I have never felt so compelled to write a review of a service or product. John outperformed in every aspect of what a DJ should be - fantastic personality making it easy to communicate, was early to the event, willing to adjust as needed for our ridiculous requests, and created a fun environment that kept the wedding running smoothly. I cannot express how pleased I am with his service, and the price is unbelievable. You will not get a better value anywhere else.

John was amazing. From start to finish he exceeded every expectation! He had great communication, guidance, and suggestions. On the day of the wedding, he arrived ready to set up his equipment in multiple areas of the venue, adjusted on the fly, and kept our dance floor packed while also joining in on some of the fun! He also helped us stick to our timeline! We are so impressed with his work and can’t recommend him enough!

John was so easy to work with and very knowledgeable about all things wedding. He took the time to meet and get to know us early on and understand what we wanted the reception to be like. Our reception was perfect and the dance floor was packed all night! We had multiple guests give us compliments about how great he was. Highly recommend!!

DJ John was the best! He was great to work with ahead of time, making suggestions & allowing us to really personalize the play list! He played a great mix of songs and the dance floor was never empty! Plus his pricing is some of the best in the industry.

John did a great job of getting the crowd up on the dance floor. He played a great collection of songs, requests and even a few special requests. He did a good job announcing different moments throughout the night such as releasing for dinner, first dance, last call and closing song. The dance floor was packed and everyone had a good time!

Leading up to our wedding, we mostly worked with DJ John Vavrin remotely and it worked out great. We picked out a handful of songs we wanted to play and asked him to pick the rest. A good DJ is all about timing and DJ John Vavrin knew where to be and when to be there. When it wasn’t time to be somewhere he stayed close by but in the background. He was very conversational in his MCing and he kept people dancing until the end of the night.

John Vavrin was a great DJ. We had some particular requests (I'm picky about clean music) and we had a luncheon reception (which means people are less inclined to dance), but he handled it all wonderfully. People were dancing right to the end! He went along with every request we had and made sure he understood exactly what we wanted. He also communicated well and had an easy rubric to help us pick out music (which was great for a stressed bride)!

DJ John made our reception one to remember! We had a blast dancing the night away and appreciated the variety of music he played throughout the evening. John did a great job of MCing the reception, getting our guests excited about the upcoming dollar dance, bouquet toss, or whatever was next! He was so respectful of what my husband and I wanted and he made sure that our night was perfect. We recommend booking John 100%!

John was the perfect DJ at our wedding. From the first meeting we had with him he was friendly and personable. He really listened to what we wanted. On the day of the wedding the weather was rainy off and on, and it was decided again last minute that we would hold the ceremony outside. John was so flexible and worked so hard to make sure everything went smoothly. John has a great announcing voice and helped keep everything flowing so well. He checked in with us throughout the night and played our requests and our guests request. People were out on the dance floor until the very last second of the very last song. John was amazing and I would Highly recommend him to anyone!

John was the best DJ we could have asked for at our wedding. If you are looking for an accommodating, knowledgeable, willing-to-go-above-and-beyond, and flexible DJ, John is your guy. From the beginning of our planning, he was prompt, organized, and continually in touch with us as we planned our long-distance wedding. After our in-person meeting with him only several weeks before the wedding, my husband and I were relieved and so happy that we had chosen him. During our wedding, he provided a wireless mic for the speeches, and when the dance started, he had great speakers and lights. We had a large variety of guests at our wedding, and he was able to keep them dancing all night long! And clearly enjoying himself in the process! John even offered to provide music outside during our cocktail reception, which we were not expecting, but set the mood and provided a fun atmosphere. Even though our timeline got a bit off during the dinner, he was in touch with us throughout the night and happy to accommodate setting back the dance a bit. DJ John is a talented yet humble DJ, who puts the wedding couple and guests before his own assumptions or musical tastes. There are many good DJs, but they are often expensive. For talent and value, go with DJ John. You will not be disappointed. He was one of the most refreshing and stress-free parts of our whole day, and we highly highly recommend him!

John was excellent DJ and MC. He kept the music flowing smooth and instinctively knew when to play quiet background music and when to amp it up to keep people on the dance floor. There was no awkward silence at any time, and no electronic feed back through the mics. All his gear was professional set up with no loose or exposed wires, all the speaker stands were secure and skirted, and the up-lighting was beautiful. He is a class act.

DJ John Vavrin was the best! He was timely with his arrival and help keep things on schedule throughout the day and night. We used his services for both ceremony and reception. He had our guests dancing for the whole night! Seriously, my feet still hurt from dancing so much. He went above and beyond all night and helped make my wedding a dream come true! I would highly recommend him!!

Having been to ten weddings within the past three years, I've seen my share of DJs and can only imagine how much work it must be for the successful ones to keep the party going until midnight. John, by far, is the most successful DJ that I've seen, and my wife and I were most privileged to have him DJ at our wedding. In working with him, our conversations were always friendly, insightful, and constructive, and his relaxed demeanor was most welcome during our otherwise hectic wedding planning. His skill in engaging the audience and knowing what music to play to keep the guests dancing was obvious, and by the end of the night the dance floor was still full and everyone was exhausted. It's obvious that he has a passion for entertaining, and his knowledge of eclectic music is nothing short of impressive. John definitely has what it takes to be a successful DJ, and I simply cannot recommended him enough.

John and I attended high school together so when I found him on here I knew he would definitely need to be our DJ! Not only did he do an amazing job at our reception, he went above and beyond beforehand to make sure our day would be perfect. Kind, easy to get along with, affordable, and very professional! You won't be disappointed when you book him!

John couldn't have done a better job at our wedding. Prior to the day he was always able to communicate with us whether it was by phone or email. He also made time to meet with us in person 2 times to fully ensure that everyone was on the same page. He was very flexible leading up to the day and especially at the Reception. You could tell he genuinely cared about our wedding day and wanted to do everything he could to contribute to the good time! I would recommend DJ JV as I like to call him to anyone who asked. We received countless compliments and everyone had a great time! Thank you John for your hard work and for making the reception a blast!

John was an excellent DJ. He worked closely with us to sculpt the exact experience we were looking for, and was extremely accommodating to our wants and needs. He has a strong understanding of what works and what doesn't for a given event, and as such was able to help guide our choices--resulting in an overall experience that was a MUCH better than what it would've been had we been left to our own devices. In addition, I was wholeheartedly impressed with the attentiveness he paid to the changing moods/desires of the crowd at the event itself. While sticking primarily to the previously-planned set list, he also exhibited an excellent ability to deviate as/when needed. He constantly kept in touch with us throughout the night to ensure the music was still living up to our expectations, and was highly amenable to any changes that arose (something I VERY much appreciated, after many DJ-does-whatever-they-want experiences I've had in the past). Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. I have absolutely no complaints about John, and only praise to offer. Anyone who has ever thrown any major event (be it wedding or otherwise), knows that the music is a VERY important piece of the puzzle. Great music can make an event incredible, while bad music can kill it completely. Because of this, I hate leaving DJ selection up to chance, and I would caution others against doing so as well. On that note, I would recommend John Vavrin highly.

We had DJ Vavrin for our outdoor wedding labor day weekend and he was amazing! He provided the mic for the ceremony, ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception music, and music and lights for the dance floor. We had a great time and all of the guests loved the nice mix of music he played. He was great about taking requests too- we had guests requesting songs all night. I would highly recommend him as an affordable and fun DJ!
