DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!!! My best friend and her new husband hired Joey to do their wedding for this past new years eve (12/31/24). He proceeded to show up to the wedding location 2 hours later than he was supposed to, and he completely missed the ceremony and cocktail hour due to being too impaired to perform-the workers at the venue had to create playlists themselves last minute to play AND they had to also scramble to find a microphone for the ceremony because the DJ was not able to provide one like he said he would do. He was completely unintelligible when speaking, so the assistant to the wedding coordinator that the bride hired had to take over and do all the announcements throughout the night. There were multiple times throughout the reception where he would leave the DJ table for extended periods of time, which would then result it large time frames where no music was playing. He also did not follow the prescribed playlist provided by the bride at all, repeated songs multiple times and his mixes were choppy. I highly suggest never hiring this man!
DO NOT HIRE!! I REPEAT DO NOT HIRE! we hired Joey for our wedding and he showed up extremely late, he missed the entire ceremony and cocktail hour which left the venue and wedding coordinator scrambling to make it all work over Bluetooth speakers. When Joey did show up he was noticeably impaired to the point that my best man and made of honor had to ask him if he was f***ed up. He proceeded to not play the music we asked during dinner and even tried to sing during my mother son dance. I also watched him trip over his equipment multiple times and at one point had fallen on the ground and unplugged his equipment. The staff had to help him up, he was also seen leaving the room multiple times and stumbling in the hallway along falling over into a coat rack. He did not play any of the music we asked and would not listen to the staff or anyone else. All the reviews by the time we booked were solid 5 star reviews but we booked months in advance. others have had this same exact issue with Joey since this past October according to other reviews found on numerous websites like zola. Again I know this is only one bad review but please if this reaches anyone trying to find a dj for their wedding DO NOT HIRE Joey or you will be sorry

Based on previous reviews, we were confident this DJ would be great. We hired Joey for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, but he showed up extremely late—after both the ceremony and cocktail hour already ended. To make matters worse, the DJ appeared impaired, stumbling multiple times and leaning against walls for support. He also messed with the volume constantly, making it uncomfortable for guests, and there were long, awkward pauses between songs that completely killed the atmosphere.
Key moments were ruined due to poor song choices, sloppy transitions, and a complete lack of professionalism. We would not recommend Joey to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled DJ.

Joey was amazing. He did a great job at our wedding at the botanical gardens. His set up for our ceremony was perfect and he kept everyone on the dance floor the whole night. 10/10 would recommend.

Joey G. made our wedding reception SO much fun!!! He was awesome at getting everyone up to dance, and his MC skills are fantastic. So many of our wedding guests came up to us at the end of the night to tell us how great he was! The flow of everything was perfect, and his positive attitude was super infectious. If you’re looking for a DJ, look no further!!
My spouse and I loved having Joey G as our wedding DJ. Prior to the wedding, he was very easy to communicate with and he made sure that our preferences were his top priority. During the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, he was also superb. He did a very fine job incorporating our own requests while also incorporating his own musical "flavor" into the set — something that we asked him to do. He even danced a little bit with our guests and took some selfies with everyone, we loved it.
If we ever have a need for a DJ again, Joey G will definitely be at the top of our list.
If we could give Joey G ten stars, we would...because he was beyond awesome. From great communication early on and leading up to my son's wedding, to the incredibly fun and vibrant atmosphere he helped create at the wedding itself...everyone just loved Joey G.
And as a bonus...he's just a really warm and genuinely nice guy. You should hire him without hesitation!
While planning my wedding, I struggled to find a DJ that felt like my "vibe." All the DJs I found were much older, wore top hats, and felt a little "stuffy" (I'm sure they are fantastic, just not what I was looking for). I reached out to my photographer and explained to her that I was looking for someone a little more my vibe - someone who would crank Cardi B and come on the dance floor with me. Without hesitation, she said, Joey G is EXACTLY that. Turns out, she was right! Not only was Joey timely, professional, and organized, he was also super freaking cool and fun and personable. We had a few transitions between songs that were pretty specific for certain entrances and dances, and he nailed all of them (I have always had NIGHTMARES of my DJ playing the wrong song at an important moment lol). A few of our friends even said they wanted to hire him for their weddings! I won't lie - Joey even made it to our after party and was SUPER fun to hangout with! He crushed it, and I would hire him again in a heartbeat!! THANK YOU, JOEY!!!!
Absolutely incredible DJ, we couldn’t have asked for a better night! Joey kept the party going, took all of our recommendations and tailored the evening to our desire while maintaining an beautiful balance of professionalism and comfort. My mother had requested a few songs that played when my dad had wandered off, so Joey made sure to make my mom feel special and had a nice dance with her! Our ceremony music was perfect, and the lighting throughout the reception matched our theme. Reserve him for any of your DJ needs!
Joey G nailed it. Based on his demeanor during our initial consultation and his reputation, we were expecting great things - Joey delivered on all fronts. We wanted very different music at different points of the event, and Joey read the room at each point providing exactly the vibe we were looking for. Our guests were tearing it up on the dance floor all night long thanks to Joey's ability to know exactly what song would get more people out of their seats. We can't thank him enough and we can't recommend him enough! Thanks Joey!
Joey was so much fun! He got everyone out on the dance floor, from the oldest to the youngest, and even got into a dance-off with my husband during one of his favorite Michael Jackson songs! The light effects he did were awesome, too. 10/10 would recommend.
Joey was excellent at our cocktail style reception. He did a great job at reading the room and getting everyone dancing! I had a mixed crowd of guests who listen to latin music and folks who didn't. Everyone was dancing no matter the genre! My guests said they've never danced so much at a wedding before! Thank you, Joey G :)
We are so happy that we booked Joey G for our wedding! Our guests are still telling us how much fun they had dancing. Joey was extremely professional and attentive on the day, always checking in with us to make sure we were happy with everything. I cannot rave enough about how AMAZING Joey was!!!!! He had our guests on the dance floor all night long and really set the vibes for an incredible evening! He took the time to learn about me and my fiancés tastes in music and had such a great mix of songs we both like! We cannot say enough good things Joey G! We honestly don’t think we could’ve chose a better DJ. He was punctual, professional, but most of all fun! He made planning easy and frequently checked in with us to confirm details and make changes as needed. He brought such a positive vibe to the wedding and had guests dancing all night. He was great at reading the crowd and guests were saying, “I have to use the restroom, but I don’t want to miss a good song!” At one point, Joey G joined us on the dance floor and it was an absolute blast! Not only that, but throughout the night he kept checking in with us to make sure we were happy and having fun. We truly look forward to the chance at working with DJ Joey G again. If you need a wedding DJ and want someone fun, who gets the party started, super friendly, and knows how to deliver when it comes to music-

