JKW Beauty

absolutely killed my hair and makeup along with my maid of honors. I would recommend JKW beauty but especially Megan for any bride and bridal party. She was also such a vibe to have in the room with us! Fun and talented!

from the moment I booked them with the incredible team of four makeup artists, Megan, Jordan, Kelsey, and Melissa, who worked their magic on my large bridal party. From start to finish, they demonstrated unparalleled skill, creativity, and professionalism, ensuring that every member of the bridal party looked and felt absolutely radiant. Their artistry and professionalism were top-notch, creating stunning looks for each member of the bridal party that were both unique and cohesive. Each artist took the time to understand personal preferences and delivered flawless results that lasted from the ceremony through the reception (even in Virginia humidity in July!). Their friendly, upbeat demeanor made the experience enjoyable and stress-free. They were not only skilled but also incredibly accommodating, turning the makeup session into a highlight of the day. The compliments from our guests were endless, and it was clear that their expertise was a significant factor. If you’re looking for a makeup team that combines talent with a personal touch, look no further. This group of artists are exceptional, and I can’t recommend JKW Beauty highly enough for any special occasion! -Shelby G.

l shout out to Megan for doing my hair and makeup as the bride. I have never felt prettier in my life. Aside from that, they are incredibly punctual, professional, kind, and caring.

when I wanted to change something last minute! My make up and hair stayed together the whole night even though it was so hot out!

feel stunning on my wedding day!

even more grateful that they paired me with Megan. I truly have nothing but amazing things to say about her knowledge of hair and makeup and professionalism! She immediately caught the vibe I was going for, listened to everything I was saying, offered suggestions and ultimately executed expertly (at the trial and day of!). On the day of Megan also did my mom’s makeup and two of my bridesmaids hair/makeup and they loved it as well! On the website and booking process - it is so incredibly laid out, the information you need for wedding prices and booking is easy to find and transparent. This was so refreshing after an exhaustive search and they made it so easy! JKW was so quick to respond to everything and do incredibly professional. I visited their new salon for my bridal trial and can I just say: WOW! It’s an amazing space and everyone there has the best energy.

what I wanted. During my hair trial, Megan helped me figure it out and made feel a lot more comfortable about the whole process. On the morning of the wedding, Megan and Jordan showed up in full force to beautify my bridesmaids and I. Everyone loved them! They were super fun, made everyone feel so beautiful and set such a good vibe for the day. Spending the morning of my wedding with my closest ladies, laughing and reminiscing while getting glammed up is truly one of my favorite memories of the day. I can't thank or recommend JKW Beauty enough!

y also did such an amazing job! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and I could never thank Mandy enough for that! The girls were on time in the morning and kept to the schedule - evening finishing a little early. Would absolutely recommend for your wedding day beauty needs!

trial (from a low bun to soft loose waves). Felicia was able to give me exactly what I was wanted and it lasted the entire night. I also had small changes from the trial for my makeup and she nailed it. She’s such a talented artist and I would recommend her to everyone. Mandy and Megan took care of my 6 bridesmaids, mom, and MIL. Every single look was beautiful. The process from start to finish was so easy. JKW was responsive, professional, and the artists were so fun to be around the morning of. They also did my spray tan and I couldn’t be happier with how it all came together.

but elevated on my wedding day, which was exactly how I wanted to feel, and JKW made that easy!

talking with an old friend. The JKW team was awesome on the day of and had fun with us! Everyone loved their hair and makeup ! I also got spray tans with Megan and she made it comfortable and fun and the tan worked out beautifully for the wedding ! Definitely recommend !!!

rial to wedding, and my whole crew (9 total) were all VERY happy with their finished looks and the compliments came left and right! I cannot thank them enough for their amazing work that lasted through a windy snowy night.

een my trial and day of, not letting me walk down the aisle unless I felt perfect. They are fun, down to earth, and very good at what they do. Each of my bridesmaids felt amazing, and my mom, a notorious critic, was glowing. Hire them asap!

ial: she was easy to talk to, listened to my requests, and truly nailed my vision without hesitation or judgement. On wedding day, my makeup was better than I expected, and I received so. many. compliments throughout the day! Both Mandy and Felicia were fantastic with my bridesmaids on the day of. My girls absolutely loved how they looked, the pricing was extremely reasonable, and we finished hair and makeup AHEAD of schedule! JKW Beauty is professional, fun, and amazing at what they do. Would recommend them to any bride!!

