I fell in love with my wedding dress at Jocelynn's! I was a little skeptical walking into my appointment as the shop is a little outdated - it could use a remodel and some hard-wood floors. But if you look beyond the shop, they have an AMAZING selection of dresses and an incredible try-on experience. Additionally, the seamstress was incredible and altered my dress exactly how I wanted it. They also offer a discount if your groom gets his tux and the groomsmen's tuxes there! I would recommend any bride to check out Jocelynn's.

I received so many compliments on my beautiful wedding dress. It was so easy working with this shop from shopping, to alterations, to pick up!

My experience here was incredible. They helped me pick the perfect dress after I look at pretty much every bridal shop in the capital region. The staff was so kind and made me feel so beautiful. When I went for my second fitting I was unsure of how the bustle looked. I went home and couldn't stop thinking about it and how it didn't feel right. I ended up calling the next day and they were so accommodating. They pulled my dress and had me come in right away to see if we could change it to something I was more comfortable with. We arrived at the perfect placement and I could not be happier. The staff puts so much time and care into everything they do here. I will recommend this bridal shop to everyone I know. The staff here is just wonderful! Thank you so much for helping to make my big day perfect!

I cannot thank the team at Jocelynn’s Bridal enough! Yvonne, their seamstress, is truly a miracle worker. She was SO patient through my multiple fittings, even when I changed my mind and she had to undo all of the previous altering I had asked for!! She absolutely tailored my dress to perfection (which was ALOT of work!). I also purchased all of my bridesmaids dressed through Jocelynns and they made the ordering process a breeze. Thank you so much!!!!

We used Jocelynn's Bridal for our wedding dresses. They were so helpful and accommodating for two brides getting ready to celebrate their big day. They helped us find the perfect dresses. They even helped our bridesmaid find a dress last minute while still getting all of our alterations done. We definitely recommend them for getting the right dress!

After bypassing some very expensive local shops, and being disgusted by the interior of another local shop, I decided to start my true dress shopping at Jocelynn's and I ended up buying the second dress I tried on. They have an excellent process: you show them pictures of what you like, and then "like" options on an iPad that they let you use to peruse photos of their inventory, and then they bring you dresses. So easy, and the so efficient. AND, they were so far under my budget, I could have bought just about anything in the store. Let me add - my dress came in as we were entering shut-down during COVID-19, and the owner was still open for only 2 hours twice a week - it was SO perfect; I was able to pick up my dress and have it altered on my own, in time to have my wedding (still during the pandemic). Excellent shop. Highly recommended!

After a horrible experience at David’s Bridal I thought wedding dress shopping would continue to be a nightmare. My sister told me we should try out Jocelynn’s Bridal and I am so happy I did! They made wedding dress shopping fun and stress-free. A big concern is wait time for a dress but I received my dress in three months from my order date and which left me with more than enough time for final alterations. That being said, not many alterations were needed because it fit true to the size recommended by the staff. Everything from selecting the dresses to try on, the fitting area, and the service from the staff was exceptional. They even gave a discount for my maid-of-honor and mother to purchase their dresses. I highly recommend them to anyone!

I do have to say my review is both on my experience with a wedding gown and for bridesmaids dresses. For my wedding gown the entire process was smooth. My consultant listened to what I wanted and was able to pin my wedding dress with an illusion back to the V back I was envisioning and see how my dress could be altered to what I wanted. Everything from ordering the gown, to the time the gown arrived, and the alterations, everything went smoothly. The seamstress I worked with was great. I probably went 5 times to try on my dress and she would always fix little things I pointed out and was very professional through it all. Bridesmaids dresses were a disaster from the start. They were ordered at different times when the order should have been placed all together. This was to ensure they were all cut at the same time and to prevent variations of color between dresses. The order was then cancelled and the dresses reordered. No guidance was given on what size for the girls to order from the owner behind the desk who typically answers the phone and takes orders. As a result the girls ordered what they thought was correct and 2 dresses did not fit. Only a 10% refund was issued to my maid of honor whose dress was too small. Her dress also came in weeks later after everyone else’s due to a “defect in the fabric”. She had to go to David’s bridal to get a dress in time for the wedding. I received no phone call when the dresses came in, I had to call a week after their scheduled arrival date to find out if they arrived or not. I was originally told ALL the dresses had defects and were going to have to be reordered. Then someone called me the next day to tell me the dresses came in and only the one dress had the defect. Their filing system or organization seems to be lacking. My recommendation would be if you have any questions on sizes would be to talk to the seamstress before placing an order!

