There aren’t enough words that haven’t already been used to describe the talent that is Jocelyn. Her bridal designs are not only GORGEOUS hanging in her chic design studio in DTLA, each gown graced by her needle & thread is personalized for the bride. The way Jocelyn makes you feel at ease is very much appreciated by any bride-to-be. She’s an artist with an eye for beauty and an all around professional. Jocelyn is amazing. I only have great things to say about her and the quality of her work. She pays attention to details and really listens to your concerns and change requests without complainting. She will work not only with you, but for you to create the dress of your dreams. Not to mention she’s such a sweetheart. Genuinely cares about every one of her clients. She is amazing! I was so concerned with my dress being ordered a size too small but she made me comfortable and secure through the entire process. She also made my dream two tier veil which came out perfectly. I would 100% recommend her to any bride.

It was 3 weeks before my wedding when I realized that I needed my dress to be altered plus so much more. I found Jocelyn via Yelp, after meeting her i decided to trust her with my wedding gown. She did an amazing job she completely transformed my dress to off the shoulders to a dress with the perfect amount of cleavage with straps. She also transformed the back of the dress to low back.

Jocelyn saved me! The place where I originally got my wedding dress contacted me before my first fitting to let me know that they were closing and needed me to pick up my dress. The dress didn't include any alterations or the modifications that we talked about when I selected my dress, with the exception of the change in appliqué on the dress. They did, however, provide me with the fabric and additional appliqué that I needed to modify my dress (the very least!), but my dress needed soooo much work with the fit and the additional changes I wanted to make with the modifications...I needed a designer and not "just a seamstress" I was really worried I wasn't going to find someone that would be able to make to make the alterations and customizations in 2 months! I found Jocelyn on Yelp and she booked me an appointment immediately and I was so impressed by her eye! She's truly an expert. She pretty much redesigning my dress and added some touches to my modifications that I probably wouldn't have incorporated if I've stuck with the original seller. I had a total of 4 fittings and 1 in where I went to just to try on my dress after I had my hair trial (totally her idea and I can't thank her enough!) With the work it needed, I didn't think it was possible to have it done by my wedding. I have my dress ready for my wedding this Saturday November 3rd and I can't wait to wow everyone! My original seller closing was a blessing in disguised, she truly exceeded my vision. I do, however, wish I've gone with Jocelyn to begin with. She's got a great eye and has customized some beautiful gowns. I can't say enough about her, you will love her and her work!

Jocelyn is a miracle worker! She took a size 10 dress to a size 0. It has a ton of beading and sequins and she rebuilt it into perfection. She is a dream to work with. I HIGHLY recommend her and do not have enough wonderful things to say about her. She is just as lovely as she is talented.

Less than one month before my wedding, Jocelyn took my dress which was unfinished and cut unevenly by someone who had my dress for 4 months. Jocelyn performed a miracle, fixed my dress and made it exactly how I imagined. While I was in her showroom, I saw a dress from her collection that I fell in love with. I had to get it and it became my reception gown. Jocelyn is amazing and she made me feel beautiful in the two dresses she did for me for the most important day of my life.

After having a very hard time finding a dress that fits me in a short time feame. I contacted Jocelyn. Not only did she make me a dress that fits me on such a short notice, she made it with the most precise attention to detail and care I've ever witnessed. And I LOVED IT! I can't wait to show it off and I sure became one of her loyal customers.

Jocelyn created my dream dress from scratch and I could not have been any happier with the results. She made the process extremely easy and enjoyable and you could truly tell that she loves what she does - it shows in all the dresses she works on! I had a total of 3 fittings and with each fitting, it was amazing to see my dress come to life. Jocelyn also gives suggestions on what would look good on the bride's body even if it differed from the bride's opinion - which I think is extremely helpful. TRUST HER - SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING! On the day of the wedding, everyone couldn't stop gushing about how beautiful my dress was! Jocelyn is a true professional and you'll forever be thankful for working with her!

Jocelyn is exceptionally talented and an absolute pleasure to work with! Her professionalism and skill level would put any bride at ease. I don't even have to give her feedback durng alterations, the minute I put my dresses on she knows exactly where and how to pin them and alter them to perfection. I brought in three dresses, all oscar de la renta and monique lhuillier, that she altered to perfection, adding in additional cups, boning and even creating a custom belt to help define my waist. Because she has her own line of bridal dresses she is also extremely knowledgeable on popular silhouettes, fabrics and trends and brings a constructive perspective to any alteration. Can't recommend her highly enough!!

Jocelyn is warm and lovely as is her daughter. She’s extremely talented and dedicated to her craft. She’s super knowledgeable and takes great care. I’ve recommended her to all my friends. I couldn’t imagine putting my dress in anyone else’s hands. And she has her own line on top of everything else! I’d give ten stars if I could.

