John photographed my sister's wedding back in 2018 and I loved the results, so I found him for mine. Same amazing results- especially the reception candids. Hundreds of beautiful memories.

John was amazing to work with from first contact all the way until the end. He captured the exact feel of our day with such an amazing attention to detail. He showed up early to scout our location and gave us suggestions of what photos he felt would turn out great while also being open and honest with us on what we were looking for. Our biggest worry with such a small wedding, 4 people total, having another individual there would change the overall feel. But John was so kind and easy to work with it didn’t change a thing. Everyone we show our photos to are blown away by the quality. We are planning on using John again for a post covid party. Couldn’t recommend him more.

John Heredia was our wedding photographer for our April 2019 wedding and he was the BEST!!!! He is super responsive over phone, text, email — any form of communication really. He is very flexible in scheduling conversations leading up to the big day. He also has a great friends and family deal where I was able to choose an option for free such as extra hours, engagement photos, etc. I chose engagement photos so we got them for free. He and his assistant were great about having our puppy along in the photos! Additionally, he partners with someone who does videography, which was AMAZING and worth the extra cost. Both the wedding photos and the video were INCREDIBLE. John and his team are so, so talented. We couldn’t be happier with our final wedding photos!!!! Also, John is very affordable. Couldn’t recommend him more!!!

John Heredia was a dream photographer! From the initial contact he was extremely responsive, helpful and professional. We communicated a lot and he graciously answered all of my questions and was even able to negotiate some of his packaging to fit our needs. On our wedding day John and his assistant exceeded our expectations. Our photos came out gorgeous and they are unlike many others that I have seen. John was able to capture our day in a beautiful and artistic way that captured not only the story of our day but also our love for one another. The only downfall to having John as your photographer is sitting down and trying to choose your favorites. I wish I could display every photo in our home because they are all so beautiful.

John was so wonderful to work with on our wedding day! He was so fun to be around and instantly made us feel at ease. His personality was so easy-going and he knew how to get us to laugh right before taking pictures so all our smiles were genuine. We're really glad we decided to work with John. He covered our wedding with an associate, and they were both very professional, flexible and kind. It rained all day on our wedding, and John took it in stride and helped us shoot some amazing outdoor photos with the clear umbrellas we had bought. All of the photos really captured the look and feel of our wedding, and there were so many good shots. He delivered almost 600 photos and I hit "favorite" on almost 400 of them! I seriously couldn't stop looking at them for days after receiving them. Thank you, John, for capturing our beautiful day (and making me look pretty beautiful in the process!).

His shots are beautiful, his rapport with the attendees being photographed was light and personable, and he kept open communication before, during and after the wedding all the way to the end of the process with the delivery of our beautiful album. John was truly wonderful! He was our favorite vendor. He was professional, and can read people incredibly well, which explains why his work has so much spirit and personality. I liked that he was able to provide direction clearly and with humor. He cracked me up when he gracefully handled one of the members of the wedding party giving some attitude. Ha! He also gave suggestions to make use of time when things were going awry pre-ceremony, etc.. My brother is a professional photographer and videographer based out of NYC, and he helped me pick John out of a sea of photographers, so I knew that his skill-set as a photographer would be strong. However, I was particularly impressed with him the day-of the wedding in regards to personality, punctuality, and professionalism, and I couldn’t recommend him strongly enough!

Great Photographer! My husband and I selected John as our engagement and wedding photographer after loving his work on his website and other social media platforms. We were looking for a photographer familiar with the Fells Point, Baltimore, MD area as we wanted pictures outside in great areas and John delivered! The pictures turned out great, my husband and both of our families were very impressed with all of the photos. John and his assistant Clare were great to shoot with. The were friendly, fun, and extremely professional. For our family shots and photos of just my husband and I, they knew exactly where we should stand, pose, and I greatly appreciated that they both told me when to fix my hair, veil, necklace, etc. so the pictures turned out beautifully. It was an extremely windy wedding day, but John knew outside photos were important to me and he made it work. In addition, not only were the photos incredible, but he was very timely in communication, responding to all my questions, etc. Overall, great experience.

