From the moment I saw Joey's work, I knew he had to photograph our wedding! As soon as I showed my now-husband, he agreed. We immediately set up a call with Joey to talk about style, vision, etc and an hour later, we booked! He was attentive, helpful, excited, passionate, professional, and we hit it off. Soon after, we had Joey come to NYC for our engagement session. We had the best day! We took photos at multiple spots around the city and they are spectacular. Joey has an incredible talent for capturing the person and our photographs really reflect that. They are just perfection! We chatted a few times leading up to the wedding (he is always extremely responsive) and he helped me to create a timeline of events for the day-of. On the day, Joey was incredible! He showed up early to scout out locations for bridal portraits, groomsmen photos, first look photos, family, and wedding party photos. He was constantly on the go with his assistant making sure he captured every aspect of the day. He was with us from the beginning until the very end and was joyful, energetic, fun, and professional the entire time. The next day he sent me preview photos that took everyone's breath away. The love, happiness, and personality coming out of the photos is magic! Joey was so much fun to work with and I can't wait to find another project to work with him again! I cannot speak highly enough of him or his talent and would recommend him to everyone!

Joey is awesome to work with. His photos came out better than I could have ever expected. He makes sure everyone is having a good time, and the photos never felt stilted or posed. Joey was great from beginning to end. He was super accommodating with the various events associated with our Indian wedding (even dividing the coverage over two days of events), and flew out to Northern California for both our engagement session and our wedding. He is very communicative and makes sure we stay on task while also making sure that the wedding is fun and you are having a good time. When I found out I had a family member who was sick after the wedding, he helped me get downloadable copies of all the photos so I could print them out. Everytime I see the pictures again, I truly get to relive every moment from the wedding! Totally worth it, and absolutely no regrets choosing Joey as our wedding photographer.

The first time I spoke with Joey I joked with him that I had known who my photographer was longer than I knew who my future husband was! I had seen Joey's work years before I had gotten engaged, and knew from the moment I met him that he was a necessary part of my future wedding. He was honestly the first person I called to lock into my wedding- yes, he is worth it! As you can see on his blog and social media, his work is absolutely stunning, and the minute he signed on to photograph my wedding day I breathed a HUGE breath of relief. I knew that no matter the weather, or day, that the photos would be magazine worthy, and the wedding day would be perfect. He was available all year for any questions I had, and spent time on the phone with me planning out our day and helping me to establish a day of time line (with things I had never thought of myself!). He also traveled to Cleveland, OH for our wedding day and came out the night before to select the best areas (with the most amazing lighting). He had a plan for the wedding- and the end result is perfect! My entire family, friends, and husband are absolutely blown away at his talent, and the photos that he took we will cherish forever. The day of the wedding was such a breeze, (we had never taken professional photos) Joey was directing and complimenting the entire time which made us at ease!!!! I would recommend him to everyone who wants to be assured that your photos WILL be amazing, you will have a low stress day, and he will help with making sure your day is the best of your life. No matter the destination of your wedding, he will provide you with the most gorgeous memories. I can't stress how beautiful his photos are, and what an overall amazing human he is <3 He was worth everything and much, much more. We will find every excuse to use him in the future.. !!!! <3

I can not say enough about Joey! He is absolutely fantastic. The quality of his work is amazing- the lighting he is able to capture is nothing like I've ever seen. He is hands down the best photographer I know! Outside of his incredible work, he is an absolute pleasure to work with. A week or so before the wedding, he spent over an hour with me on the phone; walking me through the day of, the schedule, all of the details, etc. He calmed my nerves and the plan he put in place was so rock solid - he made me so excited for my big day! All of my friends and family loved him on our big day and he was so energetic, friendly, and just a joy to work with. He made everyone feel so comfortable and relaxed- I don't know what we would have done without him. If you are looking for a photographer, look no further! Joey is your guy!

