John was the most responsive person I have ever worked with. Not just for our wedding, ever. He was so professional and kind throughout the process. When I asked him at the end of the wedding night if there was anything we could do to help support his business he said leave a review because he hopes his grandkids can look at them one day and know he was an honest hard working man.

We hired John through the great reviews from The Knot. He was amazing! Professional, easy to work with, adjusted easily to requests and requested announcements that we forgot to communicate to him, and went above and beyond. The wedding was at a barn and it was hot. He brought individual fans that he had charged up for each member of the wedding party. Incredibly thoughtful.

John was everything we could have asked for in a DJ and then some. He was the most prompt of any of our vendors - responding within minutes usually. He thought of everything and was super flexible and easy to work with. Our dance floor was packed the entire time - he did an awesome job playing all the right songs and he ensured he had the right music for our special songs. He also ensured that on the day of the wedding, he never rushed us but stood waiting at the ready for whenever we were ready to do the next thing. The value for his services is incredible too. John was an absolutely amazing DJ! He was incredibly quick with replies, was very detailed in getting to know us and what we wanted, and took his time making sure everything was perfect for us. He took it upon himself to check in with our officiant and bridal party before our ceremony to make sure everyone was set, which was one less thing for us to try to coordinate, and checked in frequently throughout the night. What truly stood out was his unexpected kindness in providing wedding coordinator services without being asked. Additionally, his thoughtful gesture of providing accessories like mini-fans for each bridal party member was a delightful touch. On top of it all, he even took a few photos on the side, capturing moments we’ll treasure forever. With his wealth of experience, it’s astonishing that he remains so modestly priced. John is a very professional DJ with so much more! I don't think our wedding day could have gone any more smoothly and that goes a large part to him. John went above and beyond for our wedding 7/15/23 at Hidden Vineyard. Throughout the entire planning process he was attentive and gave excellent advice on planning and music. He was careful to ensure all of our suggested songs were correct before adding them to his playlist, was very accommodating to changes we made, and overall made the planning process so much easier. On the wedding day EVERYTHING went off without a hitch and we couldn't have done it without John. It was 90+ degrees and he even brought mini fans for the bride + groom and some of our older guests :) I cannot recommend John enough! If you're unsure, just go for it. This is a DJ who will not only provide the music but fetch you cold drinks after your 90-degree outdoor ceremony!! John was absolutely wonderful and went out of his way to cater to our special requests. We chose to have a friend play guitar during our ceremony, and John was completely flexible about only covering reception music. We had a small wedding (approx. 70) but John kept everyone out on the dance floor. He understood our musical style perfectly (we both swing dance, and it was a big part of our wedding) and knew how to mix in our requests at the right moments. Our guests, young and old, had the time of their life. He made sure to get the correct version of our first dance song, even though it was by a lesser-known artist. He even mashed together two songs to create a special dance for my dad and I. He also went along with a few novel ideals, including a unique anniversary dance game. We really appreciated that he was open to our suggestions and let us get creative with how the night went. Most importantly, he sent us files ahead of time so that we knew the songs would sound perfect. He's great at getting back to you through email or phone. Highly, highly recommend.

John provided an exceptional experience, going above and beyond our expectations. Not only did he provide a wonderful DJ service by playing requested songs, but he kept our evening itinerary moving. As Bride and Groom, our focus was on greeting and conversing with guests. John kept us on task and provided the little extras that we weren't expecting. For example, he helped the decorators with last minute details, carried our salads to our table for us, provided small fans at our table when it became quite warm with the evening sun blasting through the windows, helped keep order by sending our guests table to by table through the buffet line, announced our blessing giver, toast giver, cupcake baker, and helped us gather groups for pictures. Honoring our request to play the ND and NE fight songs was another highlight. Many of our guests commented on his services and pleasant personality. We only have wonderful things to say about John. He did a tremendous job at our wedding reception and we highly recommend him.

