Joey The DJ

managed everything effortlessly, always staying one step ahead while keeping the couple’s experience his top priority. As a DJ and MC, Joey absolutely shines—his music selections were perfectly tailored to the couple, and his MCing was polished, energetic, and engaging without ever feeling over the top. As a fellow wedding professional, what impressed me most was how easy he was to work with. He’s communicative, supportive, humble, and a genuine team player. Joey is the complete package: an outstanding DJ and MC, a detail-oriented professional, and an all-around great person. I’d work with him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him to any couple!

nt and ran with it. He balanced being an amazing MC throughout the night, and mixing in crowd favorites with some of our personal more niche picks into an unforgettable night. We had multiple guests tell us after our wedding that was their favorite wedding music set they’ve heard at a wedding!

dibly generous with his time and attention and he went above and beyond to ensure he delivered for us on all fronts. Joey is a fantastic DJ and an awesome MC/Hype Man.  Joey is very creative and open to hearing other people’s ideas and bringing them to life. Most importantly, Joey is a very compassionate person who understands the sacred nature of a wedding and takes it very seriously that he is being entrusted with being a part of it. Thank you so much Joey. You crushed it!

kept coming up to us to tell us how amazing our DJ was—and we couldn't agree more. We felt that way from the very beginning of working with him. Our wedding was at the beautiful Eden Gardens, and Joey exceeded our expectations in every way. He had to set up in three different locations throughout the venue, arrived early, and had everything ready well before guests arrived. He checked in with our wedding party before the ceremony and our grand entrance to make sure everyone was queued up and everything ran smoothly. When our coordinator requested Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from all of our vendors, Joey was the very first to respond. One of Joey's biggest strengths is knowing exactly how to read and engage a crowd. He kept the energy up all night while making everything feel effortless. He spent hours with us beforehand going over every detail of our vision and also shared his professional recommendations to make sure everything flowed perfectly. With Joey, you're not just hiring someone to press play on a playlist—you're getting an experienced wedding DJ and MC who knows how to keep a wedding on schedule, keep guests entertained, and bring your ideas to life. We also had a projector with a slideshow of our photos. Since our venue was completely outdoors, it ended up being too bright to play during cocktail hour as we had originally planned. Joey immediately came to us with a solution. He suggested moving it to a different location and time, setting it up near the photo booth where guests were waiting in line. It worked out perfectly, and several guests commented on how much they enjoyed watching it while they waited. Throughout the entire evening, Joey checked in with us to make sure we were happy with how everything was going. He also has an easy-to-use planning app where couples can organize music selections for every part of the wedding, make requests, and leave notes about the timeline. Before the wedding, we met to review every detail together. I even told him he was the only DJ we interviewed who didn't simply ask us to send over a Spotify playlist and call it a day. He truly took the time to understand what we wanted and treated our wedding like the unique event it was. Joey was very patient with us through the whole planning process and we were so grateful that he can relate to how stressful the month leading up to the wedding can be. I can go on and on but bottom line is that we confidently recommend Joey to anyone who is getting married. You're getting more than a DJ with him.

d in making sure the music matched the atmosphere we wanted. Our celebration wasn’t a traditional wedding reception—we weren’t doing a first dance, bouquet toss, or many of the usual formalities. Joey understood exactly what we were going for and created the perfect soundtrack for the evening. The music kept the energy up without ever feeling overpowering, and he did a great job reading the room and adjusting throughout the night. His setup looked and sounded great, transitions were seamless, and everything ran flawlessly. We received several compliments from our guests about the music, and it added so much to the overall experience. If you’re looking for a DJ who is professional, reliable, and knows how to create the right vibe for your event, I highly recommend Joey. He helped make our celebration one we’ll never forget, and we’d gladly hire him again.

e special moments throughout the night just flowed. I would definitely book again!! Thanks Joey!

ry thoughtful and organized, just what we needed after many months of wedding decision fatigue. Thank you so much for all your great work and the time you put into us. You made us feel really known and seen.

ed, easy to communicate with, and made the entire planning process feel effortless. On the wedding day, he completely nailed it. The music was perfect, the transitions were seamless, and the dance floor was packed all night long. He did such a great job reading the crowd and keeping the energy up from start to finish. Our guests loved him and have continued to rave about how fun the music was. Beyond being an amazing DJ, he brought so much personality to the event. He was hilarious, engaging, and helped create such a fun atmosphere throughout the night. He truly felt like part of the celebration rather than just another vendor. If you're looking for a DJ who is talented, professional, fun, and knows exactly how to keep a party going, book him immediately. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

. I would highly recommend Joey! You won’t regret it.