Jocelyn is amazing! I can't speak more highly of her work. I first found her via Yelp (thanks, Yelp & other Yelpers) & contacted her for a consultation. Getting your wedding gown altered is a huge deal so I wanted to shop around a little. I got my wedding gown from Glamour Closet, which has designer dresses at sample sale prices ...which also means sample sale sizes. My dress was probably at least 6 sizes too big on me, was missing a zipper, had beading that wasn't secure, had a small year & required a bustle. So, safe to say A LOT of work had to be done. I was prepared to pay a good amount for all the work that had to be done (but also didn't mind since the cost of the dress was relatively low for a designer dress). Met with Jocelyn early on -- 6 months prior to my wedding. The consult went extremely well! She told me all of the things that needed to be done, how she would do them, & answered any questions I (or my mother) had. She also instantly made us feel like family when we met! I pretty much knew immediately that I wanted Jocelyn to alter my dress, without even knowing the cost of it all. Speaking of cost, it came out to be around the price I was expecting, if not a little less! (& that's always a plus when you're planning a wedding). She informed me that she could make a veil for me as well. I had purchased one already when I got the dress (which was a little on the expensive side for what I got) so I wasn't planning on getting another. BUT, turns out the veil I got didn't even really cover my entire dress & was totally mismatched (completely my fault for not catching that). Anyway, Jocelyn ended up making me a veil that was EVEN BETTER than the one I originally got that was also cheaper!! (as in affordability, definitely not quality). Though I loved my dress, I almost wish Jocelyn made a custom gown for me for my wedding. Fast forward 3-4 months (my wedding was back in April 2018 & yes, this review is overdue) & I'm going back to Jocelyn to have a few tears on the bottom repaired from dancing on the night of. Jocelyn is EXTREMELY pleasant to work with. She did such an AMAZING job with my wedding dress!! I am so happy I found her online and HIGHLY recommend her!!!! Where do I start with Jocelyn? Well, let me start by saying that she's 100% invested in every person she meets. I met her during my cousin's dress fitting and I was so struck by how warm Jocelyn was that I decided to go to her for my dress as well. She's an absolute professional, detail oriented, and highly skilled. And she sticks to deadlines; when she says your dress will be ready on a certain date, you can trust it. On the week of my wedding, my veil got lost during travel. When I called her in a panic, she calmly told me that said she'd help me out and at my last dress fitting (2 days later), she had a veil ready for me . I walked out crying tears of joy and, to my surprise, she was in tears as well (because, as I said, she's 100% invested in all of her clients)! I can't recommend her enough. Five stars!

honestly, I went to Jocelyn four times in the last 5 months. Twice each for both my courthouse wedding dress and my church wedding dress 4 months later. She is such a talented seamstress as she was able to not just alter my two dresses on rush, but also make sure FIRST TRY that they would be perfect!!! I loved the service I received from her so much that I referred my cousin to her who is also getting married next month. I also plan on referring all my friends to her because not only is she efficient, she is also reasonable in her pricing and such a pleasant person to talk to. My big days wouldn't have been the same without her help!

5 stars doesn't do her justice! Jocelyn saved me from what could have been a wedding dress nightmare. After a custom gown from one company was a total disaster, I ended up having to rush order a dress from another company and received it with about 3 weeks to go until my flight for my wedding in Boston. It needed to be hemmed and taken in in several areas and I was pretty worried that I wouldn't be able to find a seamstress to make the alterations in time. Jocelyn and her team responded to my email right away and were able to see me for a fitting a few days later. Jocelyn is so warm and kind, and very talented at what she does--after that one fitting I only had to come in for one more appointment 2 weeks later, and the dress fit perfectly! She was truly a lifesaver and an absolute joy to work with. I would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Jocelyn!!

After looking at so many places to alter my wedding gown and I could not find any reliable person,I came across Jocelyn Dungca and read all the positive review about her. So, I decided to take my wedding dress to her to have it altered. Jocelyn was very welcoming when we first met. She is very knowledgeable with bridal alterations.I felt relax and confident that my dress was in a good hand. She did a fantastic job on my bridal gown and reception dress. If you're looking for the BEST wedding dress alterationist, you've found her! Jocelyn truly is an artist and knew exactly what to do to make my wedding dress fit me perfectly on the big day. I was super nervous and hesitant when it came to choosing someone to alter my dress and choosing Jocelyn could not have been a better decision. She shortened my train, rebuilt new cups into the bust, lowered the back, added a zipper, fixed my lining, and probably did other things to make my dress fit me absolutely perfectly. She also is SO sweet, works quickly, is super affordable, and her show room is nice and welcoming! THANK YOU, JOCELYN for making me feel beautiful in my dress on my wedding day. Jocelyn was a saint throughout the entire alterations process. I came in with a Monique Lhuillier sample sale gown size 6 that was just a little too big for me. I needed adjustments in length, fit, and poofiness. She delivered on all three of these aspects! One thing that truly blew me away was how knowledgeable she was with Moniquie Lhuillier gowns as well as their sample sales. She demonstrated a true concern for me as a bride and client. Met all deadlines and kept all scheduled appointments. I highly recommend trusting Jocelyn with your gown for the big day!!!

Amazing seamstress! Jocelyn took me in when I was desperately looking for someone to do a super last minute major alteration to my beautiful wedding gown. And the best part was that not only my dress came out amazing, but she took me in with no appointment when I needed it the most, she was so accommodating, made my day!! I was desperate but didn't want to go to just anyone. I am so happy I found her! She also makes dresses from scratch if you bring your own design, and also has dresses at her studio. Jocylene was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her work was phenomenal and she went above and beyond what she was supposed to do to make sure my dress and gown was just perfect. She will be my new to go person for all alterations and tailor needs.

Jocelyn made me the most gorgeous custom reception dress for my wedding! And then, if that wasn't enough, she helped me revamp it for my anniversary two years later. I worked in the bridal industry and the dress was as gorgeous as any couture designer gown. She's truly a visionary and I would HIGHLY recommend her to any bride!

I could not rave about Jocelyn more. She altered 3 evening dresses for me that I wore for events surrounding my wedding and took the time to make sure that every detail was right given that I have scoliosis, etc. I then trusted her enough with my wedding dress alterations as the it needed further alterations then those done at the store I bought it from in NYC. Jocelyn hand sewed on beading while I was in the gown the day before I left for my wedding to make sure that all was right. Now that is a perfectionist and someone I will continue to work with when I need alterations or a dress made in the future.
