John Arcara is the BEST in the business! From the moment he arrived on my wedding day, I felt so at ease. He put a smile on everyone's face, even when there were some stressful moments! He knew every great spot at our venue to capture a great photo and truly made our day so easy. The pictures are beyond beautiful. We can't thank John and his team enough!

What a blessing it was to have John and his team capturing our engagement/wedding. He made the process so easy, comfortable and fun. He has the best energy that is contagious and so helpful. He made me feel so special. He knew all the right places for pictures, also open to anything I suggested too. I had a big bridal party w/different personalities and he handled all of us swiftly and effortlessly. During the reception you barely even knew his team was around, allowing us to be natural and enjoy our night, which are the best shots. He really gets in there, I laugh because in one video he is in, John reminded me of a gun slinger, cameras hanging all over him and using one camera, dropping it and with lightening speed grabbing a different one. Our SDE was so beautiful, along with all of the photos from the day/night showing on the screens during the reception. John knows what he is doing and is so passionate that he inspires you!! BEST decision I made having him manage one of the most important parts of the wedding.

John was simply stellar. He made everything easy, carefree, and most importantly... FUN! We had our ceremony and reception at the Molly Pitcher Inn but in addition to the photos there John and his assistance Josh took us to various spots around downtown Red Bank which we LOVED. It can't be easy to wrangle families and bridal parties but John did it like a rock star and made sure we didn't worry about anything on our big day!

John Aracar Photography is the absolute best. We worked with Scott the day of our wedding. He truly went above and beyond. When my dog was afraid of the camera, Scott was on the floor trying to get him used to the sound it made. The result was some fabulous shots of my beloved pup. Scott understood what kind of pictures I wanted and really knew how to pose everyone. He's extremely talented and I am in love with every picture I received. I would recommend John Arcara Photography again and again.

Words can't express how thankful my husband and I are that we found John Arcara Photography for our special day. John made the process from the day of our first meeting throughout our entire wedding day SO easy, we did not have to worry about a thing. John did our engagement photos as well which turned out amazing, we used them for Save the Dates. Lovina, John's wife, did my boudoir session and created a "Sexy Little Bride" album that I gave my husband on the day of the wedding. She made me feel SO comfortable taking photos which I am not used to and they turned out amazing. John gave us a wedding timeline, I was asking him what time everything needed to be done, and he did not cease to amaze me with his knowledge. With any question we had, we received such a timely response and truly valued the information we were provided. The day of, John made us both feel at ease on a day that can be so overwhelming. Our Same Day Edit video captured SO much of our day, our guests were in tears watching it at the end of the night. Our photos from the day captured every detail, we could not have asked for more. He was more than a photographer/videographer and we are forever thankful! I would recommend John to anyone, anytime for any event.

I just got married a little over a month ago so I haven't seen all the photos yet, but he did my engagement pictures which were fantastic and the few wedding photo's he shared on facebook are amazing. He works really fast which was my favorite part about him because it ended up being really cold! Very easy and fun to work with, he had no problem taking my suggestions, but mostly I just trusted him to do his own thing. Also very unobtrusive! I didn't even notice them most of the time! Highly recommend!

Amazing beyond!

They were so great. We have only seen a few of the pictures they took because our wedding was only two weeks ago but the pictures we saw are better than we could have imagined! Our main photographer was Scott and he had a photographer (Rich) and a videographer (Carlos) with him. Scott called us before our wedding just to go over everything and he did everything we wanted and more. Couldn't be happier! Thank you all!

The photos were amazing which were taken by one of John's photographers, Tim. He was so creative and he totally executed my vision!

I’ll start with the most egregious: THE VIDEO OF OUR ENTIRE CEREMONY WAS LOST. Jon did refund us the money for the video; however, this does not make up for the fact that there is no video of me walking down the aisle, vows, first kiss, etc. Secondly, we were told that while we had a different photographer, Jon would do all of the editing. We were pleased with our photographer, but after the wedding, everything fell apart. When we went to pick up our photos, Jon couldn’t find them. We had to pick them up the following day—Jon left them on top of a neighboring business’s mailbox. We were surprised to see that none of the photos had been edited (aside from a batch color correction). We thought there was some mistake due to the mix up the day before, but Jon said no, he only edits for the album. We were not pleased with all of the unedited, crooked prints that he gave us. We obviously wanted to blow up and frame some images for our families and ourselves, but this could not be done with his images (nor would we pay his asking price of $40 for an 8x10 of a crooked family portrait). I HAD TO EDIT THE PHOTOS MYSELF SO THAT THEY WOULD BE SUITABLE FOR FRAMING! Then when he sent the proof, THE PHOTOS WERE STILL NOT EDITED IN THE ALBUM! He met with me and listened to all of the corrections that needed to be made and later had one of his employees, Tatiana, do it for him. This was contrary to his typical bride-unfriendly policy of 1 round of 3 changes only, otherwise he charges $50 per change (this was not disclosed until after the wedding). During this meeting he said, “I do not edit”. In the end I was pleased with the album, but this was by far the worst experience of my wedding (and the most over-priced). I highly recommend that you use a different photographer. If you do use Jon Arcara, ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING.

UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING & FANTASTIC in every single way! When searching for my vendors I kept a lot of wedding advice in mind. One VERY IMPORTANT piece of advice I was given that I would give to EVERYONE is...when all the planning is done & the best party of your life is over, all you will have left is your memories & your photos/video. This is in my opinion one of the MOST IMPORTANT PARTS in all the planning. I heard about John Arcara Photography from a friend & could not wait to meet with them. Before I went I looked at their work & sure to say WOW. I sat down with John & knew this is it!!! There was no other photographers I wanted to work with. I looked at other wedding albums in their studio & felt like I was at those weddings! I watched a few vimeo clips & thought WOW! They captured every moment & all the little details. John is so knowledgable, passionate, & talented. John, Lovina, & each and every person on their team are PHENOMENAL beyond words. They are the nicest, most down to earth people! They made me & my now husband feel so comfortable. There was no worry what so ever. They are always readily available for their couples, & willing to help in anyway they can. You don't just get photographers & videographers you get friends! Everything we wanted we received & much much more! We also chose them as our videographers. OF COURSE, the crew was WONDERFUL! On our big day we felt like celebrities. When we look at our photos or watch our video we relive that day all over again. Mission accomplished!!!!! We get extremely emotional EVERY single time. What they captured took our breathe away! The photography we received are more then just pictures to us, they are works of art, ours,that John & his team helped us to create. They create true magic through the lens of their cameras. We can't express in words how thankful we are for the incredible job John & his team did but in this review we tried! Jon & Lovina did an amazing job at our wedding..the planning was meticulous and the execution was even better..they think outside the box, are creative and we have heard nothing but fantastic comments from our friends and family. Our same-day edit video was epic.. a professional movie of our day shown at the wedding! great service; we felt taken care of all day..

My review of John Arcara photography would not be complete without mentioning how extremely helpful John was before I even booked him. I knew I wanted to work with John after being a bridesmaid in one of my best friend's weddings which he shot. Her photos were so unique and stunning that I knew one day, I would work with him. 4 years later, once engaged, I immediately contacted John and his wife Lovina in regards to using them for my wedding. John and Lovina were always helpful when I had any question at all! I even asked for their opinion on bridesmaids dresses, and what color would photograph best! They were both always available when I needed them. I did the Sexy Little Bride shoot with Lovina which I loved and came out awesome. She was great to work with and made me feel totally comfortable throughout the shoot! The day of the wedding John is no BS. He knows how to have fun but direct your and your bridal party without being bossy or annoying. He made everyone feel comfortable throughout all of the pictures, even the guys! He was quick and got the job done right. I have already received a ton of compliments on our pictures even though I only got them back 2 days ago!!! He knew what we wanted and made it happen. He is truly a pleasure to work with. My only regret is not choosing the Mac Daddy package. If I could do it all again I would have added everything John and Lovina have to offer!!! If you are looking for a great photographer who will not only deliver, but be a pleasure to work with, John is the way to go. He really made us feel like we were more than just another wedding, and there is nothing better than that!

We hired John and Lovina Arcara to photograph our daughter's wedding recently in Central New Jersey and I can't say enough good things about their services. They are a pleasure to work with and they knew just how to get the best shots. Their delightful personalities made everyone feel comfortable and the results were amazing! We were able to view earlier photos at the reception and by the time it was over, there were 74 on the Facebook link! Even our guests remarked about how fun they were. Beautiful! Gorgeous! Stunning! are just a few of the comments...and we've only seen the previews! I would hire them again in a heartbeat and give them the highest recommendation.

