We sent Joe a few inspiration playlists for different parts of the night, and he did an amazing job blending our song choices with his own selections. We got so many compliments from our guests about how great the music was. We’d 100% recommend Joe to anyone looking for a DJ who’s professional, easy to work with, and really knows how to read a crowd.

twice myself, I can truly say that he is top notch in both his dedication to his work and the quality of his performance. Recently I was fortunate enough to attend a wedding that Joe was DJing and performing at. Joe took the time to meet with the couple prior to the wedding day to build a custom set list, ceremony music, acoustic playlist, and party jams. Joe followed up with the wedding party on the day of to confirm various details without needing to text the Bride and Groom. Joe arrived hours prior to the wedding and set up his equipment, guitar, microphone, and lighting in 3 locations around the venue, in 91 degree heat. He came prepared with the proper equipment for each location-outdoor ceremony, acoustic patio cocktail hours and indoor dinner & reception. Joe started the ceremony off with a flawless classical DJ set with multiple seamless transitions for the wedding party and the Bride. He controlled the microphone volume for then officiant and vows, and played nice exit music. During the cocktail hour, Joe played an outdoor acoustic set and everything sounded great. He then transitioned to a 3rd location to DJ the reception with entrance dance music, first dances, dinner ambiance, and party music. The transition between each piece of the evening was flawless, the uplifting was beautiful, and the sound quality was superb. Me and the 120 guests were blown away by the quality, attention to detail, and flawless execution of the 6 hour event. 10/10 every time, and highly recommend!

ll of the information he'd need about announcements, special songs, etc. and he also let us submit a must play and do not play list, as well as an inspiration playlist with some suggested songs. He was in charge of ceremony music, live music during cocktail hour, a dinner playlist, announcing all of the toasts and first dances, and of course the dance music at the end of the night. Everything went very smoothly, and most importantly we heard from SO many of our guests that they were happy with the dance music! It was very hot and humid on our wedding day but no one wanted to take a break from dancing because every song Joe played was a major hit with the crowd. And on top of it all, Joe's services are extremely reasonably priced compared to some of his competitors. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone getting married in the Boston area.

for us! Joe is an extremely talented musician, vocalist and a true professional. We have also been fortunate enough to attend other events that Joe has provided services for and we have always had a great time.

and saying “I do” - it was one of the top highlights of the day. Joe listens to what you want for the day and he can manage everything for you - from the ceremony to the speeches to the live music - he does it all! In the lead up to the wedding we had multiple phone calls and e-mail exchanges planning out the music and playlists for the wedding - he is a great singer and guitarist and can also put together whatever playlists you want. Wedding planning can be stressful but Joe can make it easy for you. We actually ended up hiring Joe two nights in a row - he played a solo set the night before at our reception (basically a big night out at a bar) and then the next day he put together a 4 person wedding band and they were incredible. 80’s and 90’s classic hits to modern favorites - they played for hours. He even let me get on stage and sing a few songs myself! Joe is polite, punctual and professional - I fully recommend Joe for your wedding and quite frankly would recommend him for any live music event.

required very little handholding on our end but was able to read the crowd. He also quickly helped me the week before the wedding with different options and mixes for my father daughter dance. We had some foreign songs we wanted to play for family and he knew where to place them without disrupting the general flow. I would 1000% recommend Joe.

had found the right guy. His acoustic set fit the vibe of our backyard wedding perfectly. We supplied a four-hour playlist for dancing and Joe helped keep the dance floor packed for the entire four hours. We requested that he minimize crowd interaction and just allow music to play most of the time, which was perfect. Every time he was on the mic, it added to our evening. Two extra perks: Joe also did a wonderful acoustic version of our first dance song. It was beautiful! Joe set up a mic for our speeches and for some musical performances from our friends. Very smooth, no hiccups or surprises. Working with Joe prior to the event was smooth. He is a great communicator and open to flexibility and suggestions. He provided an extensive worksheet and was able to work with all of the requests that we had. He arrived well prior to the event start time and was ready to go long before our guests arrived.

was all anyone could hear. NOT SO with Joe!!! We were hesitant to have a DJ (for that very reason) at this, our last daughter’s wedding, but Joe came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator, whom we trusted. From the very first encounter, he was personable, put you at ease, understood the bride’s vibe (Sinatra, Big Band, Motown, haha!), prompt with communicating via email or phone, reasonably priced, knowledgeable, kind... I could go on! But wedding day is what really counts, right? He was there on time, sharply dressed, equipment and set up as promised. He did his job seamlessly, professionally, with an easy manner. He spoke and announced at the right times, pronounced all the names correctly, 😉 played all of the couple’s requested songs and totally had the feel for our event! He was a handsome, totally on top of his game facilitator, in the background, so the bridal party and family and friends remained the focus of the evening!! EXACTLY who and what we had hoped for, and we were TOTALLY pleased and satisfied. The evening went by so quickly, but I do remember that he had plenty of nifty lighting effects, as well. We would WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend Joe Carson to anyone and everyone!!! Our wedding coordinator from our venue, who loves working with Joe, was totally correct in steering us to him. She believed he was the right person, adept at catching the couple’s vision and vibe, and she was SPOT ON in that assessment. Call Joe!!! You will be so happy you did!!!