Joey is worth his weight in gold!! He is such an incredible artist with an amazing eye for classic, timeless images. We actually flew him out to Boston from Pittsburgh because we just couldn't find anyone we liked as much as him! My husband and I aren't particularly comfortable in front of a camera, so we wanted someone who could give us guidance and direction and help us get those magical shots vs. just hanging back and shooting from the shadows. Joey was so amazing- we had a long phone chat the week before the wedding where he helped us figure out the timeline and offered some great suggestions about transportation, etc that really made the day flow perfectly. On the day of, he was almost like an extra wedding coordinator, making sure we were right on schedule and corralling our giant wedding party when necessary :) He was cheerful and energetic and wonderful and all of the guests kept commenting on how great our photographer was. As far as the photos go- we COULD NOT BE HAPPIER. It was a freezing cold day, rainy at times, and somehow in the pictures it looks like it was warm and sunny-- how is that possible?! If you want stuffy, posed prom photos or stereotypical lineups of bridal parties and families, look elsewhere. Joey was so amazing at giving (gentle) direction and wound up capturing the most beautiful, natural, timeless-looking photos I have ever seen. I honestly have never felt more beautiful than I do when I look at our wedding photos. Thank you for everything, Joey!! We love you!

I would like to take the time to write a review about Photographer Joey Kennedy. I live in Minneapolis and am from Pittsburgh - (where my wedding was) so I was determined but not expecting to find my perfect photographer. I searched online for hours one night and then stumbled across his blog.. and was thrilled because I found the aesthetic that I was looking for. I met with him shortly after on a trip to Pitt and was hopeful he had the date open and we could make it work. His full portfolio was stunning. I then left PRAYING he had my wedding date open. Luck had it and he did..i was so excited. Next meeting was to try to explain my VERY particular aesthetic. I thought I would have to show him pictures and go in to detailed explanation and nope he got it immediately... I left that meeting feeling better than ever (pictures were my most important detail of wedding) Next, was wedding pictures... I knew they would be good but the few I saw went well beyond my expectations- I was actually amazed. They were more than what I even hoped for and I didn't know that was possible.... I am so excited to see the rest! Who knew someone could be so excited about pictures! Even my husband is ecstatic with the pics! Lastly, Joey is very professional and friendly. I am pretty sure he made friends with everyone at my wedding. He also made sure to get every shot he wanted, very enthusiastic and didn't miss a beat. Long story short, I feel it imperative to take the time to write this review because Joey has given me priceless memories that will last a lifetime- absolutely stunning, wedding pictures that you think can only exist in the magazines! And to top it off just a nice person who you can feel that passion he has for photography just being around him.

Passionate, energetic, thorough, patient and enthusiastic are just a few words that come to mind when i think of Joey and his team. But if i had to sum his work up into just one word, it would be ART. When my fiancee and I got engaged and started wedding planning he was adamant that we use Joey Kennedy for our pictures. My husband is also an artist and he said that Joey's photography is on another level; it is not a photo, it is ART. He sees things that no one else can see: angles, light, colors and composition. As the shopper that I am, I did not feel 100% comfortable not looking at any other photographers but I gave in and agreed to meet with him. I was familiar with some of Joey's work for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and was highly impressed with the shots that he had taken but was not sure if his style would convert well into wedding photography. I decided to visit his wedding website and that shut down any concerns that I had. My husband was absolutely right, what I saw on the screen had more movement, spirit, life and energy than some of the people that I see walking down Smithfield Street in real life! So we reached out to him and heard back almost immediately. We met at his studio a few days later and he gave us the opportunity to look through his portfolio and ask questions. I was so impressed by his portfolio. It was not the same posed pictures with the man and woman standing side-by-side smiling that we see all the time; in these pictures there were people laughing, jumping, dancing, hugging, and living. They were not posed, they were not fake, they were not forced. They were alive. Needless to say, by the end of the meeting we had booked and I was already thinking of what I was going to wear at the Engagement Shoot a whole year away! **Note to all: he books up pretty far out so contact him sooner rather than later, we actually changed the date of our wedding to accommodate his schedule. About 8 months later, i hear from Joey to plan the Engagement Shoot. He was great at listening to what we wanted and the vibe that we were looking for but I really trusted him take the lead. In addition to planning the locations of the shoot (which included us parking a car across the middle of the Rachel Carson Bridge), he also arranged a place for us to get dressed and change later that night and helped me find an amazing girl to do my make-up. When the pictures arrived a few weeks later, I was flabbergasted! I have never looked like that before. In some of them I could not believe it was me. There were so many to choose from, I still haven't picked a favorite! A few months after that, the big day arrived and Joey and his crew shined once again. He showed up nice and early to get pictures of me getting makeup and dressed while a second shooter was with my husband doing the same. After our first look session, we did the typical wedding party and family pictures and then we let him go wild! Throughout the entire evening, i felt like everywhere I looked, there he was capturing the moment but he never felt obtrusive or in the way. I could tell that he was enjoying what he was doing as much as we were which i took as a great sign. We do not have the pictures yet but I am sure they are going to be incredible. If you want pictures that have spirit, energy and beauty instead of just a plain old forced pose, Joey is your man!

