John is an amazing photographer and wonderful to work with! We did engagement photos just to become comfortable with the process and I am so glad we did because they were even better than we could have hoped for. It made the wedding even better because I had zero doubt John would do a great job. He showed up with Heather who was his assistant for the day and I cannot express how wonderful they both were. They were helpful and happily did everything I asked even when it demanded a lot of them. They took the lead on many things as well and when we got the photos back we were so pleased. I cannot say enough wonderful things. I will definitely be using him again in the future for every family photo need. Do yourself a favor and hire John!
John is wonderful and he is great to work with! We had our engagement shoot this past summer then we had our wedding this September. We have many beautiful photos from both days. The one thing I want to say is that I wish we had been more specific on what we wanted in our photos.

I blend guided portraits with candid, documentary-style coverage so you get the best of both worlds – stunning wall-worthy images and all the in-between moments you didn’t even see happening.
You only get one chance to have your wedding day photographed—and most people don’t realize whether they chose the right photographer until the day is already over. I photograph weddings throughout Syracuse and Central New York, including downtown lofts, historic churches, barns, vineyards, country clubs, and lakeside venues. Whether you’re planning a classic ballroom wedding, a rustic outdoor celebration, or an intimate ceremony with close family, I’ll work with you to create a custom photography plan that fits your day.
My approach is calm, organized, and unobtrusive. I help with timelines, light, and locations so you can relax, be present, and enjoy your wedding while I handle the photography.

I have always been creative. I was a sculptor and had work in galleries when I lived out west. My work has been published both nationally and internationally.
