There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Joanna is! From the very beginning of the wedding planning process, she was super responsive, kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. As an out of town bride, I had little availability to come in for a makeup trial, but she was so flexible and accommodating with scheduling - I so appreciated this! Prior to the wedding and the makeup trial, she also did my makeup for our engagement photos and I knew immediately I couldn’t have made a better choice. Joanna is an incredibly talented makeup artist – she really makes an effort to get to know you as a person, your makeup preferences, and the style of your wedding, and then uses her expertise to create a look that truly makes you feel like your best self! I was actually really nervous about my wedding makeup because my skin is so unpredictable when it comes to breakouts/redness, but Joanna helped me feel more confident than ever on my wedding day. We (including my mom, MIL, sisters, and bridesmaids) all LOVED our makeup, and also loved that it literally lasted all night long. Between her amazing work and her calming, fun, and positive energy, she will make you look and feel your absolute best! I’ve already recommended her to three newly engaged friends and will continue to recommend her without hesitation :) She is truly the best of the best!

Having Joanna for my wedding was the one of the best recommendations I could have received! From the very start, Joanna was on top of things from scheduling to asking questions about what I wanted/needed on my wedding day. She helped to make the entire process stress free which is so important during the wedding planning process. I don’t normally wear a lot of makeup, but wanted to be a (little) bold for our big day and Joanna made me feel so comfortable with my entire face done up! The attention to detail through my trial and on the wedding day were incredible, even my bridesmaids that are already married commented on wishing they had her for their wedding parties! She helped me to feel so confident the second I got off of her chair, all through the night. Joanna took care of my entire bridal party, my mom, and the groom’s aunt and everyone was over the moon with the outcome. To have such a sweet soul getting us ready was a dream come true. I love Joanna. Can I say that about someone I've hung out with a total of...twice? Honestly, I'm sure anyone who has met her feels the same. I'll get to her work in a second, but I think it's important to note how kind and enjoyable she is to be around. Ok, the makeup. Joanna's work made such a profound impact on my day. Think about it. Months and months of planning, so much decision making, all of the anxiety leading up to the big today...but, will you feel confident and beautiful in your own skin? Joanna gifted me that feeling in such a huge way. From meeting her at the trial to the big day itself, Joanna was very in tune with the look I was going for. She made suggestions where I didn't have preferences and otherwise helped me achieve my exact vision. I think what I was most impressed with was her preparation on my wedding day. When I sat down in her chair, she had my trial photos and notes pulled up on her phone. I went from nervous to immediately at ease. She made me feel like my day was just as important to her as it was to me- and that was remarkable. When I look back at the photos from my wedding, I don't see great contouring or amazing lashes (although both were ON POINT!)...I see myself radiant, confident, and carefree...and that's because of Joanna's artistry, skill, and preparation.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joanna last June when she did my makeup for my sister in laws wedding. I booked her the next morning for my wedding (Side note, she also did my sister in laws sisters wedding) Joanna is such a delight. She came to my apartment for my trial date and helped me get ready for engagement pictures! She did such a beautiful job. I was just sad when I had to remove my makeup that evening. Joanna arrived at 7AM on the day of my wedding. Every single person LOVED her and her work. She has such a gift. Not only is she extremely talented but she is such a sweet, bubbly person. She made every single person feel and look so special. Let me tell you about my makeup on my wedding day. I cried. I danced so hard that I was covered in sweat. My makeup was on from about 11AM to 3AM before I took it off. My makeup looked just as flawless at 3AM as it did at 11AM. Only thing that needed a touch up were my lips, which Joanna had my back on! She gave me a sample so I could reapply when needed. I am so excited to see Joanna again next October because my sister booked her for her wedding!! My recommendation is to hire her as soon as you get you date secured because she books up fast! Joanna, thank you so much for all of your hard work on Saturday. As expected you nailed everyones look and made everyone feel and look so special. Choosing you was the easiest decision I made for my wedding. JoAnna was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. I was nervous about hiring a makeup artist as I have had some bad experiences in the past from being in other bridal parties (even ones with great reviews). I hired joanna as a trial to do our engagement shoot before committing to wedding. She was completely understanding and did an awesome job for the engagement, even did some light curls in my hair. My makeup looked great and I hired her right away. She is awesome to work with and day of was able to make everyone feel comfortable and beautiful. (Including my mom who never has make up done and asked a million questions during the process) My MOH even commented that her makeup was better then what was done on her own wedding day. I loved the look joanna created for me and am so glad I worked with her for my wedding. I recommend hiring her immediately.

