J.O. Sundstrom Conference Center

The J.O. Sundstrom Building began its existence as a department store in the 1800s. The original owners both emigrated from Sweden. Jacob O. Sundstrom moved to Lindsborg with his dream of starting a new-concept department store, seen only in the metropolitan areas at that time. His dream came true with the store opening December 23, 1879 at the town's prime intersection. In 2011, the now city owned building, was redesigned and complete reconstruction of the building took place. The Sundstrom Conference Center opened in 2013. With over 15,000 square feet of space, the conference center boasts configurations to accommodate groups of four to 360. Situated in charming downtown Lindsborg, the Sundstrom is a perfect spot for wedding ceremony and receptions. The Banquet Hall (1st Floor) has * a built in dance floor * Audio/Visual system * a built in bar * can seat about 150-200 with a dance floor * the Banquet Hall rents at $260/hr The 2nd floor of the facility is the Dansstalle * which means “Dance Hall” in Swedish! * more open and has a hard floor allowing the dance floor to be set up anywhere in the space * seats up to 360 with space for a dance floor * the Dansstalle rents at $340/hr All venue rentals include in-stock tables and chairs. Decorate on Fridays for free. The Sundstrom has full bar capabilities on both floors. You choose your own event hours. By catering your meal from the Sundstrom’s menu of local caterers, you * have access to a full event staff to ensure your event is seamless * table linens are included for all your tables * staff will provide room set-up, tear-down and clean-up included in your cost * a self-serve drink station with coffee, water and iced tea for only $25 * you are welcome to choose the baker of your choice for your wedding cake You can bring in catering from a licensed caterer. Fees for the Facility are different from the above prices. Items that were included in the Facility fee with a catering package are not included with outside catering.
