An awesome duo! Not only were Justin and Sarah a pleasure to have around with us on our wedding day but the photos they took are incredible and captured our day perfectly. I could not be happier with the preview photos we received and looking forward to the rest that are coming, I’m sure they’re all going to be awesome. The booking process was so easy and went very smoothly, we sent a request on The Knot and Justin responded right away asking to set up a zoom meeting. Meeting went super well, love Justin’s personality, we knew we found our perfect match. They even offer as part of their packages a complimentary engagement shoot to get to know them better and you feel more relaxed with them at the wedding. Our Engagement pictures came out so good, we met up with Justin in Auburn at the confluence and took pictures by the river and Foresthill Bridge. Justin was so knowledgeable about where the best places to go and stand and he really has an eye for perfect lighting. Wedding day also went smoothly and perfectly, we had a final meeting a week before to go over must shot lists and Justin had a perfect form to fill out so he was well prepared and wouldn’t miss anything. Wedding day came and Justin and Sarah came right on time and started shooting detail shots and us getting ready. They also helped us find the perfect spot for our first look and helped capture and coordinate that perfect moment. For the ceremony and reception I saw Justin and Sarah all around capturing the best moments. We took sunset photos down by the lake at our venue and again Justin knew the perfect place to go and stand for perfect lighting. He also helped us get pictures with each table at the wedding. Justin and Sarah were so wonderful to work with! They were very responsive throughout the entire process. My fiance and I live in GA, so all the way across the country from CA, and we felt confident the entire time that we made the right choice! My husband and I used Justin and Sarah as our photographers for our May 2022 wedding at a private family vineyard in Placerville, CA. Just from the first time we met Justin via video call, we found him to be prepared, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with! The engagement shoot was a nice bonus. We got to meet the wonderful husband-wife duo in person . I was super nervous because we aren't usually in front of the camera, but they made us feel very comfortable to be ourselves. They made the afternoon feel fun and lighthearted while being a ton of fun to hangout with! A month before our wedding day, they visited our venue. It's a private family vineyard that doesn't host events. They scoped out the area so they would be know where to shoot on our wedding day. When the big day came, Justin and Sarah were super organized. They kept on time and helped lead our videographers. They were very professional and friendly capturing all the candid beautiful moments of the night. The photos were unbelievably beautiful and made us feel like we were models in a magazine. Justin and Sarah were able to capture personal moments like my husband's grandfather giving and impromptu speech as well as classic posed shots with an incredibly artistry. I could not more highly recommend them! If you are considering hiring a photographer, they should be at the top of your list.

Justin and Sarah were the PERFECT photographers for us and our wedding. We vibed right away over our initial Zoom meeting from Justin's professional yet relaxed demeanor. We would highly recommend doing an engagement shoot with Justin and Sarah to get to know each other and get some amazing shots that you will love (and not in your wedding attire). I was a bit high strung the morning of my wedding, since smoke from summer wild fires had rolled in the day before the wedding. But as soon as I left the salon, and got in the car with them to head to the first look, I felt so much lighter and happier. They felt like friends that were such an integral and intimate part of our wedding day. Our parents were in awe of the shots that they were getting throughout the wedding day; getting some really fun perspectives of the ambiance. Edits took a couple weeks longer than expected, but they were truly worth the wait. We wish Justin and Sarah all the success and highly recommend them to anyone in the Nor Cal area.

Justin and Sarah surpassed all of our expectations as our wedding photographers. Starting with the engagement shoot, they helped us find our own style and made the experience fun all while getting awesome shots. They easily handled a last minute location change because of the summer wildfires—salvaging the engagement shoot. On our wedding day, Justin and team did a great job keeping things light and fun while staying focused on getting a great variety of shots. True hidden gems these guys! Honestly gravitated towards JO initially because their photographer/ videographer pricing was the most competitive, but after meeting all these fun loving ninjas (seriously didn't know they were there unless they spoke and made a point of it--so covert and such amazing shots!) we feel endlessly blessed to have their insanely talented, thoughtful, extremely well put together work for us! From the get go their communication was transparent, frequent (as needed), and so friendly! We truly feel our friends did this service for us--new friends! When your photographer asks to kick up some dust for a spontaneous flare to a photo (it truly looked epic), you can tell you're in the presence not just of a professional, but of an artist. The whole team--true artists. Not only is their quality amazing, but they showed us how to narrate our style (when we had absolutely no idea what to ask for). They asked great, detailed questions that allowed us to narrow down what we wanted in this new endeavor. There's a lot of photos and videos taken in the world but what was sent to us is beyond professional-- they're breathtaking. Get em quick, and have no reservations with your decision-- you're in the best hands in the land. From the groom specifically--It goes without saying that hadn't I married my wife, Justin would have been next on my list. His poetic and thoughtful gestures revealed something inside of myself that I never thought I had. It was truly love at first shot. He is charismatic and able to capture all these hidden moments that we didn't even know existed. I will certainly use JO for my next wedding.