Not only was Joanna a pleasure to work with, but her work is absolutely flawless. She did everyone's make up perfectly and to their specific taste, and after a whole night of drinking and dancing, it was still perfect. I was actually a little sad to take it all off at the end of the night.

Joanna has done my make up in two weddings when I was a bridesmaid in Chicago. Joanna is an amazing makeup artist! I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day and wish she could do my makeup everyday! Joanna was very sweet, professional and a joy to be around even at 5am in the morning. Everyone’s makeup looked absolutely gorgeous! My makeup as well as my bridesmaids and my mom's makeup lasted from 5am until we took it off at night. She made everyone feel beautiful and glamorous. Joanna is absolutely amazing! She did a phenomenal job on my make up for my wedding. I contacted her about two months before the wedding looking for a make up artist for me and some of my wedding party. She was very professional and promptly sent me the information I requested. I booked her for a bridal make up trial the day of my bachelorette party and then for myself and wedding party for the day of the wedding. I did research and she was the most impressive. She can make you look natural, sexy, and/ or glamourous. She is very reasonably priced for brides. Eyelashes and air brushing is included in the pricing. She asked me relevant questions and shared her Pinterest account with me ahead of time for ideas. She arrived early for the trial with an impressive collection of make up and brushes. She captured the look I was envisioning for the wedding, which was more natural. She then put on a little extra eye make up for the bachelorette party. She came to my hotel suite to do make up for me and the attendees the day of the wedding. She coordinated with the hair stylist in advance to come up with a schedule and they ensured we ran on time. She was very professional and personal. She's very warm. Everyone enjoyed getting to know her. She provided me a touch up kit to use throughout the day. My make up looked great and photographed very well. I highly recommend Joanna!

When I was looking for someone to do make up for my wedding, I emailed a bunch of vendors on theknot. She was one of the first people to email me back actually answering all the questions I asked including specifics such as travels fees and "hidden costs" - which there were none of course! So we set up my trial for the same day as my shower and bachelorette party, which were all in the same day. She came to my house that morning and we talked about the look I wanted and in no time, she had it done perfectly and my makeup stayed perfect the entire day and evening! After looking at those pictures I told her that I wanted my eyes a little lighter on the day of the wedding and she did exactly that. The morning of the wedding was absolutely crazy and she text me letting me know she was on her way, arrived early, and was cool, calm and collect the entire morning. My wedding party loved their make up! I just got my professional pictures back and I'm absolutely stunned at the perfection of my make up in each shot! And it stayed on perfectly all day! I highly recommend her to any bride who's looking for someone who actually listens to exactly what they want! And aside from her being an absolutely amazing makeup artist, she's also one of the sweetest, most accessible by phone and email and most professional people I worked with for my wedding. You'll love her!

I don't know where to begin except that Joanna exceeded my expectations. I've gotten my makeup done before and te artists just don't seem to listen. Before the wedding Joanna sent me a few pics just so she can get the feel of the style I wanted. When she came I told her I didn't want to look too dramatic but I wanted to stand out. Well that's exactly what she did, the make up wasn't caked on, my face looked flawless, but I also felt super sexy! Next Joanna did my mom who never wears make up. I was a bit nervous but,again, she listened to my mom's requests. Looking back at my wedding pictures, my mom is so happy she decided to do her make up. She literally looks great in very pic. I honestly couldn't have been more pleased. I highly recommend her to anyone and I will definitely be using her for my future needs. Oh, and I would also like to add that we had a beach ceremony and it wAs 95 degrees out. My hubby's shirt soaked through ( good thing we brought an extra). But my make up was still perfect! All I touched up on was my lipstick once I got to the reception. So yes... I was extremely pleased and I highly recommend her.

Jo did my makeup for my wedding and it was absolutely flawless! The best part was that she listened to me when I described how I wanted to look and made it happen perfectly. With a million things to worry about and figure out, my make up was not one of them. It stayed put all night, on me and on all of my girls! If you're looking for a make up artist, stop looking and use Jo! Seriously.