The most important thing I can say about John is that he takes absolutely stunning photos. We were very happy with the quality of our wedding photos. When we were searching for a wedding photographer, our priority was to find someone who's aesthetic we loved, from whom we could get digital access to print our own photos, and maximize the number of actual hours of shooting on our wedding day within our budget. John fit the bill and did not disappoint. John was also very professional and easy to work with and always responded quickly to our emails. John delivered us beautiful preview photos in a timely fashion. I don't know if this is standard, but it might be an idea to add a line to John's contracts explaining what to expect for preview pictures in terms of timing. As a bride, I was very excited directly following the wedding to see some memories as the day literally flies by, so I think knowing what to expect in advance of the wedding could be helpful. John also finished our album a few days ahead of time so we could prepare Christmas gifts for our family. Overall, I would highly recommend John as your wedding photography. We hired John Heredia for our garden wedding ceremony and party in October 2017, and were extremely pleased with his photos. He showed up ahead of time at the venue to assess locations for shots. We had a great experience working with John for our wedding. Our reception venue at the Pier 5 Hotel had lots of windows and we wanted a photographer who knew how to deal with the glare and changing lighting of the space. John was an excellent choice in this regard. He and his assistant shooter were also very professional and easy to work with. He pulled out our personalities, despite us being camera shy and made the whole thing feel very relaxed and fun. Once we saw the photos, we were even more impressed. He captured our special day beautifully, and we hardly even noticed them on the day! His style of shooting caught small details, candid expressions, and loving family moments that we will cherish in the years to come. We highly recommend.

My now husband and I could not be any happier with our decision to work with John Heredia for our wedding on 8/4/2018. Going into the wedding, we didn’t have specific shots or requirements. John Heredia is amazing and simply the best! From the very beginning, John was personable, organized, accommodating and so easy to work with. I had no idea that I would be as nervous as I was on the big day, yet he helped make me laugh and feel at ease the entire time. John not only captured the big moments beautifully, but also those candid moments that depicted all the real emotions of love, nerves, excitement and happiness of our wedding day. Our photos are stunning, and we especially love our personalized USB drive! When we got our USB drive, he asked if either of our parents would want one and happily sent another copy along to my husband's parents when I told him they would like one. When he informed us that our wedding photos would be delayed about a week, he made it up to us by sending us some of our wedding photos in multiple prints and sizes in a gift box. My husband and I could not be happier with our choice to go with John for our engagement session and wedding that took place last September! John is an absolute professional and was very accommodating as we were planning our wedding. We loved our engagement photo session- John made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera and was great at providing suggestions for different poses (and even helped us take a few photos with our dog!). On the day of our wedding, John was wonderful working with our families and getting beautiful candid and posed photos. We can't overstate how amazing John's work is! We used him for our engagement photo session, and for our wedding and reception. First, we appreciated the easy-to-read contract and simple fee structure that spelled out all the details, and included no hidden fees. We got exactly what we asked for before the deadlines. We had a very small wedding, which comes with its own challenges. John ensured that he perfectly captured every moment, so by looking at the album, our wedding has the look and feel of a much larger affair. Picking your wedding photographer is probably one of the most stressful parts of planning a wedding. Not only will your wedding photos grace your walls, albums, and social media feeds, they will become the best way for you to remember one of the most important days of your life. I understand the pressure and the stress, but the fact that you're thinking about hiring John means you can stop worrying right now. John is not just a professional, he is an artist. When we were thinking about what we wanted out of our wedding photos, we knew we wanted to have the classic portraits, but were far more interested in capturing authentic and candid moments. John exceeded all of our expectations - the portraits (those ones you imagine showing to your grandkids one day) are beautiful, pure, and not stiff at all, and the hundreds of candid photos from both the ceremony and the reception truly capture the joy of the day. John is relaxed, easygoing, and completely unobtrusive. I actually don't remember seeing him or his second photographer at the reception at all... and yet somehow he captured every single moment beautifully! We did have to wait longer than many people I know to receive our photos (and it can be hard to wait since you are so excited to see them!), but the results are astounding. True art takes time and it is well worth the wait. I promise you, your wedding photos will be unique, classic, and elegant.

