ed up having a smaller reception in my parents' backyard and Johnny was there every step of the way. He created a custom menu for us, based on our heritage and love of travel. After speaking with some other caterers (with the typical chicken/beef/fish options), I was surprised to find that I was actually super excited about our menu this time!! A lot of people told us that we would be stressed/overwhelmed on our wedding day and that the whole day would become a blur, but that didn't happen for us at all. We felt present and cared for during the entire day, and much of that was due to Johnny and his staff. He checked in on us every so often during the night, making sure that we were happy and seeing if we needed anything. Plus, the food was delicious!! Thank you so much Johnny, we wouldn't have chosen anyone else. In fact, we had such a great experience that Johnny is going to be catering my sister's wedding in a few months as well!

l cheese & cracker plates for guests to grab and go as they pleased, chips and guac served in individual cups, flatbreads and lobster rolls passed around... to a fresh summer salad that was larger than most salads that are served at any wedding I’ve been to... to tender steak that you could cut with a butter knife that melted in your mouth, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Johnny and I developed the custom menu to correlate with my husband and I’d favorite foods. The sky was the limit and he was willing to do anything. 10 stars for Johnny Burke Catering!

nt of doing a site visit to the home and met with my CEO’s wife and me to discuss the event and our preferences. He had a lot of great suggestions to help guide our thinking and make decisions. I loved that he also was so flexible! When we weren’t completely certain about something, Johnny would say ‘why don’t we go with this for now and we could always change it?’ It was a relief to feel like we weren’t locked in on everything. He provided a full service operation! His team brought in all the glassware, dishes, and serveware. My CEO and his wife so appreciated that they didn’t have to worry about clean up after the event. They prepared and set a beautiful table for the dinner. His staff functioned as chefs, servers, and bartenders—they were all so attentive to our guests’ needs. Johnny developed and executed a menu that was Ah-mazing. We started with passed hors d’oeuvres that were cool and different and interesting (short ribs with polenta and butternut hush puppies). Then we sat down for the first course of crab cake, followed by a plated salad that looked just elegant. We opted for a buffet dinner and enjoyed gnocchi, ribeye and salmon. Often buffets can start to look ‘tired’ and messy quickly, but the staff was quick to keep the platters refreshed and looking full. We finished with a dessert of chocolate and fruit duet that was lovely. Johnny and his staff set a very high bar. They have great knowledge and experience, they are extremely professional and have great attitudes, and they are full of energy and passion for what they do. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Johnny Burke Catering for any important event you are planning.
