ower. The tan turned out BEAUTIFULLY and didn't rub off on my white dress or look patchy. In following their post-tan instructions it faded very nicely as well. My wedding date was an oddly hot day in May (90+ degrees) and I was a little worried about my tan transferring onto my dress but it held up all night through sweat and tears! I would definitely book another tan for a special occasion

makeup options. The day of, the ladies were prompt and ran ahead of schedule. I had 5 bridesmaids and two moms, all with different skin tones and hair types. I let everyone pick what they wanted, as long as they felt beautiful. Jenn was able to match everyone's foundation flawlessly, and all of the looks were different yet cohesive. Laura was able to style everyone's hair, and I must say, I am obsessed with the party pony she styled for one of my bridesmaids. Jenn and Laura's energy was a vibe and set the tone for the day. My hair and makeup lasted all day. I was sad to say goodbye, because these girls are amazing and absolutely know how to make your bridal squad look and feel beautiful. JKW is outstanding, and you will not be disappointed!

ng just like I did. Due to COVID, my wedding was rescheduled from last year to this year. They let me reschedule one time from September 6th 2020 to September 26th 2021. Due to some unexpected life events, I had to postpone one more time and they wouldn’t let me reschedule again or use the deposit for other services. Since this was mentioned in the contract, I had no problem with this. They sent me a cancellation agreement link which was dead, so I couldn’t read or signed it. After that, they sent me the final invoice of the services and only one short notice on September 22nd reminding me to pay the balance in full. On September 24th, Jordan, the owner sent me a text to confirm if my wedding was cancelled. After hearing my final decision to cancel the wedding, she informed me that although I already lost my deposit, I still owed them the remaining balance!!! I was shocked since I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $809 IN TOTAL FOR ZERO SERVICE. I asked her to show me where in the contract said I would have to pay in full since it only mentioned ‘In the event of a cancellation by the client prior to the contracted event, the deposit is forfeited.’ She just bluntly told me ‘It’s in the contract.’ And the reason I had to pay in full was because I didn’t cancel the wedding officially. I explained to her I couldn’t sign the cancellation agreement because I couldn’t open the link to the form. I apologized for not responding promptly to her emails. And I wanted to talk to her on the phone to come to a final agreement for both sides. Then she sent me a text saying she didn't want to talk to me on phone. Without further explanation regarding the contract, she told me she would take me to the court if I don't pay the remaining balance!!! I felt very confused, upset, frustrated, and humiliated. I have read the contract over and over again and still unsure why I had to pay the whole balance. However, I still decided to pay to compensate for the time of the makeup and hair artists, and also for the sake of my mental health. And again, I PAID $809 IN TOTAL FOR ZERO SERVICE.

vision for hair and makeup - in particular, I wanted to keep my freckles visible and not covered by too much foundation - and she nailed it! Her and Mandy also helped make me and my bridesmaids and mom look so great on the wedding day! Each lady wanted something a little different (ranging from more natural to really glam), and they took everyone's wishes into consideration and delivered the results. They were also just so nice and fun to chat with - I couldn't have asked for a better makeup team for my wedding!

to find the best H/MU company out there so that I knew I would feel confident and beautiful on our wedding day. Looking at reviews online, that led me to JKW Beauty, which is about an hour north of my town and our original venue. Based on their work and online reviews, I felt it was definitely worth the drive up for a bridal preview - which was with the owner, Jordan. She is also the one I communicated with most over email in the months leading up to the wedding. I am not someone who typically wears a lot of makeup or does much other than occasionally blow-dry my hair, so I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted, but did bring some example photos to start from. During my preview, we tried a few different lip and hair options, until we found the right ones. Jordan was also wonderful to chat with over those 3 hours - about both my life and also her life and family. As a COVID couple, we changed our wedding date 3 times, moved venues once, and ultimately held our event 14 months later than originally planned. Jordan was supportive and accommodating each time we had to make a change, even though I know it was also a tough year for her business as well. Ultimately, our venue moved from Baltimore to the Eastern Shore, a much further drive for her team, which Jordan was also understanding of. For my 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms and myself, Jordan and Mandy were our two artists on the wedding day and they killed every one of the ladies’ looks! Mandy incorporated a few cool braids into hair styles, including one chunky side braid (very on trend currently) for my friend with long, thick hair, that looked absolutely amazing. Jordan did my hair and makeup, and I would not change anything about how I looked that day, which is a big statement from someone who is still very self conscious about my skin and hair. Even down to the detail of the lip products she used for me - at one point a few hours in, I thought I should check a mirror in case I need to re-apply the gloss so the lip liner doesn’t stick out by itself - but when I checked everything looked great still and held up the whole time without any touch ups needed which allowed me to fully enjoy the night and be present! I found JKW Beauty’s pricing to be very competitive with other companies I looked into but their reviews were superior, and now I can definitively say the quality of the work they did on my wedding day was outstanding! I cannot recommend their services enough for any special occasion!