Totally enjoyed working with John from our engagement photos to our wedding day photos and our wedding videography recommendation. There are no hidden agendas, pushy salesman or small print to overlook. He was always very professional and patient with us and our bridal party. His eye for beautiful photos are amazing. He captured moments that I didn't know existed. He is so talented including his assistant. She was just as professional and also knows how to capture that perfect shot. Funny because the wedding day was a blur and I was telling my husband, I didn't think we got certain shots or moments I wanted because of the business throughout the day and I was saying to my husband I don't think we are going to have many photos, because I barely saw John. LOL!! When we received our photos, I couldn't have been more wrong. John and his assistant captured everything I wanted and more without being intrusive. I loved the candid photos with my 1001 facial expressions. I was able to relive the day and see how guests enjoyed the evening. He really told a story from start to finish. Also what impresses me most is how he uses a space and turns it into a beautiful photo. We got married on the rooftop in downtown Baltimore...the skyline was gorgeous except for a few cranes setting in the background. But John was able to capture several amazing photos of my husband and I without anyone knowing a crane was there. Lastly, John recommended a videographer for us upon my asking because I was burnt out shopping around for vendors. His recommendation was fantastic, Jon (the videographer) exceeded our expectations 10x over. People are still talking about our wedding video and photos. I can't say enough about John Heredia Photography. He's amazing and you will be more than pleased with your final results. And he's a great guy to work with.

John Heredia is the way to go! He was very professional, communicative, and very responsive leading up to our big day. He does a great job at not giving you the "average" wedding shots. We are so impressed with how he captured the spirit of our wedding day. Super easy to work with, relaxed, and not as high strung as some of the photogs from weddings I've been in. I cannot begin to say enough good things about John Heredia. We used him as our photographer for both our engagement shoot and our wedding and we were just so blown away with his artistry, passion and overall ease to work with. When we were first researching wedding photogs we met with John to just get a feel for him and talk about options. He immediately put us at ease and it felt like talking to a friend rather than a salesperson pushing us into things we didn’t want. When we did our engagement shoot he was equally helpful in making us feel comfortable – this was especially huge since my husband isn’t typically very comfortable with posing for pictures. John helped us laugh and enjoy ourselves. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted or expected from engagement photos, but John guided us through them all (even working to have our beloved dog in a few shots!) and they turned out amazing! The day of the wedding was exactly the same. He helped to make sure all of the bride and groom’s party and our many family members were comfortable in the photos. What was even more amazing is that he was so willing to work with me to create the desired photos. Beforehand he asked specifics about what I wanted from wedding photos, including timing. I have to admit, when it came to our wedding shots I had VERY specific ideas. John made sure that I got exactly what I wanted, and it was so nice to just relax on the day of the wedding and have him make my dreams a reality. The photos turned out amazing, and are such a great reflection of my husband and I, and our friends and families. John is so incredibly adaptable to whatever situation arises or whatever the bride and groom want! He knew how to incorporate the things that are important to us as a couple into our photos, and could totally read us (including when my husband was tired of taking photos at the reception and just wanted to go for a cocktail instead!). Best Photographer Around – Talented, Fun, & Friendly; Highly Recommend My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with John Heredia Photography since last fall. My husband and I got engaged on March 21, 2015, and got right into wedding planning for our May 14, 2016 wedding. One of our top priorities was finding the “perfect” engagement and wedding photographer, so we researched, scheduled numerous in-person meetings with photographers in and around the area, researched again, and scheduled more in-person meetings – we just weren’t finding what we were looking for. I then turned to my wonderful Matron of Honor for some help and guidance, and she is the one who pointed us in John’s direction after doing some research on The Knot. We did our research on him ourselves, perused through his website (his work was flawless, and everything checked out). So we decided to fill out John's recommended questionnaire (allows him to get to know his clients on a more on personal level before actually meeting them) and scheduled an in-person meeting with him. We met a Panera in Baltimore, MD and our meeting was just so organic, as we were very impressed with his background, experience, and his passion for what he does. We knew it was meant to be and that he was exactly what we were looking for in a photographer for our special day, so needless to say we hired him! October 2015 marked our first shoot with John, it was our engagement shoot at the National Harbor in Oxen Hill, MD. We somehow beat out the heavy rain that came down that afternoon by milliseconds and just had such a fun time shooting with John. John had such awesome visions for great shots, poses, etc. and we trusted him to guide us through the whole process. Let’s just say we were extremely pleased with our engagement photos, as was our family/friends. In March 2016, I even sneakily planned a boudoir shoot with John because I wanted it to be the ultimate surprise for my (soon-to-be) husband. My boudoir book was my tangible wedding gift to him. This type of shoot was completely out of my comfort zone, but John made me feel super comfortable throughout the entirety of the shoot. Again, he had a vision and we just went with it, working on the fly sometimes as well. The photos and photo book turned out gorgeous (John also helped me design a stellar photo book), and let’s just say my husband was very surprised and pleased with the final product. Then, May 14 2016 came – our wedding day! John and his team handled the day with ease and was overly prepared for whatever was thrown their way. They were also very understanding of and accommodating to our visions and wishes for that day. From the "getting ready" photos to the ceremony photos to the family/bridal party photos to the cocktail hour photos to the bride/groom photos to the reception photos, John and team conquered them all effortlessly. John and his two team members knew the exact shots to capture during our special day’s festivities, as they captured every special moment we could have ever thought of and more. We were extremely pleased with the results and look forward to pulling together our wedding album – it’s going to be so hard choosing certain ones because we have so many favorites! Overall, we were VERY happy with your engagement/boudoir/wedding services, photos, and experiences provided by John Heredia Photography. Everything was just so fantastic and we would do it all over again if we could!