Worst bridal shop I've ever been to. Horrible service, rude and pretentious consultant and manager. If you don't have an appointment (which is not required here) they act as though you're a burden to their store and completely ignore you... even when the store is completely empty. When I asked to look through wedding dresses, they handed me an iPad instead of being able to look through the racks myself. After trying on two dresses, I ended up leaving because I felt so uncomfortable from the attitude I got from the consultant. Extremely unprofessional. If you're looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to find your dress, this is not it. If I could give zero stars I would.

I found a dress for my daughter‘s wedding at Jocelynn’s and I absolutely love the shop! The owner was very accommodating and patient with me when making my appointments for fittings. His sister, who pinned my dress for alterations, did an outstanding job! There was so much work to be done on the dress, I couldn’t believe how great it came out! I am very happy with the dress. My experience at Jocelynn’s was stress free, my dress is perfect and I have no worries as we approach the big day! The owner and the alterations staff certainly made this experience a pleasurable one!

I said "yes to the dress" at Jocelynn's! They have an amazing selection of gowns to try, and the young woman who assisted me was so attentive and helpful (everyone working there is absolutely lovely, for the record). She pinned up every dress I tried so I could REALLY see it, and that made all the difference in making my decision. Once I made my choice it was smooth sailing through ordering, try-ons and alterations. Jocelynn made sure my gown was a perfect fit before I took it home. It was basically as stress-free as it could have been!

Great selection for my price range which was $1000. I was nervous as I know people spend less on their dress while others spend much more. But the staff was so friendly and accommodating. It was my first time shopping for my wedding dress and I said yes to a dress that day! While my alterations were pricey (but let's be honest that is anywhere you go) I had complete faith that the staff would take great care of my dress. I was so happy I chose to keep my dress at Jocelynn's for the alterations as it took one less thing of my plate to worry about. I recommend them to any future bride and even did to a co-worker, who after stopping at several other salons found her dress at Jocelynn's!

Jocelynn's was amazing! It was the only place I couldn't find a more plain dress that I loved. The employees were always accommodating even when I walked in without an appointment. I could not have asked for more!

My husband and I literally planned our entire wedding in two weeks because of an upcoming deployment. I walked into Jocelynn's Bridal ready to settle on a dress, however, this was not the case! I hit the motherload! The owner showed my two racks where I could choose dresses from that were within my price range and could be fitted by my wedding date (which at this point was 6 days away). The stylist was very patient with me helping me to try on as many gowns as I wanted, and helping me see the final picture. I could not be more happy with my choice to get my wedding gown at Jocelynn's Bridal!

Jocelyn's was great. I felt like a princess everytime I went in there. They were kind and patient when it came to my dress fitting. The alterations were perfect!!!!!! I would definitely recommend them!

Jocelynn's is the best! They were so accommodating even worked to make my dress within my budget. Upon the final week of the wedding they even steamed my veil for me. Such a great family owned bridal salon. Highly recommend.

I made an appointment here and it was the best choice I made! After going to davids bridal and sharing a consultant (even though I had my own appointment) I made my appointment here. They all were very welcoming and inviting as soon as walking in the door. I had a big wedding party with me and there was no issue they got chairs for everyone. I ended up finding my dress here. The consultant never left and was fast at tying the dresses up. She was very informative when it came to knowing what colors the dresses came in and how they could be altered. After trying on 13 dresses and being there for 2 hours my experience was amazing. I would definitely recommend Jocelynn's bridal to anyone looking for a dress!

Jocelynn's was the first place I went wedding dress shopping. I felt like royalty trying on all these dresses and they were so wonderful and attentive! The first dress I tried on ended up being my dress and to this day I am still obsessed with it. Throughout the whole process they made me feel so special and even when I found a slight tear in the dress they fixed it without me having to worry about a thing. 10/10 would buy again!