Joey was so much fun to work with! He was very personable and professional. The music through the ceremony and reception was exactly what we envisioned and he kept the party moving all night long! He read the room during the reception perfectly, as well as effortlessly transitioning to our most important songs. You can truly see how much he loves what he does and it shows through his work! Joey was a hit at our wedding! He really catered to us and our guests and kept the dance floor going. He checked in with us throughout the night and made sure we were okay with the music he was playing. Our guests couldn't stay off the dance floor and raved about Joey and how accommodating he was with their requests. We had so much fun and we couldn't thank Joey enough to helping to make our wedding day so special.

We found Joey on the knot and my gosh we knew he was perfect for what we wanted for our September wedding. Joey has so many amazing add ons for an affordable price. We wanted someone who would know how to read the room, play all of our must haves, and know how to get our Spanish family dancing. Many of our guests loved how he transitioned into the next song and how he kept many wanting to come back to the dance floor; Myself included. Joey is a professional and incredibly organized. He made the wedding so much more fun. We cannot recommend him enough.

From start to finish, we had an amazing experience with Joey G! He has a lot of experience with our venue and they could not recommend him enough. He is super fast to respond and so nice on the phone. Even though most of our music was 1950s-80s, and other DJs were unable to accommodate, he said he was able to do it without batting an eye. He confirmed pronunciation of names and execution of the ceremony music was *flawless.* The reception was a great party and he was a wonderful emcee, getting the crowd jazzed for toasts and passing the mic to the crowd during favourites. The best entertainment!

Joey G was absolutely fantastic! From our very first conversation all the way through the big day, he was super responsive, professional, personable, and accommodating. He really made us feel so at ease about the whole thing. At the wedding he did an amazing job with all the song switches at the ceremony and had everyone out on the dance floor until the last song at the reception. He even came out to the dance floor himself and gave us all an opportunity to show off our singing skills with the mic 🤣 Everyone commented on how great he was. We honestly couldn’t recommend Joey G enough. Amazing experience from start to finish!
Joey killed it at our wedding. He was extremely accommodating and had the dance floor going all night! If there were any changes or songs to be played he went with it and made our night so special and easy. I was a guest at a wedding where Joey kept the energy level at a 10 the whole time! He was engaging, fun, and really seemed to feed off the crowd. Everyone knows the dance floor is the best way to judge a wedding and his dance floor was a hit!

