When i expressed that i was torn between locations, he gave me the pros and cons for each spot which helped me pick a great location in the end. I ended up sending him my favorite images that i found off of Pinterest (like any bride to be does) and he executed every possible pose like a master of his craft. I could go on and on about how amazing John is at photography and professionalism, but the best part about it all is his pricing. ew non-traditional, backyard wedding, a breeze. Willing to roll with any punches sent our way. That's really important to me with any vendor and he was platinum grade. I mention that first because his actual photography speaks for itself - stunning and candid. He manages to get all the right shots without you even realizing he's there, which is exactly what I wanted, not a photographer who is in your face the whole time not letting you experience your day. His demeanor is calm, which if you can imagine on your wedding day is a welcomed addition, but he's not afraid to direct to get the best possible shot. I was so impressed with his professionalism, timing, photography and overall experience I've already recommended him to family and friends. He shot my brother's wedding too, we joke he is now part of the family - there for all our big milestones. My best advice would be to absolutely book John before his schedule fills up. You will not be disappointed and you will have the most beautiful keepsakes of your big day. 10/10.

big wedding and had a micro-wedding two months early instead. We received our online album within a week and received some initial pictures the day after. It was so nice to see our day in pictures so soon after the wedding. We will definitely use John in the future for any other photography needs.

, so it was important our photographer be able to take beautiful photos inside. I found John on The Knot, saw his work, and was immediately hooked. His photos had a warmth to them that drew me in. I also loved how he shot a mixture of artistic, lifestyle, and portrait photos. John and I connected initially through email, and then there was about a 30-minute phone call with myself, my then fiance, and John. John was so down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and just a chill guy that we felt comfortable immediately. We signed with him shortly after the call. The process with him after that was calm and stress-free. He was always quick to respond to emails. On the day of our wedding he was on-time, professional, had a demeanor that puts you at ease (even if you are not comfortable in front of the camera), and was fun to work with. John posted a handful of our photos on Facebook the morning after our wedding (and let us know by email he had posted them). We were having brunch with family and friends, and it was cool to be able to share photos with them right away. Since our wedding on 1/25/20, we have already received all of our wedding photos and a highlight film John made of our day. The wedding photos are beautiful and our film is incredible. We highly recommend John to anyone that wants a truly talented photographer and an all-around great guy! John, thank you so much for capturing and being a part of our day!

xtremely convenient. This would seem to be the best way to do things in the era of cloud storage. Contrasting this to my sister in law's wedding where she had to fight with the photographers about rights to printing. We are happy to have gone this route. On top of that he was super quick to turn around all our photos after the wedding, 2 weeks. Some of the pictures were even put up on his Facebook photography page the next day. We love all the shots and it's easy to find the picture we want to download or print because it's all organized into subsections. In all, John did a terrific job and I would definitely recommend him!

when a recommendation for John Foley Photography fell on our laps. My future brother-in-law signed John for his wedding in January 2020. My husband and I decided to look into John and set up a meeting. It was after the first 15 minutes that I knew I loved his style and personality and that he had to shoot our wedding. It was the easiest process our of the long year of planning. We were fortunate to have an engagement session before our wedding day and I highly recommend it because it gave us a chance to re-meet John and learn our own style and abilities as models...we werent great. But with John's expertise and eye for a great photo, we somehow managed to have some pretty amazing photos. He makes the process easy, fun, and painless. On the day of my wedding, I was completely confident in John's ability to get the job done. I am so happy with the outcome and the hard work that he put in and had a blast hanging out with him all day, especially on the dance floor 🤣. He will forever be on my list for recommendations and I have already recommended him to any and all cousins/friends that get married after us. THANK YOU JOHN! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE LIKE FAMILY.

fter looking endlessly on the Knot and other sites I gave up. It was my husband who finally ended up finding John Foley using The Knot. Right away I liked many of his pictures on his site. However, it was not until we met him and saw his portfolio. The pictures blew both of us away with his creativity and style. Not to mention that he is super nice, very easy to work with, and speak to. He listened to all of our ideas and visions. During the planning process John was always available to us either with a phone call or email. He responded right away and helped answer any questions we had and ease our minds with the stressful planning process. When the big day arrived, John was on time and very professional. He was helpful with keeping the day on time and flowing as the pictures are a large part of the day. Pictures before, during, and after. Much of the timing all depends on the photographer and how well he/or she is able to manage this. John is great at moving it all along as well as getting the perfect shots. My whole wedding party enjoyed working with him and having him follow us around all day. =) But the biggest compliment that I can give John is that I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer now that I have seen my pictures. He is artistic and creative in his shots. He was able to capture the big and small moments that really tell the story of my wedding day. My family and friends have commented how great the pictures look and I've already had a few people ask me about him. By far, John Foley Photography was the best vendor pick for my wedding.

He did our Engagement photoshoot in December and that was the beginning of our Love Story with John. Amazing photos that truly captured our love for each other. We braved through the bitter cold in Downtown Chicago and John was nothing but the most patient and professional individual. Not too mention, he asked us to go to more spots, freeze but capture even more beautiful shots. We then proceeded to Forest Park, where we first kissed, to catch John's GOLDEN HOUR. Trust us when we tell you, this guy knows his stuff. Beautiful golden hour photos is what we got so please stick to his plan and you will love the results. Next date with John was Sunday Feb 17th when Mom hired him to be at my Bridal Shower. I, Claudia, loved the engagement pictures so much that I thought it would be appropiate to have John at bridal shower so that we could keep same photography style all the way through our wedding photos. Oh what a treat! Beautiful, charming pictures that truly showed everyone's emotions in the room and all the beautiful moments that day. And then came the big day, the best day of our lives! and John hit it out the ballpark once again. Adding a 2nd photographer to our package was also a great decision. Beautiful church ceremony photos from different angles. Beautiful formal family photos. Beautiful everything! Then came PARTY TIME, and with that John's keen eye for capturing all the fun and best emotions during our reception. People keep telling us, this guys catches THE MOMENTS and we couldn't agree more! Finding the perfect wedding photographer was no easy task. We were adamant that we would spend every bit of energy in finding someone that we shared chemistry with and that could give us the warmest and most charming photos to enjoy for years to come. We hit the jackpot with John Foley as he went above and beyond from day one. We look forward to having John capture more beautiful moments in our family. Yup, the Love Story with John must continue! crazy wedding party. Although the wedding was outside in 90 degree weather, you would never be able to tell in the photos. Prior to the wedding John was in contact with us about events, must haves, and really captured the style of photography my husband and I wanted! Not long after (a week!)we received all of our wedding photos!! On top of that, John also wrote a blog about the day!