I got engaged on December 8, 2012. After booking my dream reception at the Pleasantdale Château, I started my hunt for the perfect photographer and videographer. My wedding coordinator highly recommended John and Lovina Arcara. When I arrived at their studio, I knew exactly why they were so highly recommended. Not only were their photos and videos BEYOND amazing; they were the most down to earth couple I have ever met. At that moment, I didn't even bother looking for other photographers. I booked them immediately for my June 8, 2014 wedding. Both John and Lovina kept in touch with me from the moment I booked them to the big day. They were unbelievably professional, yet funny and beyond friendly at the same time. As a wedding gift for my husband, I shot a "Sexy Little Bride" album (boudoir) with Lovina. She was totally amazing! At first I was a little shy, but after five minutes I felt totally comfortable around her. The book came out absolutely gorgeous! On our wedding day, John, Lovina and their videographer Matt came to my house in Brooklyn to start photographing and recording the best day of my life. All three of them were impeccable! John even helped me put my wedding shoes on as both my maid of honor and I were having technical difficulties. Having them crack jokes throughout the process was a breath of fresh air and eased my wedding day jitters. Once we finished up our church ceremony in Brooklyn, we headed over to our venue. Once again, they did not fall short of amazing! They made my bridal party, my husband and I, and our parents enjoy the experience to the fullest! Everyone was laughing and having so much fun while taking pictures. Our videographer Matt, was also amazing and extremely funny as well. I cannot wait to see our video! Once again, professionalism was not a problem when it came to videography. We received our proofs the first week of September, and all I can say is, the wait was well worth it. Every picture came out unbelievably stunning! Now, my husband and I are trying to figure out which ones to put in our wedding album. I HIGHLY recommend John Arcara Photography to any couple who has recently been engaged and are looking for a phenomenal photographer and videographer! They are worth every penny! There are simply no words to describe how truly incredible & amazing John Arcara and his staff did for us throughout our entire wedding process. We were extremely fortunate to have booked them a mere 3 months prior to our special day due to issues we had with our original photographer. We realize not a lot of photographers do that in such short notice. It turns out that it was the best decision we could have possibly made! John & Lovina were very warm, approachable & understanding people that helped us the entire time. They have made themselves available virtually 24/7 as we were able to contact them & pick up photos anytime, day or night. They immediately helped us out by doing a wonderful photo session in such a short time knowing that the wedding was only months away. The professionalism they bring on every email, phone call or photo session is unparalleled and at the same time they somehow make you feel like you're casually talking to a friend. We can't stress enough how much that helps with all the things going on during the wedding planning that John was very calm, cool & confident about his trade. The well crafted Italian wedding album they helped us arrange for is unlike any other album we've ever seen! Also, the way John illustrates his photos seems to tell a very unique and artistic story that just jumps out at you in the best ways, it's unbelievably incredible! The fusion film from our wedding that he made was stunning! John did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding photos! I just picked up the photos a few days ago and I am beyond thrilled with them! They are better than anything I could have ever imagined!! I am a perfectionist, and only want the best, so I looked at many different photographers in the area and decided on John Arcara because no one's work compared to his. His photographs are unique and creative. I had only met John once before our wedding day; however, when John came to my house the morning of the wedding I felt like I had known him for years! From engagement photos to the wedding day John stuck by our side the whole time. If you look at his website, his amazing photos speak for themselves so I knew I was in good hands. What impressed me the most was the interest John took in the actual planning and details of our wedding. He wasn't just our photographer but our wedding planner as well. He gave great advice and recommendations along the way for other vendors and ideas.On the day of our wedding I didn't have to worry about a thing or try and remember the kinds of pictures I wanted to take, he took charge and made sure everything was absolutely perfect. Hiring John was more than I could have asked for and money well spent!