. During my bridal trial, Megan was very attentive and understood that I had bad experiences prior to finding them. She assured me that won't happen again. She asked what I was looking and she delivered! I felt so beautiful. On my wedding day, she made sure she did my hair and makeup exactly how we did it the bridal trial. The other two artists were also attentive and were able to create what my bridal party envisioned for themselves. I received so many compliments on how I and my bridal party looked great! Definitely book JKW Beauty Team!

ower. The tan turned out BEAUTIFULLY and didn't rub off on my white dress or look patchy. In following their post-tan instructions it faded very nicely as well. My wedding date was an oddly hot day in May (90+ degrees) and I was a little worried about my tan transferring onto my dress but it held up all night through sweat and tears! I would definitely book another tan for a special occasion

, and 2 moms for the big day. They were so talented and accommodated the many different hair types, extensions, accessories that my bridesmaids had brought in! Felicia did a WONDERFUL job on my bridal hair and makeup. The trial was easy to coordinate, allowed me to work with Felicia, and put my vision into reality. I was even happier with the way my hair and makeup turned out on my wedding day. My makeup and hair held the entire night, and withstood my many happy tears. Thank you JKW beauty for being an awesome team. I highly recommend!

n better than I could imagine. She arrived early morning of and finished early too!! For me this was so great because I had time to relax and be with my mom and bridesmaid. I was able to finish my lunch before we started and enjoy myself. My mom and bridesmaid loved all there looks as well. I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life: The style and makeup held up all night but felt so natural and light. She made adjustments to make sure I was comfortable. She truly made my morning so very special.

t that I had no way to make it to Frederick, MD), they talked me through everything in advance and reassured me that I would look the way I wanted on my wedding day. And Melissa 1000% delivered!! As someone who has never worn more than mascara and the occasional eyeliner, let alone a full face of makeup, Melissa did a fabulous job at talking me through the process and making me feel like a naturally more glamorous version of myself! The same went for my bridal party & the moms, all of whom were in a similar boat. We all felt gorgeous and confident on the big day! I could not recommend Melissa and the JKWBeauty team enough!

lways quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the planning process. They did a beautiful job with everyone’s hair and makeup, across a variety of skin tones & hair types. The ladies were so fun and amazing to have around on the morning of my wedding. Jordan absolutely crushed it with my hair & makeup, and I felt the most beautiful I ever have! I would recommend them for glam for any event in your life!

because I am so picky about every detail of my look (lol) but Megan met my expectations/needs AND THEN SOME. I have never felt more beautiful and couldn’t recommend them more. They are so sweet and talented. If you want to have no worries and a getting ready experience you’ll never forget, book JKW ❤️

makeup options. The day of, the ladies were prompt and ran ahead of schedule. I had 5 bridesmaids and two moms, all with different skin tones and hair types. I let everyone pick what they wanted, as long as they felt beautiful. Jenn was able to match everyone's foundation flawlessly, and all of the looks were different yet cohesive. Laura was able to style everyone's hair, and I must say, I am obsessed with the party pony she styled for one of my bridesmaids. Jenn and Laura's energy was a vibe and set the tone for the day. My hair and makeup lasted all day. I was sad to say goodbye, because these girls are amazing and absolutely know how to make your bridal squad look and feel beautiful. JKW is outstanding, and you will not be disappointed!

executed it perfectly. My look was natural and classic--just what I wanted. I couldn't believe how quickly Laura and Mandy worked! My bridal party of 5 and MIL were ready to go in no time! I had to reschedule my wedding reception due to covid and JKW was always extremely accommodating and fostered communication to make sure that we were on the same page. I highly recommend JKW Beauty for any occasion that you want to feel fabulous!

ve her one inspo picture and she nailed it. My mom, sister-in-law, and best friend were equally as in love with their hair and make up. I highly recommend Megan and the JKW Beauty team. From booking, to the preview, to the best day of my life, they showed up and showed out.