I just saw my photos for the first time and I'm in love!! Joey did an amazing job of capturing the aesthetic and feel that I had in mind for my wedding day! Here was helpful to me every step of the way in my wedding planning and always had a great suggestions! He is very enthusiastic about what he does and its infectious! I would definitely recommend his wonderful talent to any of my friends or family!

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Joey Kennedy has our photographer at our wedding. We were very pleased with Joey's work for our wedding. On my wedding day, by the time I saw Joey I was running VERY late and was completely stressed and on the verge of panic. I am still amazed that in five minutes he was able to calm me down, get all the shots I wanted, rework the schedule, and get us back on track for a great day. His ability to read and manage me and our large wedding party - this alone was worth his fee. Then there are his pictures - he has a great artistic style and his work is stunning. We took Joey with us as photographer for our daughter's Alaska wedding. He is a super photographer, ready for the unexpected and with lots of creative ideas. His enthusiasm and genuine interest in people was evident throughout the trip. Joey photographed both our engagement and wedding photos, and it was the single best decision we made throughout the wedding planning process. Joey is not a photographer he is an artist. He not only captured the most important day of our lives his energy and experience helped enhance the day.

I, embarrassingly, stumbled upon Joey Kennedy before I even got engaged. Seeing his work, I knew that when the time came I absolutely wanted to book him. The photographs he takes are absolutely etherial, and that was exactly the aesthetic I was looking for. I knew that in Joey I found a photographer who loves light and romance as much as I do! When I finally met him for the first time, I found out that I loved his personality just as much as I loved his work. He is SO funny and easy to talk to - I felt like it was a perfect match. After I booked him, we waited a while to shoot our engagement photos and it was well worth the wait. He gave us exactly what we were hoping for - light, romantic, beautiful images (truly, art) that we will cherish forever. I could not be happier with the work that Joey Kennedy has done for my fiance and myself. Bill and I are honored to have had Joey Kennedy as our photographer. I was initially worried about not having a videographer, but Joey's photos so perfectly captured the emotions and experience of our wedding and reception, going through them brings us immediately back to the day. am a very different kind of bride and customer - basically I'm more demanding because I am no longer in my 20's, I know exactly what I want, I studied photography and used to work at a photography studio = nightmare client :) Before I even got engaged (although I knew it had to happen at some point in the near future) I began to research what things cost now for weddings as the past 5-10 years prices have drastically escalated along with guest and bride expectations with the introduction of Pintrest, Instagram and Facebook. So being that I studied photography I knew this was the most important thing for me to get right with my dress and venue. I wanted to know in advance who I wanted so that I did not waste time booking everything only to find out later that who I would have wanted was already booked. Before I go any further I should probably tell you that I work in advertising and my job is research, planning, and brand strategy (like I said I know exactly what I want and my attention to detail is not always well received :) ). So I naturally used my first port of call Google and then went to the Knot to find local photographers. I had no one referred to me nor did I know any in Pittsburgh anymore as I haven't lived there for years. While I was browsing through profiles, blogs, and reviews I knew exactly what I was looking for - storytelling. Nowadays with the introduction of digital anyone who owns a digital camera can claim to be a photographer but mechanics are not the same and never encompass artistic ability. I was not interested in documentation, photojournalism or photos of weddings staged insert new people each shot - I wanted magic, beauty, details of everything that I created and produced all captured beautifully to be remembered forever. Joey's style is exactly what I was looking for . . . I knew he was an artist and his photography is what I wish I had the guts and talent to do 10 years ago. So when I did get engaged I didn't book anything until I had a date that the church, reception and Joey all had available and I was lucky enough to get that solidified within two weeks of my engagement. I just got married Friday and Joey has only released four images thus far but his impact on my wedding day, my guests and my memories is everlasting. Booking a photographer whose style you