If I could give this group more than 5 stars, I would. The Red Letter Players played at my wedding this past summer and were beyond amazing. The owner, Maylynda, was amazing to work with and made all of my wishes come true. The dance floor was packed the entire evening and the quality of the performance was impeccable. I highly recommend this group for any event!!

The Red Letter Players of JMV Entertainment recently performed at my daughter’s wedding. The wedding had been delayed from the previous year due to COVID. During that time Maylynda, the owner, stayed in touch and reassured me. When I finally met her at a site visit, she was warm, professional and assured me that the music will make the event fun and spectacular. She did not exaggerate. Two weeks before the event, I was informed that the female vocalist I had chosen was pregnant and considering COVID, was not comfortable attending a large event. Maylynda offered me 2 choices (including herself) and then offered me an additional vocalist at no charge. I listened to some links and chose Maylynda. The band and vocalists were awesome performing with beautiful, strong voices, energy and style. I highly recommend Maylynda and the other two vocalists: Malcolm and Aaron. Aaron was the surprise as he was added at the last minute. Gorgeous voice! JMV also provided a huge songlist from which to make selections and they were open to learn songs not on the list. Many of the songs we chose were performed at least as good as the original recordings. JMV Entertainment was easy to work with and provided an exceptional musical experience. There was dancing all evening and so many people commented on how great the band was. In addition to the quality of their performances, band members and vocalist looked sharp and professional. I also appreciated the value. At this level, they were not the cheapest band I considered but neither did they approach many that were significantly more expensive. Without any hesitation, I highly recommend this group for any significant event.

Working with JMV was fantastic from start to finish. Malynda is professional, knowledgable and accommodating. I work with a lot of musicians and the musicians at JMV are the best of the best. I will keep going back for entertainment for all of my events!

This band is amazing. I was a guest and had to review them. I was so impressed with how they transitioned from one song to the next. The vocalists were unbelievable and I just could not recommend them enough. Definitely will hire them for my wedding or any party I have.

JMV Entertainment provided the best band ever to our wedding! We ended up going with the Red Letter Players, who were professional, amazing in performance and definitely rocked the house! We got so many compliments on the music at our wedding and would definitely consider using them again for future events. If you're looking for a kickass band to liven things up, lots of fun music and people that are responsive, professional and helpful during the (at times) madness that can be wedding planning, you've come to the right place. JMV Entertainment was truly fantastic. This band is versatile, and incredibly talented. We wanted a band that could play several different styles of music, while having the chops to effectively own the room and keep the party going - JMV easily delivered, and I’ve never danced so much. The band is easy to work with, and they will make your event so fun!

These musicians are SO talented! JMV provided us with a string duo for our ceremony and a 7-piece band for our reception, and they were all absolutely amazing! Communication was a bit uneven between us and the coordinator, but it all worked out in the end and the music was wonderful. I’ll never regret hiring a big live band over a DJ - it really turned the reception into a party!

JMV was amazing! The Red Letter Players played at our wedding and they were hands down the highlight of the night! JMV handled the ceremony, cocktail hour, and even emceed. Malynda dealt with all my questions and communicated with me throughout the process. They were so professional and entertaining. EVERYONE loved them! Our wedding was even more perfect because of the band!!

