Over the course of the year after booking the event, the owner changed his mind and stated he'd have to charge us for things he'd previously promised at no charge-we had to lose a key element of our reception that we were very much looking forward to because he changed his mind and said he'd have to charge us. The actual event itself went well-the room was pretty well prepared, the staff, servers and bartenders were really friendly. My only complaint about the day of is that nobody told us that the buffet was ready to be served-we were starving waiting for them to bring the food out and it seemed like it took forever. I very much feel that their lack of experience in hosting formal events shows through-the owner tends to say what people want to hear to get their business and then changes his mind when reality sets in, so prospective customers should encourage them to fully research costs involved if you want something out of the ordinary to avoid surprises down the line. Oh, and keep an eye on your cake-they lost our cake pillars, and we lost out on a $50 deposit from the bakery. They said they put the pillars in one of our bags, but they were nowhere to be found. While overall I felt they did a pretty good job, I did feel let down by the price for what we received.