like is critical but the equally important thing that most people don't understand who haven't been in the world of photography is chemistry. If you, your fiancé and bridal party don't feel comfortable in front of your photographer then you will look stiff and robotic and be devastated with the result. Having photos taken of you is a deeply intimate thing - it's not just the open and closure of the aperture it's having the ability to open your heart, relax and bare your soul. Joey has the ability to make you at ease so you can perform. My entire wedding party had an absolute blast with Joey and his assistant and the process never felt like a chore. We had so much fun we didn't want to go into the reception! As soon as Joey left everyone in my wedding party and guests commented on how great of a photographer Joey is without ever even seeing a photo - his mere presence, engaging personality, and beautiful smile all left everyone enchanted and enamored. Joey Kennedy is INCREDIBLE!!! I cannot say enough AMAZING things about him. His photos are flawless and they turned out better than I could have ever possible imagined. As a former model, I was very specific on who I wanted to photograph our wedding as I had a particular vision in mind, wanting those yummy creamy photos with the light hitting us just right. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND what any normal wedding photographer would ever do. Our pictures are perfection and exactly what we wanted... and more! If you are able to book Joey as your wedding photographer, do so IMMEDIATELY and consider yourself very lucky! Joey was recommended to me through a cousin of my now husband who used Joey for her wedding photos. Her pictures were incredible - very sophisticated, gorgeous, timeless, etc. Photography had not been a priority for us and so we had not originally planned to look for the "best" photographer - however, I am so glad that we were able to connect with Joey and have him shoot our wedding. It was well worth the price (which was fairly reasonable); we have received hundreds on compliments on how amazing our photos are and people can tell immediately that we used a photographer that is artistic and has vision - he does not just shoot the regular "must shoot list" and call it a day... Our wedding was entirely outside, with dinner under a very large tent... and Joey was able to capture the beauty of the surroundings so well. Considering that we were one of many weddings at my husband's family farm, I can say with confidence that our wedding pictures really showed the farm in a whole new light and our pictures look nothing like those before us. Indoor or outside, every picture is beautiful! As for working with Joey - he is incredibly fun, nice, thoughtful, insightful and flexible... My husband was not too excited about having his picture taken, but Joey was extremely quick and made sure not to bore us or to keep us from our party too long. That was extremely important to us and should be to you as well! As I said before, if you have the opportunity to work with Joey, sign up immediately and consider yourself lucky. Joey is phenomenal in every sense of the word. Joey's talent and creativity are unmatched (just look at his work), but what truly stands out is his attention to detail, professionalism, and demeanor. From our first meeting, Joey took the time to explain his approach to wedding photography and made sure that he understood our vision. He was responsive to our ideas, and really worked to make sure all of our photography was personal and focused on us. Although we were unsure about our engagement shoot, he assured us that the shoot was important. I am so glad he did! The pictures are unbelievable and we were much more comfortable on the day of the wedding. Joey was invaluable during the planning of the wedding. He helped me with timelines and talked through each aspect of the day to ensure that we would have enough time for everything. It meant so much to have such a knowledgeable resource for all of those little details I might have overlooked. At the wedding, Joey and his assistant were professional, organized, and available for every shot. They were also incredibly fun! Everyone from my grandmother to the flower girl enjoyed working with both of them and nothing felt overly posed or unnatural. Joey even took the time to show my mom a quick preview, which made her night. Additionally, during the ceremony, I know that he was everywhere grabbing shots, but it was not distracting or conspicuous. Joey also made sure that my husband and I were able to enjoy our cocktail hour and reception, while still getting his shots. I don't know how he did it, but we are so grateful! In summation, the best thing I can say about Joey is that he felt like a family member by the end of the experience. So much so that on our honeymoon, my husband turned to me and said, "Too bad Joey isn't here. The light is amazing, he would make such good use of it!" Enough said!!