We saw John Arcara's photos when we were looking for reception sites, and knew immediately that he was the photographer for us! We immediately booked him for an engagement session and our wedding (22 months in advance) to make sure he would be there on our big day. I can tell you, he DID NOT disappoint. He made me feel so special on my wedding day, capturing all the important moments, and lots of other intimate moments I didn't even know he was around for. When looking at my wedding photos, I'm taken back to the day and I feel like I'm reliving every moment-which is great because the actual wedding flies by in such a blur, it's great to have all these beautiful photos to look back at and remember. Our wedding video is absolutely spectacular. He made us a "teaser" which is posted on facebook for our friends to see, and then our full-length video was emailed to us. My friends have been asking for his contact info, as they've never seen videos like this before. The teaser brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. All in all, John & Lovina are the BEST! As a couple that paid for their own wedding, we were VERY conscious of where we spent our money. Photo and Video was one place that we knew was important so we did extensive research before choosing John Arcara Photography/ Videography. We knew they did incredible work, but what we did not expect was the amount of time and energy they put in to making our wedding day PERFECT. The team was genuine and personable, they took our nervous energy and turned it into a fun, relaxed environment. They came dressed to perfection and carried themselves throughout the entire night with nothing but professionalism. My experience with John and his team actually occurred many years before my wedding even happened. John did my brother's wedding and I instantly fell in love with his work. I was in the bridal party for my brother's wedding and I remember John being so much fun, not your typical stiff wedding photographer taking your typical wedding photos (I've been in and been to many weddings where talking to a wall would be more interesting than talking to the photographer! The best I ever experienced was a photographer who missed half of the reception on cigarette breaks! You won't get that kind of service from John and his team!!!). When I got engaged, and before a date or venue was set, I knew I wanted John to shoot our wedding. He is so full of energy and fun ideas....even our engagement photos came out so beautiful and we had a ton of fun walking around Red Bank with him shooting them. He is quick to answer any questions/emails you send his way and he truly is such a talent. As our wedding day approached, and with the threat of soaking downpours, John called me up to reassure me that no matter what, our day would be excellent (which helped ease my fears, especially since I wanted to take a lot of photos outside at our venue - Mallard Island Yacht Club in Manahawkin). He was filled with excitement and energy, reassuring me that no matter the weather, he would be able to get some amazing shots, and even gave me some pretty incredible ideas (especially when it came to a surprise I had for my husband during the 'First Look' shot). John and his team showed up right on time the day of my wedding to the salon and we all immediately had a blast; again, he isn't your typical, boring, stiff, wedding photographer! - It felt like it did at my brother's wedding...John and his team being awesome, us having some great laughs, and him shooting away while NOT being in everyone's hair and business. For example, there would be times where I would find myself talking to my bridesmaids and then realizing that John and his wife, Lovina, were photographing us from afar the entire time! Luckily, it didn't rain on our wedding day, but I still appreciated how he took away any stress I had when it came to our big day being a wash out. My wedding day simply was the most amazing day of my life, and I truly thank John, Lovina, and Matt for being a part of that day. Our pictures came out BEAUTIFUL! They are more like works of art than your typical wedding photos!! If you are looking for a photographer who you can have fun with, who won't add ANY stress to your day, and someone who will take beautiful pictures of one of the most important days of your life....then John is without a doubt the guy you want!! John, Lovina, and Matt felt like family to my husband and I, and our entire wedding party LOVED them! I highly recommend John and plan to use him in the future for any family photos we may have (maternity shoots!) I can't say enough positive things!! :)

We interviewed almost 10 photographers before deciding on John Arcara - he was so enthusiastic that it was infectious, and I knew I wanted that energy at our wedding. We were not disappointed! As soon as they arrived, they jumped right into action without being intrusive at all! Lovina even helped my bridesmaids to dress in their sarees. Their style is relaxed and energetic, and I found it definitely helped to keep my energy up. They captured every moment - I don't know how they were in so many places at once! They knew exactly where to take pictures to capture the mood of our wedding and reception. The pictures turned out beautifully, and there are so many that I am having a hard time narrowing down the ones I want to frame.

We selected John Arcara Photography for our May 25, 2013 wedding and were nothing short of impressed! His talent, artistic ideas, and overall shots are incredible. He makes the entire process fun and relaxing, even the bridal party had a good time! You never feel pressured into shots or "setup"; his style is natural and fun, which comes across in the beautiful memories he creates. We are so happy that we were able to have John photograph our wedding last October. We just picked up our wedding album and it is beautiful. John, Lovina, and Matt photographed and filmed our wedding on June 22nd and every moment of the day was like one surprise after another from them. Their photos were beyond creative and excellently executed and they were so attentive to us and every little detail of the day. In less than 24 hours we had photos to see already and a photo album they created while we were still at the reception! We even had a video "trailer" by the morning after. The service was impeccable and so fun - it felt like we were hanging with our friends while taking our photos. I could not be happier with the results and look forward to using them again for special events in the future. And P.S., they also did our engagement photos which were magnificent!