John did an exceptional job at our wedding in Jan. 2023. He was very thorough with his questionnaire leading up to our wedding and answered all of our questions. He helped guide us with his expertise when we were planning, as well as during the ceremony with timing everyone to walk in/organize everything. John even went above and beyond to make sure both my husband and I had drinks ready for us when we walked into the reception and tissues at our table!! He made sure everyone was dancing and his song selection for the night was top notch! He even made sure to encourage everyone to sign our guest book and hit the photo booth! John over exceeded our expectations for our DJ. Durning the wedding planning process, he was always quick to respond to emails and provided insight if we had any questions. Not only was he on top of the music the day of the wedding, but he made sure we stuck to a timeline. John is very nice and professional I would recommend him to anyone, as we had a great experience, his price was fair, and he cares about his job and your day! John was an amazing DJ for our wedding. Thorough communication with John began immediately after booking him. He would send reminder emails of when important things were due. John did a great job setting up music for our beach wedding and making sure our officiant had a microphone so we all could be heard. John has a huge catalog of music to choose from and also sends out the most requested and popular playlists if you're looking for help. During our reception, John kept me and my husband up to date when the dinner service was running late. He did a great job helping to organize our table dash photos. He sent clips to make sure all of our important songs were the correct versions. We sent a full playlist for our reception and John stuck to our requests. We let John choose the song for our last days at the reception and it was the perfect selection. He had everyone at the reception on the dance floor circled around my husband and me, dancing and singing. I would 100% recommend John for your event. Not only was his work impeccable, his prices were great compared to other DJ services that we found. John was a very large part in making our day go flawless and stress free. We are so happy we chose John to be a huge part of our big day.

John has been incredible through this whole difficult journey of mine. We had to reschedule our wedding because I needed brain surgery and was met with so many challenges. He was so understanding. Then we ended up canceling due to increasing health problems. He gave our deposit back! And was so nice. He is very easy to communicate with and very prompt. Highly recommended!

We simply don't have enough space in this review to mention all of the wonderful things about working with John! He was our absolute favorite vendor to work with for our wedding. We knew we didn't want a flashy DJ with a "production-company" vibe, we didn't want to break the bank, and we wanted our wedding music to reflect who we are as a couple. DJ John completely delivered on all of these things! He was incredibly responsive throughout the process (which can often be hard to find in a wedding vendor) and was very accommodating of our music desires for the evening (including our reception playlist and a specific starting point in the song for the bride processional). He was not only a terrific DJ on the night of our wedding by keeping the dance floor lively, but he was also an excellent emcee and did a wonderful job of interacting with the crowd for things such as shuttle announcements and interviewing the "winners" of our anniversary dance. He even went above and beyond in his role as a DJ by providing recommendations of other vendors in the area during the wedding planning process and even carrying the dinner plate for one of our guests with a disability from the buffet table to his guest table. We received endless compliments from our guests about DJ John and feel so lucky to have gotten to work with the best DJ in Southwest Michigan (and, I'd argue, the entire Midwest!). He will forever be one of the greatest choices we made about our wedding day!

We can’t say enough great things about John! The amount of value he provided to our day exceeded our expectations. From the start, John was very quick to respond and answer any and all of our questions. Leading up to the wedding, he had a simple questionnaire for information he needed and provided clips of all our special songs to ensure he had the correct version of each song. The day of our wedding was seamless and John was a big part in timing of our events. He’d check-in with us to see if we needed anything and give us timing reminders of what was upcoming. He was also super flexible. The playlist we originally provided for dancing wasn’t playing out as we expected and John was able to switch up the music on the spot to keep the dance floor full all night. John did a wonderful job as our DJ in August. He had great communication with us prior to the wedding, he was always VERY quick to respond and made sure he had every detail exactly right. Day of he arrived early and worked to set up indoors and outdoors. He did a fantastic job keeping the dance floor going and played just the right mix of variety for us. He is very reasonably priced for his skill and the amount of effort he puts in! Would 100% recommend!