Melissa did a great job with my bridesmaids too! They all didn't have a clear expectation but knew they wanted natural and she delivered. Megan even convinced my mom to do lashes and she LOVED them! Everyone in my group did the lashes and I would highly recommend doing them. I honestly went on the internet to find JKW and I am so glad I listened to their reviews. They are very skilled and perfectly understood what each person wanted done. They were punctual, friendly, and extremely great listeners. Something I especially liked was that they did touch ups before leaving, so if someone had their makeup or hair done early in the morning, they made sure it looked perfect before leaving hours later. They can definitely do a wide variety of hairstyles and makeup, no matter the level of complexity or detail you prefer. Extremely recommended. I had been singing her praises ever since my hair trial, and all of my best friends understood why on my big day! She and Mandy brought such great energy the morning of the wedding- and we all felt the most beautiful we’ve ever felt. I know there are a ton of hair and makeup artists in this area and the decision can be challenging for your big day, but I promise these ladies will make you feel like a billion bucks!

Skipping explanations because we all know the cancellations and heartbreaks of a pandemic-bride, let's just say I only had 2 days left to lock in someone for hair/makeup. Jordan, the owner, returned my tearful voicemail within hours, figured out a 1-person bride package on the spot and hooked me up with Megan! No trial, a 5 min phone consult and the very next morning - I had the best h+mu artist literally getting me ready for the best day of my life and was an absolute sweetheart chatting with me all morning and taking posed pictures like a bridesmaid would. With how JKW took care of me in no time/high stress/no trial/etc., you just know this team is first-class. They mean it when they care about you as a bride as if you are family. After our initial conversation, I knew I wanted to book them asap. From the very beginning, the JKW team was very responsive and helpful - allowing me to explain my likes and what I was going for and tweaking my look to be perfect. Jordan was my head artist and helped during my trial to make my full glam makeup request look flawless and even helped guide me in choosing hair extensions that would work for the hairstyle I wanted. I was also really excited that Jordan uses amazing quality products (Pat McGrath, Nars, Armani) - she's so passionate about her work and it really shows! I was already beyond happy with having booked JKW and a month out from the big day when BOOM. COVID-19. Postponing our fully-planned April wedding felt incredibly daunting, but Jordan and her team were so quick to jump right in with me and work out a new date. Every response was so kind, encouraging, and timely. It honestly helped the replanning process go much smoother. We postponed for August, which also ended up not being far enough out for our full-sized event. In the end, we decided to still get married in a micro ceremony and push our reception. As soon as I was in touch with Jordan and her team, they jumped right into action to work with me. Initially, our wedding plans included hair and makeup services for 11 people. JKW had created a micro package in response to COVID and the shift in weddings and we were able to schedule hair and makeup services for a much smaller group of 4 (my bridal services, my MOH sister, and the two mamas).  We finally made it to the big day - Jordan and Mandy were our 2 artists and they showed up right on time and were so enthusiastic and excited! Given the more intimate wedding, I had decided last minute that I wanted to tone down my makeup look. Jordan was SO flexible and adjusted to make everything perfect for our smaller occasion. Both my mother and sister NEVER wear makeup and Jordan was also able to totally nail their request for very natural looks. Everyone's hair and makeup turned out perfect - and we all felt so amazing. Mandy's hairstyles were stunning and Jordan made my hair look even better than it had at the trial! I didn't think that was possible! AND all our hair and makeup lasted for hours, even in August heat. Finally, Jordan and the team were so professional in responding to the current state of the world by adding additional safety measures to their services to make sure everyone felt safe (ie we had a separate room to have hair and makeup done, face shields and masks were worn, etc). I really appreciated that attention to detail - after going through so much change from what we had initially envisioned, how JKW conducted themselves really showed they cared about our safety. I honestly can not say enough amazing things about JKW Beauty. From the talent of the team to the compassion and empathy they showed during such trying times - they are the BEST kind of people. We're planning on using them again for our rescheduled reception (I'm going full glam this time!) and I'm so thankful to have found Jordan and her team. BOOK THEM - seriously you will not regret it!

I wasn’t sure that I wanted to book a vendor for hair and makeup, but I’m so happy I did! The money spent was well worth it and the pictures turned out amazing! Not only do they offer hair and makeup, but they offer tanning, previews, and many other bridal beauty needs! They had options for everything! I would highly recommend JKW and especially any of the wonderful ladies that worked with me the day of!