John was fantastic to work with! I knew that I was willing to spend a bit more of my budget on pictures since they last forever and John was worth every penny. We had a great engagement photo shoot during which John helped my fiance and I get used to having our picture taken. This is was helpful since we both hate it. On the day of our wedding John was on time, professional and unobtrusive. Our wedding started late due to traffic but he rolled with everything really well. When we needed a break from the camera it was not an issue. He handled my niece (6 years old) and nephew (4 years old), who were both in the wedding, like a champ. My mother and everyone in the wedding party were thrilled with John and found him very easy to work with. I would absolutely hire John again.

We hired John Heredia for our November 7, 2015 wedding at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, VA. We were very happy with John. He was a great person to work with, very responsive to our questions, and we loved our engagement and wedding photos! Our families are still raving over the photos. I was particularly happy with the large variety of photos he took of people and décor. I also appreciated the uniqueness and artistic quality of the photos - many were the standard wedding photos of family, etc., which of course we wanted, but he also took some unique shot of me with my bouquet, the cake, etc. We would highly recommend John!

We absolutely loved the work John and his team did for our engagement session and our wedding! John was overall flexible, professional, and a joy to work with. He is reasonably priced and produces excellent work. John is also very flexible - he was willing to come to DC and walk around our neighborhood to find the best spots for our engagement shoot. And he was willing to drive out to Lovettsville, Virginia on the weekend of a horrible storm for our wedding day. John and his team went above and beyond to capture these important and special moments for us. During our engagement session, John made my husband and me feel comfortable, made us laugh, and helped us forget all about our nerves. John asked us for feedback after our engagement shoot, to see what worked and didn't work, so that he and his team could make adjustments for the wedding day. I really appreciated this because it showed me John's professionalism and showed how much he cared about producing the best product for us. Our wedding was on the same weekend that a major storm made its way through the DC/VA area, which made my husband and me very nervous about whether we would be able to get quality shots of our wedding day (which took place outside!). But John and his team were on top of it! John has a great artistic eye and was able to take advantage of the weather and the venue. John and his team were amazing the entire day. They got amazing shots of everything we wanted and did so without blocking anyone's view or getting in the way. My husband and I also purchased the wedding video package. This, too, was reasonably priced, excellent quality, and the final product brought me to tears the first time I watched it (and continues to do so every time I re-watch it). Unlike most wedding videos that tend to be long and drawn out, John and his team gave us a wonderful snapshot of the important moments from our wedding without making it too long. My husband and I are extremely pleased with John and his team. We are so thankful to John and his team for doing such an excellent job during our engagement session and in capturing our wedding day. John is fun to work with and we would recommend him in a heartbeat!