From the minute I saw his photos I loved his work. Joey was the only photographer my husband and I even considered. His work is amazing, and once you meet him it's clear to see he truly loves what he is doing. We couldn't get over how passionate he is about the photos he is taking. Joey was a major part of our wedding experience! From the minute we met him and saw his work, the dedication and passion to his craft is evident in every single picture; we knew immediately we wanted to hire him, but what was more surprising was what happened after. We finally decided to our engagement photos at the encouragement of Joey and finally took them on the bridges of Pittsburgh--they turned out fabulous. We could not (and still can't) have imagined the concept turning into reality. Joey is easy to work with and gives direction well. He engaged us in his creativity and really spent the time to get to know us as a couple and what we wanted, and to our surprise, pushed us to try new things and the results were exactly what we wanted--we just didn't know it! At our wedding, he was flexible in our schedule, made use of every minute available to him, and made sure everyone felt included--he clearly took the time to plan out the whole day to ensure things went smoothly. He is meticulous in making sure you are happy and really takes honest feedback to heart. He interacted with all of the guests, encouraging them to be themselves and not pose for pictures. What we couldn't express in words and poses, he captured in his photographs flawlessly. I cannot reccommend Joey enough: he was not just our wedding photographer; I knew he cared about us as a couple so much that I trusted he would let us enjoy the day stress free, but knew that every hour would be relived through his photos. He is an incredibly professional and enthusiastic artist, but beyond that, he is a wholehearted person who finds deep rooted inspiration in capturing other peoples' emotions. He is simply, amazing.

Joey is a family friend, so we knew we wanted him to be our photographer. The thing that I love most about Joey's work is that you know that he will put his heart and soul into it. Even before my wife and I were engaged but were starting to think about marriage we always said that when we took that step we would try and get Joey to photograph the occasion and we were lucky enough to be able to make this happen. We are both located in North Carolina, and while Joey has his base in Pittsburgh, he made the pre-wedding preparation a breeze, being incredibly available to us, coming up with amazing suggestions and ideas and listening to ours and working to make what we wanted happen. Joey was a pleasure to work with, he is so enthusiastic and takes genuine pleasure in all the things that make up wedding festivities. Our wedding was a little unusual in that we conducted the celebrations in the UK. We were lucky enough to be able to have Joey come across. He was an absolute trooper. Literally getting off the plane in Paris and shooting for two days on a pre-wedding shoot, the results of which are stunning and then traveling on to the UK to shoot the ceremony and reception, having to contend with the unpredictable English weather, and all this without an entourage of assistants to help him. Not once during what was a grueling schedule did he ever complain or loose his enthusiasm. The results have been stunning, his ability to work with natural light is absolutely amazing. As I said before the weather in the UK was unpredictable but his knowledge of the camera (we shot on film and digital) and of light produced some of the finest pictures, regardless of genre, I've viewed. Although we obviously staged some of the pictures, Joey was also able to blend into to the proceedings and produce some truly amazing candid pictures of the time we spent in Europe. If you are considering a wedding photographer, regardless of where you are located in the US, or the world I cannot recommend Joey highly enough. His professionalism, enthusiasm, love of his craft and his genuine joy at being part of the wedding are unmatched. So even if you are just starting to think about that big day, get in touch with him...it could be the best call you make!

Joey was the absolute best photographer choice for our wedding. Not only is he an amazing photographer- but extremely professional, creative, reliable, and down to earth. Ed and I had seen Joey's work and immediately wanted him to shoot our wedding- he captures the moments you missed because you were so wrapped up in the experience! I'm not sure if words can even begin to express what an amazing experience it was to work with Joey. When I started planning my wedding the photographs were one of the most important things for me, and I knew I wanted something unique with an artistic twist. I found Joey's site and fell in love with his photos, I knew I had to have him for my wedding. We ended up having Joey take our engagement photos in Aspen and he captured not only our love & excitement, but breathtaking images of a town that means a lot to me and my husband. That trip also took us from photographer and client to true friends. My husband loved the photography aspect of wedding planning and I owe it all to Joey. Not only is he an amazing photographer, but he was also a great asset when it came down to the "day of" timeline of events, he was able to calm my nerves with one phone call. On our wedding day he is prompt, calm, professional, and shoots the wedding with abounding energy. When searching for photographers, Joey's work stood out to my husband and me because of the artistic angles, lighting, and beauty he captured. Joey is hands down the best wedding photographer. I was initially drawn to Joey's website for it's artistic presense, but was won over by his genuine personality and professionalism. Due to a bit of distance between us, I did a phone interview with Joey. By the end of our conversation, It already felt like I was speaking with a friend, rather than my new photographer! He shared his creative ideas for shots for the day of our wedding and was just as excited about them as us. He was driven a goal to make our pictures a unique story of our wedding day, which he greatly accomplished! Joey was fun, energenic and we had a blast working with him. We felt like he became just another member of our wedding party! We could'nt be more happy with his work and his creative, artistic approach to wedding photography was just what I was looking for.

