connection the day of the wedding. My mom and sisters were also so happy and looked beautiful! She does also have her own AWESOME makeup line and I was able to purchase lipstick and gloss for touch ups later. From our first meeting to our trial, she was so professional and detail oriented to ensure we had the same inspiration in mind. This was such a phenomenal thing to do as she was able to show me how the look would present on camera. Jennifer stayed right up to my ceremony and she became more of a bridal attendant than the one we had. She had tissues for when I cried, she fixed my train multiple times, the touch ups were amazing, she helped glue a part of my dress that kept flapping … everything she did was incredible that we called her our fairy godmother. At our trial she took her time to walk me through the look she was creating and check in with me along the way. I was especially appreciative of her knowledge and empathy when I had an allergic reaction and had to be super careful with the makeup I was using! Even on the wedding day she used her notes of the products I was using to ensure there was no risk of flare up.

I learned so much about skin care and everyday makeup looks. We used products I already had, and she also sent me home with guides and a list of products and brushes to add to my makeup collection. I learned SO much and use what she taught me while I get ready almost every day. I felt like a princess during my wedding day preview/trial in June 2022. I left my trial feeling like the most beautiful woman and it made me so genuinely excited for my wedding day look. On the morning of my wedding day, Jennifer nailed it again. My makeup (as well as the makeup for my mom and sister – I didn’t have bridesmaids) was flawless and lasted all day. I was so sad to wash my face at the end of the night. Jennifer is truly so wonderful to work with and be around - I feel like she has become a friend, and I cant wait for another special event so I can have her do my makeup once again. Jennifer also has her own line of makeup called JKoBeauty and WOW!! These products are amazing!! I have her lip liner, lipstick, lipgloss, blush, bronzer, and eyeliner. ng planning was a little stressful at times, I knew makeup was one thing I did not have to stress about once I found Jennifer. From our initial emails up until our wedding day, Jennifer was quick and easy to communicate with and she expressed genuine excitement to work together which I really appreciated. I was able to meet Jennifer in the fall for my makeup trial and I planned it to be on the same day as our engagement photos. I am usually very skeptical when it comes to getting my makeup done and I tend to always leave not feeling like myself and not loving the look. However, when I left Jennifer's studio on the day of my trial, I felt so beautiful and truly like myself. Throughout the trial, Jennifer was attentive, she listened to my vision, she explained her process and the products she would be using, we discussed things I liked and didn't like and she made sure to note everything for wedding day.
