JMC Events

We used JMC events for our wedding and I'm so glad we did! Joe was our DJ and he did a phenomenal job. He kept everyone, both young and old, dancing and having a great time. We had a very tight timeline for the reception and he kept everything on schedule with the first dance, father/daughter dance, cake cutting, toasts, etc. The wedding concluded exactly on time which was crucial to the event and our budget. Joe and his wife Mandilee were so easy to work with. They were both very attentive to our emails and questions and kept us on track throughout the planning process. We also used their uplighting services and the room looked fantastic. I'm so glad we added their uplighting services. Thank you again Joe and JMC events for making our wedding so very amazing!

Joe and JMC Events were fantastic! Super easy to work with, LGBT friendly vendor, quick to respond to questions, great service! DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER FOR A DJ SERVICE! JMC IS THE ONE YOU WANT!!!! Joe was our dj and if it wasn't for him, our wedding would not have been so perfect! All throughout the night people were coming up to us telling us how amazing the playlist was (months after and they're still telling us). People were ALWAYS dancing. He knew exactly the kind of feel we were going for. Joe did everything we wanted and more! The day of the wedding I felt like a big part of the reason why everything went according to plan was because of Joe. He communicated with all the vendors and everything went smoothly. My wife and I were blessed to have picked JMC events to DJ our wedding. We were so impressed with our consultation that we didn't even need to speak with a second DJ. We were lucky enough to have Joe help with our special day. Even with a lot of our special requests Joe was able to make it happen. The whole wedding went on without a hitch. Joe was the DJ for my wedding on January 3, 2015 in San Diego and he did an excellent job in every single aspect of the night. We had Joe do the music for our ceremony as well as our reception and everything went perfectly at both. He was able to get literally everyone out on our dance floor which was shocking to me since my mother previously stated she refused to dance at all! We told Joe a few songs that we wanted him play and gave him an idea of the artists/style of music we wanted played at the reception and he took it and ran with it. There wasn't a single song played that we didn't love to listen to, and everyone enjoyed the dance floor all night long. We also had a custom monogram on our dance floor for the night which was a perfect touch and looked absolutely amazing in person as well as in pictures. JMC Events is definitely the DJ to go with and if I ever needed a DJ again I would not hesitate one bit in contacting Joe again! AMAZING DJ and COMPANY! We had Joe as our DJ for our New Year's Eve wedding. He was GREAT! My sister got married a year and a half ago and her DJ was not good, so that, combined with the fact that our reception was literally going to be a NYE party, he had his work cut out for him. We threw so many curve balls at this guy and he took every one in stride...let me give you some examples. My dad doesn't dance and only likes country music. I forgot to tell Joe ahead of time that his favorite song is Garth Brooks, friends in low places. I ran to joe while Hank Williams Jr., "Family Tradition" was playing, (yes,my family comes from the CounTry :p) and asked him to play some Garth. He basically thought I was going to clear the floor with all the old school country, but I told him to trust me...and he did...it was a break through! And the dance floor was never empty after that! haha. Then, my mother had a request...The Wobble! WTF?! I had no clue what she was talking about, but it was her only request of the night (She teaches pop dance to her phys-ed classes), so off to Joe I went. Next song up...none other than the Wobble! This man knows no bounds. (And probably thinks we're crazy ;) Another random request...my husband requested Big Pun, Playa no more...so classy. Joe met and exceeded every expectation! From planning to execution, he did sound for our ceremony, uplighting for the reception and DJ'd. We had numerous guests tell us it was there favorite wedding they'd been to!! I wish I could give Adam 100 stars! He was so amazing! We hired JMC to DJ our wedding on 11/1/14. I had initially met Mike at one of the Bridal Bazaars and inquired about his availability for our date. Since he was already booked, they put me in contact with Adam, and it was a perfect match! My husband and I met with him a couple of times before the big day and he always made us feel so comfortable. I was really nervous about hiring the wrong DJ since they are literally the host to your party, but I couldn't be happier with the job Adam did for us. We had around 225 guest and ALL of them were at the dance floor at some point or another - even my 95 year old grandmother! He was classy, funny, and helpful - he even kept his cool when it started pouring rain and his equipment was getting wet. I want to throw a party every year on our anniversary and hire Adam to DJ it because I know that it was thanks to him that so many of our friends and family have told us ours was the best wedding they have ever been to! Thank you, Adam and JMC!