John is an incredible photographer! Our engagement session was so fun and the pictures were great. BUT the wedding day photos (which I have only seen a handful on his blog so far) are absolutely breathtaking! Everyone keeps saying the pictures he took look like it was a VOGUE photo shoot!! We got married on 6/7 during a tropical storm, and outside...but with Johns amazing pictures, you would never have known! I cant wait to see the thousands of pictures from the wedding very soon! He's incredible and I totally recommend them!!!!

we had the pleasure of having John and his team take photos at our wedding this past August. The entire process was so much fun. Jon made it so easy for us on our day that we were having fun and not worrying about anything. Also, the photos turned out absolutely gorgeous. 6 months later, we still look through our photos and remember what a beautiful day it was.

We had to switch photographers last minute, and John and his team were great. They met with us on very little notice, even while in the middle of a move, and we ended up getting Scott and Devin for our wedding day. They did a great job, capturing all the moments and making sure everyone in our families got the photos they wanted. They were always very willing to talk to us and learn what we wanted, and we really appreciated that. Prices are definitely high, but we're excited to have John edit all our images and to have a shared copyright. We only have a few shots so far, but their quality and artistry has really impressed us.

We are so thrilled that we booked John for our wedding. Not only are his pictures stunning but he is so fun to work with. He had the entire bridal party laughing and having a great time. John Arcara is without a doubt the best photographer I've ever worked with. A consumate professional and a gifted artist, he made us feel at ease immediately when he arrived at our wedding to begin taking photographs. His fun and friendly rapport with the wedding party and our guests made everyone very comfortable, and the skill with which he and his colleague Josh worked was amazing. The photographs they took were even better than we could have imagined. He has an incredibly imaginative eye for composition and scene. John and his second shooter, Josh were very professional and unobtrusive during our ceremony and reception. John took some awesome shots of the bridal party post-ceremony and got us to our reception in time to enjoy the cocktail hour! He put everyone at ease and made me feel so comfortable! Our friends and family were blown away by the slide show on display during the reception; it was so exciting to get a sneak peek at our wedding photos before the night was over! I constantly found myself on their website and blog looking at photos of things I may want and places I'd like to have my wedding, so naturally I just had to have them shoot our big day. We locked in our date the moment we settled on our reception spot. The day spent with them was perfect and better than I could ever imagine. There are just not enough words to describe the experience you get with John Arcara's photography. They are truly amazing people and produce amazing work. We will be forever thankful of everything that John and Lovina have done for us since the very first day we had spoke with them. We had only been engaged for 6 weeks and really hadn't started much planning until one day my mom called and said she found this photographer that we just had to check out. So we looked at John Arcara Photography's website and new immediately that we had to call and set up a meeting and an engagement session. We met with John a few days before our engagement session and we walked away smiling ear to ear because we just knew we had found the perfect photographer for our wedding. The day of our engagement session just sealed the deal. The photo shoot was so much fun and you can just tell that John just loves what he does. Even my husband had a great time and he normally hates taking pictures. John had made the session feel like we were hanging out with an old friend even though we had only met just a few days prior. We booked John Arcara Photography that day. From the time when we booked John Arcara it was about 20 months until the wedding. Whenever we had a question or a concern or needed advice on a vendor or something photography related they were always available through email, phone calls, or setting up a meeting and they were always super helpful. When the day of the wedding came we were so excited when John and his assistant Josh showed up and knew that we were in for fantastic photos and a lot of fun while taking the pictures. They got to work immediately and they did not miss a moment. Throughout the day they just made everyone feel so comfortable; everyone was laughing and it was like we had known John for forever. John is just such a creative photographer and can take any location and make it look amazing and unique. Once the reception started you didn't even know John was there taking photos of all the important moments to remember. John also does a really awesome job at making you feel like you are the most amazing bride and groom in the world. Once we saw the pictures, we were speechless. I can't even remember how many times I have looked at the pictures...I just can't stop looking at them because they captured the exact feeling and emotion of the day and that is due to the amazing photographers who took them. And the photos are just not pictures of us on our wedding day they are art. Everyone and anyone who has seen our pictures just can't say enough wonderful things about the pictures. And we are lucky because now we have the most important day captured in the most amazing way. The experience and the product and the service that was received was well worth every penny spent if not more. Since we had just an amazing experience my sister, who is recently engaged, didn't have to think twice about what photographer she was using. Shortly after being engaged she called John and booked him and set up her engagement session. Their engagement photos came out different than ours, but amazing because John just knows how to read a couple and how to capture them.
