For over 25 years, Johnny Earthquake and The Moondogs have brought their compelling celebratory spirit wherever they go. In addition to weddings, the experienced band has previously performed at Mardi Gras balls, festivals, parties, and more. Thanks to their engaging on-stage energy and delightful performances, couples and their loved ones are sure to have unforgettable dance floor experiences.
To keep newlyweds and their guests dancing all evening, Johnny Earthquake and The Moondogs offer a variety of services. The band is familiar with an array of musical genres, spanning from jazz and R&B to rock and disco, and many more in between. To deliver memorable performances, the group plays guitars, keyboards, drums, saxophones, and trumpets, in addition to harmonious vocals. ailoring the entire evening to feel personal and authentic to my husband and I. They showed up on time with a pack of 9-10 incredible musicians, brass instruments, percussions, strings, and vocals, and the entire evening they engaged my guests.
They have an extensive list of over 250 songs. They have an incredible manger named Adam who did a 1.5 call with me (the bride) to personally customize our set list.
I truly feel the presence they brought to the most important night of my life was magical.

Of course, Adam was a Saint and answered any questions we had throughout the process and they even went above and beyond to make the band fit in such a tight space at our reception venue. Our guests were on the dance floor the whole night, and everyone raved about how great the band was after the wedding was over. The music the band played for our guests really kept everyone dancing and enjoying the night while celebrating our love. We were even given options to rent lights that were set up at our reception, which made the room even more like a dance party. I cannot recommend this band enough to anyone looking for a fun time.

y surprises. The night of the event they were set up timely and everyone was professional. The musicians were ALL TOP NOTCH….the fiddle player was an extra bonus and the crowd went wild over him. Guests danced all night long and are still talking about the band. Rodney and Kelly kept the crowd involved and entertained. They even came in the crowd with the tambourine and mic for people to sing along while they danced. They took minimal breaks. I truly can’t brag on this group enough! Booking them will be the best thing you do for your event!!

The band kept everything flowing and was completely interactive and personalized things just as we requested. Adam was so great about announcing things as they were happening and helped us keep things in order. They knew exactly how to get people moving and the dance floor was full until the last song was played. Everyone talked about the band for days and what a FUN time the reception was. If you need a band for any occasion look no further than the Moondogs. Our friends and family still tell us that our band was the best part of our reception and their feet hurt for days. rage band. This band is outstanding in every way. Their instrumentals are great, the vocals are on key and the lead female singer has great vibrance in her voice. They also know how to make the overall sound crisp and not “clash” when they crank it up. They have an extensive song list. We had the band for our wedding and picked several 80’s hits which I even got to karaoke with a couple of times! You get what you pay for with this band and I highly recommend them.

They were very professional and were great at helping keep things that we wouldn't have thought of moving smoothly; introducing the couple, first dance, when to get other people up and dancing when to do special dances and songs. The MC abilities weren't something I would have thought would have been that important, but they really were. If you've ever been to a wedding that didn't run smoothly and people didn't know what exactly to do, you'll know that having someone run things smoothly makes everything much easier and better for the guests. The music was fantastic and the guitarist's dance moves were amazing. We have already recommended them to other couples and would absolutely book them again if we ever have another need for a band.