I can't begin to express my gratitude for finding these two. All of their 5 star reviews are definitely for a reason. Justin & Sarah were super kind, thoughtful, and very sociable people. They made us feel comfortable and natural while taking photos and were flexible with our budget. They were super understanding when we had to reschedule because of the pandemic. They are extremely good at their art and they genuinely enjoy it. They're also super timely with their turnarounds on edits, and I know how hard it is to wait for the photos, so that is just an extra cherry on top! Photography for the big day was one of my top priorities and J.O. Photography did NOT disappoint! They took the time to talk to me and learn what my vision was and what I really wanted to see out of my wedding photos and they never hesitated to answer any of our questions. They were also so thoughtful and didn’t mind coming to check the venue out a month before so they could get ideas and photo spots. Our engagement photos turned out amazing as well and they picked a great spot considering my husband and I had no idea where to go for them. We had the most wonderful experience with J.O. Photography. The team on the day of our wedding captured every detail. Honestly we had a hard time picking/narrowing down our photos for our album, frames & Instagram because all of them were so good! Very personable, friendly but most of all attentive to the details I conveyed To him. HE REALLY LISTENED‼️ Words can’t express the amazing details and how awesome this video is. Justin was amazing. I cannot believe how talented he is for what he charged and was so impressed by how accommodating and flexible he was with my entire plan. I hired him to be present (and hidden) during my surprise proposal in Yosemite, but I had to switch locations last minute for a variety of reasons outside of my control. I offered him multiple outs but he insisted he could still complete the work despite me moving the spot over 150 miles away! I cannot recommend him enough and will definitely hire him again if we end up having our wedding in northern CA.

I cannot express enough how highly I recommend Justin. I feel blessed that we found him in the first place! His use of color and composition make every shot phenomenal and frame-worthy. His disposition is very pleasant, easy going, relaxed; and he's full of good ideas for shots. We still talk about how awesome he is and how beautiful the pictures came out months after our wedding day!

My fiancé and I were hesitant to get engagement photos. We had trouble justifying the cost and were nervous about being in front of a camera. We had already booked a wedding photographer through a family friend and engagement photos were not included in our package. I reached out to Justin at J.O. Photography towards the end of September about pricing and availability for an engagement session. He was easy to get in touch with and answered all of my questions. He was able to squeeze us in that week for a session at a park near our home. He calmed all of our initial nerves and helped us warm up to the camera. We played games, told stories and laughed so hard that my face will be sore for weeks! We just received the digital images and we are SO HAPPY!! We could not be more thrilled with J.O. Photography. He is so professional, responsive and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend them to any and all who are in need of professional photography services.

My wedding had to be planned in on month for reasons out of our hands. Not only did Justin respond so fast it was extremely easy to book him, he was a breeze of calm and professionalism in a sea of insanity. I have no words to explain how perfect his work is, our venue was small and the place where the reception took place was not particularly pretty, yet he found the best spots making the place look stunning!!!!! He talks to you, gets to know you and captures what matters to you and produces nothing but the best part of real moments.

Simply fabulous! The photos are just stunning. Justin really has an eye for placement and lighting and all that amazing stuff that great photographers do. You will be very happy hiring Justin, I can promise you that! Not only is he skilled, but he really goes the extra mile. We got married on a river and to our surprise, Justin spontaneously and swiftly waded out into thigh-deep water to get the best angles!

Working with Justin was such a fantastic experience and we are so happy to have chosen him to shoot our wedding. The conversations we had leading up to the big day were professional but also comfortable. I felt he truly listened to what we wanted as opposed to treating this like “just another wedding”. During the wedding he was very patient and understanding. I was 15 minutes later than my itinerary for my photos and he was even a good sport about shooting out near our horses (one of whom was convinced Justin was hiding a carrot from him). He was very patient with my husbands ‘camera anxiety’ and my three-year-olds desire to run around instead of stand still for photos. I can’t wait to see the special moments he captured. I highly recommend him to anyone. And if there’s any other occasion in which we need to hire a photographer, we’ll be giving him a call first.

Justin was our photographer two months ago, and he was amazing!! First, we had an engagement photo shoot which really helped us all get to know each other since mushy photo taking can be kind of awkward and intimate. He was soooo amazing at making us feel comfortable. Our wedding was magical, and he took amazing shots and dealt with my semi-bratty attitude with ease when I wanted to just dance and not take pictures. He’s one of a kind with talent and personality, and I couldn't be happier to have him take our photos on the most important day of our lives!

Justin was THE perfect choice when it came to choosing a photographer! He went above and beyond our expectations and made our wedding day personal to him. He coordinated family photos perfectly and timely, not to mention he is extremely funny and easy for everyone to get along with! After our original photographer cancelled on us 20 days before our wedding, Justin came in to save the day! Our wedding was in Hawaii and we totally lucked out that Justin was going to be available to shoot the wedding. He took care of researching and finding a second shooter on the Big Island to assist him on the big day. Justin was amazing throughout the entire day, shooting my husband and his groomsmen getting ready in the morning through the end of our reception that concluded at 10 p.m. It was a long day and Justin was a trooper through it all. He also did a great job meeting with us beforehand to discuss logistics. He was even able to capture the "money shot" I wanted with my veil (I call it my "Disney princess pic.") I wholeheartedly recommend Justin for your wedding photography needs - he was spectacular through it all.