n, and Felicia) were amazing. Not only did Mandy create a hair and makeup look that was exactly what I wanted, her and the other artists treated each of my bridesmaids, mom, and MIL to hair and makeup looks they wanted as well. It was really important to me to find a HMU team who didn't just rush through the rest of my bridal party/treat them as less important. The artists were fun, creative, and SO talented. From glam to more natural makeup and braids/party ponys/ up-dos/Hollywood waves, they were able to do it all. 10/10 would recommend JKW beauty for any bridal HMU needs.

e. I left it natural, and then on the day of the wedding, she fixed my curls and did her magic. I LOVED my hair! And I talked through every step with Jenn for my makeup and she hit on point! If you want to be at ease and not worry about your hair/make up on the day of, let them take care of it. Jenn, Felicia, and Mandy worked magic on me (bride), the bridesmaids, and several moms. Just loved their work!

ng just like I did. Due to COVID, my wedding was rescheduled from last year to this year. They let me reschedule one time from September 6th 2020 to September 26th 2021. Due to some unexpected life events, I had to postpone one more time and they wouldn’t let me reschedule again or use the deposit for other services. Since this was mentioned in the contract, I had no problem with this. They sent me a cancellation agreement link which was dead, so I couldn’t read or signed it. After that, they sent me the final invoice of the services and only one short notice on September 22nd reminding me to pay the balance in full. On September 24th, Jordan, the owner sent me a text to confirm if my wedding was cancelled. After hearing my final decision to cancel the wedding, she informed me that although I already lost my deposit, I still owed them the remaining balance!!! I was shocked since I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $809 IN TOTAL FOR ZERO SERVICE. I asked her to show me where in the contract said I would have to pay in full since it only mentioned ‘In the event of a cancellation by the client prior to the contracted event, the deposit is forfeited.’ She just bluntly told me ‘It’s in the contract.’ And the reason I had to pay in full was because I didn’t cancel the wedding officially. I explained to her I couldn’t sign the cancellation agreement because I couldn’t open the link to the form. I apologized for not responding promptly to her emails. And I wanted to talk to her on the phone to come to a final agreement for both sides. Then she sent me a text saying she didn't want to talk to me on phone. Without further explanation regarding the contract, she told me she would take me to the court if I don't pay the remaining balance!!! I felt very confused, upset, frustrated, and humiliated. I have read the contract over and over again and still unsure why I had to pay the whole balance. However, I still decided to pay to compensate for the time of the makeup and hair artists, and also for the sake of my mental health. And again, I PAID $809 IN TOTAL FOR ZERO SERVICE.

r around for the day. Thank you Laura for making us all beautiful!

vision for hair and makeup - in particular, I wanted to keep my freckles visible and not covered by too much foundation - and she nailed it! Her and Mandy also helped make me and my bridesmaids and mom look so great on the wedding day! Each lady wanted something a little different (ranging from more natural to really glam), and they took everyone's wishes into consideration and delivered the results. They were also just so nice and fun to chat with - I couldn't have asked for a better makeup team for my wedding!

to find the best H/MU company out there so that I knew I would feel confident and beautiful on our wedding day. Looking at reviews online, that led me to JKW Beauty, which is about an hour north of my town and our original venue. Based on their work and online reviews, I felt it was definitely worth the drive up for a bridal preview - which was with the owner, Jordan. She is also the one I communicated with most over email in the months leading up to the wedding. I am not someone who typically wears a lot of makeup or does much other than occasionally blow-dry my hair, so I didn’t really know exactly what I wanted, but did bring some example photos to start from. During my preview, we tried a few different lip and hair options, until we found the right ones. Jordan was also wonderful to chat with over those 3 hours - about both my life and also her life and family. As a COVID couple, we changed our wedding date 3 times, moved venues once, and ultimately held our event 14 months later than originally planned. Jordan was supportive and accommodating each time we had to make a change, even though I know it was also a tough year for her business as well. Ultimately, our venue moved from Baltimore to the Eastern Shore, a much further drive for her team, which Jordan was also understanding of. For my 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms and myself, Jordan and Mandy were our two artists on the wedding day and they killed every one of the ladies’ looks! Mandy incorporated a few cool braids into hair styles, including one chunky side braid (very on trend currently) for my friend with long, thick hair, that looked absolutely amazing. Jordan did my hair and makeup, and I would not change anything about how I looked that day, which is a big statement from someone who is still very self conscious about my skin and hair. Even down to the detail of the lip products she used for me - at one point a few hours in, I thought I should check a mirror in case I need to re-apply the gloss so the lip liner doesn’t stick out by itself - but when I checked everything looked great still and held up the whole time without any touch ups needed which allowed me to fully enjoy the night and be present! I found JKW Beauty’s pricing to be very competitive with other companies I looked into but their reviews were superior, and now I can definitively say the quality of the work they did on my wedding day was outstanding! I cannot recommend their services enough for any special occasion!

