Selecting John as our wedding photographer was one of the best choices we made when planning our wedding. He made us feel comfortable and all around great to work with on our wedding day. He handled every situation with ease and delivered stunning photos which we will always cherish.

John and his 2nd photographer were very knowledgable about weddings in general, they had a plan for everything and rolled easily with so of the last minute unexpected changes we had to make. Both were extremely friendly and made our family and guests feel comfortable and really added to the enjoyment of our day. They were simply a pleasure to be around. They took an incredible amount of amazing, emotion-filled photographs while not demanding a lot of time out of our day. Also towards the end of the night, he pulled us outside for a quick night shot. It only took two minutes, but it's honestly one of our favorite photos, and it's going on a canvas over our fireplace!

John did an amazing job! He was there all day and blended in so well. Never missed a moment and the photos we got back were worth every penny!

We don't typically like having our picture taken. However, John and his assistant made us very comfortable and posing us for our photos seemed very natural and easy. Just a few minutes in, I knew we had picked the right photographer. Our family also commented highly on them! And, their photos were amazing as well!

John's photos captured a lot of emotion, with my husband and I and our family and guests! His portraits and detail shots were very artistic and thoughtful. He took great care to make sure everything was covered and also pulled us aside briefly in the evening for a beautiful night shot. In the end, he was very pleasant to work with and his photos were amazing!

John photographed my sister's wedding this summer. His work was good - the photos are nice and captured a lot of the day, but they aren't particularly beautiful or artistic. We found his working style to be a bit awkward and slow, and then he didn't seem to even take that many shots once he got everything set up for a particular pose. He was very kind and friendly and very present at the reception which we loved, but we didn't get the sense that he listened that carefully to what we were after in the moment.

John is ABSOLUTELY the photographer you want. He made himself very accessible over the phone and email, and he was very prompt with responses. He has so much experience which calmed my wedding planning angst immensely. His calm professionalism and direction during the actual wedding day helped everything run smoothly, and the final product photos left us with stunning memories. HIGHLY recommend.

We went with the "one and done" mentality for choosing all of our wedding vendors, which ended up working out pretty well! John had great communication up to wedding and after, answering emails within hours. We received over 1000 photos from him before the 4 week anticipated waiting period. We got some great shots and he took some videos for us of key moments like toasts, ceremony, and some dances. His price point is very reasonable considering other photography packages I looked at. My only critique is that John seemed a bit shy and did not give us as much guidance on poses as I felt I needed. I wish we would have gotten some more unique shots and variation between groomsmen and bridesmaid photos. Overall he did a great job and met my expectations.

John's attention to detail and friendly personality made him a pleasure to work with. He is also very punctual and the photos turned out gorgeous!

John was absolutely great to work with and we were lucky to get him! We had no idea what we were looking for in photos & styles, but we knew that we liked his, and John was really good about communicating and helping us put together what we wanted. He was very respectful during the wedding Mass (something that was very important to us as Catholics) and had enough experience that he knew to discuss with the priest where he could and couldn't be for photos. Due to some scheduling issues at our church, we didn't have much time for photos (maybe an hour and a half before the wedding and 45 minutes after), but he made it work and had a list of what to do when. We were able to finish pictures outside, but everything that needed to be done in the church was taken care of thoroughly. Speaking of outside, John was phenomenal about scouting out spots that he thought would take good photos; at one point in the evening, he pulled us out of the reception briefly to take some photos under a purple flowering tree - these turned out to be some of our favourite photos from the entire evening. John got many great candids of our guests, and was always just a wave away if we wanted him to grab a photo of us with a specific guest. John was excellent at going a step above & beyond throughout the evening, and we recommend him without reservation.

John was fantastic to work with. He was ALWAYS there to capture the moment every time you turned around. I felt like I was all over the place with pictures, dinner, dancing, etc. and he was always there with us. We never had to worry about the photographer missing anything. John and his assistant photographed my best friend's wedding three years ago. They were both genuinely friendly, calm and had a plan for absolutely everything. This year we hired John to photograph our wedding and they knocked it out of the park! Our wedding was vastly different in style and logistics, but and his assistant really took the time to collaborate with my wedding planner, videographer, pastor, and very involved mothers to help the whole day go flawlessly. We ended up with about a thousand incredible photos that really captured our whole wedding day beautifully.

John and his assistant photographer were very knowledgeable and friendly. The photographs of the entire wedding day were fabulous!