Being a plus size bride, I was so nervous to go wedding dress shopping. All of these nerves were washed away when I got to Jocelynn's Bridal and began working with the employees. They knew what dresses would flatter me, and had many to choose from that I would fit into! They allowed me and my entourage to choose many dresses, but also pulled some of their own. I actually ended up saying yes to a dress that was chosen by our consultant! The dress was ordered, and even with customizations came in almost 2 months before they said it would! When the dress came in, it was prom season and they were extremely busy, but they did not falter from their kind attitude and excellent customer service. I was taken into a dressing room to try on my dress, and they even got my mother right into a room without an appointment. She said yes to her dress at Jocelynn's Bridal as well! The consultant even paired me with the most perfect veil, that I purchased as well! The seamstress was very friendly, and she did an amazing job on my dress, and my mothers. They fit perfectly on my wedding day! Every visit to Jocelynn's Bridal was great! I never once received poor customer service. This is a great shop to purchase any gown!

This place is the absolute best! Would strongly recommend to all!!! I have a wedding coming up in less than two weeks and all the staff have been so helpful to both my mom and I! We both purchase our gowns here and no matter when we stopped in to check on things or try on our gown, they always allowed us too! They let us look through the racks to make sure we absolutely loved what we picked out!!! 5 star all the way!!!!!! 😊

I started my search for a wedding gown at Jocelynn's because I had gone there for my high school graduation gown. I had planned on it being the first stop of several salons, but I didn't need to look any further after my first visit! First, they make it incredibly easy for you to pick out what you'd like to try on, even if you don't have a specific idea in mind. I selected about 8 dresses from two designers I liked and knew Jocelynn's carried. Three of the dresses were beautiful, each in their own way, and I didn't want my wonderful sales associate to put them back. However, I knew none of them were "the" dress. She got this look in her eye and asked me what I liked about each one. "Give me a few minutes, and I'll be right back", she said. The gown she brought me was a stunning Allure Bridals fit and flare, with lace, beading and bling - all of the things I loved separately on the other 3 gowns. As soon as I put it on in the dressing room, I had the moment we all hope to. My mother, aunt, and maid of honor could tell this was it as soon as I came out to show them! Jocelynn's also did my alterations, and made that process so easy and comforting. I didn't have a moment of worry that my gown would be anything but perfect on the big day. Everyone at Jocelynn's was extremely pleasant and helpful at every step. Never just a number! Their selection is extensive, and they carry grooms' attire as well as all of the necessary accessories. Fabulous experience!!

Buyers beware! We put a deposit on a dress. We were told as long as they hadn't ordered it we could get a refund but when we approached them for a refund it was a hassle to even get a partial refund. Very rude and disrespectful from the beginning. Please be careful and don't let them ruin your special day!

Went to Jocelynn's expecting great things from the previous reviews. I was so disappointed. I made an appointment but when I went in it was very busy and the sales people seemed unfocused and rushed. There were a few other parties trying on dresses who didn't have an appointment and they were being serviced before me. There weren't enough chairs for my mom and a few bridesmaids to sit. The area where you try on dresses is a normal fitting room, so all the other brides were right next to me trying on dresses and it just didn't have that special feel to it. I was overwhelmed the entire time. They also had me select dresses I liked on an iPad, and when they brought them out they were different than expected. The lady was borderline rude when I said the style wasn't what I wanted, and had me convinced A-line dresses didn't exist (they do, but they didn't have any at this store). Overall, it wasn't the intimate experience I wanted when trying on a dress. They did have some good deals going on, but their style was very specific and not what I was looking for.

You cannot judge a book by its cover as this shop has a great dress selection and service. The dress I ended up saying YES to was a dress that was suggested that, at first, I refused to try on. My dress was perfect! The staff is helpful, always there to help but not aggressively and gives you time to decide and makes you feel extremely comfortable.

I went to Jocelynns on my first try looking for a gown. I was easily able to make an appointment for the day/time that I needed and upon arrival was immediately acknowledged. I was given an iPad that had pictures with the prices of all of the dresses that they currently had in stock. I was able to "like" the dresses I wanted to try on and Shahad pulled several. After assisting me in several dresses (5 or 6?) Shahad pulled a dress she thought I would like from what I was saying I liked/disliked about each dress I had already tried. Shahad was SPOT ON! The dress she pulled for me was perfect along with the accessories she assisted me in picking. All of the staff made me feel valued and were amazingly attentive. I purchased my dress that day and it arrived within 4 weeks! Much earlier than expected. They called to let me know I could come in whenever I wanted to try it on, but didn't need to start alterations for several months and they would hold the dress for me. I went in to try the dress on and again they were awesome and remembered me immediately. The process of getting the dress altered was wonderful, and the alteration staff did such a great job! My dress fit perfectly, and the accessories were perfect accents. I am SO THANKFUL for the amazing experience I had at Jocelynns.