We are so thrilled with Joey's work. He captured an important event with the kind of artistic edge that we love. His gets things done, but keeps things fun and breezy. We had a great time doing some shoots before the wedding on the bridge, by the river- it was very true to our everyday lives in that way- capturing the beauty of our city as well as very romantic and fun setups, angles, and compositions. There is also a relative that has passed on since our wedding and we have the most beautiful pictures of her. These are so cherished, especially now. The moment I saw the photo's on Joey's website I knew I had to book him for my event. Joey is hands down one of the best wedding photographers out there. If you are looking for pictures that look like they belong in bridal magazines, then this is your guy. His photo's are AMAZING. The word that is most often used to describe the pictures from my wedding is, "wow." Joey is extremely creative and easy (not to mention fun) to work with. I had originally hired another photographer when planning my wedding, but when I saw Joey's photos of my friend's engagement shoot, I called him and booked him immediately. His passion for what he does shines through the photos he takes. I told Joey I wanted to be able look back 5,10, 25 years from my wedding day and remember exactly how I felt on my wedding day. He captured not only the actual physical elements of the wedding, but the emotions I and my family felt as well. If you're considering Joey: I'll tell you exactly what I'd tell my sister or dearest friend: Book him NOW! We were absolutely thrilled with Joey from start to finish. We're from Northeast Ohio and after looking for photographers in our area we were really disappointed in our choices. All of the ones I was interested in were already booked. Now I'm so glad that they were because we extended our search to Pittsburgh photographers and found Joey! Not only did we find a totally unique and artistic wedding photographer, we made a new friend. He was very punctual to all of our meetings, the rehearsal, and day of. He and his second shooter were both appropriately dressed and very professional. And also fun. My whole family and party enjoyed working with them. He was the easiest of our vendors to communicate with by phone or email. He always got back to us quickly. And he got along wonderfully with everyone, including other vendors. Before we booked Joey I was trying to find photographers that had shot at our venue, Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. But the photography I was able to find online was not the style I was looking for. It really didn't capture the beauty of the gardens and the hall. I was worried that maybe that venue just didn't translate well into photographs. I saw Joey's blog and loved every single one of the weddings he shot. No matter the venue, his weddings looked amazing and he had shots that I loved from each one. So we booked him, not knowing what his photography of Stan Hywet would really look like. Of all the photography I've seen of Stan Hywet weddings, his is easily the best. He wants his images to look their best and he thinks about EVERYTHING. He is very committed to getting the highest quality. He was a little bit more expensive than was ideal for us, but for the kind of photography (and time-intensive editing) he provides, we didn't find anything that compares within his price range (and even if I had a $10,000 budget for photography, I think I'd still book Joey over more expensive photoraphers). So he's actually very reasonable and will someday be much much more expensive. And he was worth every penny and more. I have already recommended him to some of my closest friends. I will continue to recommend him to anyone I meet that is getting married. If you want artistic, unique, romantic, modern, timeless photography, I really don't think you can do better than Joey for the price. And you'll make a new friend. I could go on and on. But I'll stop. Just go to his blog. If you're not sold, then you probably have bad taste. :-D

There is really no other word to describe Joey's photography, demeanor, dedication, enthusiasm, and love for his talent and clients other than perfect. I've never envisioned what my wedding would be like and knew that if that day would come, I would only care about 2 things: the pictures and the food. The photography that was taken at my wedding still astounds me almost a year later. Joey not only beautifully captured the emotion felt that day, he also made a lasting impression on me, my husband, and our families. Joey was with me from 10 am until 12 am, and his camera never left him. I've seen other photographers hang out in the shadows in one spot, just snapping a picture or two. Not Joey. He was lying on the floor, standing on chairs, and doing whatever he needed to do to get the perfect shot. I specifically asked him to take as many pictures as he could of my 99 year old grandmother, and I'm convinced no other photographer would have been able to catch her laughing like he did. That particular shot was such a surprise to me and family and I can't help but to cry and thank my lucky stars Joey was perceptive enough to get exactly what I asked for. To this day, people talk about my engagement and wedding pictures and I could never have imagined a photographer to have such an impact on our families. So much so, that both of my sisters-in-law were so impressed by his work, they called him immediately and booked him as well. It made me so happy to be able to see him work with my family and give them the gift of beautiful pictures he also gave to me. I don't refer to him as my photographer because he is much more than that. He's an honorary family member, friend, and fellow sports nut (even though we like rival teams). My wedding was beautiful on its own, but Joey made it extraordinary.