e entire wedding which took a lot of pressure off of us!  I would highly recommend him to be at your event!  You won’t regret it 😃

as super chill and easy to work with throughout the entire process, kept everything flowing smoothly during the wedding, hit every cue perfectly, and somehow managed to read the room ALL night. Every song felt right.   And then the dance floor opened.   Absolute chaos in the best possible way. Sweat everywhere. People screaming lyrics. Zero empty spots on the dance floor the entire night. He completely flipped the energy and turned our wedding into the kind of party people are still talking about.   We wanted fun, hype, unforgettable vibes and Joey absolutely delivered. Could not recommend him more. THANK YOU JOEY 🔥

d a blast and can’t stop talking about how great it all was. He also showed the kids how to DJ and they LOVED it. Thanks again Joey! You’re the best! Hire him for your next party!!!

asked thorough questions of what we wanted, and made a ton of great suggestions that made our day incredibly special. From working with the planners, vendors, and staff, to managing the event flow and timeline, Joey was awesome. The most impressive thing about Joey is that he knows how to read the room - whether it is as an MC at the reception or as the DJ during the dancing, he handled everything perfectly. We gave him rough musical direction and some song examples for each event of the night, and told him we trusted him based on his experience and our preferences. We can say that he exceeded our expectations in every way and left our guests incredibly impressed. He created the best dance atmosphere for the night and created a set that was tailored specifically to us. He even let us push the button! All of the guests after the wedding were asking how we found him, and if he played in other locations and clubs around the city. We can’t say enough great things about Joey, he absolutely crushed it.

as important to us for that day. He played fantastic tunes that kept everyone on the dance floor and having a great time! He was a terrific MC and the schedule flowed perfectly. Can't wait to have another party and hire him again!

with exactly what we wanted and kept the crowd active. He was simply the best. His communication was spot on, his prep was great, and he went above and beyond with his service. I am so glad we chose Joey!

ow to create an incredible atmosphere. Joey was professional and helpful throughout the planning process, helping us curate the perfect vibe for our wedding. His ability to read the room and deliver a seamless, memorable experience is unmatched. We absolutely adore him!

months before our event that he was our guy. Like another person said, he is the one you want with you during an important event. Using Joey's website really leaves nothing to chance for how you want your event to play out. It covers everything in detail and is very customizable, which he then reviews with you and gives input where necessary. He did a great job giving recommendations and critiquing some of our plans/ideas that definitely made the wedding better. This longer discussion was where his expertise really came through, and it made us feel very good going into our wedding day that we were in good hands. On the day of our wedding, Joey arrived well before the music began: setting up, performing sound checks, and walking around to make sure we had everything we needed. On top of all the prep work and assistance Joey supported us with, and possibly most importantly, he made our dance floor the best place to be the entire evening. From the time Joey's speakers turned on to the end of the night, there was not a single point in time when there was any awkwardness or lack of people on the floor. He also has an incredible DJ setup between speakers, lights, and all the other equipment he came with. In between our dances, speeches, and other performances he also had several fun ways of including all the guests, keeping the entertainment and energy levels high the entire time. I received compliments all night and well after the day of our wedding about how great our DJ was. Joey was super easy to work with, very professional, and I would highly recommend him for any type of DJ/MC event, wedding or otherwise.

rits. Seamlessly transitioning through multiple genres, he kept the party going all night long. All of my wedding guests had nothing but amazing things to say and went on and on about how much fun they had and I attribute most of that to Joey’s work. He’s knowledgable and confident and will deliver on an incredible experience for your special and momentous day.

mix of songs to keep everyone on the dance floor. Oldies in the beginning and new age as the night went. The transitions were smooth, and you could tell he put real thought into the playlist and the flow of the night. He totally understood the vibe we wanted and made it even better than we imagined. All our guests kept saying how awesome the music was! If you're looking for a DJ who's fun, professional, and knows how to create an unforgettable night, Joey's your guy!! Highly recommend.

nd and me while keeping our friends and family on the dance floor all night. He was focused on our needs and kept the flow of the evening seamless. He even jumped in to help pull foxtails out of my dress after our vineyard photos. Truly a team player! I highly recommend Joey!

mixed multiple songs for our ceremony and our first dance. He was able to use all the song ideas we gave him, using a bunch of instrumental rock songs that he strung together flawlessly. He even rolled with the punches when we asked him to 1) weave into the dinner portion a long fun facts list about every guest (he did great) and 2) read the Mother of the Groom’s dinner speech for her because she was too teary.  Lastly and definitely not least, he killed it on the dancefloor with our music requests AND ROCKED OUR SILENT DISCO. Everyone had a blast and he was able to manage two stations while also doing his own DJing on the third station.  Thank you endlessly and I can 100000% recommend Joey to other couples!