l 6 of my bridesmaids looked absolutely beautiful as well thanks to Megan!

egan. From my trial to my day of, she was so communicative and helpful. She made me look and feel stunning. She understood that I am not a huge makeup person so she did just the right amount. Melissa did a great job with my bridesmaids too! They all didn't have a clear expectation but knew they wanted natural and she delivered. Megan even convinced my mom to do lashes and she LOVED them! Everyone in my group did the lashes and I would highly recommend doing them. I honestly went on the internet to find JKW and I am so glad I listened to their reviews. I highly recommend them- especially Megan :)

beat and fun morning of the wedding and finished everyones hair and make up with time to spare! Could not recommend JKW beauty enough!

eeded my expectations. We did an outdoor ceremony on a very windy December day and my hair and makeup stayed perfectly throughout the day & night; I was even able to keep it on through the brunch the next morning! Jordan and Mandy went above and beyond with my bridesmaids, MOB, 3-year-old flower girl, and were even able to accommodate my niece that was able to come to the wedding last minute. They were brought such a positive and fun energy to the bridal suite! My mother was absolutely beaming and told me she had never felt so pampered and gorgeous. I highly recommend JKW Beauty for your wedding or any event when you want to feel incredible.

rs when it comes to getting the hair and makeup I want for formal events, and this was NOT the case at all with JKW Beauty. They are very skilled and perfectly understood what each person wanted done. They were punctual, friendly, and extremely great listeners. Something I especially liked was that they did touch ups before leaving, so if someone had their makeup or hair done early in the morning, they made sure it looked perfect before leaving hours later. They can definitely do a wide variety of hairstyles and makeup, no matter the level of complexity or detail you prefer. Extremely recommended. The most satisfied I have been when it comes to getting my hair and makeup done! This is a team of professionals.

s before my wedding up until the big day, she was so kind and accommodating. She made me feel truly beautiful and was receptive to everything I told her. She made my hair and makeup dreams come to life. Although we were crunched for time due to our venue, Megan and her team made sure that everyone's hair and makeup was done in time and nothing short of perfect. You won't regret booking them!

was wonderful to work with and made my spray tan dreams come true. Laura is a hair and makeup GODDESS and was so easy to work with! My hair inspiration was taken from Pinterest and turned up 100% and even without any makeup inspiration, she read my mind and made me the prettiest I’ve ever been. If you’re looking for boss women who will make you feel like your best self, BOOK JKW!

ake-up for the bride, her 8 bridesmaids, and mom and future mother-in-law. The JKW Beauty team set the tone for the perfect wedding day and I would highly recommend them to any bride.

twice already for a tan and have been super happy both times! Megan made sure to create a perfect color for me, once in the middle of summer and again in the fall. I always get tons of compliments on it. I had the best tan for my engagement photos and I'll be sure to go back for one before my bridal shower and the wedding of course! I can't wait for her to finally do my hair and make up in April (:

e her. She is effortlessly cool and she is insanely gifted when it comes to hair and makeup. She did my bridal hair along with some of my bridesmaids hair and makeup. I had been singing her praises ever since my hair trial, and all of my best friends understood why on my big day! Megan instantly saw my vision and was actively sending me inspiration leading up to the big day. She and Mandy brought such great energy the morning of the wedding- and we all felt the most beautiful we’ve ever felt. I know there are a ton of hair and makeup artists in this area and the decision can be challenging for your big day, but I promise these ladies will make you feel like a billion bucks!