John worked with my new fiancé to capture the special moment of our proposal. A destination proposal can be a difficult moment to capture professionally on camera because of the planning that goes into it ahead of time [I live in NC, my fiancé lives in WA, and we got engaged in DC], but John was the perfect photographer for the job! The communication, responsiveness, and professionalism that John displayed from my fiancé’s initial contact with him all the way through the quick delivery of his amazing photos following the proposal, was impeccable. We chose an hour long session with 10 photos and were very pleased with the quality and quantity of time we spent with John and his wife, as well as the quality of the photos that John produced. John Heredia captured our special day in the style of photojournalism. Months after the wedding - life took on a fast pace with going on our honeymoon, moving across the country, starting new jobs, and building our first new home. Then we get a special email from John telling us our pictures are ready and it was looking through the pages of a beautiful documentary. The whirr of present time froze as we watched the photos reveal each moment of our wedding day - he was spot on and sealed our most precious smiles, tears, hugs, and laughs in stunning photos. Bravo. He was decisive and corralled the family very well for portraits. His talent, professionalism and artistry completed the entire package. If he were out West near us we would sign him on to do our maternity photos!

John and his team were amazing to work with. We chose one of the photo and video packages and are so happy we did! Both the photos and video we received afterwards were phenomenal. Fortunately my husband and I did a first look, because by the time the ceremony started, we had torrential downpours and had to quickly move everyone inside. John and the videographers moved seamlessly and were inside, set up, and ready to capture the ceremony. There was a quick break in the storm and John and the team got everything setup within about 30 minutes in two separate locations outside to make sure we got all of our remaining formal photos. Then, just to add more fun and keep John on his toes, there was a tornado warning! What's amazing is when you look at all the photos, you wouldn't have any idea there were any weather issues, everything looks stunning. We received a USB of our photos, and even the USB is a keepsake! It's wrapped in one of the photos from our first look - love it! We're beyond happy with everything we received. and would definitely recommend you get both photo and video!!

After a charming spring-time engagement shoot in a park, and a timeless wedding shoot at a botanical garden, my husband and I asked John Heredia to work with us to capture our very first pregnancy. Having had two prior extremely positive experiences with John, we had every confidence that our maternity photo shoot would be a tremendous success! In scheduling the appointment, John was responsive, attentive, and detail-oriented. In conducting the photo shoot, John's artistry and creativity was very much apparent! He took lovely photos of my husband and I, finding elegant ways to feature my growing belly. John even incorporated a pretty little yellow and white lace dress into the photo session (a gift for Baby Girl from my Great Aunt). We cannot say enough positive things about John and his work. He is an artist and a professional - you can't ask for more. We fully anticipate inviting him back to capture images of our growing family!

I'm actually writing this a second time because the first one didn't go through. I used John Heredia this past June, and I later received 1300 edited photos in a custom photo wooden Zip drive. I would reccomend booking him early, but he is oh so worth the wait. He was incredibly professional and was always right where he needed to be to capture every special moment. He used the natural light to create beautiful romantic photos of me and my husband. All of my guests were so impressed with him. He was the only one there other than my husband that actually reduced the stress and busy feel of the day. His photos tell an incredible story, and he is an astonishingly talented photographer. Just go with whatever he reccomend, but gave me plenty of opportunities for my random spur of the moment ideas. FIVE STARS!!!

Hiring John Heredia as our photographer was one of the best choices we made for our wedding, and he was one of our favorite vendors to work with. His prices were reasonable and he always responded quickly to our questions. Our photos are beautiful -- a good mix of formal portraits and "action shots." Like most brides, I was very nervous about finding a great photographer for my wedding. John really exceeded all of our expectations. He's truly a pleasure to work with because not only is he extremely talented but he is so organized and responsive! I really appreciated the fact that John was so accessible to talk on the phone or email about details before and after the wedding. John did an amazing job with our engagement and wedding photos. John did our engagement photos and the photos for our wedding and we could NOT have been happier with the final product. He got every shot we wanted on our big day and then some! My husband and I wanted to make it a tradition to take "nice photos" around our anniversary every year, so of course we thought of John. We use these photos for our Christmas cards and then to have them (in some cheesy way, to look back at when we are older!). We have been so happy with these small sessions with John and he always takes photos that we love. He is super flexible and easy to work with and we definitely look forward to continuing this in the future!

