Joe Carson Music

d and masterfully choose songs that kept the energy going all night. Thanks again for everything!

m Chinese and Korean backgrounds, this was actually our first American wedding experience. We were a bit nervous about whether our guests, who traveled from all over the world (the U.S., China, Korea, Greece, India, Jordan, and beyond), would feel comfortable joining the dance floor. But thanks to Joe’s incredible music selection and his ability to truly read the room, those worries quickly disappeared. As soon as the dance floor opened, people jumped in, and it was such a joy to see everyone fully engaged and having fun. Joe created unforgettable memories not just for us, but for all of our family and friends, many of whom were attending an American wedding for the first time. He was incredibly easy to work with and brought such a warm, welcoming energy to our celebration. We wholeheartedly recommend Joe to anyone looking for a DJ who can make their wedding truly special. Thank you Joe! Kindest regards, Hyeri & Bruce

very helpful, as we found a lot of the more detail-oriented parts of wedding decisions pretty overwhelming.  It gave us such a great place to start thinking of how we really wanted things.  Could not recommend him more!

get everyone out on the dance floor .

ed seamlessly with our officiant, who was handling some of the ceremony music, and everything flowed without a hitch. We sent Joe a few inspiration playlists for different parts of the night, and he did an amazing job blending our song choices with his own selections. The dance floor was never empty—if a song wasn’t quite landing, he picked up on it immediately and transitioned into something that kept the energy up. We got so many compliments from our guests about how great the music was. We’d 100% recommend Joe to anyone looking for a DJ who’s professional, easy to work with, and really knows how to read a crowd.

t vendors we reached out to when it came time to plan our big day! His blend of live acoustic and DJing provided an awesome variety between our cocktail hour and reception, and he had our dance floor full all night. Throughout the planning process, Joe was super proactive and responsive to our emails which we really appreciated. All around seamless, excellent experience working with Joe - would recommend him to anyone!

the different vibes disparate friends and relatives bring to a wedding dance floor! He kept the party lively start to end and everyone had a blast. He also did live instrumental for our ceremony, which made everything that much more special. We loved having him as a part of our special day!

inting us in the right direction from a sound/music point of view. The speaker set up for the ceremony was perfect, and made it very easy for our officiant to be heard. Joe made sure he was announcing everyone’s names correctly during introductions, and nailed the transition from dinner to dancing. All in all a Joe made our wedding day sound perfect!

one enjoyed the variety! Whether it was the acoustic instrumental songs he played for our ceremony, the acoustic music/singing he then played for our cocktail hour right down to the DJ music which kept the celebration on the dance floor going all night. We highly highly recommend Joe!

sional and someone I will recommend to anyone and everyone Keith and Amanda

twice myself, I can truly say that he is top notch in both his dedication to his work and the quality of his performance. Recently I was fortunate enough to attend a wedding that Joe was DJing and performing at. Joe took the time to meet with the couple prior to the wedding day to build a custom set list, ceremony music, acoustic playlist, and party jams. Joe followed up with the wedding party on the day of to confirm various details without needing to text the Bride and Groom. Joe arrived hours prior to the wedding and set up his equipment, guitar, microphone, and lighting in 3 locations around the venue, in 91 degree heat. He came prepared with the proper equipment for each location-outdoor ceremony, acoustic patio cocktail hours and indoor dinner & reception. Joe started the ceremony off with a flawless classical DJ set with multiple seamless transitions for the wedding party and the Bride. He controlled the microphone volume for then officiant and vows, and played nice exit music. During the cocktail hour, Joe played an outdoor acoustic set and everything sounded great. He then transitioned to a 3rd location to DJ the reception with entrance dance music, first dances, dinner ambiance, and party music. The transition between each piece of the evening was flawless, the uplifting was beautiful, and the sound quality was superb. Me and the 120 guests were blown away by the quality, attention to detail, and flawless execution of the 6 hour event. 10/10 every time, and highly recommend!

ll ages and backgrounds tore it up on the dance floor and celebrated during the reception. He is very skilled at what he does while also listening to your input and paying close attention to the vibe of your particular event. I highly highly highly recommend working with him! Especially if you want to reduce stress. He has everything else handled- you'll hardly have to do a thing unless you want to!

reat job at blending crowd pleasers with our preferences and taste. So great to work with from beginning to end!

nce floor all night and did a great job making sure our wedding ran smoothly all night! You will NOT regret booking him for your next event! We cannot thank him enough for helping to make our wedding so special!

lso personalized. For cocktail hour, he also played acoustic guitar and included some of our favorite songs. It gave cocktail hour such a beautiful ambiance. For the reception, he showcased his DJ skills by selecting all of the right songs for dancing and dinner while also MC'ing the whole event seamlessly. We absolutely loved working with him and can not recommend him enough!

re looking for, but Joe came and provided everything for the ceremony, played a killer acoustic guitar set for the cocktail hour, and then held down the dance floor all night for a bunch of people who don’t even dance. This is all on top of being very reasonably priced. Would recommend Joe to anyone that finds what I said above appealing. NO REGRETS booking Joe!!!! Thank you from Brandan and Amanda!!

even with my many questions during the planning. Highly recommend him for any event!