Everyone at Jocelynns's was very nice and great to work with - there was always someone to help me with my dress for any fittings, etc. I had to give 2 stars because at my final fitting before I picked up my dress, a 4"x2" section of lace had been taken off of the bodice of my dress. Completely removed, and no one could give me an explanation as to why. Ultimately someone ended up creating a piece of lace for that section, and it pretty much blended in, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. When you're paying $1600 for a dress, you want it to be perfect. I cant say I would recommend them to anyone; while this certainly didn't ruin my day, it caused a LOT of unnecessary stress the week of my wedding.

I purchased my wedding gown at Jocelynn's about 8 months before my date. When I walked in, I was given an iPad with a catalogue of their selections and checked off which dresses I was interested in trying on. The staff brought the dresses to me and within trying on three dresses they already had an idea of what I was looking for and they narrowed down the dresses I had selected and added to them with their own suggestions. I found my gown after only 5 dresses and fell in love. Jocelynn's completed my alterations and worked with my schedule for fittings since I live 4 hours away. The alterations did take 4 fittings to get right but in the end the dress fit perfectly and I was very happy. The seamstress was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. My bridesmaids also had their dresses altered at Jocelynn's (but not purchased) and were happy as well. Happy to have worked with them!

I bought my wedding dress at Jocelynn's after trying on dresses at 5 different wedding shops (yes, I looked around quite a bit!). The dress I ended up ordering was not at Jocelynn's as a sample however after my experiences at the other boutiques, Jocelynn's was my favorite! They were easy to work with and calming in the ordering process. When I went to try on dresses Maryam helped give me the whole vision with veils, necklaces and all. I ended up ordering a custom veil from them to match my dress as well. The dress came in 2 weeks early which was great! I ended up not getting my alterations done there as their quote was a little high, but I would definitely recommend them for dress/veil shopping!

They allowed me and my family to browse and as they felt I was leaning toward a certain style they pulled dresses for me to try and helped narrow it down. We had all the time and help we needed! They were great!

This dress shop has been a staple in my hometown since I can remember. I got my senior prom dress here, so it was only fitting that I went there for my wedding dress also! I got lucky, the first dress I saw and tried on ended up being my dress! Everyone there is so friendly and helpful, and the seamstress is so talented, she can do anything you want to make your wedding dress perfect! I love this store!

My mother and I went to Jocelynn's Bridal on our first shopping trip for my wedding dress. The staff there was extremely attentive, and they had a very big selection for such a small store! I never felt rushed, even though they were clearly very busy that day. We didn't end up purchasing my dress there, but my two sisters went in later to be fitted for their bridesmaids dresses, and Jocelynn's made them feel as special as I felt when I visited.

I loved every one of my experiences at this bridal shop. The staff was friendly, thorough, and not at all aggressive. I am not a fan of women shoving me into wedding dresses in the fitting room. Compared to other dress shops in the area, I was very pleased. My dress is Alfred Angelo, reasonably priced, and fairly ornate. They did a great job of shortening the length of it while maintaining the detail of the lace appliques. I would definitely recommend this store to any bride to be!

When I started shopping for dresses, I thought for sure that I'd end up at David's, the Wal-Mart of bridal shops, picking out one of the same dresses everyone else wears 'cause it's cheaper. But what the heck, I decided to go look at Jocelynn's first, just to see. And I was pleasantly surprised. They have a wide range of dresses to suit any budget, even mine, and I saw plenty of gowns that weren't the same old, same old ones you always see. I ended up hitting the jackpot, 'cause I found one on the clearance rack that fit me and was just perfect, really beautiful and totally fitting for the theme of my wedding -- and it was unique! I've never seen a gown anywhere, on TV or online or anything, that looks just like mine. Wonderful! The ladies at Jocelynn's were really helpful through the whole process, very friendly and good at guiding us through the whole process, from trying on gowns to figuring out a bustle to picking up my freshly cleaned, perfectly altered gown. I looked beautiful on my wedding day, and Jocelynn's helped make that happen. :)

Loved that they helped us but also gave us our space. Very helpful, friendly and professional. Got my dress here, the bridesmaid dresses here and also the guys tuxedos here. (His is free if you buy the dress here). Also they preserve the dress and 3 pieces afterwards. Loved that I could do it all at this one place.

