et me share the Whole story. First off you mention that Draping and lighting was insufficient, Minus some dance lights that were suppose to go on the stage that couldn't because the band didn't allow any room for them the drape is exactly what we agreed on after multiple meetings and photos shared back n fourth. Yes there were items not completed cause as i made you aware early in the day, One of my event managers had his second child at 6am the day of your wedding. Im sorry but i am not the type of boss to force my employee to come to work especially after having a child. I had my other manager come in hrs early to load in and setup your event, as we had 5 events that day and i was 2hrs away in napa doing one of them that was my only choice. I also called in additional helpers to complete as much as they can. As for the leaving before the reception, there was never any communication or charge to keep a tech on property during the event. As everything we did was static items minus the dance lighting what was just a turn on function. Also to add i had called my dad to head to the venue and turn on all the lighting that my crew had installed earlier in the day. I rushed from napa to arrive at your wedding only 10 minutes after you and your group had enter the reception to ensure everything i could do was done and it was. I made some basic adjustments without interrupting your wedding. Then i left rite after you had your first dance, i then went to go eat for the first time of the day. I then receive a phone call from you as you stated that the lighting looks like a doctors office and i need to come fix it now. As i had just received my dinner at the restaurant i ate as fast as i could and rushed back. As i arrive at the venue i look around and the "bright light" that is making the "Doctor" Looks was a super bright wash light that was provided by the band or photographer, everything i did looked just as i had left it based after what we agreed on. I then made sure to locate you and explain that the doctor look was provided by a light from the band of photographer at which point you took me to your husband who was so drunk wouldn't listen to me as i explain the bright light has nothing to do with what i did. No matter what i said or explained to him all he did was swear at me and yell at me with all your guest around when the issue had nothing to do with me. Touching on leading up to the wedding and looking back at all transactions, We met 3 times in person at the venue which is my standard, 1 concept meeting, 1 Meeting with venue to go over timing and details, Then one final meeting to ensure placement and everything is what you wanted. if you stating it took me days to return calls even though all emails were responded within 24hrs, this was during peak wedding season on a very busy weekend so yea i may have taken me more then 24-48hrs to respond to a phone call but emails were all answered within 24hrs as i can do it when i get home late. To touch on the 40% refunded, the day after the wedding or maybe even the night of the wedding i wrote you a email explaining everything in this email and how terrible sorry i am on the mistakes that happened and offer a refund for not only everything that wasn't done but additional items that i felt weren't to my par when i arrived. I then received a threatening letter from your husband that if i didn't refund you 3/4 of the invoice price that he would sue me for not only the entire invoice but 20k for emotional Destress. Coming from someone that had nothing to do with the wedding minus one meeting that he attended. Next as for the time to get a refund yes it took me awhile the amount agreed on to refund was a lot i am a small business and don't have that kind of cash just laying around. lastly for your comment that you should have paid more attention to the Negative reviews, Joe Squared productions produces over 300-350 events a Yr, so the maybe what 5 events on this page with bad reviews over the 10yrs i will accept, Things happen we are all human, I admitted multiple times things happened and apologized multiple times . But for everything we did for your wedding there was maybe 5% incorrect or not completed. So again I'm sorry you feel the way you do about the things that happened and I'm sorry that they happened but i needed to explain my side of this story.