She perfectly executed the look I wanted and had lots of great suggestions to really bring it to life. I would highly recommend this team!

ng me feel like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day!

such a wonderful job for my hair and makeup. My friends highly recommended her and from the looks of her instagram - she seemed like the perfect person to give me a natural boho bridal look. She used multiple products I ended up taking pictures of to order later and best of all, she used a airbrush foundation that literally made my skin look photoshopped! It was flawless and lasted the entire day. Most of all, I have to recommend JKW Beauty because without hesitation, they came to my #covid rescue. Skipping explanations because we all know the cancellations and heartbreaks of a pandemic-bride, let's just say I only had 2 days left to lock in someone for hair/makeup. Jordan, the owner, returned my tearful voicemail within hours, figured out a 1-person bride package on the spot and hooked me up with Megan! No trial, a 5 min phone consult and the very next morning - I had the best h+mu artist literally getting me ready for the best day of my life and was an absolute sweetheart chatting with me all morning and taking posed pictures like a bridesmaid would. (love ya girl!!) Like many engaged ladies/gents in 2020, I am a #loveisnotcancelled #covidbride. With how JKW took care of me in no time/high stress/no trial/etc., you just know this team is first-class. They mean it when they care about you as a bride as if you are family. While I would have Megan do my h+mu for every big event of my life if i could, you can believe every artist that Jordan hires is just the same -- great personalities, highly-skilled and set up with all the tools/lashes/colors/products that can make anyone feel like a model on their wedding day.

help do me up for the big day. I had seen JKW's work at a friend's wedding and knew they were top-notch, so I reached out to them first. After our initial conversation, I knew I wanted to book them asap. From the very beginning, the JKW team was very responsive and helpful - allowing me to explain my likes and what I was going for and tweaking my look to be perfect. Jordan was my head artist and helped during my trial to make my full glam makeup request look flawless and even helped guide me in choosing hair extensions that would work for the hairstyle I wanted. I was also really excited that Jordan uses amazing quality products (Pat McGrath, Nars, Armani) - she's so passionate about her work and it really shows! I was already beyond happy with having booked JKW and a month out from the big day when BOOM. COVID-19. Postponing our fully-planned April wedding felt incredibly daunting, but Jordan and her team were so quick to jump right in with me and work out a new date. Every response was so kind, encouraging, and timely. It honestly helped the replanning process go much smoother. We postponed for August, which also ended up not being far enough out for our full-sized event. In the end, we decided to still get married in a micro ceremony and push our reception. As soon as I was in touch with Jordan and her team, they jumped right into action to work with me. Initially, our wedding plans included hair and makeup services for 11 people. JKW had created a micro package in response to COVID and the shift in weddings and we were able to schedule hair and makeup services for a much smaller group of 4 (my bridal services, my MOH sister, and the two mamas).  We finally made it to the big day - Jordan and Mandy were our 2 artists and they showed up right on time and were so enthusiastic and excited! Given the more intimate wedding, I had decided last minute that I wanted to tone down my makeup look. Jordan was SO flexible and adjusted to make everything perfect for our smaller occasion. Both my mother and sister NEVER wear makeup and Jordan was also able to totally nail their request for very natural looks. Everyone's hair and makeup turned out perfect - and we all felt so amazing. Mandy's hairstyles were stunning and Jordan made my hair look even better than it had at the trial! I didn't think that was possible! AND all our hair and makeup lasted for hours, even in August heat. Finally, Jordan and the team were so professional in responding to the current state of the world by adding additional safety measures to their services to make sure everyone felt safe (ie we had a separate room to have hair and makeup done, face shields and masks were worn, etc). I really appreciated that attention to detail - after going through so much change from what we had initially envisioned, how JKW conducted themselves really showed they cared about our safety. I honestly can not say enough amazing things about JKW Beauty. From the talent of the team to the compassion and empathy they showed during such trying times - they are the BEST kind of people. We're planning on using them again for our rescheduled reception (I'm going full glam this time!) and I'm so thankful to have found Jordan and her team. BOOK THEM - seriously you will not regret it!

options, and my hair turned out beautiful! Kelsey killed the make-up and Piper made sure my bridesmaids, Mother’s, and JR bridesmaids looked stunning! The day of my wedding was perfect! They were on time and moved so smoothly through each person. I booked both hair and makeup and had a large bridal party (over 9), and they finished with time to spare for addition add on services and time for pictures. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to book a vendor for hair and makeup, but I’m so happy I did! The money spent was well worth it and the pictures turned out amazing! Not only do they offer hair and makeup, but they offer tanning, previews, and many other bridal beauty needs! They had options for everything! I would highly recommend JKW and especially any of the wonderful ladies that worked with me the day of!