John did an amazing job on both our engagement dession and for the wedding. He was very professional during both, yet was very personable. We absolutely love all of our wedding pi but and are slowly but surely picking out our favorites for our wedding album. We will most likely reach out to him in the future for family pictures as well. Hire this man! You can't go wrong with him as your photographer. He photographed our engagement session along with our wedding and the photographs turned out so beautiful! He made us feel so relaxed and calm, we had nothing to worry about. There were times I told him certain pictures I knew I wanted and the rest of the day I left up to him to do his thing and he rocked it! He goes with the flow very well at the same time making sure we weren't going over in our blocks of times throughout the day. Plus we didn't feel like we had to force smiles ( not one picture of me turned out with a Chandler Bing smile!!) He has the perfect balance of being professional and friendly. Everyone at the table he sat at during the dinner said he was outgoing, funny and fun to talk with! At the end of the day he felt like part of the family, which I felt was an important part in hiring a photographer, after all whoever photographs your big day you want to feel totally comfortable around and trust! John was great! His second photographer (Rachel) was also great. They both knew exactly what they were doing and even gave us advice throughout the day! We even got our pictures in the time frame that was given to us. He is also very affordable. I would definitely recommend this photographer to everyone!

I have absolutely no complaints! John and his wife took our wedding photos and they were incredible! They both had so many great ideas for our wedding party and our couple photos. I also loved that they took pictures of family and friends at the reception. I would highly recommend!! I got all of my photos back within a month and they were all so easy to access.

John did an amazing job with our wedding photos! He was very prompt and helpful with emails. On the day of the wedding he was very helpful with poses and backdrops, which we were extremely thankful for because we weren’t completely sure of what we wanted. Also, he really took our requests into account and captured everything that we had mentioned we wanted and more! We could not have asked for a better photographer, we would highly recommend him!

John was punctual and friendly. We would not rate him 5 stars because we provided him with a list of photos that we wanted taken and he did not take more than half of them. There isn't even a picture of our entire wedding party. Isn't that a very standard picture a photographer would take? One of our flower girls is in less than 10 pictures, most of which she just happens to be standing in, there are none of her walking down the aisle, and none of them could be framed. With the chaos of the day, and so many pictures being taken, we expected him to take control and guide us. We expected him to make sure he got all the requested shots. He did not pose anyone in group pictures so they look very awkward and unprofessional. We did like many of the pictures we received but were disappointed we received only 750 pictures after paying for a full day. Some of my friends have received thousands for the same amount of time. Overall, we would not recommend him because we are so disappointed at the pictures we don't have and you can't ever fix it now!

I hired him to take our company photos (not a wedding but I wanted to give my review of his performance). He came out 3/22/18 and was very friendly and had us stand in front of a wrinkly white sheet (I asked for a white background). He said he would stretch the sheet to remove the wrinkles. We did individual pictures and group pictures. We didn't all fit in front of the sheet but he said he would fix that in the editing phase. When he sent me the photos via a link in an email, they were not very good. I also didn't receive one of our group photos (we had one with our whole group and then others broken out by dept.). He said "those were the only group photos that turned out". I replied saying I didn't understand and if they didn't turn out won't you need to take them again? I never got a response from him. I emailed him several times after that, called and left him a voicemail, emailed him using his website contact feature and never heard from him again. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable. I do not recommend using him, especially if his photos "don't turn out" and you want to hire him for an event you cannot recreate.

We didn't have much experience being in previous weddings or with researching photos we would want and he was ready for everything. The whole photo time and evening flowed so easily, he was ready for the next step of the day and the photos are better than I could have imagined. If you want stress free beautiful photos John is your man!

I could not be happier with our photographer! He was so creative and easy going. He really took a lot of stress off me. I was able to enjoy the day and know that he was going to capture everything we wanted. The photos are amazing!

We hired John to do our engagement and wedding pictures for our May 2018 wedding. He was enjoyable to work with during our recent engagement shoot and helped us feel comfortable and enjoy the moment. We just got our engagement photos back and WOW! They are gorgeous!! I was beyond thrilled at the quality of the pictures and loved them all. We are so thankful we found him and are excited for the wedding and to work with him again! I would recommend him to anyone!

I just can't say enough great things about John. He photographed our wedding last weekend and was wonderful and so easy to work with. My husband and I didn't have very many specific photos in mind or very many ideas about what to do in our pictures, but John guided us through the entire day. His experience really showed and helped make the day flow very easily for us. Our wedding party was very excited and loud, and John still dealt with them with ease. He made us both feel very relaxed amidst the stress and busy-ness of the day. He is an incredible talent for a great rate! I would highly recommend John to photograph any wedding!

It was such a pleasure working with John! He's so nice, accommodating, and talented. We did an engagement session with him in South Haven, and the pictures came out AMAZING! We used them around our venue for the actual wedding and got loads of compliments from our guests on them. On the actual wedding day, John came to scope out the venue early and took many photos. He has a great eye for photo ops, like the perfect sunset photos! Cannot wait for the wedding photos to come back!

John did a wonderful job photographing our wedding at Camp Blodgett in West Olive, MI! The pictures we got back were beautiful and captured special moments of our day. He worked with us beforehand to learn about our style and did a nice job showing our fun side. The only thing I would've changed would be to have John bring a second photographer with him to capture shots from different angles, especially during the ceremony. Overall, I would recommend John to other couples.
