months before our event that he was our guy. Like another person said, he is the one you want with you during an important event. Using Joey's website really leaves nothing to chance for how you want your event to play out. It covers everything in detail and is very customizable, which he then reviews with you and gives input where necessary. He did a great job giving recommendations and critiquing some of our plans/ideas that definitely made the wedding better. This longer discussion was where his expertise really came through, and it made us feel very good going into our wedding day that we were in good hands. On the day of our wedding, Joey arrived well before the music began: setting up, performing sound checks, and walking around to make sure we had everything we needed. On top of all the prep work and assistance Joey supported us with, and possibly most importantly, he made our dance floor the best place to be the entire evening. From the time Joey's speakers turned on to the end of the night, there was not a single point in time when there was any awkwardness or lack of people on the floor. He also has an incredible DJ setup between speakers, lights, and all the other equipment he came with. In between our dances, speeches, and other performances he also had several fun ways of including all the guests, keeping the entertainment and energy levels high the entire time. I received compliments all night and well after the day of our wedding about how great our DJ was. Joey was super easy to work with, very professional, and I would highly recommend him for any type of DJ/MC event, wedding or otherwise.

mixed multiple songs for our ceremony and our first dance. He was able to use all the song ideas we gave him, using a bunch of instrumental rock songs that he strung together flawlessly. He even rolled with the punches when we asked him to 1) weave into the dinner portion a long fun facts list about every guest (he did great) and 2) read the Mother of the Groom’s dinner speech for her because she was too teary.  Lastly and definitely not least, he killed it on the dancefloor with our music requests AND ROCKED OUR SILENT DISCO. Everyone had a blast and he was able to manage two stations while also doing his own DJing on the third station.  Thank you endlessly and I can 100000% recommend Joey to other couples!

tting compliments about it months later. Almost everyone who attended our wedding loves music and dancing, and among us we have a varied and sometimes eclectic taste in music. So aside from the usual basic logistics (i.e. guest comfort and good food), having an exceptional dance party was our most important singular entity. Yes, of course we wanted a stellar emcee for the whole day, but we also wanted a DJ who could actually mix songs from different genres in real-time, read the crowd, and make artistic decisions on the fly. Joey did all that and more (and was reasonably-priced to boot). So after interviewing several potential DJs who were more in the "emcees-who-press-play" category (which is perfectly fine, but not what we were looking for), Joey stood out as someone who also has experience DJing at nightclubs and making music himself, enthusiastically answering my many questions on his approach to mixing music both live and in advance. Joey was involved and flexible from the very start, and his excitement for incorporating whatever off-the-wall request we could throw at him made the whole process even more fun. He was also more than game for our not-so-traditional bouquet toss, an all-out brawl meticulously timed to specific parts of a song. But it wasn't just the dance party that I recommend him for. For the whole day, Joey went above and beyond - he did an amazing job with the ceremony, including dealing with last-minute changes so seamlessly that nobody was the wiser. During cocktail hour and dinner, he did a great job of mixing classic "wedding music" our older guests would enjoy with higher energy beats tailored to our friends. And throughout the reception, he kept the guests enthusiastically engaged, somehow getting to know our family and friends all while keeping the music flowing and adapting to schedule changes on the fly. After the party was the after party, and he kept the dance floor FULL from the moment dinner ended to the wee hours of the morning. And that was when we found out he also knew exactly when to switch from bespoke dance club vibes to early aughts, middle-school-dance-party hits in the final hour, something we didn't even know we needed until some familiar hits activated us like sleeper agents. By the end of the night, our friends were chanting his name like we were seeing our favorite artist performing live. But you don't just have to take my word for it - months later we're still getting compliments about the dance party across all age ranges. And the unanimous feedback is not just that it was great, but that it was the best wedding dance party they've ever been to. The fact that he provided this experience for such a competitive price still feels like a dream. So in sum, if you're looking for a true master of ceremony who can also make it feel like you're at a dance club specifically tailored to the tastes of you and your friends, I strongly recommend hiring an actual DJ who happens to also be tremendous at emceeing weddings. And specifically, I recommend Joey.

Whether you want someone to run the show, or someone to just curate vibes, Joey is THE guy. So sweet, so gifted, truly amazing to work with and made our day so easy. So many of our guests have asked us about him and used him for their events! 10/10 recommend.

Without someone guiding the flow of the night and keeping the energy right, from the ceremony through dinner, and straight onto the dancefloor. Weddings can get awkward really fast. Joey completely avoided that. Everything flowed smoothly, the mood always felt right, and nothing ever felt forced or uncomfortable. On top of that, he was so fun, sweet, and easy to work with. Our guests loved him and the dance floor was packed all night. We love DJ Joey and would recommend him to anyone.

I think a huge help was the app Joey uses to build the playlists and ensure the right songs play at the right times, from the ceremony throughout there were no missed beats or awkward moments. The best part was just how well his energy fit in with our friends and family, as he brought people up for speeches, or talked to each table during dinner - it was truly perfect. I don’t think the dance floor was ever empty and I only took a break for a drink or to use the restroom. I would recommend Joey to anyone that wants a fun stress free event. He was like family and I know we will have a friendship even after our event.
