s (all great!), I knew after the first conversation that JoAnn was the one! Her office replied quickly & I was impressed at how polished her website & materials were. We were even able to schedule a video call prior to signing the contract which was helpful in determining personality fit & professionalism. Small details, but it showed a level of pride & dedication to her artistry which completely translates into how she runs her business & how she executes her work. Her resume & clientele speaks volumes (hint: follow her on IG!) but I also really appreciated how thorough her packages are & how she's worked on women with all differing skin tones & hair textures-- something that was important to me as a WOC with a multi-ethnic family/bridal party. We booked my trial about a month before my wedding. In addition to kindly travelling to my home, she also had patience with my puppy who was underfoot for most of our time together! She listed but wasn’t afraid to also weigh in with her professional opinion, which I appreciated. She’s funny (!) but I was also pleasantly surprised at the depth of our discussions which spanned several topics & really showcased her principals & honesty, making me like her even more. The trial took slightly longer than either of us had anticipated but conversation flowed easily & time passed quickly. When done, she took several reference photos & we discussed potential tweaks to even further perfect the look on the wedding day. As the date of my wedding approached, her office emailed to check-in, a lovely surprise, given how manic those last few weeks can be! After JoAnn was able to review my timeline & needs, she so generously surprised me again: she made it possible to add an additional artist on the day-of, just so we wouldn’t be stressed or pressed for time! Both of the artists on her team were professional & kind. They even beat us to the bridal suite & were completely set up by the time we arrived that morning!! They were patient in listening & stayed flexible to accommodate touch ups & changes. I could write a complete separate review on them alone but they were fantastic. They put everyone at ease, kept them laughing & most importantly made every girl look distinctly beautiful; each look was different but perfectly suited to match their style. They felt pampered & left the chair ON TIME (!!!!) & feeling completely gorgeous. When it was my turn, I sat down, champagne in hand & let JoAnn begin her magic. I had complete confidence in her from our trials & discussions but was still absolutely blown away by my final reveal. Her work was phenomenal & exactly like I had imagined. I had requested a mid-height updo & she executed the look flawlessly: it was intricate & detailed but still soft & romantic, youthful & modern. Exactly what I wanted. My makeup was gorgeous & both hair & makeup truly lasted through night & into the next morning. JoAnn, your gift is clear & unmatched. I cannot thank you enough for helping to bring my vision to life. The experience was more than I could have imagined. er and the journey it was to get there. It felt fated. I reached out to JoAnn initially in search of a hair stylist for my wedding day, for I thought that I had already settled on a makeup artist. My best friend thankfully was able to join for the hair trial with JoAnn (post makeup trial elsewhere; trials scheduled same day). While sitting under the dryer, my best friend and I chatted, ultimately recognizing that we thought I could do slightly more “wow” makeup for a wedding day. We agreed that the makeup done elsewhere was good, but a bit too everyday of a look. It became a no brainer to tie in a makeup trial with JoAnn. When she returned to check on me under the dryer, I expressed my thoughts on the makeup. She was able to candidly opine and give a sample taste of a pivoted vision right then and there about enhancing a look for more pop yet still remaining natural. I knew I was in good hands and based upon our general conversation during the hair trial, I trusted what would be the outcome. We set up a separate full on makeup trial with a fresh face to get the full vision and all I will say is that, it is one thing to know in the room together (you with the stylist), and another when the votes randomly come in off the street. I had further conviction that JoAnn was the one for the wedding day! Her patience with me, and her consultancy were greatly appreciated during the process, and I look forward to having another chance to work with JoAnn again for other occasions!

y were they accommodating to everyone's needs, but every hair and makeup look was catered to each bridesmaid's unique style. It felt like "us." My entire bridal party and I LOVED JoAnn and her team - the conversation, the jokes, the music, the energy. It all helped calm the nerves before the big day. All my blemishes were invisible and my usual “un -curlable” hair was perfect ALL NIGHT. Not only is she an amazing and talented hair/makeup artist, but she is someone that makes you feel comfortable. I met with JoAnn for my engagement pictures, trial and wedding - and every single time, I felt like I was with an old friend. My bridal party was also SO pleased and really enjoyed her company. JoAnn is also very accommodating as when our wedding venue changed, she did not hesitate to drive to the new location, which was literally in the middle of nowhere. This woman is phenomenal ! ! !

al basket case. I had done a trial with her and she really talked over exactly what I was imagining, and was happy to roll with the changes I wanted between the trial and the wedding. She won't just do whatever you ask for, though - she knows her stuff and will definitely step in and make suggestions that you might not have considered, that will turn out even better than what you were imagining. Also, just something to note - I'm very pale and I've run into makeup artists who want to cover me with contouring and/or bronzer, both of which make me look TERRIBLE. I didn't even have to mention it to JoAnn before she said that she wasn't going to try either on me, since neither would look good on me. I immediately knew I was in good hands - JoAnn isn't the kind of makeup artist who will insist on the same looks or tricks for every person, she really works with you to make sure you look your best. She's the best.