ll of the information he'd need about announcements, special songs, etc. and he also let us submit a must play and do not play list, as well as an inspiration playlist with some suggested songs. He was in charge of ceremony music, live music during cocktail hour, a dinner playlist, announcing all of the toasts and first dances, and of course the dance music at the end of the night. Everything went very smoothly, and most importantly we heard from SO many of our guests that they were happy with the dance music! It was very hot and humid on our wedding day but no one wanted to take a break from dancing because every song Joe played was a major hit with the crowd. And on top of it all, Joe's services are extremely reasonably priced compared to some of his competitors. I would highly recommend Joe to anyone getting married in the Boston area.

music, introductions and announcements went as we wanted. Thanks Joe!

sive as the evening went on. Joe made it so easy to book and communicate with him as well. We can't recommend him enough!

for us! Joe is an extremely talented musician, vocalist and a true professional. We have also been fortunate enough to attend other events that Joe has provided services for and we have always had a great time.

and saying “I do” - it was one of the top highlights of the day. Joe listens to what you want for the day and he can manage everything for you - from the ceremony to the speeches to the live music - he does it all! In the lead up to the wedding we had multiple phone calls and e-mail exchanges planning out the music and playlists for the wedding - he is a great singer and guitarist and can also put together whatever playlists you want. Wedding planning can be stressful but Joe can make it easy for you. We actually ended up hiring Joe two nights in a row - he played a solo set the night before at our reception (basically a big night out at a bar) and then the next day he put together a 4 person wedding band and they were incredible. 80’s and 90’s classic hits to modern favorites - they played for hours. He even let me get on stage and sing a few songs myself! Joe is polite, punctual and professional - I fully recommend Joe for your wedding and quite frankly would recommend him for any live music event.

ng, had no hiccups with setup or audio, and was incredibly professional. He's organized and thoughtful with a pre-wedding questionnaire and is flexible with changes. I'd recommend his DJ service to any greater-Boston area couples. Thank you Joe Carson!

to the day. We would definitely recommend!

required very little handholding on our end but was able to read the crowd. He also quickly helped me the week before the wedding with different options and mixes for my father daughter dance. We had some foreign songs we wanted to play for family and he knew where to place them without disrupting the general flow. I would 1000% recommend Joe.

iful for our cermony and definitely knows how to play to a crowd! 10 out of 10!

remony, played acoustic guitar (and sang) in a barn for cocktail hour, and finally dj-ed our reception in a third location. We are so grateful for his ability to do all three of these things with such ease and professionalism. The dance floor was packed all night and we received so many compliments from guests on the music. We highly recommend Joe for any/all of your live music or DJ needs!

sic. We cannot recommend Joe enough- do not hesitate to hire him!!

tastic job DJing our reception. Joe was easy to work with, responsive and professional. All of our guests raved about him!

had found the right guy. His acoustic set fit the vibe of our backyard wedding perfectly. We supplied a four-hour playlist for dancing and Joe helped keep the dance floor packed for the entire four hours. We requested that he minimize crowd interaction and just allow music to play most of the time, which was perfect. Every time he was on the mic, it added to our evening. Two extra perks: Joe also did a wonderful acoustic version of our first dance song. It was beautiful! Joe set up a mic for our speeches and for some musical performances from our friends. Very smooth, no hiccups or surprises. Working with Joe prior to the event was smooth. He is a great communicator and open to flexibility and suggestions. He provided an extensive worksheet and was able to work with all of the requests that we had. He arrived well prior to the event start time and was ready to go long before our guests arrived.

and yet he did. The whole musical delivery from the acoustic processional, to his choice of cocktail and reception songs was perfect. I highly recommend Joe.

e changes- wedding got postponed a day because of weather, different requests from family members about parent dances, etc. (the night before!!) and he was able to honor ALL of them. Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Great communication, great pricing, and made it a great night!

live acoustic music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner then transition into a fun night of DJ'ing for dancing. He is so pleasant to work with and we recommend him to anyone looking for a really seamless and exceptional experience!

was all anyone could hear. NOT SO with Joe!!! We were hesitant to have a DJ (for that very reason) at this, our last daughter’s wedding, but Joe came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator, whom we trusted. From the very first encounter, he was personable, put you at ease, understood the bride’s vibe (Sinatra, Big Band, Motown, haha!), prompt with communicating via email or phone, reasonably priced, knowledgeable, kind... I could go on! But wedding day is what really counts, right? He was there on time, sharply dressed, equipment and set up as promised. He did his job seamlessly, professionally, with an easy manner. He spoke and announced at the right times, pronounced all the names correctly, 😉 played all of the couple’s requested songs and totally had the feel for our event! He was a handsome, totally on top of his game facilitator, in the background, so the bridal party and family and friends remained the focus of the evening!! EXACTLY who and what we had hoped for, and we were TOTALLY pleased and satisfied. The evening went by so quickly, but I do remember that he had plenty of nifty lighting effects, as well. We would WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend Joe Carson to anyone and everyone!!! Our wedding coordinator from our venue, who loves working with Joe, was totally correct in steering us to him. She believed he was the right person, adept at catching the couple’s vision and vibe, and she was SPOT ON in that assessment. Call Joe!!! You will be so happy you did!!!
