Joe and Elin were incredible and we couldn’t recommend them more! They did our engagement shoot and wedding day photography and every photo came out beautiful. They were extremely helpful and knowledgable when it came to the best poses, lighting, and background, and their creativity definitely shown through. On a personal note, they were extremely kind, accessible, and fun to work with, and our guests raved about how much they loved them at our reception. We hired Joe and Elin to photograph our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. Very personable and the "sneak peak" photos they have already sent us are beautiful. They had multiple packages to choose from. Some of which include beautifully put together albums and I cannot wait to see ours. We were able to view some of these in their studio prior to hiring them. They even surprised us with a framed 8x10 photo during our reception. I HIGHLY recommend Joe and Elin to photograph your wedding! They are personable and made my husband and I feel very comfortable taking so many photos on our wedding day. My husband hates setting his photos taken but he had so much fun working with Joe and Elin! They were willing to take pictures in the rain and take a golf cart onsite so we could get beautiful photos on the golf course. We LOVED working with Joe! From the beginning he was easy going, really wanted to understand ideas and our story and very thorough with getting information prior to our big day! He was always very prompt in his responses, friendly, and flexible. He made sure all the photos we wanted on our list were captured and went right along with our requests! Joe was incredible to work with for our Worcester wedding and we strongly urge anybody looking for a photographer to check him out. The great thing about evaluating photographers is that their work will speak for itself, so check out his online gallery and know that our photos were of similar quality and artistry, he has a talent for capturing every incredible moment. Aside from photos: Joe is just a really good guy and wonderful to work with. From our first consultation through picking up the final albums, he is attentive to his clients and really takes the time to understand their needs. He is very experienced and covered things that we never would have considered and provided great advice based on our day-of timeline and our venues. During the events, he blended into the crowd and somehow managed to capture incredible moments without us realizing he was there; I did several double-takes when viewing our photos because I honestly had no idea he was shooting at certain points. He took stunning, phenomenal, downright perfect pictures of everything throughout the day. He had a great eye for picking out specific spots to shoot. Overall he's an excellent photographer, efficient at working through shot lists and maximizing location options, and can unobtrusively ninja through a reception to get pictures that capture the authentic moments through the evening. While we don’t plan on having another wedding, we do plan on using Joe Dolen Photography in the future.

Joe and Elin have photographed my family for over a decade and helped capture my families special moments. When my wife and I got married I knew we had to choose them as our photographers. They are tentative, walk you through the whole process of when and where pictures will be taken, help provide direction so photos look natural as opposed to stiff and awkward, and even gave us a framed picture the night of our wedding. A couple days after they offered us a sneak peek of our wedding before giving us our full album and the sneak peek was enough to be a wedding album itself. We were fortunate to work with Joe Dolen Photography for our two weddings- a small ceremony in 2020, and our larger celebration in 2022. We contacted Joe on a whim shortly before our 2020 wedding which we put together in just 5 weeks due to a family member’s terminal diagnosis. Joe was flexible, patient, kind, and compassionate given our family’s situation at the time. We are so grateful that we have wedding photos with our family member who has since passed away. We had no hesitations in hiring Joe and Elin to shoot our larger celebration in 2022. Joe and Elin knew our venue well and helped us to take some great shots all over the property. We included our beloved dog in our wedding, and Joe and Elin got some amazing shots of him too. Again, Joe and Elin were flexible, kind, easy going, and relaxed. Many of our guests commented on how great our photographers were interpersonally. In addition their great interpersonal skills at our wedding, our full albums turned out to be just stunning. That level of communication, sensing I was freaking out a bit, meant so much to me. They didn’t seem phased by the snow at all, and we rolled with the weather and got some amazing pictures. One of my favorite memories of the day was watching Joe all bundled up, yelling over the blizzard-like winds, organizing my bridal party of 20 to get the best pictures I could imagine. Joe and Elin really went above and beyond to make my day so special, and I am so happy we chose them!

From our engagement shoot to our wedding, Joe has done an amazing job capturing our love and happiness on camera! We got married at the Salem Cross Inn (same place as Joe and his wife!) so we knew picked right from the very beginning! From our first meeting Joe was such a resource to us, helping to answer all our questions and scheduling out a timeline for the day. It was an all out downpour the day of our wedding - but Joe took it in stride and managed to find some time during the day that it wasn't pouring out to get us outside and snap the wedding pictures of our dreams! Joe was so easy going and attentive and we could not be more grateful or recommend him enough!

Joe was an amazing photographer for our back yard wedding. We had 4 dogs in our wedding and he was great with them! He got the best picture of us with the dogs. He was very responsive with emails before the wedding. He was flexible (we had to change the date 3 times and he was very understanding). We got all of our photos back 3 weeks after the wedding! He is very nice and friendly and does a great job. We would highly recommend him to anyone.

My Husband and I have used Joe 3 times in the last year. We had him do our engagement and wedding photos last fall and most recently had him do newborn pictures of our daughter.