For our one year vow renewal/wedding we booked JMC Events for music and lighting. We directly worked with DJ Mike Lim and he was awesome. From the moment we met him both my husband and I felt like he was a perfect match for us. He was very friendly, warm, and had a great sense of music for our event. On the day of our event he kept the party rocking by playing music that kept both the old and young on the dance floor. The lighting for our event space was perfect as well as the volume of the music. We received lots of compliments and lot of it is due to Mike! Thanks again!

We used JMC for market lights and had Mike Lim as our DJ. Mike was great! He knew what music to play in every situation which kept the party going and he did not talk too much like some DJs do.

Joe was the DJ for our wedding and he exceeded our expectations! Music was a big decision for us and he nailed it. The dance floor was packed the whole time! Joe went out of his way to make sure everything went perfectly. He also gave us a mix of the music played at our wedding which we dance to all the time. You've all heard the crazy stories about how on the day of your wedding one of your vendors doesn't deliver? Well, this is not the case for DJ Mada. How amazing is it when you can flawlessly keep things moving when your mixing board blows. That's right, professionalism, you get a replacement delivered immediately and no one even knows there was a glitch. The DJ runs the night according to the schedule of events which is a very tight schedule if you want to enjoy some dancing while tossing your bouquet, ditching the garter etc. Adam made our evening flow with perfection from announcements, speeches and keeping the dance floor moving all night. JMC Events was affordable, professional and Adam was amazing. I can't wait for him to spin some tunes for us again in the near future. Thank you for making our evening amazing!

DJ Adam from JMC Events was the DJ for my friend's wedding. While that wedding reception was shorter than most I thought he did a great job keeping the flow of the wedding going. When I saw him at her wedding, I was in the beginning stages of wedding planning myself. Also at her wedding was 321 Smile photobooth and Paul, the owner, was telling me that he highly recommended JMC Events and DJ Adam. My friend is very opinionated and was not happy with a lot of her vendors but she loved 321 Smile and JMC Events (DJ Adam). So, I booked both vendors for my own wedding. My husband and I met with DJ Adam twice before the wedding. He had a lot of great ideas for music selection which was so helpful because while my husband and I aren't picky we also wanted to make sure the music reflected us and there are just way too many choices out there. We asked for a song to be tweaked for the ceremony so it just looped the chorus and he was able to do that for us very easily. He played a lot of fun dance music that kept everyone dancing until we got shut down. He was very good about accommodating requests, as well. DJ Adam is not a corny music Emcee... he's a great choice if you want a DJ who will keep the flow of the wedding going without trying to put on a show of his own. My friends have all commented on how much they liked our vendors... specifically mentioning DJ Adam. I feel like the DJ was a success! Not to mention the prices were really reasonable.

