Joey G helped make our event perfect and did a fantastic job the entire night - better than we imagined!
For wedding prep, ...
he sent us a questionnaire to fill out our requests/ideas for specific songs (i.e., processional, first dance) and general music themes (i.e., cocktail hour, during dinner), then had a call with us to go over everything and make sure he was pronouncing our wedding party members’ names correctly. In general, Joey was faster to respond via phone than email, so we recommend getting his phone number to get quick responses. Before the wedding, we provided some songs we wanted and he played them and seamlessly added more songs that fit the same vibe. He did a great job during the reception keeping the energy up and playing into the music that guests liked. He made sure to cater to all age groups, playing music to get older guests dancing earlier and music to keep younger guests dancing as it got later. Joey was very communicative with us during the event, which we appreciated greatly, and adaptable to our last minute music requests and timing of events changes. We also appreciated his accessibility the week of the wedding. He was happy to play songs we suggested on the day, and had good energy and a smile the whole event.
He is an upbeat guy and seemed happy to be making other people happy. Would recommend!!!
Wow, what an amazing DJ! Joey is incredibly talented, professional, and full of energy. Our wedding was relatively small, with fewer than 50 guests, but it felt like there were 100...
people there because the dance floor was packed all night.
The next day, several of our guests told us it was the first wedding they had ever attended where they never left the dance floor. We had a wide variety of music genres and a very diverse crowd, yet every song seemed to keep people engaged and having a great time.
If I ever host another event, Joey will be my first call. Thank you for creating such an amazing, upbeat, non-stop party and helping make our wedding truly unforgettable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
At first, Joey seemed like a perfect fit for us! We scheduled phone calls to go over playlists and to go over details, which at the time it seemed great!
Day of the wedding, he ...
shows up to the ceremony dressed in sweatpants and zip up jacket, didn’t know when to stop the ceremony music and had to be reminded by our event coordinator to do so, and then went AWOL during cocktail hour. While he did come back, our event coordinator had to find him and then ended up having to supervise him for most of the night, as he seemed like he was impaired. He was also late with the introduction songs for the wedding party. He didn’t have a microphone, as his conveniently broke on his way to the venue.
He did redeem himself (kind of) for the remainder of the night, but he didn’t really play any slow songs and played the YMCA three times in a row.
Be careful if you hire him
Helped ensure our associate party was moving and grooving all night. Kept the dance floor lit!!! Took request throughout the night and kept everyone happy. Thanks again Joey
Joey absolutely crushed it. From the very first song, the dance floor was packed and it stayed that way all night. He has an amazing ability to read the room and keep everyone enga...
ged, and his energy really set the tone for the entire reception. He’s also incredibly personable and connected easily with our guests. We had several people come up to us during and after the wedding saying how great he was and that he’s the best wedding DJ they’ve ever seen. He played a huge role in making the night as fun and memorable as it was, and we couldn’t recommend him more.
Attentive and a good vibe with DJ Joey. He had up-lights, equipment and music ready to party. My husbands 50th birthday was lots of fun because of the music. Thank you DJ Joey!
Joey never showed up to our wedding. We paid in full before the wedding, had a call to discuss everything, then he never showed up. He evaded all calls from us, our wedding coordin...
ator, and venue during the wedding. He proceeded to not answer us for days. When he finally answered my call, it seemed like he answered by accident and guaranteed us our money back immediately. I had to call him for another day and a half before he sent our money back on venmo without ever answering our calls.
!!! MUST READ !!!

g the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, he was also superb. He did a very fine job incorporating our own requests while also incorporating his own musical "flavor" into the set — something that we asked him to do. He even danced a little bit with our guests and took some selfies with everyone, we loved it.
If we ever have a need for a DJ again, Joey G will definitely be at the top of our list.
If we could give Joey G ten stars, we would...because he was beyond awesome. From great communication early on and leading up to my son's wedding, to the incredibly fun and vibrant...

And as a bonus...he's just a really warm and genuinely nice guy. You should hire him without hesitation!
While planning my wedding, I struggled to find a DJ that felt like my "vibe." All the DJs I found were much older, wore top hats, and felt a little "stuffy" (I'm sure they are fant...
astic, just not what I was looking for). I reached out to my photographer and explained to her that I was looking for someone a little more my vibe - someone who would crank Cardi B and come on the dance floor with me. Without hesitation, she said, Joey G is EXACTLY that. Turns out, she was right! Not only was Joey timely, professional, and organized, he was also super freaking cool and fun and personable. We had a few transitions between songs that were pretty specific for certain entrances and dances, and he nailed all of them (I have always had NIGHTMARES of my DJ playing the wrong song at an important moment lol). A few of our friends even said they wanted to hire him for their weddings! I won't lie - Joey even made it to our after party and was SUPER fun to hangout with! He crushed it, and I would hire him again in a heartbeat!! THANK YOU, JOEY!!!!

ntly checked in with us to confirm details and make changes as needed. He brought such a positive vibe to the wedding and had guests dancing all night. He was great at reading the crowd and guests were saying, “I have to use the restroom, but I don’t want to miss a good song!” At one point, Joey G joined us on the dance floor and it was an absolute blast! Not only that, but throughout the night he kept checking in with us to make sure we were happy and having fun. We truly look forward to the chance at working with DJ Joey G again. o nice on the phone. Even though most of our music was 1950s-80s, and other DJs were unable to accommodate, he said he was able to do it without batting an eye. He confirmed pronunciation of names and execution of the ceremony music was *flawless.* The reception was a great party and he was a wonderful emcee, getting the crowd jazzed for toasts and passing the mic to the crowd during favourites. The best entertainment!