tting compliments about it months later. Almost everyone who attended our wedding loves music and dancing, and among us we have a varied and sometimes eclectic taste in music. So aside from the usual basic logistics (i.e. guest comfort and good food), having an exceptional dance party was our most important singular entity. Yes, of course we wanted a stellar emcee for the whole day, but we also wanted a DJ who could actually mix songs from different genres in real-time, read the crowd, and make artistic decisions on the fly. Joey did all that and more (and was reasonably-priced to boot). So after interviewing several potential DJs who were more in the "emcees-who-press-play" category (which is perfectly fine, but not what we were looking for), Joey stood out as someone who also has experience DJing at nightclubs and making music himself, enthusiastically answering my many questions on his approach to mixing music both live and in advance. Joey was involved and flexible from the very start, and his excitement for incorporating whatever off-the-wall request we could throw at him made the whole process even more fun. He was also more than game for our not-so-traditional bouquet toss, an all-out brawl meticulously timed to specific parts of a song. But it wasn't just the dance party that I recommend him for. For the whole day, Joey went above and beyond - he did an amazing job with the ceremony, including dealing with last-minute changes so seamlessly that nobody was the wiser. During cocktail hour and dinner, he did a great job of mixing classic "wedding music" our older guests would enjoy with higher energy beats tailored to our friends. And throughout the reception, he kept the guests enthusiastically engaged, somehow getting to know our family and friends all while keeping the music flowing and adapting to schedule changes on the fly. After the party was the after party, and he kept the dance floor FULL from the moment dinner ended to the wee hours of the morning. And that was when we found out he also knew exactly when to switch from bespoke dance club vibes to early aughts, middle-school-dance-party hits in the final hour, something we didn't even know we needed until some familiar hits activated us like sleeper agents. By the end of the night, our friends were chanting his name like we were seeing our favorite artist performing live. But you don't just have to take my word for it - months later we're still getting compliments about the dance party across all age ranges. And the unanimous feedback is not just that it was great, but that it was the best wedding dance party they've ever been to. The fact that he provided this experience for such a competitive price still feels like a dream. So in sum, if you're looking for a true master of ceremony who can also make it feel like you're at a dance club specifically tailored to the tastes of you and your friends, I strongly recommend hiring an actual DJ who happens to also be tremendous at emceeing weddings. And specifically, I recommend Joey.

before our wedding going through every single song and moment to make sure the day would be exactly how we wanted it. He was ready to do everything he could to make our day as special as possible in whatever way we wanted him to do it. Also, his equipment is perfect. Whether you want someone to run the show, or someone to just curate vibes, Joey is THE guy. So sweet, so gifted, truly amazing to work with and made our day so easy. So many of our guests have asked us about him and used him for their events! 10/10 recommend.

r a better DJ for the day. His process leading up to the wedding allows you to pinpoint exactly what you want for your day and he definitely delivered.

de in what he does, and has a blast doing it. He’s also very professional and takes the time to have multiple phone meetings ahead of the wedding. We can’t recommend him enough!

y and involved. What stood out the most was how good he was as an MC, which I don’t think people realize is such a big deal. Without someone guiding the flow of the night and keeping the energy right, from the ceremony through dinner, and straight onto the dancefloor. Weddings can get awkward really fast. Joey completely avoided that. Everything flowed smoothly, the mood always felt right, and nothing ever felt forced or uncomfortable. On top of that, he was so fun, sweet, and easy to work with. Our guests loved him and the dance floor was packed all night. We love DJ Joey and would recommend him to anyone.

eel effortless. His communication throughout the process was top notch, giving us ideas when we needed them and helping us to build our perfect playlist. Post-wedding, our friends and family gave wonderful reviews saying they couldn't leave the dance floor because there were so many hits. We even got some props from our older family about the cocktail hour and dinner playlists. I think a huge help was the app Joey uses to build the playlists and ensure the right songs play at the right times, from the ceremony throughout there were no missed beats or awkward moments. The best part was just how well his energy fit in with our friends and family, as he brought people up for speeches, or talked to each table during dinner - it was truly perfect. Hiring Joey was 100% worth it and you won't second guess any aspect of choosing him as your DJ. Thanks again for a perfect wedding, Joey! We had a blast!

gle request. We also had many kids at our wedding and he let them get involved and was not bothered by any of them. Joey read our guests and got them all excited and having fun. I don’t think the dance floor was ever empty and I only took a break for a drink or to use the restroom. I would recommend Joey to anyone that wants a fun stress free event. He was like family and I know we will have a friendship even after our event.

t DJ, had all the age groups moving and grooving. Found very unqiue and creative ways to include all our favorite songs. I actually danced so hard I sprained my knee.

ext event.
