JLB Wedding Photography

from start to finish. We first worked with Jeffrey for our engagement shoot, and honestly, we were nervous—posing for photos in public isn't exactly our comfort zone. But Jeffrey's calm, easygoing demeanor put us completely at ease. By the end of the session, we were actually having fun, and we walked away with so many incredible shots. On our wedding day, Jeffrey continued to work his magic. He was professional, unobtrusive, and somehow managed to capture every meaningful moment. As a gay couple, we encountered vendors throughout our wedding planning who didn't quite know how to work with us—whether it was awkward assumptions or just a general lack of experience. Jeffrey was different from the start. He was natural, affirming, and made us feel completely comfortable being ourselves in front of the camera. That meant everything to us. We can't recommend JLB Photography highly enough. If you're looking for a photographer who combines talent, professionalism, and genuine warmth, Jeffrey is your guy.

n! Iv’e gotten many compliments on my photos.

we realized there isn’t one. He really is THAT good. He traveled all the way to Charlotte for our engagement session, which already meant a lot to us. And from the moment we met him, he made us feel completely at ease — which is saying something because we’re definitely not people who usually love photos of ourselves. But these? We absolutely love them. Like genuinely LOVE them. What surprised us most is that it was more than just taking and getting pictures. The whole session felt like an experience. He made it fun, natural, and honestly something we’ll remember forever. He somehow captured us in a way that didn’t feel posed or forced — just real moments, real connection. The photos feel like art, but at the same time they feel like us. And the turnaround time? So fast. We were blown away by how quickly he delivered such beautiful work. Overall, the experience was incredible from start to finish. We left not just with amazing photos, but with the feeling that we got more than we even realized we were signing up for. We’re so grateful we chose him, he is a genuinely good person to be around, and we are even more excited now for him to shoot our wedding!!

He did not disappoint! He was incredibly thorough throughout the entire planning process, taking the time to build a detailed timeline of our wedding day and reviewing it with us to make sure everything ran seamlessly. On the day of, he balanced his creative vision with professionalism — capturing stunning, artistic shots while also being amazing at posing everyone so we all looked our best. He’s also one of the most personable photographers I’ve ever met, making everyone feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. And his turnaround time is unbelievable — I had edited photos and GIFs to share within 12 hours, and our full gallery was delivered in less than two weeks. I couldn’t recommend him more!

g so far as to say, "If I ever get married, I want JLB to be the photographer." Absolute best judgment call from a 20-something-year-old kid to hang onto that dream, and I'm beyond excited that I got the chance to actually follow through with that reality. Jeffrey was phenomenal to work with, and he made it feel easy to get two incredibly awkward people into the perfect shot every time. I was most excited for the pictures to come back from the wedding, and he truly delivered. If you want the most magical, artistic, beautiful pictures of your life, JLB is the one. I’d 10000/10 recommend, but the photos really speak for themselves.

quiry meeting, we knew his energy, kindness, and vision were exactly what we wanted for our wedding. Our engagement photoshoot was the first time seeing him in live in action and for two people that aren’t so comfortable in front of the camera, his confidence and demeanor allowed us to have so much fun.  On our wedding day, I can’t begin to describe how celebrated he made us feel. It felt (and still does) so surreal. JLB give us an experience that a couple could only dream of on their wedding day. He truly directs the day to make sure everything goes to plan. We had only interacted with him a few times before, but he made us feel like we knew him for years. JLB made us feel like the only two people in the room, while making sure our guests have the same experience. I can’t even count the amount of compliments we have received from our guest on his kindness, talent, energy, and all of the photos we have shared. The photos are AMAZING!  He allowed us to feel every emotion of that day, while capturing all of our favorite moments. His vision, quality, and eye for architecture are truly unmatched. Our wedding photos feel so true to us and timeless. We can’t recommend him enough. Go book him now!!