For me, the DJ is in the top 3 of most important vendors for your wedding. Also, choosing a DJ was by far the most nerve racking part of selecting vendors for our wedding. After interviewing many (which I do suggest) JMC was referred to us by our photographer. We knew right after meeting Joe we would be going with JMC!. He actually listened to what we wanted and helped us with timelines, etc. had great suggestions. I can tell you what JMC is NOT... is a bunch of DJ's who happen to do weddings or events on the side. What they ARE, is very professional and they really know how to make the entire process and entire wedding flow. Our wedding was at La Jolla Woman's Club. Joe and Aaron made sure the music was perfect and everyone was having a great time on the dance floor. They certainly go beyond just music which was awesome. They worked with all the other vendors which made for a stress free fun wedding. They handled our introductions very professionally, each segue way was a smooth transition, made sure events/people etc were on time, fantastic lighting and did a great job on sound for our reception as well. Another wedding professional recommending JMC events for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions I made. After interviewing three other DJs, I immediately loved Joe of JMC and booked him on the spot. Joe Comstock with JMC Events is an outstanding professional and DJ. He really takes to heart the personalities of his clients and incorporates a music playlist that symbolizes who the couple really is, without having to pick out every song. Our wedding was a 6 hour constant party, with the most people on the dance floor at a wedding that I have ever seen. This is because of Joe and his sidekick on the amazing saxophone, Rocky. We had many guest compliments on how outstanding our DJ was and that they had never had so much fun at a wedding. I used them based on my wedding planner. I had Adam as our DJ. He was fantastic, so personable and fun! He met with us initially to discuss what we wanted and also a week before the wedding. He was always accessible by email and phone. The whole company is very professional and exceeded my standards. My guests and family said the music played before the wedding was very nice as we did not go with traditional wedding music. As our reception venue was based on a limited time, he could not play every song we wanted. He played to the crowd to have them dance. Even my in-laws were dancing. My husband and I were shocked..They loved the music and Adam!! If you are looking for a DJ, they are a must. Their prices are reasonable and they provide excellent service! Joe has done several of our friends weddings and we loved that he was able to do ours. Joe did the best job. We were not able to have a rehearsal and he totally helped us figure out how to run the ceremony and keep the bride hidden in a not so easy area. Our wedding ran so smoothly because of him and he kept the party rockin'. We will use Joe for all of our events in the future. We love him!

BEST DJ EVER! We hired Joe for our wedding at the Soledad Club and he was AMAZING! Our wedding was over a month ago now, and people are still talking about how amazing the music was and how great the DJ was! The DJ was a major decision for our wedding because we love to dance, and so do our friends – so we wanted someone who understood how to get a party started and keep it going! Joe was FANTASTIC! He worked with the crowd, mixed things up, and understood how to make a crowd super happy! He had everyone on the dance floor – all ages and all different music fans! We also have to include that he is extremely professional and super nice. We enjoyed meeting with him and going over all of our music choices – he was so fun to work with and had some GREAT ideas to get our dance party started. Joe went above and beyond for us – he was a STRESS FREE vendor – he met with us on multiple occasions, and he always answered my emails quickly. Besides being amazing with the reception music he also made our wedding ceremony work with being outside – he set up a great sound system for our live music. He also worked with my sister in making her speech epic (as she sang us a song), and also helped my husband set up the slide show. In addition to ALL of the music and sound he also created a romantic look at the Soledad Club (hard to do) with beautiful up lighting. Joe we cant thank you enough for all of your hard work in making our day so special – we have AMAZING memories (and pictures) of our day because of you!

Joe Comstock, AKA DJ Average Joe, of JMC Events is the only DJ I had to interview for the job. From my first impression, I knew he was a genuinely nice guy. My husband and I have a kind of eclectic taste in music, much of which isn't really...danceable. But Joe Comstock took our list and found creative ways to work our songs and musical taste into the reception. He is a class act, knows what people like, knows how to make your own style come through, and is laid back and cool - not pushy at all. My family and I are so happy with the job he did at my reception, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! I would hire him again without thinking twice if I ever needed a DJ again.

I work as a wedding photographer in San Diego and when it came time for me to tie the knot with my beautiful wife I immediately turned to JMC Events for my DJ needs. Joe is just an all around good guy. I love working at weddings with him and he did an amazing job at our wedding. There were no dead moments once the dance floor opened. So I dated a DJ for a long while before meeting my hubbs. This turned me into a total DJ snob. The selection, mixes, length of songs etc are all very important to me. This sounds nuts, but after just meeting Joe without hearing him spin, I knew he would be perfect. I wanted a crowd pleasing event that reflected our personalities and taste. Joe nailed it. Not to mention, the uplighting and GOBO were exactly what I pictured. I have had many of my guests report back that they loved what Joe played. All this and he was fair in pricing as well. After how great he did, he was more than a fair price, I got a steal! Book without hesitation.

Mandilee was wonderful the day of the wedding! She and her husband (DJ)are a perfect team.;They use to work with another wedding planner that we found to be unnecessary and unprofessional. She was not helpful the months before the wedding or the day of the event. If you have the option, choose to work only with Mandilee.
