Joanie was professional, gracious, easy to work with, had excellent communication with me, and paid close attention to every specific request that was made about desired pictures. She and Kristin made a great team, doing a great job of noticing details and interacting easily with our whole wedding party. We just got our pictures back and love them! I'd highly recommend Joanie, both for the quality of her work and the pleasure of working with her!

Joanie was absolutely amazing during our wedding day! We had a unique wedding, having a traditional Christian church ceremony and then an Indian themed reception and she rolled with the punches! She was so patient with the bridal party and the family, even when everyone was trying to snap pictures with their cell phones. She was great at giving direction to all of us during the shoot. I know I am not always comfortable posing in front of a camera and I never know what to do with my hands, but Joanie made it easy! And with a smile on her face! We all had such a good time. I can't wait to see how the photo's turn out. I recommend Joanie for any kind of photo shoot you might be looking for! If you have a good relationship with your photographer, it is easier to get good pictures, and Joanie makes it easy!! Thank you so much for bringing magic to our wedding day!!

Joanie took our engagement photos. After that didn't go well and all of our photos looked the same we tried to part ways. She wouldn't let us break our contract for the April wedding (and we took pictures in september). So April came and I felt like if she knew how unhappy we were that the photos in September didn't go well she would break her back to make these photos everything I asked they be. I sent her ideas of how to pose people just so she could have something to go on. Needless to say, she took 5 min to set up 1 photo so we didn't have a lot of good photographs. Our photos are stiff and horrible for the most part. Even my bridal party was trying to help her out and she just said "oh that is a good idea: and then she didn't even listen!!!!" She didn't get a photo of my father serving us communion! She told me she didn't know it was my dad (obviously she wasn't paying attention because it was announced before he came up)!!!!! Also, She had us leave our reception early ( saying her time is up, thats fine we needed to do our leave for her) she didn't get one picture of it! and then made us re do it and it turned out horrible and fake! I would never Recommend her . Nice lady but horrible with photos at least of couples and wedding parties. The reason I chose her was because of the 5 photos i saw that were good. She never even wanted me and my husband to kiss in either photo shoot and we are getting married thats what you do! Aso we paid for a second shooter, guess what she was there but she never touched the camera! She is horrible with time management and absolutely hope she doesn't ruin anyone else's wedding by missing such special moments. It was such a disappointment and at this point there is nothing she can do or say to fix the problems she has caused. DONT USE HER FOR YOUR WEDDING!

We totally enjoyed having Joanie Clay Photography take our engagement photos!! She was amazing! She knew the perfect pose, lighting, and location to capture each moment. She was so professional and patient with us. She had a preview of some of our pictures in a matter of days. She was an absolute pleasure working with her and I can not wait to have her take our wedding pictures!