Let me start off by saying that I absolutely LOVED my wedding dress. It was perfect for me, and for that I will always be happy that I walked into Jocelynn's Bridal that day. Plus, you really cannot beat their prices...and believe me, I shopped around! The woman that I worked with the most was very pleasant, and went out of her way to make sure that I was happy with my choice of dress. She must have laced me, pinned me, and taken 25 photos of me using my phone more than any one person should ever have to...and she did it all with a smile. Also, while my dress alterations were good, they were not perfect. In particular, my bustle was terrible. I chose to go with a three point bustle for my chapel train...which I was told would be more secure than the traditional one point bustle. Well, that was certainly not the case as my bustle came undone repeatedly throughout my reception. And I'm not talking once or twice. Try seven or eight times...to the point where I just stopped asking my sister to bustle it and just used the wrist strap to carry it around on the dance floor. In addition, my husband had a lot of issues with the sizing of the tuxes. Several did not fit the men and unfortunately, they did not come into the store until three days before the wedding (even though he ordered them five weeks before our big day). The guys didn't all have a chance to get their garments adjusted but overall, they did look great!

This has to be the best bridal shop in the capital district! When shopping for my gown, I went to all the big name stores and expensive boutiques. We finally made our way to Jocelynn's and I'm so happy we did! Not only did they have the dress I wanted but the service here is so wonderful! Just such pleasant people, its family run, they are all very knowledgeable and the seamstresses can really work their magic! So happy with this bridal shop! 5 stars just is not enough!

Jocelynn's was so easy to work with. They make you feel extremely comfortable and not in a stuffy bridal shop. They do the alterations on site and everything was just perfect! They were fantastic!

I ordered my bridal gown and the bridesmaids dresses through Jocelynn's, all in one night! I didn't get my alterations done here, as I have heard some not-good things about how they do them at Jocelynn's (but can't speak from experience). They have a huge selection of dresses, from very simple to glamorous/chic and "trendy".

Jocelynn's has a wide variety of dresses & tuxedos. They can order just about anything.

After calling 10+ bridal shops for the dress I'd decided on, Jocelynn's offered me the best price. In some cases it was hundreds less than other shops for the same style. I didn't realize that buying a dress was like buying/negotiating a car! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Sales associates were available if needed but didn't pressure me, relaxed environment, kind of small but always had enough room and didn't feel rushed. Overall a good experience.

My experience with Jocelynn's Bridal was fantastic. They were always very attentive and flexible with my out of town attendants. They did an amazing job on all of the gowns' alterations and we didn't have to donate a limb to pay for them. Compared to many of the bridal shops in the Albany, NY area, they had the best customer service of any of them, hands down!

Great place to buy a dress, reasonable prices but not good with alterations. They try but not good.

I purchased my gown in January 2010. My mom and I showed up after work on a Monday night, no appointment needed. We picked dresses off the rack and tried on tons (as we did at other places as well). No one hovers over you or tries to follow you into the dressing rooms. I found a dress that I didn't like on the hanger that much and it turned out to be THE ONE. It was already discounted because it was discontinued. Usually the discontinued "as is" dresses are disgusting with rips and stains because they've been tried on a lot. This dress was just-in, perfect condition, and could no longer be ordered. It fit and zipped just about perfectly. I bought it that night with an additional mark-down on top of the already 40% off! (My dress itself was less than $500.) The family that runs the store is nice to work with. My mom and mother-in-law also ordered their dresses from there. My mom bought earrings. I bought my veil there (did have to be ordered). We also did all of our tux rentals there. Everything turned out great in the end. One warning: GO ELSEWHERE for alterations. We had a hard time getting everything just right and went back several times for "final fitting"s. That part was nerve-racking! Prices weren't that reasonable either. I didn't even have to have my dress hemmed or taken-in, and it was still almost $200 for alterations! So most of the alteration costs were for my bustle (I guess), which kept breaking anyway during the fittings while my maid of honor tried to practice. It did hold up on the night of the wedding though, until we went out after the reception and some girl kept stepping on it. SO if you're going to have not-so-careful people at your reception or afterwards make sure you have a beefy bustle!!!

Jocelynn's had a great selection of dress for me and my bridesmaids. The quality of the dresses were 10x better than some of the other local stores.