y pictures (which made things so much smoother) and led us to some of the best photo spots in Detroit that we never would have found ourselves. The photos captured the energy and spirit of the day so beautifully, with a mix of candid moments and creative portraits. Beyond being talented, he made the entire process fun and relaxed, which made all the difference. If you want amazing pictures, hire JLB

the day. His energy allowed us to be fully present with one another, never worrying about what was being captured because we had complete faith in him. As a same-sex couple, we cannot overstate how comfortable and celebrated he made us feel. Many photographers default to traditional, heteronormative poses, but Jeffrey understood how to guide us with direction that felt natural, confident, and tailored to us. We are not naturally great at posing, and his clear, precise guidance was invaluable. His artistry is undeniable. He captured it all—the emotional candid moments, the striking editorial shots, the architectural and design details, and even elevated portraits of our guests. These were far from simple photo booth snapshots; they are images our friends and family are genuinely excited to share, print, and frame in their own homes. Beyond the beauty of each photo, his work has a timeless quality. While so many photographers lean into trends, Jeffrey’s images feel classic and enduring, the kind of heirlooms we know our kids and grandkids will cherish. Jeffrey also collaborated seamlessly with our videographer and other vendors, ensuring everything flowed smoothly. He managed the timeline during the first half of the day, which gave us the rare gift of disconnecting completely from our phones and watches. On top of that, his turnaround time was unbelievable. We received a large set of images the very next day, which allowed us to immediately share with loved ones and relive the celebration. And it wasn’t just us who felt this way. Within days of the wedding, our friends and family were texting us unprompted to rave about him. Here are a few of our favs: “BEYOND impressed with Jeffrey. He is a legend of his craft.” “That Jeffrey guy is THE GUY.” "WHO was your photographer travel and does he travel!? We NEED him at our wedding." “Kris Jenner works hard but JLB works harder.” Jeffrey is not only a phenomenal photographer but also the kind of person you want by your side on the most important day of your life. Book him now before someone else does.

. From our first interaction, it was clear he would be kind, supportive, and genuine throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, he made my partner and I feel completely comfortable and at ease. He gave direction to us and our family and friends with confidence and patience. We love the documentary-style shots he captured. After the ceremony, while taking photos at our favorite places around the city, he was consistently two steps ahead of us thinking about the next shot, so that all we had to do was be present and have fun. It's clear Jeffrey loves what he does. I recommend JLB Wedding Photography 100 times over!

He was enthusiastic, upbeat, creative, and very detailed. His commitment to capturing the moment perfectly is reflected in the output of his product. While we have only received our social media reel because our wedding was just last week, it all of our friends and family are stunned by what Jeff has captured. We can't wait to receive the final output. An added bonus, he's a super nice man and the consummate professional. If you're considering hiring him, do not hesitate. Just do it. You will be glad that you did.

d we wanted a photographer who could represent that in a unique and beautiful way. JLB knocked it out of the park. I am a HS teacher/coach. A mom of a former student of mine shared that when her daughter saw JLB’s IG preview she and her friends was floored and obsessed over the photos… so not only Millenial approved, but Gen Z approved as well. The icing on the cake: we were 15 minutes from the start of the ceremony and getting nervous and eager to get to our staging area. JLB encouraged us to take one more photo and staged what ended up being our favorite photo and is truly priceless to us. Our advice outsider of hiring him: trust him and go on the adventure with him. You won’t be disappointed.

feel so comfortable and natural—we never felt overly posed, just completely like ourselves. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he also made the whole experience so much fun. He even helped us come up with a super creative exit shot that turned out to be one of our favorite photos of the day! JLB has an amazing eye, a calm and joyful presence, and a true gift for capturing the real, beautiful moments. We’re beyond grateful for his work and will treasure these memories forever. 10/10 recommend!!

eamless and made us both look soooo good! Especially because we both are super awkward in photos and these photos we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives! The first engagement session was the hottest day ever and the heat was killing me and he totally understood when we had to reschedule the rest of our engagement session and we were perfectly able to fall right back into sync the second time around!! Getting to work with Jeffrey was the best decision we ever made! Photography was the part of the wedding that is the most important ever and he was just fantastic! So sad we won’t get to work with him again! Maybe a 1 year photoshoot will be in our purview ;)

rey for both an engagement shoot in Ann Arbor and for our wedding at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, and it's by far the best decisions we've ever made. Both times during the engagement shoot and the wedding creative shots, Jeffrey was running all over Ann Arbor and Detroit getting the best angles and shots of us. We don't have background in photography or posing, yet his suggestions made us look like naturals in front of the camera. Normally I'm very shy in front of a camera but Jeffrey's fun, delightful, and energetic personality makes it so easy to be myself in photos. Even during the planning process, he set up a planning call with us to discuss who we wanted to get photos of during the day, how to do the first look before the ceremony, and any formal photos we wanted to take after the ceremony. He is one of the most professional and thorough people we've worked with. Almost every wedding guest we've talked to after our wedding also mentioned Jeffrey as being one of the most talented photographers they know too. After both our experiences, we know we'll be turning to Jeffrey for all our couples' photoshoot needs and recommending him as a wedding and engagement photographer to everyone we know. Thank you tremendously, Jeffrey, for being part of our special day and for capturing moments that we'll have forever!

ed I would be awkward or look back and be overly critical, but the final product was so much more than I expected. He also worked very well alongside our content creator and other wedding vendors. Thank you JLB!

