g the feel of a wedding takes time - wedding 1: Joanne listened, reviewed selections, made recommendations, shared pictures, and her professional experience to continue to articulate our "vibe" for the day. Changes happened - for example, the bride feeling more "dried flower" preferences than all live flowers - 3 weeks before the wedding - Joanne understood immediately what my daughter was working toward - and delivered a wonderful "a-ha" moment when we saw her creations delivering an amazing combination of WOW! Wedding 2 - things happened fast with new preferences coming each day from the bride it seemed - once again - the subdued, subtle, relaxed but definitely celebratory and gorgeous feel was achieved because of the flowers adding the pop in exactly the way that was needed for a "simple and elegant" wedding (is there such a thing as "simple wedding"). Joanne had little specific direction from us - very broad mood descriptions, some floral selections that were "No" - otherwise we depended on her to deliver our description of the day. In a panic (96 hours out), I requested her feedback on what color water glass to put on our tables to complement the centerpiece swag/candle holders/candles that she was providing - doesn't sound like a big deal, but it was at the time - and her guidance was quick and certain (why aren't all wedding vendors like this?). Aside from the amazing floral creations, working with Joanne was truly a bright light - her breadth of experience, her candor, and her attentive ear in gleaning what is needed to create the "vision" - cannot be identified in a vendor until you work with them and I can say emphatically, you will be in the best hands on all levels when working with Joanne.

lowed by a brief ceremony in the backyard of my in-laws' home, which was where we also had the reception, backyard tent-style. Joanne worked with me in the months before, drawing up plans that captured the simple and elegant floral arrangements in my head, despite my poor floral-communication skills (I knew exceedingly little about flowers and Joanne was super lovely and patient with me). She was super attentive in the weeks before the wedding, going over all of the details, and I knew I was in excellent hands. The day of, she perfectly coordinated the right arrangements to go to the church, and to the back garden and tent, and everything was just perfect--better than we had dreamed! In addition to the beauty of her arrangements, their longevity was a pleasant added bonus, and, as we had a house full of family for the whole week after the wedding, we were very happy to be able to continue having her beautiful arrangements on display! Even after, we have kept several, drying them and saving them as the gorgeous tokens of the wonderful day! Absolutely recommend Joanne, she gave us 150% and was an absolute joy to work with the whole time!

I did want more than normal. However, I was a bit disappointed in my card table when I added some flowers to the package and paid a pretty penny for it seemed to be lacking in the garland that I had pictures and asked to be replicated from my entrance table as well as our sweetheart table. Overall though the flowers and girls bouquets were amazing. Joanne is quit busy and can take sometime to get back to you, just a fair warning. I am one to want to be answered fairly quickly just due to my job so this was a bit frustrating. Overall though I loved working with Joanne as she did have great suggestions for me who had not a single clue of what I wanted for my wedding. I do recommend working with her as she did a great job!

That being said though, my vision for what I wanted didn't fully come to fruition - I had asked for certain flowers after researching and collecting various pictures I liked (trailing ivy, relatively sizable bouquet, etc.). I trusted she would pull through, and both my flowers and my bridesmaids flowers were just okay. I actually had to take the trailing ivy out once I was handed my bouquet because I didn't like the look at all. My bridesmaids flowers were also simple and small and weren't anything spectacular. There was also a miscommunication between our venue and JN Floral Design about the timing of the greenery for the napkins to arrive, so 1) the greenery was just thrown in there and 2) the greenery was just not what I envisioned and looked a little tacky. All in all, everything (aside from the napkin greenery) was delivered on time which was most important to me, and we had flowers on our special day, which was better than no flowers at all.