I am so glad that we went with John Heredia as our photographer. We decided to do an engagement shoot before the wedding as well. To be honest, my fiance was a bit unsure about the whole idea of engagement shots since he's a bit more reserved, but John made everything so easy. He helped us relax during the shoot and we ended up having a lot of fun - and with several gorgeous photos that really captured us as a couple. John makes sure to get to know you beforehand, and that comes through in the final product. Afterward my fiance kept saying how glad he was that John was our photographer and that he was looking forward to the wedding shots because of how great our engagement shoot was. I can't say enough good things about John!

My husband and I chose John as our wedding photographer after reviewing his website. We both liked his work and after we met with him it was a done deal! John was great to work with in the planning process and on the day of our wedding! When we received the photos we were very happy with the results and the amount of photos we received! John Heredia and his team were amazing for the wedding. He worked with us early on to figure out what kind of mood we wanted for that day as well as types of pictures and number of family pictures. He worked with us to get the best deal in terms of when to utilize a second photographer to save money and still get all the pictures that we wanted in. The number and quality of pictures that were captured were great all the while I never felt like any of the photographers were in our face or taking over a moment. It was all done very professionally and smoothly. Highly recommend.

John was the photographer for my courthouse wedding. It was only me my now husband, and John as our witness! He was very profesional and accommodating. We love the end result, and the pictures were the perfect way to share our wedding with our family out side the US. We are no models, but he made us feel as we were and it showed in the pictures.

John is an amazing photographer with both the training and artistic talent you want for truly beautiful wedding photos! I wanted to book him for my wedding but he was already booked for our date, so his assistant was the photographer for our wedding. He agreed to do my bridal portraits though since those could be done at any time, and I love them! He and his assistant were both easy to work with, my wedding day was captured beautifully, and he did a great job at making me feel and look natural during the bridal portrait session. I felt pretty silly posing for so many photos, but he made it a fun and memorable experience. I gave 5 stars for everything except value. When you book a photographer and videographer, you should not be looking at value, you should be looking at quality. Spend less on your flowers that will die or skip the overpriced favors that people honestly will not even remember - you want the best photos to capture this day forever. Find other areas to skimp, but not this one. His work is worth every penny.

John Heredia and his team has helped make sure we never forget our wedding day. We have some amazing pictures to remind us of the most amazing days of our lives! Unbeknownst to us, he managed to capture some of the most memorable moments of our wedding celebrations without making us feel like fish in an aquarium. The most amazing thing about John was his willingness to work within our budget (which was not a whole lot), be flexible with us on time, bring an additional photographer to the event and not charge us an arm and a leg to attend two events on two different days in two different cities. We were blessed to have him attend our wedding functions. The pictures are simply stunning and 9 months later we still feel like we are reliving our wedding day every time we look at our over 1000 pictures. His eye for detail was amazing! He noticed the unique cuff links and detail in the jewelry and even managed to photograph the inscriptions on our wedding rings. He was non-intrusive during all the wedding ceremonies and he beautifully captured every detail of our Indian wedding ceremony. He was wonderful to work with and we recommend him to everyone that asks.

We employed John for our wedding this past September. We signed up for an engagement session, 6 hours of photographer on the day of and a videographer for an hour. We were hesitant to use a videographer due to the price for one hour but in the end, it was worth it. We were provided with both an edited version of the video as well as the raw footage. John was very friendly and easy to work with. My wife and I are somewhat shy when taking official photographs and John was able to make us laugh, direct us in a subtle manner and really made us comfortable. He was attentive to our requests as well. On the day of, he took over 500 photos and we didn't even notice he was there most of the time (which is one less thing to worry about). We received our photos about 3 months after the event which I think is a pretty good turnaround (I've heard that some couples don't receive their photos until 6 months later). He provided us with a custom designed USB that included both high resolution photos and smaller sized ones. The photos looked great and all our guests have said they captured the day perfectly.