LB. His artistic style is so unique and expressive, and it fit the vision for our wedding so well. From the moment we started working with him, we felt assured that we had made the right choice. JLB was incredibly professional, organized, and knowledgable. And he had a confident answer for every specific question we had (e.g., how do you take photos of people with darker skin tones). Things got even better once we met in person for a pre-wedding/engagement shoot. We were so nervous about taking professional photographs, but JLB made us feel instantly comfortable. Within minutes, we were having so much fun running around town, listening to JLB's instructions, and taking museum-worthy photos. Fast-forward to the wedding, and his approach was no different: he captured all of the right moments in picture-perfect fashion, all while being super organized and super friendly. Looking back at these photos, we're shocked that he's just one person--he was somehow in multiple places, taking pictures of multiple angles, all at the same time. We can't wait to look back at these photos again and again in the years to come. We can't recommend JLB enough!

h our guests and gave us the most beautiful memories from our day. He is worth every penny. Our only regret about hiring JLB was that we only have one wedding day!

is field Our photos turned out incredible! We were so delighted by the time he took to take unique portraits of our guests, all in different locations at our venue. I will continue to recommend his services for years to come!

l SO confident. We are in LOVE with our photos. We wanted someone who captured the essence of detroit and he went above and beyond. Book him!!! You will NOT regret it. Next day we had multiple photos, a reel, and animated GIFs.He was there every second capturing everything and had the best ideas. Best decision of our wedding hands down!!

eceived our photos in record time for every photoshoot. He gets the job done fast! The return on the investment is definitely worth it. All of our photos have been amazing. His attention to detail and creation process is iconic! Every session of ours went so smooth. His photos just keep getting better! Hire him, you won’t regret it!

job capturing our must-have shots in record time for my very large, loud family. He was very responsive leading up to the event, prompt in arriving and very polished and put together on the day-of. We knew well before receiving our photos that they'd be awesome, and JLB did not disappoint! We received digital access to everything within 2 weeks and got a thumb drive containing everything very shortly after. Every photo feels like a work of art, and we love the various color treatments each one came in. JLB went beyond our expectations by not only snapping a glimpse of our wedding, but capturing the soul and vibe of our event through photography. Our photos are uniquely "us" and unlike any other wedding photos we've ever seen. HIRE THIS GUY!

JLB stuck by our side through all of the planning changes. Our photos are so special to me, especially with our 14 month old son now being apart of our day. JLB captured all of our special moments and we will cherish our photos forever! His work is beautiful, unique, and artistic. Book him!!

photos we'll cherish forever. He has such a gorgeous style of photography and made us feel so comfortable the entire time.

ved, we felt incredibly at ease. It was so clear Jeffrey knew exactly what he was doing, and what would work best for us, our guests, and the photographs. His dedication to excellence was obvious and , as a result, we felt like we were in incredibly capable hands the entire time. His attention to detail was also very impressive: from ensuring my chin was placed correctly to checking each family photo to be sure we had a "good one" with no blinking - we were truly blown away. He approached our day with fierce professionalism with a wonderful sense of humor, warm energy, and grace, and we are immensely thankful for the resulting photos! They're true works of art.

and his fabulous reviews. The reality was even better than I could have expected. During planning Jeffrey was easy to work with, quick to respond, and full of knowledge. We did an engagement session, and although we aren’t the most comfortable people in front of a camera by nature, he put us at ease and made it such a blast for us. The photos came out beautiful and one of a kind! On our wedding day, he was so kind and professional, and helped us create beautiful moments. He has a way of keeping a chaotic group on track in the nicest way, and I know my friends and family enjoyed working with him. And then….photos! We had a preview on instagram the day after our wedding, and our full library was ready in a couple weeks! And more important than speed, the photos were just so beautiful, artistic and unique. JLB captured our day perfectly, and I highly recommend hiring him!