DJ John is the BEST! He communicated quickly and effectively from the first day I inquired about his services. My now hubby and I choose special songs and John confirmed our selections by sending clips ahead of time. He made sure everything ran smoothly the day of our wedding! Not only did he have all the songs we asked for, but he also arrived early, and proactively checked in with us as well as with the planners throughout the day to ensure everyone was doing well and things were proceeding as scheduled. John was fantastic. He was VERY reasonably priced for what he did. He showed up 2 hours early to set up which he did not charge us for. He worked well with the other vendors in particular the officiant to make sure the couple’s (my son and now daughter in law) day went smoothly. Everyone had so much fun. John was our DJ for our wedding last night. He was amazing! He was super easy to get in touch with right from the beginning, responded within a few hours at most. He was very thorough and called to confirm all of our requests a week prior to the wedding. He also sent clips of all the key songs to make sure they were the correct versions. The night of our wedding, John was on time fully prepared. He didn't rush things but kept them moving as needed. He continued to confirm things throughout the night before hand (like checking to make sure he had the correct songs cued up for certain dances). He took pictures for us, he got us drinks from the bar during dinner, and he even had cough drops for me when my throat started getting sore from all the talking and singing! We could not have been happier with our choice to have John as our DJ! 100% recommend for any special event!

I seriously cannot begin to express how incredible John was. He was a blast to work with. My now-wife and I have a very eclectic music taste, and we also chose that vast majority of our songs ourselves. John was able to work with that and absolutely killed it! Not only that, he went above and beyond his DJing services. He carried our food back to the table during dinner and found time to get the OK from us for certain song portions during the night. He does announcements for your party and does a great job choreographing portions of the night. All in all, I cannot recommend him enough.

John provided DJ services for our 50th Anniversary party - he was great! He was very attentive and helped manage the evening. He was very easy to work with and played all the music we requested. We highly recommend him.

John was a class act as the D. J. for my son's wedding reception! He was extremely thorough in preparation ahead of the event, gave us extensive resources and input to assist with planning, and worked seamlessly with our wedding planner the night of the wedding to ensure the event went off beautifully. From moving the schedule around to accommodate last minute changes, to being our announcer for all the transitions, John took the worry and stress away and allowed us all to relax and enjoy the reception.

John was absolutely PHENOMENAL! He got so many compliments from our guests! He does not just come and set up a dj table and play music all night, he goes above ajd BEYOND! He arrive pleanty early to get himself set up and organized, he helped make mine (the bride) and other guests plates in the buffet line that needed help, he coordinated with other vendors the day of so we didnt have to stress about it, he triple checked important songs beforehand including sending a clip to make sure he had the right ones. He rolled with the last minute change of order to our bridal party line up MINUTES before the reception entrance. Most importantly he made sure we were having fun and kept the crowd dancing! I cannot speak highly enough of him! A true old fashion professional!

John made our day stress free. Our original DJ got COVID and John stepped in with 3 days before our wedding and did not miss a beat. He worked with our other vendors and made everything go seamlessly. He is timely and very professional. Where do we begin? Choosing John for our wedding DJ was an easy choice from the beginning and that choice did not disappoint. He is not only professional, organized & highly interested in creating personalized service for his patrons, he is also just a genuine and kind person. John was a great DJ for our wedding at Shadowland Ballroom in St. Joseph, MI! He was professional, timely, organized and most of all helped to keep everything going smoothly throughout the reception! While we were enjoying our reception with the company of our guests, John was in the background communicating with our photographer, wedding coordinator, transportation drivers, and family members to plan what was next! We truly couldn’t have pulled off such an amazing reception without him. Would highly recommend to anyone getting married!

