We had tried a couple of the more expensive shops near us in Santa Monica and they were more dry and about 25% more in price. Joanie and Leigh's delivery fee was very reasonable and they even gave a discount for Calamigos. The toffee crunch filling is great! We did vanilla cake with lemon curd and berries and cream and the marble cake with salted caramel and toffee crunch. Joanie was very open to doing whatever we wanted and was easy to work with. Ultimately very happy with this choice!

fully, a friend recommended Joanie and Leigh's Cakes. From the moment we walked in the door, we got a great vibe from Joanie -- easy to talk to, work with and a cool human. Then we tasted the cakes and we were sold!!! Joanie designed an amazing, multi-tiered, multi-flavored cake that wowed our guests (and us)! She also made some great additional desserts. Unfortunately, they were so yummy that our guests devoured them before we could sample them ourselves. But we'll be sure to order cakes and pastries from these ladies again -- in fact, we've already commissioned a birthday cake from them. Highest recommendation!