nd your work is matched by your wonderful personality. I’ve been a fashion and commercial photographer for over 32 years and, like you, I too was a graphic designer prior to becoming a photographer. In that time, I’ve met countless photographers from all over the world and the U.S., and I can honestly say that it was rare to find a fellow photographer like you. Not only are you a master in our field, but your passion, enthusiasm, creativity and energy (even your smile) clearly shows that shooting isn’t just a job for you. I can tell that you have much love for all that you do; a very rare find. You’ve gone beyond all expectations. It was nice being in front of the camera for a change, and it was a pleasure knowing that the camera was yours. Thanks again for being in love with creating and thanks for your awesome personality and professionalism that came with it. Jun Pino Photographer

un to work with. We are absolutely thrilled with how all of our photos turned out. He has a very quick turn around time with the photos & gifs as well, which is nice. We hired him for both our engagement photos and wedding photos, and we could not be happier. We have gorgeous pieces of art to cherish forever and are so thankful to JLB!

to work with and I encourage any couple to use JLB for their wedding needs. He is an incredible artist with high standards of his craft - which are clear through his breathtaking photos. He captured my husband and I perfectly on our wedding day and we are so thrilled to hang the beautiful photos in our home! You will be SO happy you used JLB!

easy task!) and above all, is extremely talented at both the art of photography and design. We chose to do a "reveal" prior to the ceremony and spent 2 hours with JLB on creative shots - which turned out to be my favorite part of the entire day! Sometimes, I think the magic of being married gets lost in the actual agenda of the day, but spending those hours together, traveling around the city taking photos as a couple before the ceremony started felt like someone pushed "pause" on the day, and allowed us to enjoy it--and that experience was because of JLB photography. Jeff is fun, very personable, responsive to questions (okay fine, a lot of questions), and a delight to work with. Quite honestly, it was an honor to be a subject in his work. I am so grateful to have been able to work with JLB Photography. If you want to be able to look back on your day and smile in remembrance of how it was actually FUN, as well as look back on some remarkable photos- this is the photographer for you.

ired and followed his work for years. It was also important for us to work with a photographer who supports the LGBTQ+ community. So, when we got engaged he was the first person we called. We immediately clicked and knew it was meant to be. Every consultation, chat, video call, JLB just knew our vibe and what we were looking for and we trusted him completely. He knew what was important to us. Our journey around Detroit with our wedding party was a dream. He took us to interesting and beautiful places and it was such a cool experience. The GIFS he made! He captured every detail, every intimate moment, every smile, every tear. We even tasked him with taking large family photos after our ceremony and he did not bat an eye! The day of the wedding can always be chaotic. JLB was very patient and even set a great tone that made us feel less nervous about the days events. He was so synchronized with our other vendors and had his vision already planned. That helped us enjoy the day even more. We were in good hands that day! It was so seamless. Our family and friends loved working with him as well. He made everyone laugh and feel comfortable at every moment. He gets people and captured some amazing photos. A real gem to work with! 10/10 would ALWAYS recommend!

he has many years of experience in the industry. We let Jeffrey make the decisions on shots, locations, etc. and we are so glad we did. He is an artist and captured our wedding so beautifully. My husband and I were not super comfortable in front of the camera and he gave us the confidence and direction that we needed for GREAT photos! My bridal party, family, and wedding guests were all raving about how excellent he was. He grabbed photos whenever my guests asked, but was unnoticeable when he needed to be for special moments. I love that he created GIFs to bring life to our photos-- it is so unique and such a cool way to remember the day. Thank you Jeffrey!!

ng a wedding!

ing personality and incredible professionalism. He is a true artist and creates MAGIC. We were completely blown away with the experience he created for us and the final products. Jeffrey should be every couples first choice!

tallented and the shots he takes is truely magnificent. Very punctual and professional. Highly recommended.

was a perfect fit! He is so incredibly talented and went above and beyond the day of the wedding. One of the groomsmen did not have the suspenders he needed for the ceremony and without being asked or prompted Jeff said “I’m on it“ and went to see what was going on. We do not like stuffy wedding photos and knew we didn’t want it to be difficult for the bridal party. We’ve both been in weddings where the picture took hours and we didn’t want anyone to miss out! Jeff made it easy and knew exactly what to do and how to place our bridal party of 18 people. Gathering a large group like that can be like herding cattle, but Jeff didn’t even bat an eye. We even did an impromptu 40+ person family photo and Jeff was such a pro, knew exactly where to place everyone and what to do. The wedding photos are works of art and if you can get him to capture your wedding day, you will not regret it! He’s responsive and recommends shots that you may not have thought of. He came up to me at one point and said “I think you need to get this picture with your brother” and I’m just so grateful for that. He just knows what he’s doing and he really seems to enjoy it. I can’t recommend him enough!