John was a pleasure to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process and was always extremely professional and quick to respond. He is very attentive and ALWAYS gets back to you within 24 hours (usually within an hour or two). When you hire John, you get more than just a DJ since he essentially acts as a day-of coordinator. John helped to coordinate the ceremony on the day of, helped release tables for dinner, brought battery operated fans for the bridal party and others who needed them, and coordinates with other vendors to ensure that our wedding day went off without a hitch. He goes over the timeline with you prior to the wedding and makes sure that everything progresses as planned and keeps you on schedule so that you and your mothers/fathers/guests/etc. don't have to worry about the timeline and can just enjoy the party. John works with you to make your day exactly the way you want it and goes out of his way to download the exact music you want (even if it is a part of a YouTube video or something) so that you can have the exact versions of your special songs that you'd like. He was even able to play a song during the ceremony that was written and recorded by one of our bridal party members (we provided the .mp3 file) and he created a "mash-up" of a couple different songs for my wife's father-daughter dance so that they could surprise the entire reception. He sends short clips of all of your important songs so that you can be sure it is the correct version to avoid any awkward misunderstandings on wedding day. He will act as the emcee on your wedding day and will manage all introductions and announcements prior to toasts, dances, etc. (really whatever you want him to announce). He checks in with you well in advance of the wedding to make sure he is familiar with the venue and brings ALL of the audio equipment needed. He provides all of the microphones, speakers, etc. for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance floor (at our venue he essentially needed 3 separate setups and provided all of this at no additional cost, arriving early to make sure everything was set up way ahead of time). He also plays nice instrumental music prior to the ceremony while your guests are arriving. When it was time to hit the dance floor, John kept the dance floor moving and kept it full throughout the entire night. He worked with us leading up to the wedding day to compile a "do-not-play" list as well as a "must-play" list and really kept the party going. When you hire John, you can rest assured that you will have a VERY reliable DJ who will go above and beyond to make everybody at your wedding comfortable and will do everything in his power to make sure your day goes perfectly. There will be no surprises, communication will be outstanding throughout the entire process, and he will provide all of the services he promises and more. Please don't let his VERY reasonable price point make you nervous or hesitant to hire him. His reviews speak for themselves, and they are all 100% true. If my wife and I could go back in time and plan our wedding again, we would absolutely, positively choose John every single time. As a testament to his outstanding service, we actually had a couple of friends, including one of our bridesmaids, ask for his contact information after the wedding (they are currently planning weddings of their own). John was a pro. He had everything we needed. Checked in with us regularly before the wedding, let us use some equipment and even pick it up prior to the wedding. During the wedding it was a perfect amount of hands-on and hands-off and we had given him a large list of songs (more than what could be played) and he did a great job feeling the energy of the evening and placing different songs a different times to make the experience extraordinary.

John was not only a good DJ, but he made sure to go above and beyond to help us out on our special day. He helped my guitarist friend set up, brought extra speakers and microphones for the ceremony without me even asking, brought mini portable fans for the head table, and released table by table for our dinner buffet. We loved having John as a part of our wedding and we're so happy we found someone at a reasonable price who went the extra mile to make sure our day went as smoothly as possible.

Wow, I can't say enough good things about John Correll. He made my husband and I feel so at ease throughout the whole wedding process because of his attention to detail, his amazing response time, and his concern for us having the best day of our lives. John was such a blessing!! We were referred to John by our Photographer and we are so glad we called! John was very communicative with us and making sure we had the songs and choices we desired! As we were going for our first look photos, John stopped my maid of honor and I and gave us battery operated fans to take along as it was Mid summer (July 6, 2019) He also set fans on our Sweet Heart Table for us to cool down during dinner service! The timing of the ceremony music, the introduction music and the reception never missed a beat! John kept the party going and made sure to keep our guests informed of the schedule for the evening!

After reading reviews on this website and others we decided to use John as our DJ. Not going to lie, we were a little nervous choosing a DJ without seeing him on the job or knowing anyone who had used him previously. We trusted our gut and I’m so glad we did. John was a great communicator throughout our wedding planning process and helped the day go off without a hitch. He was very thoughtful in keeping us updated during the reception of our timeline and made sure to keep everything on schedule. We didn’t have a day of planner and honestly didn’t need one due to John’s organization and promptness. I would highly recommend John as your DJ!

John is excellent! He's not just a DJ, he basically helped make sure our entire wedding went smooth from beginning to end. He goes over everything thoroughly with you to make sure everything is just how you want it. He gives a 5 minute warning before any "events" during the reception, so there are no surprises and everyone knows what to expect. He sets up hours early, to make sure everything is in place. He reminded all our guests to sign our guest book, got drinks ready for our head table and even had glow sticks for the kiddos! He did it all! John did an amazing job at my wedding, 9/22/18 at Gable Hill! He seriously went above and beyond the role of DJ to make the wedding go smoothly, even with on-the-fly schedule and plan changes. John was BEYOND amazing! I initially was a little nervous going off just reviews, but I am so happy! John was so on top of email communication, rarely over just a few hours for a response. Even before signing a contract, John asked if I needed recommendations for other vendors, and the next day had sent me a list of people he has worked with in the past. When it came time to pick music, John provide a questionnaire to fill out, along with a list of popular songs for each part of the wedding. That was SO helpful as a starting point for us. He was very thorough with every answer and even helped me think through day of timelines. We actually fired our officiant the morning of the wedding and John was essential for how smooth the day-of went. He helped us find a new space at the venue to wait that had air conditioning, but had even brought down small fans for us prior to that. Who would have thought to bring fans?! He gave updates on guests coming in and when we should start and helped coordinate everybody into their places. Other reviews say John goes above and beyond, and he does. The bustle on my dress kept coming undone, John noticed us messing with it and had safety pins available without us even asking. Again, who would have thought to bring small fans?! He truly is a person who cares about the experience, wants the day to go great, and clearly loves what he does. His prices were a smiiiidge higher than other quotes I had received, but the complete piece of mind was very worth it. He really provided many services that a day of coordinator would have done. I have zero regrets about choosing John as our DJ and have been shouting from the rooftops how wonderful he is. 10/10, 5 stars, 2 thumbs up, the cat's meow, the whole shebang!

John goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes smoothly! He arrived early to set up and check his systems, came to our ceremony to make sure the speaker and microphone we borrowed from him worked correctly, and responds so quickly to emails. He sent us clips of our most important songs to make sure they are the version we wanted, and double checked multiple times. Most importantly, he kept the dance floor SO FUN! He could read the crowd perfectly and knew exactly the songs to play to keep everyone dancing! I would highly recommend John's services.

I don’t even know where to begin. From being very responsive and incredibly helpful in planning to offering to get drinks for us at the wedding, I couldn’t ask for any better. John was over accommodating, extremely organized, professional, incredibly friendly and so helpful. If you want the best of the best, John's your guy.

John was helpful in answering all of our questions, and he was attentive to the guests, as well David and I. My older brother was being a little annoying, and John handled it with professionalism and tact. I also got sick after dinner, and he made sure no one noticed. He was helpful before, during, and after the wedding. I did a lot of research when hiring a DJ and I'm so glad I picked John!

John was the DJ for our wedding and he was awesome to work with. Deciding which DJ to book was no easy task, but we could not have been happier with how it turned out. John was very responsive throughout the whole process and very professional. We had a very extensive playlist and do not play list and he was very flexible in downloading everything that we asked to play. You can tell he really cares about you having the best night possible. Throughout the day/evening he was on top of everything. He arrived plenty early to get set up and was flexible in moving some equipment, when the set up wasn't what he originally expected. My friend was our officiant and John was proactive at getting on the same page as the officiant so that the ceremony went off without a hitch. He also acted almost like a coordinator the whole night. He always confirmed if we were ready for key songs/moments in the night and gave us 5 minute warnings when things were about to start. He did the same for our photographer and coordinator so that everyone was on the same page and no shots were missed or nothing went off schedule. Even our day of coordinator mentioned to us how great he was to work with. The music was great the whole night and I got multiple comments about how good it was and how the dance floor was great the whole night. We would recommend him to anyone and were very happy to work with him.

From the beginning he has been easy to get a hold of and has responded to all my questions and comments so quickly. We talked for about 30 minutes the week before the wedding to get all the last details figured out which was comforting. Fast forward to the actual wedding and I can honestly say he was worth every penny and then some. John showed up early to set up his equipment and ensure it was all working. We had a brief discussion before the ceremony started to make sure we were on the same page and from then on he ran the show perfectly. John would always come talk to us any time anything big was about to come up so we were prepared, he even would give us warnings such as 5 minute warning before cake cutting. This was something we found so helpful because it gave us time to wrap up what we were doing and prepare for what was to come. Also John had every type of medicine you could need behind his DJ booth as he was giving my new wife cough drops throughout the night which was extremely helpful! The best part about our wedding was that John knew how to keep the mood going. We had a lot of guests who liked to dance and let me tell you John knew exactly what to play and when to play it! He made the evening extremely special and we are both so happy that we went with John for our wedding DJ. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is having a wedding in this area. He was extremely professional, responsive, funny, and all around fun. If you are looking for a DJ I would say look no further because you just found the perfect wedding DJ! John was amazing to work with! In my preparation to finding all of the vendors for our big day he was essential in keeping me sane. He was full of ideas, gave great explanations, offered lots of advice, was patient but was sure to get me all the answers to my questions within 24 hours (something I struggled to get from other vendors and I happen to be very picky about). If you want good quality and customer service he is definitely the way to go!