Joey achieved the exact look in my photos that I had envisioned! I was going for a unique, more vintage look &amp; got exactly that! I completely hate getting my picture taken and didn't think about it once during the day because Joey made me feel so comfortable. Would recommend to anyone!

My wife and I first heard about Joey through a friend of ours. Joey had been their Wedding Photographer and we really liked the work that he did for them. We met with Joey one evening, and were definitely blown away with the samples that he had to show us. We didn't need to look any further, we knew that we had found the right Photographer. Not only because of Joey's work, but because of how detail oriented and professional he is with everything. It truly is like giving an artist a blank canvas and letting him create a thing of beauty. On the day of our engagement shoot, Joey made us feel really at ease. I think my wife was somewhat nervous before we got to our shoot location, but Joey has a way of making you feel like you are the only 2 people there. Then on our Wedding Day. Joey spent the entire day with us! I think his day started around 10am and we didn't get done with the reception until around 10:30pm! We did go with the rendezvous, which I will admit, I was very hesitant about. I think I am more of a traditionalist and didn't want to see the Bride before the Wedding. And Joey was extremely respectful of my decision. But after awhile and looking at the timeline of our big day, I knew that we were going to be crunched for time. And that 1 hour of time for pictures in between the Ceremony and Reception wasn't going to be enough. Plus, I knew if we had our Ceremony starting at 3pm, then we were losing about half a day that could be used for pictures. He had all of the plans laid out. Where and what we needed to do. Everything went perfectly! I didn't even notice Joey at the Ceremony or the reception. The only time that I really noticed that we were having pictures taken, was after the Ceremony when we had all of our family gathered together. The reception was unbelievable. Joey was amazing the entire day. The following week, my wife and I were in Punta Cana for our Honeymoon. I believe it was on Wednesday of that week, Joey had posted a small portion of our Wedding Day so that we could get a sample of what was to come after we got back. The preview was a great way to have a small reflection of our Wedding Day. Joey is a great Photographer, and you will not find a better one anywhere. You can look in New York, Los Angeles or anywhere, it doesn’t matter. He is the best. I think the best part is that my wife and I found a great friend in Joey. You won't be disappointed!

Joey is a truly a one of a kind! My husband and I met and fell in love in Pittsburgh and had wanted to do an anniversary shoot since we married in Ohio. We wanted to capture our love a year later and the city in which we loved. Not only is Joeys work incredibly beautiful but he truly understand that importance of the photos to the couple. He manages to capture your personalities and emotion. Joey has a wonderful personality which makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Since choosing Joey as our wedding photographer we have formed a great relationship with him. He works his butt off at the wedding, all our images were fabulous and he is just generally a wonderful person. Joey is wonderful!! His work amazing and he is so easy to work with. We booked him based on his work and a phone conversation since we live in Atlanta, so we were a little nervous, but upon meeting him for our engagement photos we knew he would be great. On our wedding day, Joey was with us from 12pm when we started getting ready until 11pm when the reception ended. While we were getting ready and during the reception, I barely noticed he was there, but he got a lot of great shots. I liked that he was unobtrusive, but that if he had a shot he really wanted, he'd ask me to pose for it. We did a 'first look' photo session before the ceremony and took most of our photos then, and he was very organized and professional. He had photo ideas saved on his phone of things he'd like to do, so he showed us a few and we set up some great shots. This showed that he did research beforehand to see what kind of photos he wanted to do. Also, he came to our rehearsal to see the space and lighting, and he also explored the area around our venue to scope out good locations. We haven't seen all the photos yet, but our preview on his blog is amazing! Everyone who has seen them raves about them. Joey was on time to every meeting we had, and he always responded quickly to any questions I had. He also communicated with the coordinator at my venue before the wedding to make sure everything was handled, and I saw him working with the DJ during the wedding too, so he seemed to be very hands-on. Overall, we LOVED him and highly recommend him! His photos captured our wedding day perfectly and we will cherish them forever.

We booked Joey after he was the photographer at my cousin's wedding last summer. I thought his photos were incredibly artistic and beautiful. We love our engagement photos that we've gotten back and our sneak peek of the wedding is amazing!!!