nd Jeffrey was a part of the vendor team. I can’t thank him enough for effectively ensuring the group was staying on track all day and posting sneak peek photos the very next morning. He produces high-quality images and is extremely professional in how he goes about achieving those. I hope to work with Jeffrey again in the near future!

wanted photos that were MORE. And boy did JLB deliver! The photos are beautiful, genuine, and artistic. Not only is his work incredible, but his professionalism, good humor, and compassion were a step above. He worked with us through all the pandemic planning cancellations with care and grace.

an incredibly talented artist and also just a really down to earth, great person. Getting to spend our day with him was so fun and he really helped to give us our dream wedding. From the original meeting to the engagement photos, wedding day, album, and photo gallery, the whole process was very easy. He is very professional, organized and clear about what to expect. It was important to us to have some photos with our dogs as well and he is very obviously a dog person. Even our more skittish pup warmed to him quickly for the engagement photos and remembered him right away on the day of the wedding. I was a little nervous having my photo taken but he made me feel at ease and taught us how to get the most out of our photos. They really are absolutely stunning and turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Our family and friends are also astounded by his work. Jeffrey is one of the most talented individuals I have ever worked with. He clearly loves what he does and this will be reflected in all of the memories he captures on your special day. And if you decide to work with him, the other piece of advice I would offer is to trust him completely. He knows what he is doing and you will not regret it. I sincerely hope to have another opportunity to work with him some day. Thank you Jeffrey for the incredible memories!

es above others. He was patient when we had to postpone for COVID and worked with us to ensure our day would happen exactly as we wanted. During our engagement session he went above and beyond to get the shot. We walked for what seemed like miles around Blakes and he made it seem like we went to multiples places when we didn't. He wasn't afraid to get dirty to shoot the perfect angle with the light just right. Something as simple as a pick up truck made for one of our favorite photos. Following our session my hubby said he was glad I fought for him as he was going to be 100% worth every penny! Coming from a large loud family, he knew exactly when to be loud and pushy but stay organized to make sure each important member was a part of the day. He was perfect to see him interact with my grandma and ensure our important guests were really featured. I was able to email him with questions and would have a quick response. Our teaser photos and GIFs were amazing and built great anticipation for the full galleries. When describing the final images of our wedding I become speechless other than "let me show you this picture, and this picture and this picture!" He was able to get so many amazing shots that I didn't even realize. I was able to relive the day through his photography. I am an event planner by trade and I tossed so many things to him and the longest list of important people and things to capture and he went above and beyond with all of it. Seeing him get really excited and jump up on down shouting "that's the money shot" made me so excited. As photos we will have for the rest of our lives, I am so happy to selected JLB to capture the moments and memories. Thank you Jeffrey!

g our planning process. On-site he was prepared, thoughtful, and flexible. Our venue was the Felt and it was the first time JLB shot there, but he knew exactly what we needed to do for the perfect wedding photos. The 24 hour turnaround for highlights made such an impact. His photos are impeccable. We love all the photos and he made even the most standard wedding shot unique and professional. I have gotten so many compliments on our wedding photos. Already multiple of my friends are looking at him for their weddings. Hire him before he books up because he will!

k is amazing. I was obsessed with my photos when he released the teasers and even more amazed looking at the entire album. All of our friends and family are also obsessed with our photos! The way he delivers his photos is incredible as well, with a few print outs, a photobook, and a USB holder with photos on it, it goes above and beyond what I anticipated. We are just so happy with choosing him and would recommend him to anyone out there looking. Plus, the GIFs! How cool!! He also rescheduled once with us due to covid, which was so nice and helpful when it was such a stressful experience. He is very responsive and is willing to help in anyway possible.

but he is the nicest person. If you're considering Jeff, go for it, he's the best in the area and we were so lucky to have him photograph our wedding day.

d the day with. The photo's he was able to capture with his keen eye were the most unbelievable moments, truly depicting the joy and fun of the day. I feel lucky to have had such an amazing photographer, and person, a part of our big day.