JMV was seriously the best band, I would highly recommend them! We absolutely loved every song they played and had a full dance floor the whole time. Every member of the band was so talented and both the singers were so fun and energetic during their sets. Make sure you plan enough dance time for your wedding when you hire JMV because you will want them playing as long as possible! They were so so fun, I would hire them again in an instant!! Everybody RAVED about this band. Look no further, and hire JMV for your wedding or event. Music was the single most important aspect of our wedding, working in entertainment and music ourselves. We spent months interviewing and perusing bands to find the best group of musicians. And we sure found them! JMV / Red Letter Players floored everybody with their performance. We hired a ten piece band (four vocalists, two horns, and the core-four rock instruments), and they had everyone on the dance floor as soon as our grand entrance and first dance ended, and our guests were on their feet through the very last encore. They are a wildly talented group of young, attractive, and energetic vocalists and musicians. Each and every one of them is a star. Now the one thing that people don't tell you when you're planning a wedding (but should) is how non-responsive, disorganized, and unprofessional vendors can be. Let's face it, there isn't much repeat business in this industry! So vendors think - why care about customer service? And certainly why would anyone bother to go the extra mile for inquiring clients? This was exactly the issue we had when interviewing overpriced groups (like West Coast Music), who could quite honestly care less about your wedding, or you as an individual, and clearly only about their bottom line. That is not at all the case with Malynda Hale and JMV. Malynda was honestly the single most professional, kindest, and organized vendor we dealt with throughout the entire wedding planning process. She was sure to answer every question we had in a timely manner, was open to every musical idea and direction we'd planned for our day, graciously worked with our budget, and was incredibly accommodating and user-friendly to our venue and the rest of our vendor team. I cannot say enough great things about Malynda. She is truly a class act, warm, big hearted, and a spirited entrepreneur. Malynda made the entire process leading up to our wedding fun and enjoyable, and worked hard to ensure we were getting our dream band.

I can't say enough about the Red Letter Players! We had a 600+ guest wedding and they knew exactly how to accommodate for us. Everyone was raving about their performance and I'm still getting inquiries about them! We had a 6 piece band which included 2 vocalists. Everything sounded so good and really set the vibe for the entire night. Malynda is super easy to work with and you can tell she is very experienced. Great value, great performance, great sound system, very professional - I couldn't have asked for more!

The red letter players played at our wedding on 4/1/2017 in Palm Springs and were amazing! Malynda and her band were so easy to work with and extremely reasonably priced compared to their competition. She worked with me through selection of lead singers and she was the female vocalist on our wedding day - extremely talented all around. We had an acoustic guitarist play for the ceremony who performed the exact versions of the song we requested. We had an 8 piece band (the usual 6 plus 2 horns) play for the reception, and they killed it! People couldn't stop talking about the band all night and into the next day. Thanks so much for the amazing music and energy on our wedding day, Malynda and team. We can't wait to refer you for other parties in SoCal!!

This band made our night not only do they sound amazing but they get everyone involved. We had the best wedding ever thanks to them. Can't say enough great things they were perfect

I cannot recommend this band more. They are downright unbelievable, and quite frankly, the Red Letter Players are a band you would pay to see. They are not your average wedding band, but are incredibly talented musicians who happen to play weddings. Malynda is so easy to work with, so professional, and so talented - as is each piece of the band (5 instruments and 2 vocalists at our wedding). We started with an acoustic set for our cocktail hour with Malynda and a guitarist, before the full band played the entire night. Our first dance was a Miles Davis song, and could not have been performed more perfectly. Malynda worked with our budget and even did walk throughs with my wife in our space. They had people on the dance floor before the floor had officially opened up, and our guests were blown away with the quality. They even had a great Spotify playlist for when they took breaks to keep things going. Malynda is a great MC as well, and directed our whole night. Do not get a DJ for your big day, and stop searching. This band is everything you could want and more. Seriously - book this band.

The band did an amazing job at our wedding! The best part for me, as the bride, was that they were so easy to work with. I didn't have a wedding planner so I worked directly with the band (Malynda), and she was so responsive, and they made it very easy to view videos of their band, work with them on song lists, do a walk through, etc.

We were so fortunate to have Malynda Hale of the Red Letter Players sing at our wedding! The music was beyond amazing and her singing had everyone drying their eyes. I am so grateful that we worked with them and could not have been any happier! Thank you Malynda and I am excited to see big things from the Red Letter Players!

We looked at a few wedding bands before going with the the Red Letter Players and I'm SO glad we did. Best wedding band I've seen!! They made our reception go so smoothly and had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves. Highly, highly recommend!!

I always dreamed of having a live band play at my wedding. After auditioning several bands, I am so happy to have The Red Letter Players make that dream a reality. This fall I will be marrying the love of my life and then we will be getting down on the dance floor to the eclectic sounds of this band. This band was recommended to me by a friend of mine and I am so glad I listened. I love The Red Letter Players because they can play anything! They will be playing everything from Jazz to Rock at my wedding reception. If you want professionalism and top performance quality for your wedding, then I highly recommend The Red Letter Players!