Joey, is awesome! I was so stressed and overwhelmed with planning my wedding that I forgot to send over my timeline and song playlist to Joey until like a day or two before my wedding. He was so understanding and accommodating throughout my tardiness on the timeline and playlist and he still pulled it off on the day of my wedding, and made it a fun and memorable experience. My wedding guests and family loved him. He was very professional but fun and entertaining at the same time. You can really tell that he loves and has a passion for what he does because he is very friendly, sweet and has such an infectious personally with a lot of energy. He was so fun and good at his job that he had my guests getting up out of their seats during dinner time (with those bangers) because they just wanted to dance and have a good time. I highly recommend Joey!! He has all the add on services as well like lightning, fog machine, monogram projection and etc. He is awesome and such a vibe. Thank you again Joey for pulling everything off at such last minute (on my part) and making my wedding day so special and memorable!
We were hesitant to hire a DJ unknown to us because of the wide variety of music we wanted. We had a mostly country ceremony, wedding classics at cocktail hour, and wanted lots of party faves/brazilian funk/reggaetone played and he did not disappoint! Joey made sure to take the time to pronounce everyone’s names correctly, he took requests all evening long and everytime i looked over at him he seemed to be enjoying himself as much as everyone else was!
Joey G almost singlehandedly made our amazing wedding a stand-out amongst our friends and family. He came highly recommended and we simply could not have done better with him rocking the stand as our DJ. From seamlessly weaving songs together to him letting us know when tasteful suggestions came in from friends and family, he always was in the right place at the right time. I cannot recommend him more than telling each and every person reading this that Joey G is a perfect professional and an incredible DJ to add to your event. Joey is the man. If you’re in the New England area & searching for the right DJ, he should be your first call. Not only was he super accommodating when I had to change our wedding date due to the pandemic, but he showed up to our wedding & completely knocked it out of the park. Everyone was up dancing all night long, & there were so many people who asked me who he was because they wanted him for their next event. I also had a photo montage that wasn’t working on my IPad, and he made it a point to bring other options so I could play it the day of without technical difficulties. Thank you SO MUCH Joey for making our wedding so memorable & ensuring we had a great time! We will be hiring you again! ❤️❤️

He made us feel so comfortable as if we’ve been friends for years from the ceremony music to cocktail hour to the reception every song was on point!! 10/10 recommend! Recently hired for my wedding and all of my guest were dancing all night. Listened to my request of what I wanted played as well as songs we did not. Would not change a thing - super accommodating. Had the music going until the venue kicked us out! Thank you for everything. Will be using and recommending to friends for future events.
Beat DJ and MC ever!! Working with Joey was easy, He was responsive, asked us questions, Helped us make sense of the reception timeline, and was very organized. When it came to the wedding day Joey crushed it! He was funny and brought great energy. The music was spot on for timing in our ceremony. The audio was clear and crisp. There was never a dull moment in our reception! Every guest we’ve seen since the wedding talks about how much they loved our DJ.

Oh my gosh I can’t emphasize enough how amazing our experience with Joey G Entertainment was! They were incredibly easy to work with leading up to our wedding, and was flexible with me taking forEVER to get my song list sent. At the wedding Joey and his MC were electric!! They got us and our guests on our feet and dancing for hours even in 90 degree summer weather. They exceeded every expectation we had. They will certainly make your wedding even more memorable!
Joey G. and his MC Alex were the best entertainment crew we could have asked for our wedding. They handled the entire day with the utmost professionalism and went above and beyond to make sure the day went exactly how my wife and I wanted things. Their flexibility, combined with the energy and enthusiasm to make sure everyone was having a good time was outstanding. I would recommend Joey G for any wedding/function/birthday/you name it. Joey G and he emcee that came with him (Alex J) Brought their A game. Our wedding reception was a PARTY. They kept the vibe going, pumped everyone up and were so great. Joey also did my ceremony music perfectly, and Uplighting. He was so easy to work with. He has great energy and wants everyone to have a great time. Hire him for your wedding you won’t regret it.
Joey is the BEST DJ - hands down! Our guests had the best time and can't stop telling us how much fun they had. Since our wedding was taking place in RI during the pandemic, we knew we couldn't have dancing, but Joey kept the party going by keeping the guests entertained in other creative, social distancing-friendly ways. He and the MC, Alex, were the greatest duo and kept everyone's energy levels high throughout the whole night. For many of our guests, this was the first time getting out of the house and going anywhere in months. Joey G and Alex had everyone laughing, smiling, and feeling normal - something most of us haven't felt since before March. We can't recommend Joey enough!!!
Joey exceeded our expectations. A DJ can either make or break your wedding and he definitely made our wedding! We gave him permission to play whatever he wanted and every song was a hit. He kept the party going all night long. Book him, you won’t regret it!

He was very considerate and excellent to what my wife and I wanted… and we are a pretty particular couple. Played great music and really got the party started. He really made my wedding extra special and did not have to worry one bit about the entertainment during dinner, dance music, and all the extra stuff we requested from him. You played a perfect variation of music that allowed all of our guests to enjoy our special day. Everyone had a blast and danced the night away.
