sh. On the day of the wedding, Joe and his assistant Ron were easy to work with, creative, and made my husband (who doesn't love what he calls "staged" photos) completely at ease and natural. The day of our outdoor wedding, it was pouring and windy, so they went all over the indoor backup plan to make sure to find the right, unique, beautiful shots. We've got a lot of fun photos from the wedding reception -- candid, and really captured the feeling of the day. We were so thrilled with the outcome, we HIGHLY recommend Joe Cutalo Photography!

ography, 45 days before the wedding. Joe drove 40 minutes to meet with us near our home. We hired him on the spot after discussing his personal style, background, experience and approach to his work. His pricing was very reasonable and less than we expected for the entire package which included 2 photographers for 8 hours each on the wedding day. On the wedding day Joe, and his assistant Ron, were extremely easy to work with, were completely accommodating and never caused any inconvenience to the bridal party or the guests. Joe made sure he got all of the important shots of the wedding ceremony, the family photos, the reception, etc. Joe and Ron were completely professional, friendly, courteous, worked around our activities, provided guidance and recommendations for poses and were happy to shoot any special requests. Much of the time we hardly knew Joe and Ron were there. In the end, we received hundreds of great, creative shots including many action and candid shots. We appreciate the dedication by Joe and Ron to our daughter’s wedding and enthusiastically recommend Joe Cutalo Photography.

en we hesitated to give an answer he asked us just to think of the places that were significant to our relationship and the places we loved to go together. It was as if he knew that is what we needed to hear - and it put us immediately at ease. We had come into the situation feeling that we had to have the perfect location for these photos, thinking that was the most important thing to insure that they looked amazing. Speaking with Joe reminded us that as long as we were having fun in the photos, the love and happiness we share would come through regardless of the location. He made it extraordinarily easy for us to enjoy the process. On the day of the shoot Joe was accompanied by his wife, Amanda - they worked together seamlessly. I really appreciated having Amanda there with us, she was another creative voice and I was sure she would have told me if I had lipstick on my teeth. Everyone in our family loved the photos and we couldn't be happier with them. He really captured who we are as a couple, the way we interact with each other, and what our relationship means to us. The quality and resolution of the photos was phenomenal so we had no issues whatsoever when we had a few prints made. Joe not only e-mailed us the photos, but he uploaded them onto his website. This gave us the opportunity to share the photos with friends and family that live further away from us. We were so in awe of the entire experience and so grateful for Joe's keen eye and his ability to capture even the most fleeting of moments that we asked him to photograph our engagement party and our bridal shower. Our experience with Joe Cutalo was as close to a perfect as we could have hoped for.

We were planning a simpler ceremony and reception at the Off-Broadstreet Theater in Hopewell and wanted the focus of the photos to be more on personalities and activities, rather than set pieces. Joe was everything you'd want in a photographer: * attentive: listening carefully to our thoughts and preferences for our dream shots * detail-oriented: coming to our venue two weeks before the date to walk through the venue + iron out details, and following up on all of our emails with plenty of details * creative & resourceful: worked with us on all the details of the lighting in the theater, took many amazing photos with his own vision based on some of the rough ideas we thought up, finding vendors to work with to make our album customized to what we wanted * organized: asking for our shot list in advance and bringing the list with him to make sure we got all the group shots we wanted * patient! In summary, Joe is as close as you can get to a mind-reader in a photographer. Both Joe and his second photographer (Bernadette) were complete naturals, knowing when to give us input and when to step back and capture moments from a distance. Since the theater was on the darker side, Joe worked with the theater on stage lighting to make sure the photos of the ceremony were balanced. He also had a great sense of humor and put everyone at ease. All of the ladies who helped me get ready thought Joe was a natural at capturing the special moments of us getting ready while giving us space to do what we needed. I also loved how Joe & Bernadette worked together and bounced ideas off each other for our couple shots. They clearly respected each other and worked well together and it showed in our gorgeous couple shots. It's obvious that Joe is passionate about photography, has a great eye, and is eager to share his talent & thoughts on photography to capture your special day. We could not be more thrilled with how our wedding photos turned out and we love looking through the photos to relive the magic of our special day. Joe spent a lot of effort afterwards to edit the photos, put together our album, and create the right background/atmosphere effects in our shots. After seeing the photos, one of my friends who got married last year commented that she wished her photographer had done as good a job as Joe did! I completely trust his vision for capturing any event and we look forward to having him continue to take more photos of us as we grow our family.
