There were times I told him certain pictures I knew I wanted and the rest of the day I left up to him to do his thing and he rocked it! He goes with the flow very well at the same time making sure we weren't going over in our blocks of times throughout the day. Plus we didn't feel like we had to force smiles ( not one picture of me turned out with a Chandler Bing smile!!) He has the perfect balance of being professional and friendly. Everyone at the table he sat at during the dinner said he was outgoing, funny and fun to talk with! At the end of the day he felt like part of the family, which I felt was an important part in hiring a photographer, after all whoever photographs your big day you want to feel totally comfortable around and trust! Thank you so much John!!!

ry standard picture a photographer would take? One of our flower girls is in less than 10 pictures, most of which she just happens to be standing in, there are none of her walking down the aisle, and none of them could be framed. With the chaos of the day, and so many pictures being taken, we expected him to take control and guide us. We expected him to make sure he got all the requested shots. He did not pose anyone in group pictures so they look very awkward and unprofessional. We did like many of the pictures we received but were disappointed we received only 750 pictures after paying for a full day. Some of my friends have received thousands for the same amount of time. Overall, we would not recommend him because we are so disappointed at the pictures we don't have and you can't ever fix it now!

would stretch the sheet to remove the wrinkles. We did individual pictures and group pictures. We didn't all fit in front of the sheet but he said he would fix that in the editing phase. When he sent me the photos via a link in an email, they were not very good. I also didn't receive one of our group photos (we had one with our whole group and then others broken out by dept.). He said "those were the only group photos that turned out". I replied saying I didn't understand and if they didn't turn out won't you need to take them again? I never got a response from him. I emailed him several times after that, called and left him a voicemail, emailed him using his website contact feature and never heard from him again. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable. I do not recommend using him, especially if his photos "don't turn out" and you want to hire him for an event you cannot recreate.

lack of editing and affects given to my friends wedding photos I asked if that was something she wanted. Her answer was no. Ive seen tons of wedding albums these were pretty fair quality. He didnt seem warm in his personality either and seemed agitated that he was taking photos which I am not sure why because this is his job.

go with him for our wedding photographer. He was on time and did a good a job at the wedding ceremony and throughout the night. Unfortunately that is where it stopped. John took 635 photos total, of that amount 247 of them were unclear and grainy, roughly 180 photos were unedited, people booming the background, random people looking at their phones, family members being cut out of the family photos, etc. With being the photographer you would think asking 1 or 2 people to get out of the way to take a photo wouldn’t be that hard. But then it again it makes you wonder if he did it on purpose since he is asking $35 per photo in addition to the overall cost, to simply edit the photo. I guess editing is now NOT part of the job? The only editing he did was making a few photos black and white, fading the background and calling it a day, so all the basic stuff you can do on a smart phone. The site he added all the photos to for others to purchase only shows a very small thumbnail of the photo, so you don’t even know what you are buying, “you can’t see the clarity and the details of the photos, so why would I purchase any of them?” Lastly we have been trying to ask him to work with us, since the bride at the wedding was asking him if people were going to be in the background and he assured her, that no one would be and everything would be fine. Now we are being told to pay the additional charge to remove the people. He is NOT willing to work with us and is telling us that everything he did was part of the association’s rules. “Well those associations aren’t paying almost $2000 for a few photos.” When it is all said and done we only have roughly 200 photos of the 635 that are usable and willing to be viewed by others. That means we spend an average of $8-10 PER PHOTO= $1600-$2000. What a waste of money, find another phones and save your money.

Our only complaint was a few pics we would have edited differently but otherwise we were quite happy. We had our pictures available really fast too. Definitely a good recommendation.

He took awesome pictures and we were really happy with all the shots he took, with a variety of settings and camera lenses. He was willing to take charge when needed to wrangle people in for photos, but was also receptive to our requests. One thing I thought was cool was that a lot of our guests mentioned how friendly he was and that they really liked him. I would definitely recommend John for a wedding photographer!

t. He was very quick at answering e-mails with all of my questions and concerns all the way up to the week of the wedding. There were some aspects that we weren't 100% satisfied with, such as awkward lighting in the church (which I'm sure that he couldn't control as it had large windows where light was streaming through creating bright spots) and both photographers completely missing our dog walking down the aisle as our ring bearer. However, I think all of our outdoor pictures made up for it -- his framing and ability to find the best colors for backgrounds is great! I love our pictures, and would definitely recommend John to anyone looking for a great photographer without the outrageous pricing.

were so surprised that our disc was waiting for us when we returned from our honeymoon with all the photos. During the wedding John was creative, had really cool ideas for unique photos, he was down to earth and fun to have around. Which I find very important since he was with us the entire day of the wedding! The photos we received were incredible! He really captured the fun we had throughout the day and more importantly the emotion and intimate moments between my husband and I. The value was incredible, I would have paid double for such an awesome photographer that helped make the day fun and provided such great photos.