John did a terrific job photographing the pre-ceremony, the ceremony, the family formals, and the reception. Just beautiful, memorable photos of each. He brought a second photographer, so he really caught everything! He did a great job capturing our guests' happiness at the party. And he was so gracious in taking all the special photo setups I requested. I was a little disappointed in the photos of my groom and me right after the ceremony. They looked a little stiff, a little posed, and too much like other photos I'd seen of newly wedded couples. I don't feel like he captured our individuality. This may be because we didn't do an engagement session, a measure that many brides/photographers recommend, but in our case was impossible because it was a destination wedding nowhere near where we live. But this was the only area in which I was disappointed.

John did an amazing job with our wedding photos! I am VERY glad that we did not skimp in this area. The pictures are even more beautiful that I was hoping for! He did a tremendous job not only with producing quality, professional photos, but he was also a great presence on the wedding day. He was on time, relaxed and kept everyone organized. Very efficient and great at keeping the mood light and making everyone laugh. I was concerned that I would have to make a lot of decisions on the spot and be asked where to go next etc, but John was great at taking charge and knew where to go to get the best shots. Highly recommend him!

Reader beware: this is about to be a glowing review of one of the most gifted photo professionals we've ever had the pleasure to work with! After getting rained out no fewer than 3 times, our springtime engagement photo shoot took place on the Friday before Memorial Day (May 23, 2014). John Heredia was incredibly patient with us, understanding that a rainy/gray morning was not an ideal backdrop for our engagement photos. He was also super responsive to our emails, and worked hard to accommodate our busy work schedule. John helped us come up with a photo package that worked within our budget, which was incredibly important for a new couple that was bearing the cost of the wedding. John arrived at our home a few minutes ahead of schedule and took the time to familiarize himself with our vision for the photos (at our home and at Great Falls park). His attention to detail, foresight, and planning made for an incredibly effective (and efficient) photo shoot! We were able to get a lot of beautiful photos without a lot of delay and time lost in the transition between poses. John is an artist. That becomes apparent immediately. It’s fair to say that there is a certain formula for engagement photography. John mastered this formula and then took it to another level. He thinks about light, posture, location, color, and chemistry all while directing us and managing to take numerous photos using various photo equipment. His ability to multi-task to elevate his artistry is a tell-tale sign of an experienced professional. John put us at ease, made good suggestions. The results were absolutely wonderful images! Hiring John Heredia was one of the best decisions we made in the chaotic months before our wedding. We also hired John for our wedding photography (and videography) and hope to work with him again on future photo projects (i.e., new baby, family reunions, other happy occasions). We can't recommend him highly enough!

We spoke with many photographers before deciding to go with John Heredia Photography. When we first spoke to John, we immediately felt that he would be a great photographer to work with, and we were right. John is professional, accommodating, and easy and FUN to work with. On our wedding day, John came to the hotel to take pictures, then accompanied us to Ft McHenry and Federal Hill for additional photos. He and his staff knew exactly what they were doing and they were very efficient without compromising quality. John's photographs on his Web site speak for themselves. While we were at the ceremony and reception, we barely knew John and his team were there, yet when we wanted a group photo, we knew exactly where to find him. We highly recommend John and his team for your wedding photographs (or any event)! We couldn't have asked for a more professional and delightful experience. A friend once told me that if there's one part of the wedding where you shouldn't cut costs, it should be the photographer. She was right; the photos will remain forever. Making a ~$2,000 investment on photographs that will last forever and that will trigger memories of a perfect day is entirely worth it. John has many price packages from which to choose, and each package can be tailored to suit your needs. Sidenote: our wedding was a same-sex marriage, so we wanted to be extra scrutinous when it came to our vendors as SSM is still new and we were aware that some vendors might be put off by this. Working with John and his team in this regard was a breeze. If any other same-sex couples are looking for a photographer, be sure to talk to John!
